These were a gift for my birthday- I LOVE them! The noise cancelling is an option, so if you want to be able to hear your teenage children asking you various questions you can select ambient noise option (rarely used!). Seriously though, noise cancellation option is excellent. Appearance is wide on the head but they are very comfortable. A favourite when cleaning or using the noisy iron!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe XB910N headphones have a sleek and stylish appearance, with a sturdy construction that feels durable. The padding on the ear cups and headband is plush and comfortable, allowing for long listening sessions without discomfort. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit for different head sizes.

The sound quality of the XB910N is excellent. The headphones deliver a powerful bass response that is well-suited for those who enjoy bass-heavy music genres. The midrange and treble are also clear and detailed, providing an immersive audio experience. The sound signature leans towards a warm and fun sound, which many users will appreciate. However, purists seeking a more neutral sound may find the bass slightly overpowering.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy son is Autistic & gets sensory overload so at a touch of his hand to the earphone side all noise dampens to a low level with the noice cancelling feature. He’s been so much happier with these. Also battery life is so good.He tells me they are comfy & he loves to listen to music through them

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese are awesome, and I didn’t have to charge them for a month, but that’s just me listening for a couple hours each night, overall though the battery is really good.
they could possibly be better in the high tweet range but some equalising can sort that out
and the noise cancelling is really good at the lower end of the spectrum, but I can still hear some higher frequencies through it.
    overall though highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWell had a hard core free days of traveling long haul horrible flight times, horrible seats, horrible neighboursthis time I thought I’d get some ear muffs, they do the job.. noise cancelling on the plan is pretty cool, it actually works between the blinders, blow up pillow, and these head phones, aside from being uncomfortable for 14 hours, I might have been on the moon.. now sound quality, well it’s a fairly expensive Sony, I’m sure people can pick out details I used to be an audiophile now I don’t care, it’s high quality, comfortable, and most of all it removes the sounds of an airplane cabin pretty well!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value good sound

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs others say the bass is very extreme and does simulate the festival feeling. If you love heavy bass you’ll love these. The ANC isn’t as good as the very high end Sony headphones but it’s still good enough to drown out screaming kids or barking dogs if you WFH like me!

    Battery lasts absolutely days

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThese are really clear if you do the sound adjustments I would recommend going on the app and go on custom 1 then go to the cog wheel and leave bass on 0 and turn up all the equalisers to full that way the sound comes through with the low mids and high but make sure the bass settings are on 0 that way you are hearing the sound clarity and bass the way it sounds

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought for my sibling’s birthday and they love them.
The sound quality is excellent and it’s got a handy car for travelling. My sibling loves it so much, our other sibling had started hinting they want the same for their birthday.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI’ve been using these headphones for a few months now in replacement for my AirPod pros, and I can easily say these are far better quality, amazing bass and definitely a better battery life from one charge. The sound quality is amazing, crisp and clear and also easy to adjust using the app. The bass is also fantastic, adjustable and VERY intense which I love. I’ve tried them against the Sony XM4 ones as well and I prefer this pair in terms of bass and comfort too. The noice cancellation is great but I think most earbuds will always do a little better due to the suction, but still great when audio is playing. Overall the best headphones I’ve ever invested in, I really recommend these if anyone likes heavier bass like myself

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersPurchased Dec 2022 and have used for just over a month now listening to music, documentaries, films etc. I’m not an audiophile just an average day to day listener. First thing I noticed they are very light and comfortable which is a massive positive.. The sound did take a bit of time to get used to as like the name suggests they have A LOT of bass. I played around with some sound settings on my phone and also found an equalizer through google chrome extensions on my laptop that will do the job for what I will require them for. First video I watched was an information video on YT where someone was speaking and there was an unnecessary amount of bass but like said can adjust the settings to fix. When listening to music they do produce a nice clear sound just with a lot of bass. For some songs I’ve picked up on different layers and perspectives that I hadn’t noticed previously which is pretty cool. Battery life is brilliant, noise cancellation is great, ambient sound is very handy and works really well. Just to test them with my Xbox, I used the aux to plug into my Xbox controller and the NC and general sound was pretty decent. I couldn’t get the mic to work for some reason so maybe not compatible? I’d probably look at purpose built gaming headphones if looking for that reason. In conclusion very good headphones for the price I purchased them at which was with the help of a 35% discount code I received from Amazon via email.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality build and sound. Heavy bass as expected but can be worked with

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersVery comfortable headphones with brilliant battery life. I wore them for almost 7 hours yesterday and the charge hardly went down at all. Noise cancelling is good and will dull or completely eliminate background noise. The sound quality isn’t stand out but good enough and can be improved considerably with settings in the app.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBattery lasts about 3/4 days of full use, noice cancelling is great so that I can listen to audiobooks walking alongside a busy motorway or on the train, or can focus in a busy office. Sound quality is wonderful, it was a pleasure to listen to all my favourite songs again at the best quality I have experienced. I’m sure there are even better makes out there but I think the price of these is great for the quality you get and I personally don’t feel I need anything more than these.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI’m really happy with these headphones. I wanted headphones that are both wireless and can be connected via cable and Sony’s headphones do just that.

