Excellent groomer. Leaves a nice smooth finish around the undercarriage ( as long or short as you want!) good battery life ( depending on usage )

In the beginning gentle strokes till your confident for that shorter finish

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI would have given this product a 5-star review, if the video they show was actually accurate, but 4 stars it is.
let me premise this review with the following, (1) never used a body Hair trimmer before (2) was not expecting the results I got from this is trimmer, (3) I’m quite a hairy person.
so first, the battery life lives up to expectations A+, cannot fault the battery life.
The waterproof feature A+ works well in the wet and dry.
I was expecting the trimmer to just trim hair, not completely remove it, on that front I was pleasantly surprised. However, the video shows that a single pass along the hair removes all the hair, this is blatantly NOT TRUE, it takes some effort to remove the hair, and had to do 4-5 passed over the same area before the hair was removed. if I was Philips, I’d remove that video and put some more true/accurate. The back hair extender is a little flimsy, didn’t always get the angle needed, and sometimes it locked out of position, but got the job done more or less. the cradle did keep the trimmer secure and the trimmer never came out once. so, to summarize, more or less happy with the trimmer, does require some welly to get the job done. I did research alternate trimmers/ blades and came to conclusion this was the best solution without cutting up my skin. I hope to use this trimmer for the next few years, also Philips offered an extra year warranty when u register the product online. so, an extra bonus there.

4.0 out of 5 stars kinda works with some effort, ignore the silly video that is advertised with this produc

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am extremely happy with this purchase. It is double-sided so it handles well with both longer and shorter hair. The shaver is waterproof so it can be used really easily under the shower. The side with shorter blades rotates so it’s very easy to use it on body parts that are harder to reach. The product comes with a small brush which is quite useful with cleaning. The small black bag is also a really nice add-on, as it’s quite useful for storing the shaver. The product additionally comes with a British plug charger (I ordered in UK, this may differ in other countries).

Battery life usually lasts for me for around 3 uses. After that the shaver’s power weakens and even though the product still works, it has issues with shaving hair in one go, you usually need to repeat the shaving to have smooth skin or recharge the battery.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best body hair shaver I have ever had

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Philips Series 7000 Showerproof Body Groomer and Trimmer (model BG7025/13) from Amazon, and I must say it has been an outstanding addition to my grooming routine. This grooming tool has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, durability, and convenience.

First and foremost, the showerproof feature of this body groomer is an absolute game-changer. It allows me to trim and groom with ease while in the shower, saving me time and ensuring a mess-free experience. The device is water-resistant, so I never have to worry about it getting damaged by accidental water splashes.

The precision and versatility of the groomer is truly remarkable. The dual-sided design incorporates both a trimmer and a shaver, providing me with the flexibility to achieve the exact look I desire. The trimmer side is excellent for trimming body hair to a specific length, while the shaver side effortlessly delivers a close and smooth shave. The self-sharpening blades ensure consistent performance and eliminate the need for frequent blade replacements.

Another standout feature is the adjustable trimming comb, which offers five length settings ranging from 3mm to 11mm. It allows me to tailor my grooming style according to my preferences and easily maintain a well-groomed appearance. Additionally, the rounded blade tips prevent skin irritation, making the grooming process comfortable and irritation-free.

I also appreciate the ergonomic design of this groomer. The rubber grip ensures a secure hold, even when using it in wet conditions. The groomer’s battery life is exceptional, providing me with long-lasting power for multiple grooming sessions before needing a recharge. The battery indicator is a useful addition, allowing me to monitor the battery level and plan accordingly.

Cleaning the groomer is a breeze as well. The detachable head can be rinsed under running water, and the included cleaning brush effectively removes any residual hair, keeping the device hygienic and ready for the next use.

Overall, the Philips Series 7000 is a top-notch grooming tool that delivers outstanding results. Its durability, versatility, and showerproof design make it a must-have for anyone looking for a convenient and efficient grooming experience. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable body groomer that consistently provides excellent results.

