only this is perfect for pre shaving and being lazy. i grow facial hair and this gives it a clean cut (a little stubble but not noticeable unless you feel me up) and is great if you haven’t shaved your body in ages and don’t want to be covered in shaving cream for hours
his has helped and saved me time during traveling as its so much quicker that shaving with a razor.
it gives a close enough shave that it feels quite smooth to the touch and with the 3rd party type-c adapters you can buy makes it easy to charge it with a battery bank or a usb charge
Best trimmer out there. Tried another trimmer when my last One Blade stopped working, didn’t take long until I switched back to a One Blade. Quick and easy for face and body.
Neat! Ok it doesn’t shave as close as a blade nor as fast as a foil razor, but it cuts a half way house very well. Takes a little time to get the hang of it, as it’s not like a razor – you need to press on like a foil shaver. Much more convenient than a blade and gets all the long hairs a foil misses. Also I can trim my hair with it. Great for trimming too
Love i
Really happy with this shaver. It’s a lot more powerful than it looks. I’ve used shavers in the past which struggle with thicker beard hair but this doesn’t!
The combs are really useful and give a good range of lengths. There are also a number of accessory combs which you can buy separately which is helpful.
The shaver cuts reasonably evenly once you’ve gone over the area a few times.
I haven’t used it long enough to determine how long each blade lasts but they still seem reasonably sharp after about 10 shaves. The battery life is also great. Although it would be helpful if there was some kind of battery level indicator. My worry is that it will cut out mid shave!
The only other downside is that it isn’t the quietest shaver but that’s a reactionary minor point. Overall really happy and wish I’d bought this sooner!
I really like Philips OneBlade so I decided to buy a second one. To my surprise the version of OneBlade that comes with a dedicated power adapter is not compatible with almost identical looking OneBlade that comes with a USB charging cable!!! The black two-pin connectors look the same but Phillips in its infinite wisdom modified them by 1mm so they are not interoperable!!! In my view this is some kind of nonsense – if you travel it’s much easier to just take a usb compatible wire, which you can plug to your phone charger or laptop, instead of carrying a separate power brick no matter how small, that can only be used for your razor.
I have used it on my neck and body and it works reasonable well. However, it can cut especially in the neck region so you will need to be careful. It is also not to effected in the uneven regions like the neck, often needing multiple passes to cut. All in all, a decent product for the price.
I had never used trimmers for face before, so I was initially a bit sceptical, mainly due to the hype and overly optimistic impressions from reviewers. However, it turned out to be a really good device, especially if your facial skin is too sensitive. I’ve been using it for over six months, and during this time, I haven’t cut myself once. Thanks to the attachments, you can adjust the hair length, and there are enough options for various design choices. I’ve charged it only three times by the way. The pouch with attachments is a nice bonus for a small additional cost and this combo is definitely worth the price. The only downside from my experience is that the shaving process overall takes a bit longer because sometimes you need to go over an area twice.
This device is great. Only shaver I use for years now. I had the old style, with the individual attachments. I decided to upgrade with the new multi attachment and usb cable, makes this easier with trimming and charging. Great to see Philips have drastically reduced the plastic packaging too
But got it with 1 blade instead of 2 as advertised, no travel bag as well. Box was sealed so I think its just some kind of listing error as model number is a match.
Works great. Better than my 5000 series philips old shaver. I hope the blade will last as they are not cheap.
I was searching for a razor for my teenage son and came across this one. Judging by the reviews. It is fantastic quality and price and my son is delighted with it. It really does give a very close shave and I was surprised myself at how good it is would definitely recommend this to others price Wise you can’t really go wrong and it’s cheaper from others on the market at the moment.
Wasn’t sure about buying these for some months as offers have come and gone. Great offer came in and decided to take the plunge. Received everything including the pouch (some customers have complained not received them) and used it the next day.
It is similar to the Gillette battery powered razors but smoother. However, do not use on armpits or nether regions WITHOUT using the trimmer head first. Because it will burn you if you do shave without trimming first (or wetting the area).
