Fantastic game, I am over 70 hours in already! I’m not great at games but this game has different difficulty levels so playing on the easiest mode has made it an enjoyable experience. This game was delivered very quickly and has the actual physical game cartridge rather than the download code.

Although formula is exactly the same, I’m liking this one much better than the forth one (P4G) it tackles darker subject matter and has more bad language so feels more mature. Its got incredible stylish presentation and runs flawless on the switch. It’s a must buy for JRPG fans. At 34.99 it’s a bargain. They could have easily whacked a 49.99 on this and it still would have been worth it.
This is an edit a few days later, after spending more time with the game…….I’ve now become obsessed with it, story has me hooked right in. Its an incredible game.

Wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of moment to moment game play, but it has turned out to be quite compelling. Devs have used the long run time to flesh out the characters well. Helps that the soundtrack is full of bangers. Perfect for Switch, since playing bit by bit seems more enjoyable than binging over long sessions, where it can start to feel like a bit of a slog.

I bought this game as a birthday gift for my partner and even though I’m not an RPG person myself I actually want to play it too, it’s beautifully made and the story is super interesting.

I already know P5R is an amazing JRPG but just seems like my luck that the copy I received was damaged so I am awaiting a replacement before I give a proper review

Not sure who the fault lies on as it was damaged through the safety wrap and fell apart completely when I removed the wrap to try and access the game

Update: new copy of the game delivered, loved the game as much as I enjoyed Persona 5 on PS3, the changes made make the game so much more enjoyable to play and the added storylines are engaging and beneficial to delve into for combat reasons

This is an excellent game. I had played a bit of it before on Playstation but having it on the Switch is amazing as it can be portable. This game does take a while to start, the first hour is excellent but the next 10 hours feel like long boring tutorial but once it gets started its great. Probabaly not for someone who doesnt have a large amount of spare time to be patient and play the game.

It’s an incredibly fun game and if you like JRPGs this is simply a must.

And if you like Persona I also recommend Yakuza: Like a Dragon also by SEGA.

So I’d heard the hype back when this launched on PS4 but having never player a Persona game I ignored it as a “not for me game”.

However with the release on Switch I thought I’d give it a go and it’s a dream. Perfect match of game and console and more importantly a great story, gameplay and perhaps most of all fun.

13 hours played so far so only another 87 or so left 🙂

I have always previously turned my nose up at games like this, knowing it is a lot of dialogue and turn based battles. But the hype of the game was just so strong that I had to try it. And I’m so glad I have. The story is captivating and the pace is on point, it never feels like it drags too much. The characters are genuinely interesting and I like to hear what they have to say. And who knew, turn based battles can actually be fun! Lots of strategy involved and it really pulls you in.
This game is greatly suited to the Switch, because it almost feels like picking up a book, and it easy to dive into for short bursts on the go.
This game has really changed my mind about JRPGs and turn based games and I’m very excited to play more similar games in the future, thanks to Persona 5 Royal.

If looking for a great JRPG for on the go or around the house, P5R is perfect on the switch.
You get the best of docked and handheld mode with this version!
Runs smoothly with great load times. Slight visual differences from the ps4 version that doesn’t deduct from the gameplay at all or the style.

I absolutely loved this game back on the PS4, but to experience it in handheld now is just phenomenal. It just feels so right to play it in handheld. As far as ports go, it’s perfect. The gameplay, graphics, everything is there.

If you like jrpgs or if you’re looking for a game to escape with for 100+ hours, this is worth every penny.