This is the second time I have purchased this shaver. I had the first one for 10 years but the battery finally died.
The razor shaves all body hair and leaves a smooth finish without any nicks

Good bye fully smooth by mistake

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to use, good ergonomic design, and good battery life. The fact that it’s waterproof is also very helpful.
It does the job good enough for me, but would have expected a better cutting trimmer. It does the job and doesn’t pull, but has to go over the area a good number of times to do anything. However, the electric shaver is really good, no complaints there.

The Bodygroom is great, I really can’t rate it highly enough! The blades on both ends have no problem cutting through fine hair and thick hair alike and the foil blades cut down to a very very fine stubble. As long as you’re careful in sensitive areas the foil blades are pretty kind to your skin and didn’t leave me with a rash or irritated skin. It’s worth mentioning the foil blade end will give you a little nick if you try to rush so take your time and it’ll work a treat. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an all over body trimmer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is the most effective body trimmer I’ve had – and I’ve had a few. Did my normal routine in record time.
The double-trimmer heads working with the foil make for short work of your unwanted hairiness.
Saying that, I didn’t find it particularly great (despite what other reviewers had said) on my testes and manservant. It left my sack looking a bit ‘raw’ and I did get one small nick. (maybe I’m pressing too hard) In light of that I’m going to stick to a wet shave for that area (trick is to shave in the growth direction – no nicks) but for the rest of me it was excellent – highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our UsersBought as a replacement for an older, similar device it was a bit of surprise to have it delivered unwrapped by a smiling delivery driver. Note this if you’re ordering as a gift or are shy of stating to the world that you ‘body groom’!

I’ve spared you an unboxing vid as breaking the seal, opening the end flap and sliding out the interior carton was quicker than a camera set up. From this point on however, you might want to put on the kettle!

The trimmer arrives completely discharged and according to the sales info, this takes an hour but fear not you hairy nutted people, you will easily fill this hour after you plug in. If like me you’ve had one of these before, you’ll also find you are now the proud owner of a ‘spare charger’ so into the box in the garage that goes, just in case…

The instructions aren’t important but do provide a couple of key points in pictoral format. You musn’t put the device in your eye (bang goes that idea) and the foil blade should be replaced after 12 months. Other pics show you the combs you could buy as extras to the one supplied and there’s some dodgy pics of which direction to move the trimmer on different parts of your body but probably not the part of the body you bought this for in the first place.

Registering for 36 mths extended warranty is offered should you have the ‘cojones’ to send the broken item back full and covered in your, cojone hair trimmings. To qualify, all you have to do is scan a QR code (use this as the UK instruction for this is actually written in Greek – no lie) and agree to Philips sending you junk mail. To register your product you’ll need the model number which you’ll find Amazon have conveniently covered with your address sticker. Return to the room where you’ve set the device charging and attempt to read the model no. on it. Find a magnifying glass and try again. Return to the registration form online to find your computer has now gone to sleep and you can start the registration process all over again.

By this time, your trimmer will be well on its way to being fully charged – don’t forget you’ll have to reboil the kettle now as well as you’ll need a cup of coffee before you contemplate the next move of actually using the thing. Whilst sipping your coffee, take a final look at the bare-chested model on the box and, accepting the trimmer will not make you look like that, chuck the box in the recycling bin.

Got this to replace the Skullshaver (Bulldog) which was good but stopped working.
This machine is not as good but does give a smooth skin effect for balding men but you have to work at it. The shaver needs to be taken over the head slowly and repeatedly and then it misses bits, so over the head again we go.
Over all it is a good product and does the job, albeit with a lot of effort!