As for the shave itself, fantastic, just like the Gillette and gives a smooth shave.
The performance of this is really good but 3 dark marks have appeared on the green part on both sides in the same place and round the charging hole that I can’t get rid of that don’t look nice at all.
I usually use a hair shaver for getting my face stubble down, and then a 3 headed razor for the rest (Braun series 7) but I decided to get one of these to see if they are any good. I have not shaved for about 2 weeks. The unit came fully charged and within 30 seconds I had done the right side of my face. 4 mins and I was done. Not as close as when I have a Razor shave BUT still close enough to make my current shaver redundant. And unlike the other shaver I have had no reaction in the form or red blotchy bits on my chin (which are usually instant)
Edit: Also really good for ladies legs if you need it!
I am loving the fact you can go up and down makes it so much better too! – Highly recommended
This is a razor that you’ll enjoy using and find satisfying to give you a nice clean shave with multiple adjustments for different lengths in beard. Really light and good battery life and so far not needed to recharge!
I got my first one blade around 10 years ago I think and loved it as I hate wet shaving but always used my one blade to trim and reshape my facial hair and bought another immediately used and as great as my old one the grades are good sizes and the overall quality of the thing is excelle
The best trimmer I’ve used. Trims right down do nothing or to a chosen grade and I can easily line up my beard. Also comes with a pouch which is handy.
Bought this primarily to replace an older electric travel shaver.
The Oneblade comes with 2 blades, a USB charger, a trimmer head, a cover and a small bag which could be used for keeping everything in for storage or travel.
Have use it for shaving and trimming. Trimming is good, useful for round the ears, sideburns and neck (I have no beard).
If you are a clean faced wet blade user expecting this to be anything like as effective as your current manual razer, you will be disappointed. But it will be good as a travel shaver or for a quick shave when you’re in a rush.
It is good that it can be used wet or dry.
Overall good, better than my old electric travel razer but won’t be throwing my manual blade wet razer in the bin yet!
Having fannied about with wet shaving, safety razors, other electric trimmers, this one is the best. No nicks or cuts, quick easy and more than close enough to get through a day or two.
The body trimmer attachment does a good job on your balls too.
My teenage son uses this, he doesn’t have a lot of facial hair so this is just for keeping his upper lip and the sides of his face hair-free. I think if he had more or thicker hair this might not be the best tool but it is very easy to use and safer and cleaner than a razor with foam/water etc. It holds a charge really well and he says its comfortable to hold. My only gripe is that it doesn’t come with a case or stand and for the price I feel it should.
Philips OneBlade Hybrid Body and Face Stubble Trimmer Is brilliant. So much so I then bought a 12 months supply of razors. I then decided to buy the ears, nose trimmers and a case all good quality.
More importantly, this razor gives a satisfying close shave.
I also like I can run it under the tap to clean the razor head.
I won’t be buying razors again from my local supermarket these razors give me a good shave and will save me money.
Truthfully, I would recommend this razor.
I’m a happy customer.
This works well, my first shave with it felt like I had wet shaved with a razor. Been using it for a few weeks now and it is nice and easy to use. Yet to need to change the head but I don’t shave daily.
Used many times for facial and body hair. I was recommended this in the Basement FaceBook group and I would recommend it myself to anyone who needed an electric shaver. Highly recommended.
If you’re looking for a shaver which is safe to use for man-scaping I would personally recommend this. I’ve used it a few times now and not once have I had a knick. It’s the 1st shaver I’ve used where this is the case. I use it without the guard fitted and no chunks of skin or man parts are missing, god forbid hahaha
He’ll,I bought this shaver for my father while he was in hospital we have tried all the the other “big” names and have never been satisfied but this shaver is the best after a approx weeks growth this was delivered and when I went to visit him he was happy to see a razor of any kind, now I went at him thinking it will take a bit of work but no just gliding over his face it took it clean off with minimal effort it has took me sometime to write this review but it’s been a the back of my head as a review that had to be written it is well worth the money and would highly recommended it.
