About Us
“What do you think about going into die casting?”
It was September 1943 when this proposition was brought to Ryobi founder Yutaka Urakami.
The proposal came from the manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s Fukuyama Works in Hiroshima . Yutaka, then operating a small trading company, was no technician and, with no knowledge of die casting, had to ask “What’s die casting?” The manager explained and Yutaka immediately set to work reading about the process, learning about it from scratch.
After this momentous conversation and careful consideration, his reply to the manager was decisive: “I’ll do it.” This decision came just one week after Yutaka heard the term “die casting” for the very first time.

I bought these because they were a great deal at the time, so buying a Ryobi bare polisher and this made sense.
Battery first – obviously a top quality item, it lasts just short of two hours in the polisher, which is about the time I’ve had enough physically. The battery in Ryobi tools senses when it has reached the optimum discharge level and from that state to fully charged is about three and a half hours. No surprise there – a 4 amp battery and 1.5 amp intelligent charger.
The only question now is whether I buy a second battery or a faster charger. Not really – a second battery makes more sense to me.
Been after one for a while (battery and charger). Snapped it up when it was on offer and as a bonus the battery has a charge indicator so you can see the charge left when using.
One star off because the battery is bulky
Very pleased with my purchase and all fitted and working well, time will tell as to how long it will last, thank you.
Not cheap, but so useful!
First time using an interchangeable battery system for the one+ system.
Reliable, giving around 45 to 50 minutes full-power run time, needing 2+ hours to re-charge. Runs fully, then stops when done, rather than showing signs of slowing. Clever button shows how much charge is left. Bought a non-branded item as a spare for a third of the cost which holds less charge, using the Ryobi charger on it which works fine.
Click in, click out. Just so easy.
Brilliant battery and great charger, it’s ryobi and it’s built to last, I highly recommend this product.
I purchased this battery to compare the battery life with the cheaper brands. The charger is rubbish but the battery works very well..
Once charged I was more concerned if the battery was ever going to run out of charge, admittedly I don’t use it everyday but other make battery tools I have the batteries die without use, this one doesn’t, F A B product and complete V F M.
3 Chargers ive seen on new tube even theres Faster Chargers this is the Safes
I like a lot but I think it needs more powe
Works well, haven’t run out of power yet after 1 hours strimming, so pleased so fa
Found this on here cheaper than the main website for these tools
decided to purchase needed for a hedge trimmer turned up next day put on charge and the hedge was cut next morning (not through waiting for the battery to charge i hasten to add)
It lasted right through cutting the hedge approx 25 meters long 2 meteres high with enough power left over to be used on a blower as well
Finally the original batter gave up after 6 years so replaced with this. It came with the charger which was a 1Ah charger with 4Ah lithium battery. The supplied charger is not a quick charger so depending on the current level may take a while to charge the battery.
