I had the original quick cut and found it great but this is a much better upgrade. More powerful and better battery makes it easier and quicker to use. Would recommend.

As a very new shaver of the barnet post midlife crisis, I was pleasantly surprised how good this shaver is.
Box opening shaver seems well made and well designed, fancy little bag with loads of attachments in, diddy brush and oil bottle.
I was a bit sceptical about doing my own hair however in my birthday suit stood in bath off I went (note Google cut lengths as a UK No2 isn’t 2mm that would be far too easy! Fortunately I did just to be on the safe side, I’m not quite at full kojak level yet)
Simple to use, clipper is comfy in the hand and the contour of the attachment makes it easy to navigate the head.
All in not the horrific hat required experience I expected, very pleased with the results.
Not tried on the beard, yet or any other body parts.

Certainly better than the standard Quick Cut, but it’s missing the cleaning port so you just have to run the blades under the tap. The slide on/off is a bit clunky but it does turn on swiftly. Too many extra combs! Hope it lasts, I like this style of clipper 🙂

Just got this clipper. I have previously had the T7 and this is far superior. I had done first cut without any coms as I keep my hair as short as possible. I have had Wahl and Philips but this, even after 1 cut is the best for me. The only negative, as some people have pointed out, is no option not to have the combs. Waste for me and increasing landfill, which is quite unnecessary

The blade shape and width reduces trimming time dramatically, what used to be a 10 minutes trimming using a 40mm flat shape trimmer now is around 3-4 minutes thanks to the curved and wide blade shape. The downside though is the relatively long remaining hair you end up with the Remington with no combs attached. It is not the close to zero youll get with the flat blade type of trimmers out there so with the Remington you’ll want a higher frequency of use to maintain a certain very short length. Probably once in a week instead of two weeks.

Charges really fast and can cut your hair without a cable getting in the way.
Easy to use. Perfect for cutting your hair on your own and very easy to use. Best one I’ve had by far, just gave myself a cut that was comfortable to use ending with a smooth all round haircut.

The US model HC4250 has bad battery life and Remington does not offer a battery replacement, though it did last me 8 years. The UK/Australia/New Zealand model HC4300 has a turbo mode for much more power, a good rubber grip casing and is better made. Remington customer service say they won’t be offering the HC4300 in the US market. But you just require a US/UK power adapter which cost $5 for a pair on Amazon. Don’t bother with the US model. Go right for the better one, get the turbo. You won’t regret it. Maybe Remington will get the message.

I bought this to use instead of some traditional cord clippers. It works really well and is so easy to use. It is easier to use than the corded one, no dragging extension leads ect. comes with a variety of combs which would well. So far I’ve gotten 3 full head cuts on one charge.
    Very pleased with i

Having tried numerous beard and hair trimmers and not being totally satisfied with any of them I thought I would give this one a go.
I must say I am impressed, the contour of it makes it so easy to use.
Being battery powered means you can use it virtually anywhere you want, it also fits nicely in the hand.
It’s easy to clean, you can take the head of for a deeper clean.
And there are enough attachments to suit everybody to be honest.
Just wish I had come across it sooner and saved myself a bit of money.

I have cut my head hair and facial hair for years with traditional head shavers. Bought these as an upgrade and im very happy with the product and cuts my hair great and in record time. Never stalls even on the course and thick areas, would reccommend. Hair is very thick, and facial hair is very hard, but blitz it no problem.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve been using a Wahl corded clipper with no guard for many years until I bought this a few weeks ago. Pros are that it is Remington branded and I have been faithful to their Barba beard trimmer for many years. It’s also chunky and substantial feeling in the hand. It feels quality. It’s also very quick to do your entire head.

Cons. This will not get you down to the same length as “zero” i.e. no guard on a Wahl clipper. It’s not far off and on the sides and top it may not be noticeable but at the back of the “horseshoe ” I can feel my stubble is a fraction longer. Also I don’t feel the motor runs fast enough. I don’t see how anyone would use the first power setting. The higher setting deals with my hair, maybe the lower setting is for longer cuts.
Biggest con is the RIDICULOUS number of combs/guards provided. Total landfill. Remington please offer this with and without the accessories.
Overall the fact that it’s cordless and the wide blade/speed is making me use this over my old Wahl. If you’re fussy about the very close buzz you get from a clipper with no guard it may not be for you.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAfter several years of use, my original Quick Cut died, and so I decided to try the ‘pro’ version to see how much better it is.

So, for anyone wondering, the cutting blades and combs are the same as the original quick cut.

The unit is heavier and bulkier than the original, and for me it is slightly more difficult to hold.