Yes it’s not as close as a wet shave, but it’s very good. Probably takes longer than a wet shave, but I can leave stubble, not get irritation and not buy razor blades – it’s spot on.
Wow! I so wish I’d bought one of these years ago, and after I’d been advised to by a friend. I hate shaving, I always have! I get terrible shaving rash, have thick stubble that is hard to shave, and I’ve never found an electric razor that can shave me close like a blade does, but doesn’t wreck my skin too!
The Phillips One Blade, it’s an absolute dream to use! Use it wet or dry, with gel or not, and even in the shower! The shave isn’t as close as a blade, but it’s close enough for me and it feels like there’s been a couple of hours of growth since shaving with a blade, for example. But, there’s no nicks, no cuts, no rash, no burn!
Plus, the blades are 20 for 3 and each one lasts me about 3-4 months, which means it’s much, much cheaper than buying even the half decent blades from folk like Gillette or Wilkinson.
I can’t recommend this product enough, I really can’t!
Product is fine. Slim, light and easy to use. However, the pack also included a card saying ‘Sign up for an exclusive offer on your first replacement blade’, ‘Expires December 31st 2022’. Unfortunately, it was purchased in June 2013. Oh well, you can’t have it all!
As someone that doesn’t really enjoy shaving I really like this shaver. Being able to use while in the shower and with how easy it is to use and to clean makes it perfect. Also pretty much impossible to cut yourself with it unless you really try and use it in a way that’s not intended. Battery life seems to last quite a while too. Can only recommend!
I like to keep myself clean and tidy with a high standard of body hygiene, I hate having hair so I shave my head every day and keep my body hair down as well. As you get older you need something that does the job without cutting into your scalp and does cause tats on the head. I do recommend this and in the long run, it does save you money on blades.
I like it because you have different heads with it, I never use them I just use the bare blade without the attachments. It gives me a close shave on the neck head and face without catching a spot or pimple on my face. It does give you a close shave you can go against the grain it is up to you, and it is also good for the armpits.
For any other regions check your manual first and always keep charging your unit. The reviews here said you’ll only need 3 blades a year which saves you money there in all it is a great wee razer I am happy and it is light easy to hold and ideal for on-the-go when your heading to the office. Great I would recommend it to everyone.
I used this for the first time today and what a brilliant little bit of kit. it shaves very close to skin my beard was 3 or 4 cm long and it shaved right off with ease
Only down side was the charger was a 2 pin plug but other than that brilliant.
The Philips OneBlade is a unique and versatile grooming tool that can be used for trimming, shaving, and shaping facial hair. It features a unique one-blade design that is meant to provide a smooth and stubble-free shave without damaging the skin.
One of the best things about the Philips OneBlade is its flexibility. It can be used for a variety of purposes, including trimming and shaping beards, mustaches, and sideburns. It is also gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin, which makes it perfect for men who experience razor burn or irritation from traditional razors.
In terms of performance, the Philips OneBlade is impressive. It has a powerful motor that allows for clean, efficient cutting, and the blade is sharp enough to provide a close shave without causing any discomfort. The blade can also be replaced easily, which makes maintenance a breeze.
Another great feature of the Philips OneBlade is its design. It is compact and easy to hold, which makes it comfortable to use for extended periods of time. The battery life is also impressive, with a single charge providing up to 60 minutes of use.
However, there are a few downsides to the Philips OneBlade. Firstly, it may not be suited to those who prefer a very close, smooth shave, as it is designed to leave some stubble behind. Additionally, replacement blades can be quite costly, which may be a turn-off for some users.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Philips OneBlade to anyone looking for a versatile and efficient grooming tool that can be used for a range of purposes. It is gentle on the skin, easy to use, and provides a high-quality shave every time..
