I’ve got a slow growing beard, had these a few months and used it 3 times, all 3 times I was pleased. It was a great sale price at the time, certainly consider buying it.
Bought for hubby, he’s happy with the performance of this so far and I’m pleased his beard is better maintained!
However, it can become uncomfortable to hold with the beard-grade-switching thing in the middle.
However, if you are planning on using this thing for the neck expect it pluck it out and cause some pain, because that is where this thing fails to do its job.

Great little beard trimmer. Reasonable price and very easy to use.
Was on sale from 100 to 40 and so glad I brought it. Cuts beautifully much better better my cheap old one. Knew I needed an upgrade but didn’t realise how much until I used this one for the first time today, trimmed my beard down to a stubble beautifully and didn’t leave any loose long hairs and only needed to go over once. Deffisntly reccomend. Can’t comment on battery life yet as only just used one but had to come and write a review which I never do unless it’d bad
If you use the trimmer on low battery and you have thick hair, there’s a possibility of your hair jamming the trimmer. Don’t think this is because the trimmer is faulty. You just need to plug it in and press the power button and that should unjam it. One last thing. You need to buy the trimmer with the extra lengths. It’s probably the best value for money. It says beard trimmer but you could actually use it for your hair. It has 22 different lengths. Basically, you have 3 extensions and you roll the number plate to make each extension longer/shorter. This measure in mm, but in terms of “numbers”, this goes up to like no.6. If you wanna cut longer hair then buy an actual hair trimmer. I use both in conjuction but I mostly use this.
Efficient for the beard, but doesn’t cut close. Inefficient for shaving your head
But the uniquely shaped charger, for which you cannot buy a replacement for without buying a new trimmer, means at some point, long before you wear the trimmer out, you will be forced to scrap the trimmer or buy another when you inevitably lose the charger.
It wouldn’t have been difficult to have a standard charger port. The decision not to and to refuse to supply replacements was a deliberate and mean spirited decision by Panasonic.
Some reviewers have complained that “my old trimmer did this…”, “…would rather have spent time sourcing a new charger.”, “as I was trimming my cat jumped up and broke an antique vase, so I wish I had never bought this product.” etc.
It’s much of a muchness, but I’m happy with my choice.
It is human nature to resist and reject change
Works well, charge last a long time…easily enough to take on holidays.
Would have been 5 stars but the charger is a bit poorly designed. Plug shape awkward so can’t use in some sockets and really no excuses for not using USB these days!
Was concerned about getting a trimmer that would not give up the ghost when trying to deal with some heavy duty trimming. Is coping admirably so far and the battery seems to be lasting well too
I have the Shaver since purchasing almost every 2-3 days in use.
Even though its meant to be a beard trimmer I also use it to cut my hair. Since I have relatively thick hair I was a bit sceptical about it but this Yoke managed to cut through my mane with no problem at all. In all fairness even better than the hairclipper I also have at home.
Battery life is absolutely satisfying, I rarely have to charge it.
An absolute plus is the waterproofness! I can trim my beard comfortably while having my shower and don’t have to worry about whiskers lying around everywhere in the bathroom.
My Girlfriend already stopped complaining which is a nice side effect.
Cleaning is particularly easy, quick and no rocket science at all!
All in all I can absolutely recommend it to everyone who wants a quick and easy trim or haircut.
There’s only 1 point I would like to point out:
The manual is thick as a Bible, in my opinion that’s absolutely not necessary, a lot of paper could be saved for a better purpose.
Trimmer works great for me. I have thick hair and it’s worked smoothly. Not as loud as other trimmers. Ideal for those that want a medium/long beard. Would be nice if it had a battery indicator to know how much battery life is left and not great for 0.4mm trim.
So far really good. Like most I’ve spent a long time buying beard trimmers to work on 1-2in length breads but I do have coarse hair where a lot of the trimmers I bought left tiny hook hairs after cutting which would really annoy, or blade that would just push the hair along and not cut. This is the best one so far and cuts without hooks and really is sharp enough. Time will tell how long it lasts
They have thought of everything, I have had bad luck with so many. Mostly due to Chinese batteries and Chinese chargers failing. That’s why I stayed away from Wahl! Excellent cutting ability, perfect lines and even trim all over over.
