I was dubious at 1st purely because of the initial rrp but then i thought about how much i spend on deep tissue massages and realsied this paid foe itself within 2 months.
I love the firmness of this, do build up the speed to this gradually as i said it really is quite firm and really aids aching muscles.
Having such a universal design to this makes this so universal in it’s deliverance.
Great weight to it. compact so it’s great for travelling, variety of speeds, great value for money for athletes or even if you just visit the gym/work out once or twice a week this will really ease the muscle pain especially after leg day.
Would highly recomend, you really have to try this out to believe how good it is
This vibrating roller is a great tool to have in your arsenal for massaging the larger muscle groups, but it is very firm. It’s less like a massage and more like beating your muscles into submission. After the first time I used it my wife asked where I had managed to get the bruises on my back (I did overdo it a little, so that’s on me). I’m not saying this to discourage, but to enable an informed decision.
Everything about this exudes a certain level of quality, up to and including the box it comes in and the bag provided for storing it. It’s easy to charge and easy to use. I’ve also found the battery life to be reasonably decent so far.
This vibrating roller is selling for 95 at the time of this review. I personally think that’s a bit steep, quality notwithstanding.
Overall I’m very happy. Four stars from me.
We tried this a few evenings ago and found it rather fun to use.
Feels really nice being rolled down and up the the back.
Vibrations can be strong is needed.
Lasts a good while on a single charge.
Recommended.
This comes with a USB cable, storage bag and very brief instructions.
The roller is probably on the smaller side of rollers and made from firm but not totally hard blown rubber. It can be used as a standard roller or with the vibrations on.
Charging is easy and so far battery life has been good. The manual says you can check battery life when the device isn’t vibrating but that doesn’t seem to work although the charge level is shown when it’s vibrating.
The roller is getting an app at some point which it can use Bluetooth to connect to, no idea if this will be useful or not.
The roller is operated with one button. Long pressing turns it on and off, short pressing cycles through the modes. There are 4 speed modes and a cycle mode. The first 3 modes are progressively strong vibrations and the 4th seems to be the same as the 3rd. The last mode cycles up and down the modes.
So does it work? Well I’d say yes, on large muscles like the back and hamstrings it adds a level of massage which helps recovery and also feels quite nice. It’s harder to use on smaller muscle groups and has to have weight pressing down on it at all times or it jumps around uncontrollably.
One slight negative is that due to the colour and material it picks up dust etc and can look a bit of a mess unless you clean it a lot. Personally this doesn’t bother me at all and I just leave it covered in bits.
Overal this is a very good roller which may get better when the app is released but it does have a high price tag.
A well built massage roller which seems rather robust, and has some weight to it, but it is not overly heavy for what it is.
Includes a drawstring bag to give it some protection.
The information in the user manual is clear and easy to comprehend.
Comes in a sturdy branded box with a charging cable, the aforementioned drawstring bag, and a small information pack.
Mode 1 is a lower powered massage, with mode 2 providing a medium power massage, and mode 3 gives the most powerful massage. Mode 4 seems very similar to mode 3 but with a subtle difference. Mode 5 has the power repeatedly cycling from low to high and back down to low.
The user manual mentions being able to check the remaining charge by briefly pressing the power button when the product is off. This does not work on mine.
An App is coming soon. According to Protec, this will give the user greater control over customising the massage they wish to receive.
It does seem like quite an expensive product when other vibrating massage rollers are considerably cheaper. I don’t know what the quality of those is like. This Protec Procharge Tremor seems great quality and can provide a very good massage. Perfect for easily reaching areas of the back to provide a vibrating massage when there is nobody else to use a massage gun on you and when using one yourself, you cannot reach the required problem spot(s).
Excellent gym buddy to get recovery more efficiently.
This roller has various vibration settings.
It has bluetooth but i haven’t figured out if there is app available but other then that it does its function and is effective.
Great produc
I used this after a stretch session and it was incredible, there’s different modes and it offers a good massage.
In the box you get a carry case and a charging cable. The instructions say there is also an app coming soon which you can connect the foam roller to (it has Bluetooth).
In use it took some getting used to, as soon as you turn it on it starts moving away from you! I did find it would move under me sometimes when doing my calves but once I got used to it it was excellent. It’s like a cross between a massage gun and foam roller and it offers the benefits of both.
There are a couple of downsides but they aren’t major. For some reason it’s a dust magnet, it needs cleaning after every use. As mentioned before it bounces around like crazy without any weight on it.
Overall this is a brilliant recovery aid, it is expensive though.
I was intrigued by this, not that I’m a pro-athlete, far from it. Instead I’m someone who sleeps at the wrong angle once and needs physiotherapy to work the kinks out for the next 3 days. We have one of those massage guns which is good but difficult sometimes to get to places on your own especially if you aren’t as flexible as you used to be. This roller can be placed on a hard surface and you can use your own body weight to increase the contact levels – this can itself end up being a bit of a workout. If you can find a willing volunteer you can get someone to assist, there isn’t any grips or handles on this so you have to just push on the roller which ends up being a sort of two person massage. Four levels of vibration and a variable option work in conjunction with the pressure of the pad. Good to see USB-C charging here and you get a nice bag to keep it in. Not entirely convinced its worth the RRP of 95, looking at the ‘similar items’ Amazon recommends most are about half this price but I have nothing to compare the quality or effect on, just an observation.
The roller is perfect for removing knots and areas of tightness. As a sports player it has proven a vital part of my routine after matches and long distance runs to release areas of tension! I struggling massively with tight hamstrings which a normal foam roller just wasn’t hitting the spot. The vibrations and control over which level you is the best part as it means individual muscle groups can be targeted as required. I would highly recommend it to anyone who participates in physical activity or suffers with tightness!