Bought specifically to shave hair in the groin region as well as backside. After first use it has been plain sailing. So long as you take you time with your sensitive parts then you are good to go. Make sure skin is taut at all times and there I’ll be no nicks etc. As said it’s primarily for the groins area so I only use the head with the shaving foil only. I have a specific tool for my chest hair and arm pits. Totally recommend and worth the 70quid

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI owned a previous model of this trimmer and was very happy with it, although the previous model would only charge while on its stand.

THIS model does not have a stand and the cable plugs directly into it which is convenient.

One of my criteria for purchasing this model was whether or not it would continue working whilst connected to the charger because my last model no longer works when the battery died because it no longer holds charge (4 years later)

The answer received on amazon review is that it will work whilst connected to the device, but in truth it DOES NOT work whilst connected.

I’m disappointed in that, but it is a great product and if it lasts as long as my previous model than I’m ok with that.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo, I’ve had this for a long while now (purchased late 2019) and never got around to writing a review, so here we go. I will preface by saying that I specifically purchased this product for the nether regions and that I am a man.

This thing is definitely good, especially for the price-point, more-so when considering that the much-advertised “Manscaped” trimmer goes for almost triple the cost of this and you can still nick yourself.

Because of the design of the blade/foil on the Philips, the likelihood of you cutting or nicking yourself is basically nil, as the foil is smooth and the blade is on the outer edge. However, the downside to this design is that I find it really does not like to deal with long hair. Before I give-out “too much information”, I’ll just say that I am a very hairy man all over and my hair grows back pretty darn quickly; I pretty much sport 2 beards, if you get my drift.

The first time I did a once-over with this trimmer, I’d honestly say it took me well over an hour, if not 2 hours, to get the nether regions to a smooth finish. I didn’t do an initial trim with my other trimmers as I would have no doubt nicked myself to oblivion, almost making this purchase a pointless one.
It was constantly getting bogged down, requiring me to turn it off, remove the blade to clean it out, then put it all back together to use it again (then again, it isn’t meant for “beards”).
Even on hair that was trimmed every month or so (about 1/3rd of the initial length), it would still get clogged-up and therefore take me a long, long time to get a smooth finish.

Now, because of the fact that I should replace the blade (should have done a while ago), it really doesn’t like cutting anything over 1-2cm in length.

On the topic of the blades, they are pricey. 15 per blade, which is essentially half of the price of the entire kit here on Amazon, which I think is ridiculous.

Overall, if you keep yourself regularly trimmed downstairs and want something cheap for easy and pain-free upkeep, this is a really good purchase. If you’re more like me and want something that will allow a full-shave, due to fast-growing hair or because of laziness to upkeep, you might want to look at the newer 5000 series or even the 7000 series.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery hairy dude. Thick course black hair.

Trimmer trims fine but is noticibly underpowered compared with Phillips’ beard trimmers (possibly a deliberate design detail to avoid lopping off a nipple.)

The shaver side is the business end of this product and trims fine to a stubble finish and even closer when skin pulled taut.

Battery is what makes this model outdated. The Nickel metal hydride battery performance of 8hr charge/60 minutes operation is no longer feasible in a world of Lithium Ion batteries that the newer model use (1hr charge/80 minutes operation.)

Finally price. John Lewis has the newer one for 70 so why on earth would anyone bother picking this newer version up from Amazon.

This is a very good body groomer and does give a close shave but I have to finish things off with a razor. I like the double ended shaver for different parts of the body. I gave it 4 stars but I don’t think there is a single body groomer out there that would get 5 stars as they do not shave close enough without a second process. Very happy with purchase.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersPROS:

    1) SHAVES THE UNDERCARRIAGE VERY SMOOTHLY AND EASILY
    2) 1 HOUR CHARGE FOR 80 MINS USE
    3) MULTIPLE CUTTING LENGTHS FOR NON-UNDERCARRIAGE AREAS
    4) QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
    5) IPX7 RATED FULLY WATERPROOF
    6) TRAVEL BAG INCLUDED

    CONS:

    1) A HARD CASE OR A FOIL GUARD IS NOT INCLUDED
    2) CARE HAS TO BE TAKEN WHEN IN THE NETHER REGIONS
    3) FOIL HEAD WOULD BE BETTER WITH ONLY ONE TRIMMING EDGE

I have been using my wife’s disposable razors (she always gives me a razor) for years now. The usual routine is soaping up and careful manipulation of the deadly weapon (the razor that is) whilst in the shower. So I have used this Philips 7025 Body Groomer twice since receiving it. My wife is out of the country for another week, having been home due to her mother being critically ill, and subsequently, passing on. I have used the groomer once dry, and once in the shower. I have only used it on the undercarriage, though I have a hairy chest, that’s what my wife likes.

In my limited experience of the groomer, it is better to use it in dry mode. In the shower, it doesn’t feel like it’s moving smoothly across the skin. When I used it dry, the foil moved smoothly across my skin and left me as smooth as a well known brand (beginning with G, product is the Greek Goddess of Love) lady’s razor. I was surprised at the performance, having had the top Braun shavers (for my face) in the past. In the shower, I didn’t use soap, and perhaps I should have, but the efficiency on undercarriage shaving isn’t anywhere near as good.

Ignore the no-sayers on here. The reason they’ve been nicked or caught by the foil head is down to operator errror. The foil head swivels in 4 directions. The main one being pivoting in line with the body of the groomer, being hinged at the edges. This means you can alter the angle between the groomer and the foil head to keep the foil in contact with the body’s contours. On either edge of the groomer, is a reciprocating saw (that’s what it feels like when it catches you) ok, blade. This is used for trimming and practising latte art on your tackle. The issue here is, you need to pay careful attention to keeping your skin held tautly, and ensuring that the groomer head is perpendicular (emphasis on dic) to your skin. If you do this, the trimmer will not catch your goolies. It happened only once to me, because I figured out the issue and adjusted how I used it. A better design would have been having just one trimming edge on the foil.

The other issue is that the microfibre bag doesn’t really serve any purpose. It’s not rigid, so it doesn’t protect the unit, and it’s not tailored, so it just looks scrappy. I haven’t used the body hair grooming head at the other end of the groomer. I’m leaving that so my wife can decide how long or short she wants my chest hair. All in all, especially since this was on offer at around 40-50% off the rrp, it is excellent. However, even if I’d paid full price, I’d be very happy with this Philips 7025 Male Groomer. BUY IT, IT’S DOTTORE APPROVED!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOn the wish list for a couple of months when the price fell to 49.99. I couldn’t resist despite some of the more critical reviews. What a great product! Read the online manual (much more detailed then the one it comes with) which advised an initial charge time of 3 hours. The first use was perfect – it has two on/off buttons, one for each end, so as long as you don’t get them confused you’re good to go. Gets rid of hair easily and painlessly (very gentle on the undercarriage which was a relief) and is easy to clean. I’ve used it three times now over a period of 5 weeks and I’m still on the first charge. I haven’t used the product in the shower so can’t comment on its efficacy when wet. Highly recommended for a dry shave below the neck.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersI have been looking for a decent body groomer for some time now.
I was reluctant to pay the 90 price tag that this was at the time I bought it, So I continued to use a standard hair trimmer/shaver until the price dropped a little.

I ended up paying 64.60 and to be honest it was a pretty good buy. It is a little noisy when using the foil shaver end but once you get used to it, It cuts pretty close.

I was pretty disappointed in the title of the amazon advert as it included “corded or cordless use” when I bought it (it’s since been removed), Which was the defining moment in me buying it, I figured when the battery reaches end of life I can still use it with the charge cord attached win-win,
However after trying to run it with the charge lead in and failing then looking over the philips site it turns out that product(s) which are advertised as being water-proof will not operate with the power lead plugged in. (pretty stupid feature I mean who would be daft enough to jump in the shower with a live power lead)…

Which brings me on to my next point, this thing is not really good for using in the shower it struggles to cut as clean with wet hair as they tend to stick to your body, Given the choice I would of preferred a none water proof unit that allowed power pass-through (operation with power lead attached).

