These were a gift for my birthday- I LOVE them! The noise cancelling is an option, so if you want to be able to hear your teenage children asking you various questions you can select ambient noise option (rarely used!). Seriously though, noise cancellation option is excellent. Appearance is wide on the head but they are very comfortable. A favourite when cleaning or using the noisy iron!
The sound quality of the XB910N is excellent. The headphones deliver a powerful bass response that is well-suited for those who enjoy bass-heavy music genres. The midrange and treble are also clear and detailed, providing an immersive audio experience. The sound signature leans towards a warm and fun sound, which many users will appreciate. However, purists seeking a more neutral sound may find the bass slightly overpowering.
they could possibly be better in the high tweet range but some equalising can sort that out
and the noise cancelling is really good at the lower end of the spectrum, but I can still hear some higher frequencies through it.
overall though highly recommended
Battery lasts absolutely days
The sound quality is excellent and it’s got a handy car for travelling. My sibling loves it so much, our other sibling had started hinting they want the same for their birthday.
What I like:
– Excellent battery life
– Great sound quality
– Good noise cancelling
– Easy Bluetooth pairing
– Handy case to store the headphones
– Reasonably priced
What could be better:
– The charging cable is too short
– While the headphones are quite good when it comes to blocking the incoming noise, the person sitting next to you can hear sounds coming from your headphones as blocking the sounds coming out is a bit questionable
The ambient and noise cancelling feature isn’t that good. Plus the noise cancelling feature is built into the sponge cups by using the right kind of synthetic material as for the rest, I love them.
1. Even if you have the headset connected via the jack plug to your device, you still need to turn on the headphones to gain noise cancellation and bass. This is a small problem but if you have a backup pair of wired headphones then it’s fine.
2. The product comes with a 0.5 charging cable, the smallest I’ve ever seen. I’m sick of seeing companies supplying consumers with such tiny charging cables and it’s a good thing I have a 2m type-C cable to use when charging the headset.
Overall, despite a couple of drawbacks, this headset is definitely worth the money not just because of the product quality and impressive sound, but also due to its flexibility in connecting the device up via wired or wireless means.
These headphones provide amazing noise cancellation. You can adjust the level of ambience. This is good if you are walking outside and want to still hear some traffic. To give you an idea of how great the noise cancelling is- I used my Henry Hoover and could not hear a thing! So much so, I had to lift the ear cups off slightly to check my hoover was working! They are very comfortable.
Many reviews have stated how cheap these feel. I cannot disagree more. Either I am easily pleased or I need to compare with premium models; but for me these feel so nice to hold and are very lightweight. There is a solid carrier case which also houses the 3.5mm cable and USB C cable to charge.
Fit: These would fit most people comfortably. My partner who has slightly larger stick out type ears- even those type ears are covered properly. You can also adjust the headset making it loose or tight. Some reviewers have said these can fall off. I assure you, these will not fall off whilst working out or running. They are so comfy, you forget you are wearing them! I have had no heat or sweat issues. There is also a nice soft cushiony feel at the top of the headphones.
Sound: I tested the same song and adjusted the base settings differently each time. Everyone will have their own preference. Remember, these are the Extra Bass versions, so the extra base settings will suit those who love…well extra base. The sound is clear and crisp. You can swipe up and down on right ear cup for volume or left to right to switch tracks. If you hold your hand over it, the volume will be lowered to allow conversation.
Battery- lasts up to 30 hours with noise cancelling on and about 50hours with noise cancelling off. This is pretty accurate. However, the battery life will vary if you keep switching between those options after charging.
Worth it? If you want all the high end specs, the MA4 is the model you want. If, however, like me- you need good sound for youtube videos, Netflix etc on laptop or phone and you also use headphones in the gym, these are definitely worth it. At 140-150, you are getting a bargain for a top quality product released in October 2021. There is a Sony App to download to ensure your headphones are updated and to set up listening preferences.
Cons? The only gripe I have is that the headband is kinda wide just before the right and left ear cups- you can slip two fingers through the gap almost. I would suggest watching a youtube video of this model and MA4 to know what I mean. For this reason I was contemplating the MA4, but wasn’t going to pay 100 more just because of the look.