    What I like:
    – Excellent battery life
    – Great sound quality
    – Good noise cancelling
    – Easy Bluetooth pairing
    – Handy case to store the headphones
    – Reasonably priced

    What could be better:
    – The charging cable is too short
    – While the headphones are quite good when it comes to blocking the incoming noise, the person sitting next to you can hear sounds coming from your headphones as blocking the sounds coming out is a bit questionable

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m quite impressed with this headphones. Firstly, they produce good low frequencies with gentle push, secondly, the features around noise cancelling (I might be biased, as this is my first noise cancelling set) do their work well, I like the ambient sound that you can temporarily turn on by touching the right surface to hear what’s going on around. Was also surprised by ease of simultaneous connection to two sources which I use to share the same set for my phone and laptop.

The ambient and noise cancelling feature isn’t that good. Plus the noise cancelling feature is built into the sponge cups by using the right kind of synthetic material as for the rest, I love them.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo far impressed with these headphones. A very comfortable fit, excellent sound quality and bass, with two NC option allowing you to opt for noise cancellation or ambient. However, I do have two complaints:

    1. Even if you have the headset connected via the jack plug to your device, you still need to turn on the headphones to gain noise cancellation and bass. This is a small problem but if you have a backup pair of wired headphones then it’s fine.

    2. The product comes with a 0.5 charging cable, the smallest I’ve ever seen. I’m sick of seeing companies supplying consumers with such tiny charging cables and it’s a good thing I have a 2m type-C cable to use when charging the headset.

Overall, despite a couple of drawbacks, this headset is definitely worth the money not just because of the product quality and impressive sound, but also due to its flexibility in connecting the device up via wired or wireless means.

Golden Review Award: 64 From Our UsersAfter reading and watching so many reviews about these headphones and the WX-MA3/4 series, I decided to purchase the WH-XB910. Not much of an audiophile (whatever that is), but for the average person who has used headphones, earbuds etc…here is my review for what it’s worth.

These headphones provide amazing noise cancellation. You can adjust the level of ambience. This is good if you are walking outside and want to still hear some traffic. To give you an idea of how great the noise cancelling is- I used my Henry Hoover and could not hear a thing! So much so, I had to lift the ear cups off slightly to check my hoover was working! They are very comfortable.

Many reviews have stated how cheap these feel. I cannot disagree more. Either I am easily pleased or I need to compare with premium models; but for me these feel so nice to hold and are very lightweight. There is a solid carrier case which also houses the 3.5mm cable and USB C cable to charge.

Fit: These would fit most people comfortably. My partner who has slightly larger stick out type ears- even those type ears are covered properly. You can also adjust the headset making it loose or tight. Some reviewers have said these can fall off. I assure you, these will not fall off whilst working out or running. They are so comfy, you forget you are wearing them! I have had no heat or sweat issues. There is also a nice soft cushiony feel at the top of the headphones.

Sound: I tested the same song and adjusted the base settings differently each time. Everyone will have their own preference. Remember, these are the Extra Bass versions, so the extra base settings will suit those who love…well extra base. The sound is clear and crisp. You can swipe up and down on right ear cup for volume or left to right to switch tracks. If you hold your hand over it, the volume will be lowered to allow conversation.

Battery- lasts up to 30 hours with noise cancelling on and about 50hours with noise cancelling off. This is pretty accurate. However, the battery life will vary if you keep switching between those options after charging.

Worth it? If you want all the high end specs, the MA4 is the model you want. If, however, like me- you need good sound for youtube videos, Netflix etc on laptop or phone and you also use headphones in the gym, these are definitely worth it. At 140-150, you are getting a bargain for a top quality product released in October 2021. There is a Sony App to download to ensure your headphones are updated and to set up listening preferences.

Cons? The only gripe I have is that the headband is kinda wide just before the right and left ear cups- you can slip two fingers through the gap almost. I would suggest watching a youtube video of this model and MA4 to know what I mean. For this reason I was contemplating the MA4, but wasn’t going to pay 100 more just because of the look.