I’ve loved and used the Philips Series 7000 body grommer and trimmer for many years now, it’s the best trimming experience I’ve ever had, whilst the close shave end is good it has caused some unfortunate cuts in unpleasant places, and due to it being a foil shaver, it’s tricky to get hairs at different angles so I stopped using that end and instead pair it with a wet shave Gillette Mach 3 razer which has always given the smoothest and safest close shave,
I’ve been happy with this combination for years but this Philips OneBlade went on sale and the reviews seemed good so I figured I’d get it to try. I am glad I did. I’ve tried both a close-shave and a trim with the smallest comb and am very impressed. The trim was very comfortable and the hairs are nice and short, and the close-shave was fantastic. This will now be my primary shaver and trimmer.
Got this for my son for christmas as this old one gave up. He is very pleased with this one, easy and quick to charge, keep clean and great to use. One happy fella
Ok so after trying everything with a good quality shaver and getting an awful, unbearable sore itch for days after, I read some reviews and tried this instead.
It’s definitely got a learning curve and it definitely nicks of you’re not careful with it. Buuuttt with the security guard on it gets pretty close, and it’s so quick and easy to get all the spots.
Take the guard off to get it closer and on those trickier inside areas and it works well. Best of all no soreness, razor rash, or itch afterwards.
I love this shaver and the blades last a long time.
Oh my gosh do i love this item.. let me give you a hint, I DO!
I do not know why but for the life of me i can not trust a razor blade.. which is why i opted for this instead. Thought it might also be a bit faster since i don’t need to apply any shaving cream or anything like that. Just turn it on, shave and pack it away.
I have to say that it shaves really close to the skin so i am really happy with it. You will of course feel some bumps on your skin because it’s an electric shaver but this is as perfect as they get. Battery life is awesome too, the little bits it comes with are really useful and it all gets packed away in the neat little bag it comes with. I just love this item and how much time and headachaes it has saved me.
Bought to replace a broken old multi-comb beard trimmer.
I have a hair trimmer which is too big and clumsy for face, and I initially ordered another traditional beard trimmer which I also found too bulky.
I have a couple of electric shavers which have a pop-up trimmer but likewise they’re a bit unwieldy and imprecise.
So I thought I’d try this.
In the hand it’s not much bigger than a typical blade trimmer, a little heavier of course with a wider handle. The handle itself has rubber grip around the outer edges but not on the front or rear, which I feel would have made it easier to hold firmly. It also has a charge status LED which is better than nothing but not as good as a display as it doesn’t light up in normal use. I’ve not run it low enough to see if it comes on when low, I suspect it may, but I don’t know how much time remaining that gives you if it does.
Initially, having not used a blade razor since a teenager (decades ago) I found it odd to hold as you use this against the direction of growth rather than with it, but you can push it upwards rather than ‘pull’ – if that makes sense – as the blade has two edges much like an old-fashioned razor-bladed shaver before disposables that most won’t remember.
The angle of the head is also perhaps more vertical than feels natural, to me at least, but I’ll probably get used to that.
Using the edge to trim around the mouth is the most tricky part to me as the cutting edge is too wide so you tend to use the corner of the cutting edge held at 90 degrees to the hair. That’s its weakest point to my mind, a smaller ‘blade’ would be better here.
The Combs – well, they work, but I’m a little confused about the benefits of using either the single-edged combes for face and the double-edged combes for bodythe instructions here are useless, a few tiny pictures just give a clue of how to use them, but I just find the one that gives me the length I want whether it’s a green body one or a black face one. With the version I have most of them are pretty short though, for a longer beard or body hair a different choice of heads might benefit, there’s an adjustable head available that might be better, I may het the after-market one and try that.
The cutting blades themselves are like a normal trimmer but on a miniaturized scale, with a smooth, low-friction top face which glides up or down smoothly, for me at least, without causing any irritation even without any comb attachments.
They are built into a head which attaches to the handle with retaining pegs, and swivel a small amount to allow some angle variation, but I felt this a little ineffective and limited to follow contours or provide much flexibility of handle angle, but it’s early days of using it for me so I’ll probably get used to it.