This unit is fine for trimming/shaving the meat and two veg, Just be careful and use the foil shaver side, as the two trimmers at either side of the foil are smaller and a little more blunt then a regular hair trimmer, With a little patience/practice you can finish up knick-free. Don’t remove the guide and try with the hair shaver side those teeth are designed from shark teeth in my opinion. (it also increases in sound considerably as it cuts through that type of hair, foil-end)

Battery life is pretty impressive I bought this unit maybe a month ago now, Used it on my chest+back (foil end) with a little help on my back/underarms (11mm trim)/arms (11mm trim)/down south (foil end) and its still not needed a recharge.
I also own the philips Series 7000 12in1 trimmer MG7735/33 (who thinks of these stupid names) and the charge lead is the same on both of these units.

Not sure what else to say, It has a premium feel to it even though its plastic it has a brushed metal effect, The rubber handles give a nice amount of grip.
Compared to the hair trimmer I’ve used for some time, this certainly feels like a step up and in the right direction (much safer too).

Don’t forget to register your unit on the philips website for a 20% discount code to use on the site (I used it to buy a replacement foil-head for when this one needs replacing).
Good to have a spare one ready and it knocks a few quid off, making it a little less then it costs buying on here.

I hope this review helps you in some way. Stay safe!

Very easy to use and providing you don’t rush carelessly, very safe.
Whilst both the trimmer and foil options are great, and I used both for years. I eventually stopped using the foil side in favour of a standard Gillette razorblade as it’s easier to maneuver and less prone to causing cuts.
The trimmer is great however, the guard is extremely protective and it’s difficult to injure yourself with it.

I do wish there was a shorter length option though. 3 mm is perfectly adequate for sensitive areas, but 2mm would be great to have as an option for flat areas of the body.

Also fixes the complaint I had with the older TT2040/32 model which was the charger didn’t plug into the device and required a dock which is extremely fragile and hard to keep securely standing. This BG7025/13 model fixes this flaw by allowing the charger to plug directly into the shaver.

I purchased this to shave my very hairy legs for cycling, for which it’s perfect. One side cuts through the forest and tge other gets you pretty close to a clean shave, with no scratches or nicks and only a few spots that needed to be cleaned up with a razor. Also great for chest etc.

It only takes an hour to charge and the battery life is easily good enough to shave you from top to bottom on one charge.

Only drawback is that the trimmer side is quite narrow, so legs take a lot of passes, but the flip side is that it would be easier to use for more tricky areas…

The instructions are poor, but it doesn’t take a genius to work it out!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo far so good. Haven’t had it long enough to see how long it will last overtime. Basically the trimmer gets the hair down to a nice length without feeling prickly, the razor part takes the hair away, but you’re left with a stubble feel. My wife prefers the trimmed feel across the chest, otherwise its like rubbing sandpaper. As for doing your plums, it felt pretty safe, didn’t get any knicks or cuts and they’re nice and smooth so happy days! So the only down side so far, you will need someone to do your back unless you have freaky arms. Other than that happy with the product.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhen I bought my oneblade I was annoyed I didn’t buy it sooner due to negative reviews which turned out to be false. The same is true of this bodygroom. I honestly wonder whether some reviewers have it in for Philips. This is great and much less fuss than my old bodygroom which had detachable heads and a cradle to charge. This one is all in one and the charger plugs in directly. As regards shaving your privates: I realised straight away that it will pull if it’s used it at an angle, but hold it flatter to the skin so the foil is touching but the teeth are more or less 90 degrees then it doesn’t pull at all and still clean shaves. I think this is why some have reviewed it badly. The old bodygroom worked at an angle where this one won’t. It’s a great shaver but it needs a different technique which will take a bit of getting used too coming from the old model. In any event, the important thing is smooth balls with no nicks from the very first go!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is the 3rd version on this product I’ve bought, having only needed to replace older models due to battery life becoming diminished. (They really should make them so the batters can be changed… easily)

