I was first reluctant to purchase but this is literally the BEST I’ve ever used. Better than Dyson I would say.
You won’t regret it as it dries super fast and leaves your hair with shining and soft appearance.
Impressive power! This hairdryer exudes quality in both sound and appearance, and it lives up to expectations with its performance. Delivers excellent drying power while maintaining scalp protection. Highly satisfied with its overall quality and performance.
Bought this after my GHD hairdryer went bang (had it about 8/9 years). Also got this when on a very good offer for Black Friday. I’ve always been a “a hairdryer is a hairdryer” girl but omg this dried hair so fast I was genuinely amazed. Really quiet compared to my previous one too.
Bought it for my wife and she’s happy with it. An upgrade from a older hairdryer.
As usual from Panasonic, quality made products. I would just say that is a bit on the heavy side and might be unconfurtable to use for some.
I would buy again based on features and performance.
Using this hair dryer for a very long time now and I can say it does an excellent job. It dries my hair very quickly only downside is that it is pretty heavy and I would not recommend it for travelling, takes up a lot of space.
Seems to have sufficient power and heat for my hair-drying needs. The “weight” other reviewers have commented on has not appeared to be an issue for me in any way. Only recently purchased so can’t comment on longevity so fingers crossed for that front!
Quite heavy but soon got use to it liked the different settings you can have it on, have got use to it now as my old hairdryer was about 15 years old. would recommend
For the price, exceptional. I finally upgraded from my 20 year old thing that smells of burning every time I use it and I wish I’d thrown it away sooner!
This thing is quiet, quick, plenty of options for heat and speed, perfect. It is large but that doesn’t bother me.

– lightweight
– Nice design
– comes with a few attachments
– doesn’t overheat when using for long periods of time

– the cool air button doesn’t seem to make any difference
– it’s not as powerful as other hairdryers I’ve used. I have curly hair and it takes around 40mins to an hr to diffuse
I just love it! My hair is so soft and no more dry hair and using less conditioner. I used to have a cheap hair dryer and I wanted something better at a good price. Best choice ever, won’t be disappointed.
This hairdryer seems bulky at first, but the difference it makes to your hair is fantastic, my wife is a hairdresser and she loves how frizz free it leaves hair. As said its bulky so not suitable for travel but great for home.
This hairdryer is absolutely amazing! I have naturally frizzy hair and I would say it takes away about 90% of the frizz. The hair definitely looks more shiny and healthy and that’s just after one use.
I was hesitant in getting it because I had read some reviews that said that it is heavy and noisy. I guess that depends from person to person. I’m tall and rather large so I didn’t find it either heavy or noisy. You have to understand that it’s a 2000 W appliance so yeah it will have some noise.
The plastic is sturdy and high quality and it dries the hair (I have long hair ) in less than 5 minutes.
All in all I love it and I couldn’t recommend it enough, bonus I got it in the sale so win win .
Dryer is fairly light & comfortable to hold. I like it’s speed & heat settings & it also has a cool shot button. Nice overall profile & colour of a dryer & not too expensive
I finally decided to replace my old hair dryer and this one seems perfect for damaged and fragile hair also it was half price and a decent brand. 1st impression: sadly its bit more noisy than previous one, but it gave me that ‘professional luxurious hair salon’ feeling while I was using it so far so good
I have shoulder blade length hair – I thought my hair was dull and just naturally got knotted very quickly but it turns out my old hairdryer was to blame! From the very first time I used this new Panasonic dryer, it changed my hair – my hair is smooth, shiny, doesn’t knot, and looks silky and healthy. The dryer is easy to hold – lightweight and the buttons are well-positioned so you don’t accidentally change the settings mid-dry!
Highly recommend!!
Less noisy than other blow-dryers. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. My hair gets dried fast and the air is not too hot to feel like my hair getting burned. Haven’t travelled with it. I used it for every day useage.
I find this hairdryer rather heavy to use which is shame as I purchased after reading reviews which said it wasn’t heavy. It does make my arm ache so I keep stopping the drying process. Maybe it’s me not
having the strength I used to now in my 70s. I am disappointed and now looking for another dryer.
I have very long hair and the hair dryers I had in the past were ok but nothing compares to this. It drys my hair in half the time and even though it fairly big in size it’s ergonomically designed to be handled with ease.