The heads are released by a button on the neck of the handle but I found when taking combs off that this releases easily before the comb comes off.
The cut using no attachment is not a close shave but leaves a very short stubble. It’s very quick to use and glides without snagging. Perfect for what I wanted. I don’t have heavy or dark facial growth so it’s barely visible on me, but it feels like stubble.
For my somewhat sparse ‘goatee’ (I’m just lazy) the combs work well enough if on the short side, they’re easy to run over my chin and lips quickly to leave a short growth.
All in all, while having only used it a few times, and despite what I’ve listed above as the ‘shortcomings’ in my limited experience so far, I like it. It’s quick and easy to maintain a short beard and keep the other facial areas appearing ‘shaved’.
And for under-arms and such like it’s fairly good too.
It’s small, light, and perfect for travel use if you don’t want a proper close shave from it.
We’ll see about durability, battery and blade life as time goes on.
It was very intuitive and even came with instructions. At first I was a bit confused between the different attachments but this was quickly cleared up. I bought this for body hair and although it does okay, I wanted a closer shave and don’t like the noise it produces so will be going back to using regular razors
Often struggle on getting a razor that can trim beard, especially one where the combs actually work but this is perfect, no job too big or small, great at stray hairs or even a full all over trim. Body hair is equally as easy has a different head for that job and it is spot on. Before this I had an expensive braun razor with all the extra approx 150, but now I won’t use that again, very rare I find products fully deliver on what they market, but this one does.
This thing shaves as if it’s a handheld multi-bladed razor. I can’t say enough good things about this product, I even use shaving cream! (I couldn’t do that with my old one.) It shaves up and down for an easier shave, it’s almost a one swipe shave, even if it’s more than just a bit of stubble, it surprised me how good it is. Once you get used to how it performs shaving has become easier, faster and certainly closer. I can’t use standard blades because I get awful shaving rash but not with this bad boy. Really a great product!!
These are perfect body hair trimmers. They trim really close to the skin and using the guard I’ve had no cuts or nicks at all. I’m really impressed with these. Much, much better that the manscaped trimmers I just threw in the bin (waste of time). The Philips are better quality and cheaper.
My son (aged 18) wanted a new razor and selected this one because it came from a good manufacturer. He tells me it is excellent, much better than his previous razor, so he is very happy with it.
The razor was excellent value (possibly due to the Black Friday sale).
Build Quality:
Really good build quality. feels tough and as though it will last. It is loud and I think it’s because the rotary mechanism is exposed (it’s part of the blade) whereas other trimmers hide them internally. But, sounds like a typical trimmer.
Blades:
They don’t feel sharp to touch which is a huge plus for sensitive areas. They feel soft and they glide very easily over the skin. I haven’t nicked my self with these blades yet. Comes with a blade protector useful to identify the blade used for the face and body. The attachments are easy to add and remove, but the grey ones only work in one direction. So if you wanted to use the other side of the blade you will have to re-attach the attachment for the other side.
As a face trimmer:
It does the job but doesn’t feel as good as a typical face trimmer. It’s perfect for detail work. I have a beard so haven’t tried a complete shave. It does provide a clean shave look though.
As a body trimmer:
For me it’s perfect for body trimming, especially the sensitive areas. I use it to shave the sack (using the skin guard) and it achieved a close shave without causing nicks or cuts; I use it dry. The skin guard is really good don’t think I would use the trimmer on sensitive areas without it.
Not really easy to use and the blades are quite weird but do the job. Light and easy to hold
I received the order wuicklh and it’s in great packaging. I haven’t attempted to fully charge the device yet but I have trialled and used it along with the various attachments. I wasn’t sure how the attachments “attached” but was able to shortly follow the instructions on both the product manual and with the help of youtube to get it set up. The shaving aspect is pretty straight forward, I was able to line up my facial hair quite easily. Overall, I enjoy the product and will be using it moving forward.