Inside the box you get three guards for different lengths, a little bag, charger, a brush and some blade oil.
The trimmer feels extremely well built and the blades have no problem even with very thick beards.
It’s as simple as selecting the right guard and selecting the length you want (the three numbers on the length wheel correspond to the different sized guards!). You can also use without the guards for detailing.
As you can replace the blade easily this is going to last a long time, it’s also waterproof so easy to clean.
Prior to this I was using a top of the range wahl trimmer, which struggled with thicker hair and had serious design faults. Switching to this trimmer I was able to trim in a 10th of the time of the wahl, even with a very big thick corona beard. If you value your time buy this trimmer.

It’s very practical and sharp. It takes me a fraction of the time to trim my beard. The charge on the battery lasts about an hour and charges very fast too. The best trimmer available. I’ve used it to cut my hair and performed very well too.
The materials and construction quality are also quite good.
When received, their was a wrong charging cable, doesn’t fit, but Amazon was good at replacing the whole set. Took a week but all good now.
Brilliant. Purchased this item to cut my hair during lockdown as I like it left a little longer than normal clippers will cut. The 30mm setting this clipper was perfect and was easy to use by myself.
The adjustable length makes it easy to change the length when required and the clipper oil included, along with the detachable blades makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze.
Definately recommend for either beard of hair clipping.
I bought this to trim my Yorkshire Terrier during the quarantine as the pet-groomers are closed.
Great product, cuts well, my dog is not scared of the sound/vibration from it, and using the biggest nozzle, it is easy to change to the different lengths I was using.
Saying that, cant wait to get him back in to the groomers (solely based on my performance).
After searching through 200 options on amazon and realising 199 of them were only shipping after 60-75 days, I went ahead and bought the 200th option. This one.
I cut my own hair in about 25mins (my first time ever) –
1. I used the 30mm setting for sides, and 25mm to do a bit of the edges and left it natural
2. The blades did not pull my hair
3. I have thick hair
4. Battery lasted no problem
5. Pack is supplied with oil canister, so that’s that
6. Feels really WELL BUILT.. chunky yet not heavy, and its not too loud
7. Comes with a pouch, you can store the trimmer and 1 guard (including largest one) – BUT not the charger
At 75, it would take me 2 times of good use to break-even (typical central London cuts are 30-40quid).
Stuck at home and need a trimmer that can pull off as a temporary clipper so you don’t look like a caveman in your video call? Go for this.
It’s honestly nearly the perfect beard trimmer.
BUT. When I take the clips off to do my neck line it just tugs and pulls on the odd hair. I use my old 19 qwid Philips trimmer to do my cheek and neck lines. It’s never snagged or pulled. Now that’s not good for such an expensive trimmer.
That really let it down. And to be honest it surprised me. I even charged it up to make sure it wasn’t running slow and snagging. But nope. For some reason when you take those grades off for a closer trim it yanks and catches.
Have used this beard trimmer twice since the lockdown and I’m extremely impressed by its performance in general. This is the best on the market for long beards (in my opinion) that is coming from a reliable brand. My only gripe is that it doesn’t have a precision trimmer which would have made this review a 5-stars. Generally, I do recommend it for those with long beards.
I’ve been using this trimmer now for 3 weeks and just love the ease of use, ease of settings, ease of cleaning, the great quality, the battery charging time of 1 hour is perfect.
To kept my beard trimmed to the length I want I use it every 3 days and I have just cut my hair to 10mm (I don’t have thick hair) it was so easy.
Tt has decent battery life and works when plugged in if necessary which helps.
Water proof so can be used in the shower.
Not a hassle to clean, bit of oil on the blade/spring and its good to go again – though the provided brush gets pretty ragged after a while.
Recommended for those with bigger beards!