I cannot believe a hairdryer can make such a difference to the condition of my hair, it’s amazing!
Leaves hair static free, smooth and soft. It’s a little bulky but the results make up for it. At this price point it’s a great buy.
This replaced a Phillips hair dryer I’d had for about 25 years, which I loved. The Panasonic is reassuringly weighty and feels well made.
Not sure why people don’t like it. Yes, it’s possible to activate the cold blast feature, but only if you hold the button down (!). So if you do that, adjust your grip.
The length of the lead is fantastic. As a tall woman who dries her hair standing up, there is more than enough flex to enable me to dry the top of my head – not every hair dryer allows this.
I didn’t take it away on one occasion, and using an alternative reinforced to me the quality of the Panasonic. It doesn’t cook your hair dry.
This Panasonic NA98 with its Nanoe technology and Mineral ions is very intriguing.
First impressions – The hair dryer has a foldable handle making it compact enough for travelling. The weight of this model is also lighter than some of the other models from Panasonic NA range. The weight distribution is more centralised. I also like the smooth motor, hardly any vibrations in the hand and low noise.
Regarding the functions and settings. There is a standard hot and cold setting, but also a useful auto temperature which switches from hot to cold air depending on the hair dryer sensing the heat. This reduces excess heat on the hair which may damage the hair. This is also ideal on children.
My kids, one has curly hair, their other straight silky hair, this hair dryer is gentle on both their hair types, yet provides a softness and shine to their hair.
The Nanoe function provides noticeable softness to the hair and reduces frizz. My youngest has really Curly hair, using this hairdryer I have noticed a huge difference in the reduction in frizz. Her hair is softer also. Impressive technology.
The mineral ions is meant to reduce split ends, but only longer term, regular use will only determine how well this technology works, but first impressions is good.
Extra features such as the scalp mode (provides moisture via Nanoe) reduces dry scalp. This is a really interesting feature. Especially those who suffer from dandruff and itchy scalp.
As most hair drying users know, using a hair dryer which produces heat only can result in dryness. The Nanoe is superb as this counteracts the dryness. Additionally the Skin mode is designed to provide moisture to the skin on the face.
It’s amazing how hair dryers have evolved. The Nanoe is noticeably impressive.
I have become really fond of this hair dryer, it’s efficient – dries hair quickly, excellent results and well made.
The Nanoe tech in this hair dryer makes the hair slightly more glossier and softer. The build quality is good, though you would expect that for the price. The standout feature apart from the Nanoe is it has 3 heat AND 3 speed settings which is rare these days, and offers more flexibility.
However the drying speed is relatively slow when compared to other driers.
The Baby Bliss 3Q another premium priced hair dryer at a similar price point unfortunately blows the Panasonic away, on several counts.
1. The Panasonic is slightly bulky and unwieldy in direct comparison to the 3Q which is better balanced on the handle, with a better handle.
2. The 3Q has a sophisticated digital motor, which spins faster, more smoothly, and quieter with less inertia. Probably the best motor besides the much more expensive Dyson. It has a delicious spin down sound when you switch it off. The Panasonic sounds more agricultural in direct comparison. However, in isolation you wouldn’t know the digital motor in the Baby Bliss could be better.
3. The 3Q dries much faster and has more power and airflow
4. The Panasonic when in use, produces a strange electrical smell (maybe this is the Nanoe?) on a very subtle level like static electricity. The 3Q doesn’t.
5. Most annoying of all, is the Panasonic has a intensely bright LED on the body and is irritating in use to my retinas. Though this can be covered up with non transparent tape.
The gloss and softness of the 3Q’s super ionic feature is comparable, though the Nanoe does have the edge in glossiness and is superior in that respect. The Panasonic also has a diffuser.
Returned the Panasonic, and kept the Baby Bliss 3Q – so give the 3Q a look if you are considering the Panasonic Nanoe
I wanted to rate the Panasonic as 3.5 stars.
Get the Panasonic if you want slightly superior shine, flexible 3 speed and a diffuser.(and don’t mind an extremely bright LED which may drift into your eye sight during use)
Get the Baby Bliss for better balance and handling, smoother more powerful digital motor, and much faster drying