Did a great shave for down below, had a few nicks on my two footBALLS but nothing nasty as i wanted to check how it did overall. Handled the general shave down there lovely and was easy to do as well. Also used the other shave heard to do my beard and was fast to do and created a lovely shave! Overall impressed!
Really good value – love the tool but a little noisy, no case other than the drawstring bag and it doesn’t quite shave as close as I’d like it to but that’s likely the type of razor in general
With a fresh blade this thing is awesome, if you are after a shave close to clean shaven but without the risk of ingrown hairs then this is it. If kept on top of it does a quick clean job. I use it on my entire head and means I can do it all without too much care. It works way better than any foil/rotary type razor as it can cut any length of hair so if like me you are having a lazy week you don’t have to tool up with hair clippers first to get the thatch off.
The only things I have an issue with is it can get bogged down on head hair that has grown in a bit(but I doubt this was its design so I give it a pass)
The other one is more disappointing, I can only get it to cut clean for a few cuts, after that it can leave any peach fuzz type hair (which you cant see unless you go looking). Not really a deal breaker but when it is so good when fresh…
All of this can be tempered by the fact I use it for my whole head so is used way more than I guess it would should you use it on your face and body hair only
I’ve had this for about 2 – 3 months now and I really like this a lot.
My skin seems to get really sensitive but this works really well for me. I like that you can get a good close shave with this very quickly and easily. I have another trimmer that’s quite expensive but for my face I only use my OneBlade now.
I like the guards, they clip on really easily and you can go in all directions with the guard on and because of the design there’s absolutely no risk of you going to short if you go in a certain angle which can happen with traditional trimmers.
The battery life is brilliant, once I give it a full charge it lasts a really long time before it needs to be charged again. As I said I’ve been using this for a good 2-3 months and see no wear to the blade that I’ve been using since I purchased it, the pack also includes a second blade which I thought was brilliant.
I get a good line up using the edge of the blade and I don’t seem to get any irritation at all and I use this dry.
I am disabled and struggle with my coordination but this has been perfect for me and it’s precise enough to use with beard shaping templates if that’s something that may help people.
It’s also really easy to clean, I really like that you can rinse it under the tap. The product itself also feels good quality.
I can’t find any faults with this product at all.
If you are specifically wanting a proper clean shave then this is not a product that will benefit you, however if you are looking for something that will deliver and quick and decently close trim, then definitely consider the Philips OneBlade.
There are several models of the OneBlade available for your choosing: ‘QP2630/30’, ‘QP2530/30’ & ‘QP2520/30’ which are all very similar, except the ‘QP2630’ has all the attachments whereas the others have less; typically going for this model isn’t much extra, though you can purchase the extra body & skin guard attachment separately). I used to own the ‘QP2520’ but recently upgraded to the ‘QP2630’ as I lost the charger, needed a blade replacement and wanted the extra attachments, getting them all separately was a similar price to buying a new full set which luckily was on sale at the time.
There are other models available: ‘QP6510/30’ & ‘QP6520/30’, these two have a different design and allows you to adjust the length of the trim with a multi-length comb attachment rather than having several separate attachments. Have a look to see what is most ideal for your requirements.
I have been using the OneBlade for several years now and it has certainly grown on me the more I used it and whilst I will always prefer a wet shave with the ‘Gillette Fusion 5 ProGlide’, the OneBlade is my go to for a quick and efficient trim without needing to worry about having shaving foam/gel.
I do find this to be effective on the face as well as around the body and it does it comfortably (no tugs, pulls or cuts), however, one area this is NOT suitable for is the scalp (dry or wet) which I’ve found to be uncomfortable to use, so I will always go with the Gillette for the wet shave.
The blade lifespan is rather good with the recommendation to replace them every 4 months based on two shaves per week, though I found that sometimes they last for even longer (guess it depends on how much you shave also). The connection part of the blade isn’t overly strong but in the several years of owning this product, I have only ever broke one which was entirely my fault dropping it on a hard floor.
Overall, definitely a product I would recommend. Makes a good addition to have alongside a wet-shaver so you have the “best of both worlds”.