Plus, because it is two-speed, it is switched on by a counterintuitive slider, rather than the neatly positioned button from the original.

However, once you find a comfortable hold, it is every bit as good as the original — not sure of the usefulness of the two speeds; my hair is already a number-one, so there aren’t any tough areas to navigate.

I cannot comment on battery life as yet, because I have only used it once.

Overall, unless you have exceptionally big hands, or you travel a lot, I’m not convinced this is a worthy upgrade over the original Quick Cut — time will tell.

But nevertheless, while my review is mixed, I’m leaning more towards positive as I do see the potential of the extra features.

What I would like to see in the future (for all clippers) is a couple of the shortest combs, as these always break, and you cannot buy them individually – and I don’t know of many men who make use of the long combs.

Ive been using my usual hair clippers which took me forever to shave my head but this was a game changer for me. Well designed too

    Reallly happy with my purchase

Was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning, but now I can do a pretty good job cutting my hair in les than 20 minutes. Works great and the variety of combs makes it very useful. I can cut my hair at least three times before charging. Variable speed is ideal if you want to be a bit more careful. Works great and it’s saving my money on going to the barber. Best item yet for cutting your own hair and I have tried a few.

The worst part about the curse of balding for me is the perpetual, sisyphean maintenance. I’ve suffered over a decade of it, having started shaving in my mid 20s, and time has only sharpened the edge of my hatred. Balding itself has never bothered me, but this reluctance to maintain it meant that I eventually started letting it go and relying on wearing a hat to cover up my laziness.

I’ve tried a bunch of clippers of most brands to try to mitigate the effort and while some of them worked well enough, they still all had some kind of flaw which meant I reluctantly returned to a razor. I stumbled on a recommendation for this clipper so I thought I’d give it a go and I was so impressed. I’m not easy to please, but this really does a decent job while making the experience as painless as it can be. The battery lasts well, I tend to charge it inbetween every cut but I have used it for multiple and there’s been no sign of it struggling. I find it very easy to hold (though I would like if it was just ‘slightly’ narrower), and it does a decent cut.

It’s still not going to look anywhere near fully shaved like if you use a razor, but for clippers it does a good job. It’s the perfect product for the man who has given up on perfection (Remington feel free to use this as a slogan) and if like me you utterly hate shaving your head conventionally and want a ‘good enough’ shortcut, I couldn’t recommend this more.

I previously owned the older version of these clippers and had used them extensively for over five years. But the internal battery finally died and unfortunately it’s not user replaceable.
So I bought this one as a replacement and it hasn’t disappointed. Cuts well, even more length guides and has two speeds. If it lasts for five years I’ll be happy as a haircut in my area usually costs around 18.

Had used some traditional clippers without a guard for last few years. Always seemed to take longer than it should! These are a game-changer though. Way quicker and a touch closer without a guard. Also feel good in the hand when doing back/top of head. Very impressed!

Find it really good for close trimming my beard, and makes cutting my own hair simple.

Having used various clippers over the years for haircut, this one is by far the quickest. Buzz cut 3mins job done. No hassle! I love it. Let’s hope the battery lasts for a while. Well made machine.

I wish I had thought of it earlier! I’ve had my hair really short for almost a year now but, out of habit I guess, I kept paying for a hairdresser every 5-6 weeks… It’s been a real nuisance and so I thought “why not do it myself”? I’m so glad I did!

I have been trimming my own hair for a few years and when my last trimmer gave up its battery ghost I decided to try a different brand. All in all I am very happy with the result though twin blades would be better. However, it is efficient and easy to keep clean and as such I am happy to recommend iy.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI’m the sort of person who’s not too interested in styling my hair. I just want to keep it short enough that it doesn’t look unruly (e.g. about 9mm).

Unfortunately, I am also horrendously lazy when it comes to getting my hair cut, often pushing it back several months longer than I should.

With that in mind, I thought it about time to look at what was on the market. The last time I’d checked (5-6 years ago), the rotary-style cutters or a traditional shaver were the main approach to cutting your own hair.

When I saw this on offer, I figured it’d be worth a try. The worst that could happen is that I mess it up and end up having to get my hair cut by another person.

Fortunately, this is extremely easy to use on yourself. The design makes it very easy to hold, the battery life is very good, and the wide selection of length attachments means that if your hair is very long, you can comfortably work down the different sizes until you reach one you like without risking it ripping entire chunks of hair out.

Using it on wet hair, or rinsing it out under a tap is fine to do.

I strongly advise getting a small brush to clean it out and some razer blade oil to help maintain the blades. An allen / hex key (2.0 size) will also allow you to separate the blade from the housing to make it easier to clean inside.
