Used on two separate 3070s to fix overheating GPU/hotspots.
Don’t underestimate how stiff this dense paste is, be patient applying it.
Excellent thermal properties, HIGHLY recommend on hot GPUs.
might work well on CPUs too?
Same benchmarks at the same fan speed on a Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080, before and after the re-paste of the GPU. I didn’t replace any thermal pads either.
The hotspot temp issues are solved, the temps are looking good in general, and because of the lower temps I’m able to hit the higher boost frequencies that I wasn’t hitting before, and those that I was hitting are pushing much longer.
This paste is VERY hard to work with, its like trying to spread blu-tack or clay, and I would recommend heating the tube up in a cup of hot water first (put it in a bag so it stays dry) for around 5 minutes or more before usage to make it easier to spread.
If anything changes over the coming weeks in terms of it curing and changing temps dramatically I’ll update the review as I do imagine there will be some slight shift over time.
(yes I should have done a screenshot, not sure why I took a photo of the screen, I apologise to your eyes)
New waterblock installed using this thermal paste.
Quality product, a bit dense so spreading is not super easy, however you can preheat it in warm water bath ir try to spread it with a spatula (my case).
TIM is a little more thick than some other mainstream ones, not as easy to spread. Thermal results are very good though. Spreads just fine when warmed up a bit. I use my digital oven, can set it to 50C, but I am sure warm water works well, too. (Avoid getting water mixed with the TIM..).
So far application was pretty much the same as other thermal pastes, It might be a little harder to spread but for me the single dot method worked great. Hopefully since this thermal paste is thicker it should combat the pump out issues other brands have. Before I had to almost apply paste per month due to it not keeping great contact with the CPU after a small amount of time.
i7-7700HQ at idle sits at a comfortable 45c
Moderate gaming it goes to a respectable 70c
Will update review later down the line.
Excellent replacement paste for the Steam Deck, no pump out problems and saw a decnt drop in thermals. Recommended!
A little difficult to spread depending how warm it is but very effective once on, using it to cool a 5800x3d chip.
I use this for my hot end on my 3d printer for the thermistor and heater cartridge
