You won’t find a better TV for the price I have to admit, it’s actually a decent tv, good for gaming on console or pc no lag at all from that side, ok it has a little freeze now and then but I only ever see it when the TV is cold so I’m not sure what that could be but for the price you can’t go wrong..

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI ordered the 43 inch, and it’s safe to say I haven’t bought a TV like this for this price in ages. What more do you want for the price?

Out of the box, it’s ready to go apart from fitting the legs on and setting it up. Easy to get through the stages of setting the TV up, go through the prompts, tap yes, tap no, tap continue and job done.

Screen and visually wise, it’s great. Clear picture, and good colours. It’s not going to compete with other flagship brands but then again that’s not what I wanted anyway. I’ve had expensive TV’s by larger well known brands there were utter rubbish.

All in all, I haven’t had any issues so far, and it’s doing the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, No frills or is there?

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Users65 inch for 429.- Gbp. Brilliant tv, plenty of bang for the buck. The panel is crisp, bright & clear. To avoid frozen pictures & a laggy remote and response to your input do yourself a favour and hook up a 4k fire max stick to one of your hdmi ports. That’s an instant fix, paid 37.- Gbp, you get alexa and a fast and responsive system.

TLC might not be a top notch brand … But it is excellent in graphic and it’s so easy to set up… If you can’t afford to buy a brand one I’d get this one…it’s perfec

    Good for price. But, slow.

Sometimes, takes ages to switch on.

    Remote, very slow.

Picture and sound quality good when it gets going.

    Safe option, with young children.

The sound and picture quality is amazing for such a cheap TV. The OS is a bit annoying sometimes not doing exactly what I tell it but that’s rare. For the price, you can really complain at all.

This TV came with no faults, no mix ups and was packaged well. Very smart design, great image and perfect size. No fuss! Only thing they could improve is to put more app buttons on the remote, this one only has the netflix button.

This TV for the money is very good, almost as good as my 65″ Samsung that cost 3x the ammount. Definitely good as a bedroom screen. Takes a while to set the picture up to a decent setting but it’s worth taking the time.

Don’t break your remote! To be honest that’s the only thing I can think of, as the app for replacing the said tv remote. Was good at first but fails later on. For the price your kinda laughing really. ENJOY!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOverall, it is pretty much what I expected. Good display, colour and brightness. Sound is also very satisfying. There doesn’t seem to be an audio-only option for when I want just music though and the remote doesn’t seem to support voice recognition. Besides these two things, I’m very happy with this buy. Definitely recommend.

It’s basically a good second TV for the house.
The remote control is just not up to my liking (thin & narrow) !
Also, not sure how to activate Google Assistant!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe thing that makes this smart TV better than most other smart TVs is purely Android TV.

Android TV has far better app support and 3rd party intergration. You can cast from Windows computers and android phones without any addtional hardware. The quality of the TV is great for the price, it’s really something you can’t complain about.

The only negative (which is a big one for me) is they cheaped out on network connectivity.
    Wifi – Doesn’t support 5G, only 2G.
Ethernet (LAN) – Only 100Mb link speed, not 1G.

This to me is a huge blow to what is a great TV. I had always planned to use ethernet with my TV and use steam link with it. However the 100Mb link reduces the performance. I did find that you could plug in a USB ethernet adapter, power cycle the TV and it’ll pick that up and use it. But quite often (for me) it would crash the TV when doing speeds faster than 150Mb/s.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThe TV itself is brilliant. The picture is crisp and clear and a huge improvement on our previous TV. The android OS is great and saves having a separate box for home theatre or gaming apps.

The speakers appear to be facing down in the front of the TV and this is probably fine for most applications, but our TV is sitting on stone and the audio was awful because of this. We ended up buying a soundbar, which was a great investment in the end. You may not have this issue but it was a big problem for us.

The remote control is garbage. It only works when it feels like it. I would recommend getting a usb air mouse remote and using that instead.

The standby feature is also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you switch the tv off and it goes into standby, and when you come to turn it on again it won’t respond. The only fix for this seems to be to turn it off at the wall and then on again. Annoying. I’ve searched the internet for a fix but come up empty. In today’s increasingly (and rightly) energy conscious world, it is apparently not possible to just leave the TV on standby, and at some point it just turns itself off. Why it can’t be turned on again, I don’t know, but it is what it is.

