The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for Xbox Series X is an absolute masterpiece that has left an indelible mark on my gaming experience. As an avid fan of fantasy RPGs, I was captivated by the intricately crafted world, deep storytelling, and unparalleled gameplay this title had to offer. The game’s seamless blend of morally ambiguous choices, intense combat, and an expansive open world sets it apart as a pinnacle of the genre. Without a doubt, this extraordinary gaming journey deserves a resounding 5-star rating.

From the very beginning, I was enthralled by the role of Geralt of Rivia, the highly skilled and enigmatic monster hunter. Trained from childhood and mutated to possess superhuman abilities, Geralt stands as a counterbalance to the perilous world filled with monsters. Armed with a variety of upgradable weapons, mutating potions, and combat magic, I felt the weight of my responsibilities as I set forth on a dangerous quest.

The game’s core mechanic revolves around hunting down a diverse array of exotic monsters, from ferocious beasts roaming mountain passes to cunning supernatural predators lurking in the shadows of bustling cities. Each encounter was a thrilling and challenging experience, pushing me to utilize every skill and tactic at my disposal. The satisfaction of successfully defeating formidable foes was unparalleled, and the rewards I earned added to the sense of accomplishment.

Beyond the exhilarating monster hunts, the morally ambiguous fantasy open world of The Witcher 3 elevated the game to a whole new level of immersion. The vastness and complexity of the world surpassed any game I had experienced before, and it allowed me to shape Geralt’s destiny in ways that went beyond simple notions of good and evil. The choices I made during my journey had far-reaching consequences that impacted the lives of various characters and factions, creating an engrossing narrative that was uniquely my own.

Traversing the beautifully crafted open world was a breathtaking experience in itself. The Continent came to life with its forgotten ruins, treacherous caves, and captivating landscapes. From bustling cities with their vibrant markets to the desolate wilderness, every corner held secrets waiting to be discovered. Trading with merchants, forging alliances, and unearthing hidden treasures enriched the immersive gameplay, making me feel like a true denizen of this richly detailed world.

The central quest to track down the Child of Prophecy, Ciri, provided a compelling backbone to the narrative. As Geralt’s search intensified during times of war and peril, I encountered formidable rulers, mystical spirits, and otherworldly threats, each presenting its own unique challenges. The intriguing storyline unfolded with cinematic brilliance, pulling me deeper into the captivating lore of the Witcher universe.

The Complete Edition’s inclusion of both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions expanded the game into a staggering adventure that spanned well over 100 hours. These expansions seamlessly wove new quests, memorable characters, and intriguing stories into the fabric of the main game, providing hours of additional gameplay that kept me thoroughly engrossed.

The Xbox Series X|S enhancements further elevated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to new heights. The vastly improved level of detail, faster loading times, real-time ray tracing, and the addition of a built-in Photo Mode allowed me to experience the dark fantasy world of the Continent like never before. I found myself frequently pausing to capture breathtaking vistas, intense battles, and moments of quiet contemplation, forever preserving these cherished memories.

The sheer scope and attention to detail that CD Projekt Red poured into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is nothing short of remarkable. The world they have created is brimming with life, from the bustling cities like Novigrad and Oxenfurt to the hauntingly beautiful Skellige Isles. Each location feels distinct, with its own set of characters, culture, and unique challenges for Geralt to navigate.

The characters themselves are exceptionally well-developed, with rich backstories and intricate motivations that add depth and complexity to the narrative. Geralt’s journey is not one of a typical hero, but rather a man navigating through the morally gray waters of a war-torn world. As I made choices throughout the game, I found myself torn between competing interests, never quite sure if I was making the right decision.

The game’s combat mechanics are equally impressive, striking a balance between accessibility and depth. Whether I was engaging in intense sword fights, wielding a crossbow, or utilizing the potent Signs magic, every encounter felt satisfyingly challenging. The ability to concoct potions and bombs, each with its strategic purpose, added an extra layer of tactical depth to my monster-slaying endeavors.

In addition to the main storyline and expansions, the game is replete with engaging side quests that are far from filler content. Each quest has its own narrative arc and often introduces memorable characters and unique challenges. These side stories are so well-crafted that they feel just as essential to the overall experience as the main plot itself.

Furthermore, the dedication of the development team to post-launch support is commendable. The continuous addition of free DLCs, enhancements, and community-driven mods has kept the game fresh and vibrant long after its initial release. This ongoing support speaks volumes about CD Projekt Red’s commitment to their players and their passion for creating an enduring gaming experience.

