Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUp front, I bought this case for $17 after coupons. I chose this case instead of the Spigen case because I liked the carbon fiber pattern better and liked being able to see the Valve logo on the back. It was nice being $5 cheaper but not a huge factor.

The case is good. Adds a nice bulk to the unit. Texture on the handgrips add good grip without being too noticeable or uncomfortable. I love the carbon fiber pattern and the Valve cutout. It fits the factory case snugly but functionally.

This case could be massively improved with some micro adjustments. I mean, like just a few hairs difference. First, the corner protection on the top right and left are just a bit too thick. I sometimes found myself with a bumper press that didn’t register and I had to adjust my hands to get it to click. It’s not every time but it noticable. It’s entirely possible this could be having a case in general though, as my natural grip with a case has my index fingers on the triggers while they rested closer to the bumpers with no case.

Secondly, and more importantly, the right side of the case is slightly off. You might be able to tell from the pictures that the power light and charging port aren’t exactly centered. Visually, it’s not a problem, but it’s a sign of further issues. The power button cover, since it’s just a bit offset, will not register if you press the “top” or center of the button. You have to hard press the “bottom” closest to your body for it to work. Also, the right trigger just barely barely catches the case when fully depressed. It might not be enough to make a difference, but you can feel it.

The left side of the case, including the trigger and volume button covers, does not suffer the same problem.

So overall I would recommend this case, just be aware that it’s not quite perfect and could use some very sight adjustments.

Great case, would be perfect with micro adjustments

The biggest downside to deciding to using a case like this is that it adds additional bulk to what is already a somewhat bulky device. I was pleased that this wasn’t overbearing enough, and makes what feels like a very fragile device feel a little more sturdy. My steam deck sits in it all the time now, and it almost makes it a little easier to hold on the side grips. I never liked that the steam deck curved in so much on the sides.

Fits well, all cutouts are properly positioned and feels better in my hands than the Steam Deck does without it. It would be nice if they offered a basic clip on front cover to protect the screens and joysticks.

i’m using the official valve dock and the usb-c connector doesn’t work with the case due to the dock’s angled usb-c cable. this could be adjusted in a future version of the case or you could get a cable extender as a solution. the case itself is high quality. the deck with the case fits in the provided steam deck case. it also sits just fine on the dock with the case on. just the usb-c jack and angled plug is the issue.

Not flimsy, but not hard plastic either. Perfect type of case if you want more protection but still want to use the original case. (This fits perfect in the factory case even with the case on it!) Definetely worth the couple bucks if you don’t want a built in stand!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery protective case – best part it’s not a complete hassle to remove on/off again.

The USB C port allows a little extra space which does allow the JSUAX Steam Deck Dock (HB0603) to attach properly. In addition, the Steamdeck does sit properly in the JSUAX dock and is stable.

That being said, I also use a Dell Performance Dock – WD19DCS for my work laptop and that USB connector does not fit with the case attached. Not too concerned since they are for difference use cases.

Overall, very content with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a high quality case that fits like a glove. It doesn’t work with the Valve’s dock, though, which is more a design issue with the dock’s USB-C connector than with the case. The dock has a down-angled connector, that is designed to fit the Steam Deck like a glove, but doesn’t allow any wiggle room whatsoever. I’m sure this was to protect the Deck and the dock’s connector. I don’t see any case really working with it unless it has a large cutout around the port on the Deck. If that’s something that is important to you, then you may want to consider that.

For me, it will probably sit on the dock when I’m at home and I’ll use the case when I travel.

I love this case. It has a nice grippy feel but isn’t too bulky. It also fits in my JSaux dock.

I used this to go on vacation. Perfect for the plane ride. Has enough room for headphones, charger, and micro sd card. Plus it also makes a stand which was great on the plane.

I was a little wary of ordering due to so few reviews and not a lot of case options available when I purchased this case in July. I received it and it’s very high quality and fit perfectly. The top power button is a little harder to press, but it also prevents it being done accidentally and I have had zero issues with any others. Definitely recommend.

This case fits the steam deck perfectly and provides good protection. Helps me hold the device as well seeing as I have some smaller hands. Definitely helps prevent cramping with extended use. Looks nice too and doesn’t collect dust and grime like some of those more rubber like cases. And most importantly the steamdeck can still fit into the case with this o

The case fits nice and snug. Material is soft plastic. The opening for the USB allows to use magnetic USB adapter.

I’m a stickler for quality. It was a relief to find this cover among the flimsy silicon versions out there. The case has a firm fit and doesn’t bother my palms.

I was skeptical of this case, but decided to give it a shot and I’m glad I did. It fits like a glove and isn’t bulky. Highly recommend it!

There are not many official accessories out for the SteamDeck yet, so I did not know which cover to choose. THIS IS IT. It fits wonderfully. It’s made my SteamDeck so much more playable, and it is even compatible with the case that shipped with the device. I would recommend this fully.

It’s a great case. Just the steam deck feels better without one.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe protective case encloses the Steam Deck’s back and sides. Paired with a quality screen protector, this will be your best bet for Steam Deck handheld protection. It’s easy to apply and remove, you have access to all of the buttons, the vents are clear, nothing is obstructed, and as an added bonus, you can still fit the Steam Deck into the default carrying case with this protective cover still on the device. There are many protective cases available for Steam Deck but none that check all the boxes like this one.

Very nice case. Fits perfectly and feels good to the touch. Only issue is with SD card slot, will need to use a tool to remove card as the case adds more depth.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis thing is way nicer than the pictures would lead you to believe. It is a very thick tpu cover that feels great in the hand. It gives the grips a nice texture and fits the deck like a glove. No issues that I could find with buttons being able to move or anything like that. The picture on amazon looks like it has white accents but the case is all black (almost didn’t buy it because i thought the white accents look dumb). The white in the picture would just be where the tpu is a shiny black instead of a matte black and i think the manufacturer took poor quality photos. The textured areas on the back look sort of like carbon fiber. It is very subtle and stylish in person.

The deck fits well in the carry case that it ships with, also still fits in the 3rd party dock that i bought for it. Bottom line, get this cover, you won’t regret it.

And for those wondering. Yes, this compatible with the Steam carrying case. I’m able to close it and fits good inside.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve tried the silicone grip and another TPU grip, this one is better than both. Nearly a flush fit with the magnetic USB connector I use to protect the port from excess wear too. Very pleased with the produc

fits it perfectly. makes it easier to hit the power and volume buttons. exhaust holes aren’t covered. thick enough but not too bulky to protect it from falls.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersPerfect fit, not flimsy, and best of all, both looks and feels fantastic. This is the only case I could find with all of these qualities, but there is one other issue that I didn’t even consider when I ordered this. Part of the case covers the area around the two triggers, and because of this, you have to apply some force to get the triggers to register, more than you would normally. In SteamOS this isn’t much of an issue since the trigger sensitivity seems to be fairly high, but in desktop mode and Windows where the triggers arent calibrated as such, you will often get no response when holding down the triggers unless you apply force and push the covering plastic down. I use desktop mode a lot so I noticed it right away, and the problem left when I took the case off. Ultimately I just ended up recalibrating the triggers through the Konsole and changing the new “bottom out” zone to fix the issue, but the fact that I had to do that is a demerit to the case in itself. Overall still a great case and is perfect in every other aspect.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt fits wonderfully, all cutouts are very precise. It still fits in Steam Deck case with this on, no issues there. Does not seem to affect heat regulation. The TPU case is smooth and not sticky, does not gather dust. I am very pleased with this case to protect my Steam Deck.