This one seems to be an improvement on what was already a good design. It glides without snagging or pulling hair. Trims quickly without having to repeatedly go over areas. Possibly slightly quieter than the older model.
Not sure why they have done away with the charging cradle, I quite liked that. This rubber flap over the charging port will surely end up letting in water. Not that I’ve used it wet yet as from experience with previous models they used to clog up a bit when hair was wet.

All in all I would recommend this as it does everything you need in 1 units.

Can’t give it 5 stars though simply because of the price. I really do wish they weren’t so damn expensive.

Coming from a background of only trimming body hair once or twice a year, I finally decided to take things seriously and do some research. Previously, I had been using a reasonably priced Panasonic beard trimmer and then using Veet or razor blades to get the more difficult to reach areas. This led to razor burns and rashes and itching for the first few weeks.

    No longer!

Using the trimmer end to lower the hair so that I could then pass over with the foil; I noticed that the self sharpening blades were much more accurate at capturing and cutting the hair than my previous device. This meant I was required to do fewer passes to get the desired result.

Then when using the foil shaver I noticed a few things:

    – Firstly, I managed to do my whole body with the foil attachment, to a high level of accuracy, made easy by the 4D moving head.
    – Secondly, I did get a razor burn in my armpit and a few nicks in my lower region even using this end of the device, but with a little less pressure and more care this no longer becomes an issue.

I now feel more inclined to regularly manage my body hair due to how easy this trimmer has made this otherwise rather lengthy and boring task. Having trimmer and foil in your your hand at the same time (without the need for a bag of attachments) is a stroke of genius.
I found the trimmer/foil combo to be less effective at dealing with a beard however (sometimes tugging a hair or having difficulty reaching an area). The Bodygroom 7000 is definitely focussed on the body as the name suggests.

A little overpriced but definitely worth it.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersBeen using this product for a while now as a bodygroomer (it’s intended purpose!) And it’s so much easier too use than other products I’ve tried. Normal razors gives me terrible razor rash, this has no issues with that at all.

Use the clipper side to get the hair down to stubble then use the other side to remove it completely. It does take a few runs to remove it but it does all go eventually.

Waterproof so can be used in the shower and rinsed under cold water once it’s been used. Replacement blades are also a good price (recommended to change every 6 month to a year I believe, depending on frequency of use!)

The clipper side will cut occasionally, so you don’t have to be careful I’m certain areas – as long as you keep on top of it regularly you won’t need to use the end very often though. I’ve not get had any knicks or cuts from the foil side.

Charger is the same as other Phillips shaving products, which is handy if you have more than one (I also have a beard trimmer) as they use the same charging cable (not usb, it is a proprietary cable)

It would benefit from something to help get to your back, with this bodygroomer you’ll have to get someone else to do that unless you’re super flexible!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWhen I started looking for a body groomer, I kept looking at men’s grooming tools. You know, the beard trimmer/nasal hair trimmer type things.
Once I’d genned up on what I was really after (a leg and body shaver tool) the available choices narrowed considerably. I really wanted to buy a cheap groomer, but the more reviews I read (not just on this site) the more it seemed that I would have to buy the top dollar groomer – the Philips 7000.

Having taken the plunge, I was glad I did! The R&D budget for this must have been significant, it does its job so well. Very effective on all parts of the body, minimal discomfort in use, and so easy to use.

A small gripe – I wish the longer hair trimmer went down to 1mm instead of 3. That would avoid the awkward crossover point between the 2 heads – the foil part can tug a little with the longer hair.

Really, don’t waste time trying to save money by not buying this – it really is worth the money. Or as they say – Pay cheap, get cheap!
