So I was in need of a modern Wi-fi card since we just got a new fibre internet.
Router is downstairs, PC upstairs. I was getting 5mbps download speed with the old card.
Now with this bad boy I get 30mbps!
Also the Bluetooth is just what I needed, I used a USB dongle that was 4. something and my airpod pros had literally seconds of latency and bad audio (with the mic disabled) and now their audio is crystal clear with next to no latency! Worth the money this thing is a beast!

Cheap, plugged in on windows 11 machine, works. Nice and simple.
Fast speeds. positioning of the antenna is crucial as a foot or so in one direction can lose you 80MB/s
Awesome! I’ve gone up from 70Mbpd using ether net cable through a Devolo powerline plug to 240Mbps over wifi. Bluetooth seems to be working just fine too. Easy install if you know how to install a pcie card (plenty videos on YouTube if not). The drivers didn’t auto install in my case, so downloaded from TP-LINK website. However no AX3000 listed do I installed TX3000 drivers & seems to be working and no exclamation marks in Device Manager. Very good investment!
It gives really fast Internet speed and it is easy to install. Only problem is that I can’t set up the Bluetooth but that might be because my pc has a weird plug in area for Bluetooth. The inteners are magnetic so it can easy go onto of the pc.
Went from 20 mb/s download 5 upload on speedtest, to 270 mb/s download 27 upload.
I didn’t know my router was capable of reaching these speeds, in fact no device I’ve ever owed has given such wifi performace. This includes phones and a macbook.

Brilliant Connection through 3 solid concrete walls leading from upstairs to downstairs where the router is placed. No WiFi ?? No Problem. I can highly recommend this WiFi card with very easy installation and the Bluetooth is a welcome bonus
upon setting this up i now have about 600 each way (DL/UL) alongside my wifi 6 connection which is amazing for wireless!
Works like a charm, had issues with my previous wifi adapter. This adapter does not have nearly as much ping jitter/lag. Bluetooth is also the cherry on top. Although it is more expensive than other adapters, you know it will work well. If you need a stable connection for gaming, or streaming can not recommend any more.
I recently upgraded to gigabit Internet so I had to change my network card to take advantage of the new speed.
I really liked the ease of installation. Windows detected the new card and installed the drivers automatically.
My new router is not in a very good position (behind my TV!) But even with this impediment im still getting speeds of over 700mb vs the old card which had speeds of 450mb.
Also worth noting is that the cable for the antenna is actually a decent length so I was able to set it in a good position on my desktop.
I would recommend this card if you are looking to upgrade to WiFi 6 and have the line speed to take advantage.
Very easy to install and set up, allows for extremely quick WiFi 6 on home network and Bluetooth works like a charm.
Amazing card. I went from 50Mbps with my old card, to what my internet is capable of, 1100Mbps. I was going to run an ethernet through my house to get my speeds… i didnt know these cards existed! Fantastic.
Genuinely so impressed with this, I bought as a last hope as everything I tried so far to improve connectivity/download speeds on my pc just did not work. Very very easy to install literally just a straight swap, drivers update themselves so don’t need to worry about downloading anything. I didn’t bother with the bluetooth as I have no use for it so no opinion on that. As of now I have the max download/upload I can get and is better than what I was getting with powerline adapters! Great product.
First time I’ve ever fitted pc hardware &it was so easy. I Watched a tutorial then did it myself. No probs loading drivers off disc. Worked immediately. My son is super happy now he can play games on his pc in his room. He says there’s no difference between it being connected via ethernet cable which is impressive, 30ft from router.
I have Virgin 1gig broadband but my router is downstairs and my PC is upstairs, through two brick walls (in addition to the floorboards).
I had been using a USB dongle. Was getting 20-50 megs on wifi. Adequate for most things if I’m honest. But I wanted a little bit more of the speed that I was paying for.
So, I installed this card and my speed went up to 500-600 megs. Not bad for wifi, eh? 🙂

If your looking for a good WiFi connection and internet speeds this is what you need, easy to fit. Bluetooth very good. And it increased my internet speed by 3times
Has a wide array of settings, including one that you can set it to prefer 2.4/5/6 GHz, although in the end I just had to tell it to use 5GHz only.
Windows wouldn’t recognise it without the TP-LINK drivers (unlike previous WiFi cards), so I had to download and send them over from my phone, I advise you do that beforehand if possible. They also come on a CD but nowadays that’s rarely useful.
The Bluetooth connection takes a whole USB pin slot on the motherboard. I had one lying around free but if you have added additional USBs to your build it might not be a feature you can easily use.
Recently upgraded broadband to Fttp, download was 50Mb, now 150Mb but had an older PCe WiFi card in desktop and was only pulling around 70Mb. So time to updrage and found this. Card using Intel chipset which I find to be reliable and good. Once installed, changed a few settings such as band preference, boost throughput etc etc and BAM! Desktop download no 150Mb and wireless speed jumps from 144Mbps to 780Mbps. So overall, extrememly happy as it’s made our desktop WiFi capabilities more modern.
I paid 29.99 for this on sale so my review takes that in to consideration.
Good quality product, simple to install, and you have the choice of connecting the attena to the card directly or you can connect them to the magnetic base provided. This allows you to “move your WiFi” slightly and is also quite smart sitting on a desk.
Overall a good product, I get the speeds I hoped for and the connections are strong. Would I pay 60 for it? There may be alternatives that do similar if not the same better. It’s worth checking out.