Overall, the TV is great while it’s up and running, and I’d recommend it despite its flaws, mainly because of the android TV implementation and the amazing picture quality.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis tv is great value for money, picture is great and has great functionality however there is a few drawbacks that you should be aware of. The quality is great and what you would expect for a cheap 4k television however it has issues with its brightness it’s not terrible especially if it’s in a dark room or a bedroom but rooms with lots of light you may struggle with this tv. The screen settings are also all over the place reds are way to bright and almost look pink and is very apparent in tv shows where there is a woman with lipstick an easy fix for this however is turning the dynamic colour off and changing the warm slider all the way to full. Game mode is brilliant however and you can definitely feel the low input lag on the television when playing games. The speakers as expected are terrible and suffer from severe lack of bass a sound bar is a necessity of owning this tv just like any flat screen tv of today. build quality of this tv is not the greatest but does the job the back panel is metal and the surrounding case round the screen is plastic. The interface is brilliant however android tv is fantastic as there is so many different apps almost an infinite amount including games ! Brilliant television especially for the price and would be great in any home. Don’t let negative reviews stray u away from this wee beaut if you can get on sale or for a good price go for it ! just make sure to fiddle with the settings !!

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersLong story short we have an autistic son who has a bad habit of breaking the telly no matter where we put it or protect it we last had the Expendables and Avenger’s and even that big no. So anyways both of us decided no point getting another posh does everything telly so saw this couldn’t even be bothered reading the amount of k’s or nothing just a telly. Anyhoo it arrives next day and in the box it weighs less than a bag of spud’s and out the box weighs less than the empty bag of spud’s thought this is going to be bad so put legs on and hoped for the worst but it came on and it’s got Android massive good start and set up everything. The picture is fine the panel is bright and no blur. But This has got everything you need if you have a mobile you can work this and I admit the remote is rubbish but download a Bluetooth remote it’s a couple of quid and you can get free one’s and now it’s all controlled through your phone and if you had a Chromecast you can pair that remote to the telly. After a long thought we decided that it’s too nice to be in the living room. Sometimes things really shock you nowadays especially you can buy good names and be really disappointed. I immediately thought that the weight would be an issue why though? I had a telly 60 inch 3D weighed 50 odd kgs so heavy it wouldn’t go on the wall that was the biggest pile of poop screen burnt which is apparently my fault? Two years old and in the tip and I bet my fillings that I am not alone. So being light is a good thing especially if you’re on your own fitting it to a wall and you know it’s gonna hold. The Android wins every time they haven’t attempted to make a smart menu where everything is a chore Philips LG had em they’re more dumb than smart and poor attempts at apps that crash but like you phone it’s the latest version always updated and not being an Apple owner I don’t know about the Bluetooth remote app but I think there’s going to be something similar. I think it is a good bit of kit and that is my opinion yours can be a completely different but you have 30 days to figure it out either way. But I’m keeping my one

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have been using a philips 40″ TV as a monitor on my PC and it works well. I bought this 43″ UHD TV to use at the office in a similar manner. I do not normally go for unbranded vendors but TCL seems to have built up a following so I tried it out as I had the amazon return capability.

Compared to the Philips which was 120 more three years ago.
Case is a light plastic but does not feel weak or bendy. Little bit shiny plastic in finish.
Easy to assemble with the little feet screwing in
Connectors and power easy to setup
Android menu quite good for WiFi and general setup (I am PC only so no DTV test)
Picture quality is not as good as the Philips at all I am afraid. The brightness is thin and the range quite dull compared to the 40″.
It does have a narrower viewing angle so I have had to move it back on my desk to the very edge (at which point the feet design fall off…….)

It is about 70% of the quality of the Philips. I am not bothered enough to return it but I would not recommend it for use with a computer as a primary monitor. I have a couple of AOC 28″ real monitors next to it (VA panel) and they look sharper, more rich colours and more stable.

I have played with the various settings and cannot seem to improve it much. Next time I will spend the extra I am afraid.