In conclusion, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is a magnum opus of the RPG genre, showcasing the pinnacle of storytelling, character development, and gameplay. The meticulously crafted world, morally ambiguous choices, and immersive gameplay kept me enthralled for countless hours, leaving me with unforgettable memories and a longing to revisit the Continent. The Xbox Series X|S enhancements have breathed new life into this timeless masterpiece, making it an even more compelling experience for both seasoned fans and newcomers alike. This game stands as a testament to the power of video game storytelling, and I wholeheartedly award it a well-deserved 5 stars.

Not the biggest fan of CDPR since Cyberpunk, but was also curious to see why there was so much hype for their games in the first place, and have to say I have been blown away by this, it’s a work of art and anyone interested in character driven narrative and immersive open worlds should play this. Also from a games preservation perspective the complete edition is ready to go out the box with all DLC and updates on the disk which is nice in an era of unplayable launch titles without day one patches.

This is by far one of the best games I have ever played to the point I have purchased it on the ps5 even though I have it on the pc and played if multiple time. But I am here to talk about the ps5 version so let’s start the graphics are just breath taking and so subversive along with the great story writing you are dragged in to game and its environment. The story itself is gripping along with other witcher contracts you can pick up along the way. This version includes the 2 expansion packs and the armor from the Netflix series again the expansion packs are gripping and equally as beautiful. It really will be hard to pull yourself away from this maser piece once you get started.

Witcher 3 wild hunt + hearts of stone + blood and wine -> 15/10

I honestly never give reviews for videogames but if i want to do service to this game, it would be in providing an honest review.

First time i purchased this was the disc version with a Thank-you card from the makers CD projekt red along with a map to visualize the areas and provided 16 free dlcs with the main game. No game provided so much service from the very start except this one. I purchased it again (digital-edition) to support the developers and now they gave the next-gen update on ps5 for free which is unbelievable!

Story is excellent from start to finish. Bloody Baron quest is a masterpiece. The endless choices and the consequences each would lead to makes you realize you have to make careful decisions + the best range of dialogues.

Great diversity of characters and cities are lively and vibrant. I remember being awestruck whilst entering oxenfurt for the very first time and that was not even the best city in the game.

Soundtrack is gorgeous and that made each area of the game more magical to experience; be it caves, mountains, cities, outskirts, crime investigations. Skellige 1st time visit was nothing short of incredible!

Gameplay is fantastic! Combat is fun. Even you can do parkour on some buildings. With the unlimited sprint and other features on the ps5 version, it made the game more exciting to explore. Gwent is an excellent mini-game and honestly addicting when building a collection. Horse races, fight scenes and what not, but its almost endless!

Mind you, this is just the main game.

    Hearts of stone dlc:
Greatest dlc story ever. Gaunter O Dimm (GOD) is perhaps the most intimidating and scariest antagonist ever in a videogame. Olgeird and his backstory was awesome! Boss fights were challenging!

    Blood and wine dlc:
New map, places, characters, fantasies, stories made this a joy to play! Mutations, grandmaster gear, new enemies were great additions! Gwent with skellige deck and new soundtrack made it more interesting than it actually was before!

I believe this is a once in a lifetime experience and this game will stand the test of time even with further advanced games in the future!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve played this three times now. And as a die hard skyrim fan, this is, in my opinion, the best action rpg out there.

The story is second to none. With choices to make, that will impact the story, further down the road. Loads to do. And beautiful dlc. This is at least a 300+ hour game. And you don’t feel like it’s grinding. You literally lose hours, due to the story and quests pulling you in.

Now it has a next gen update. There’s never been a better time to play this gem.

    An absolute masterpiece.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis remaster is absolutely excellent, and it’s definitely the best way to play.

The graphics are really beautiful considering how old it is, it looks prettier than Elden ring for the most part in my opinion.

The gameplay feels much more responsive than when it released last gen, and the combat feels more fluid. Movement can occasionally feel a little bit clunky when trying to turn your horse on the spot, and climbing and jumping can be a little bit temperamental at times (but it’s still absolutely fine)

I’ve had an absolute blast replaying the Witcher 3, I enjoyed it way more than my original play through on PS4.

The game is huge, and there is literally hundreds of hours of content. It has an amazing story with a plethora of characters, side quests and treasure hunts.

If you played the Witcher 3 last gen, you’ll still enjoy it more this time around, if you didn’t play it last gen then buy it now, it really is an amazing game. Arguably the best rpg ever made, it’s right up there with breath of the wild and Elden ring.