Since this is based on an Intel chipset, you don’t have to worry about any windows updates breaking wifi. It’s an amazing card. Using it for months now and never had any disconnections or other weirdness. Speeds are very decent for a wifi connection.
I opted for this product so I could use wireless instead of Ethernet.
Saves a huge bother of another cable behind the pc
Easy to install, goes just under your graphics card, fit + screw. Then a cable from the product into a usb slot at the bottom of your motherboard
If you have no disc drive (installation is also easy) Just go to the TP link website, check which product you have purchased (in this case AX3000E) and download wifi and bluetooth drivers. then you are good to go..
Bluetooth connectivity is also easy and easy to pair. transferring photos has never been easier.

Easy to install. I plugged her in, changed the power cable to the one provided in the box, and screwed in the antenae cables. It doesn’t work straight out of the box so I installed the drivers using the CD ROM provided. After that, it was done! I am now enjoying a wonderful, steady connection to my router.
The bottom of the antenae module has a magnet so it won’t get knocked over easily. The only thing I would have liked is a slightly longer cable leading to the antenae. It only reaches to about the front of my PC case. But it sorted my problem and I love it anyway!
Installed this yesterday, the drivers CD won’t open so had to go to website. Still no working drivers! Called support who tried but didn’t manage it. Refund agreed however, today, I uninstalled website drivers and installed the older ones and hey presto it works great and I get the same speed that I do with ethernet!
I had a cheap and cheerful network card in my pc, and was getting 10mbs via wifi (from a broadband provider delivering 100mbs to the router). I didn’t expect this to make a huge difference, but I am now getting the full 100mbs on wifi! I like the external aerial which can only help reception. Easy to install, and didn’t even need me to install a driver (it may have done it automatically – i don’t know how these things work).
The card was easy to install, got the drivers from their website as it did not come with a disk and I dont have a CD drive but I still like shiny things so miss the cd’s that they used to come with.
The product slots into a pcix1slot easily enough and takes usb power from a header on the mother board this is required for bluetooth connections. That is unfortunately where my experience ended, I had to return the product as it uses a Intel chip (AX) and since my system would not alloew me activate the 5ghz channel due to this I cannot say how good that side of it is. Though the 2.4ghz connection was solid Intel and Microsoft do not allow a 5fhz wifi hot-spot to be created so rendered it useless for me and my quest 2.
I tried the work arounds but nothing worked so had to return. Other than windows hating me and the chip I would of kept this card gladly as it was high quality with good signal strength and great value for money!
My PC was suffering for abysmal wifi for months. I had the ISP engineers out, tried another Wi-Fi card. Installed a wireless mesh network. Nothing worked. Even reinstalled windows.
I looked up reviews and this came up often. I installed the card, the antennas are very powerful and pick up most near by networks too. You need to install the drivers VIA the disc first. But now I have super fast, reliable wifi.
This card is built for windows 10 as well. Whether that makes a massive difference or not to my issue I’m not sure. But very happy with this unit.
Only complaint, it was sent without a box. So just factory packaging with a label on top. Wasn’t impressed with that.
I used this adapter to replace an older TP-Link one which had fixed antenna and was a bit slow. Fitting the new adapter increased my WiFi speed at my desktop PC from around 70 Mb/s to around 110Mb/s which is the full speed for my ISP/router. Removing the old and installing the new was easy and was working in a few minutes. No problems using the supplied drivers on CD. I was able to position and adjust the the antenna for best signal. Been in use for a week or so and I’m well pleased. Not using WiFi 6 but got it for a bit of “future proofing”. Connected and configured the Bluetooth with no problems but haven’t used it at all yet.
I bought this after trying a few cheaper alternatives.
This is by far better than any other cheaper model I tried. The connection is fast and stable, I can do long data transfers with almost no stutter or speed fluctuations. I cannot verify the maximum speed, but I get the same connection speed as I do with a ethernet cable connected to my router (75Mbps).
I have only used the Bluetooth connection a couple of times. The connection has always been steady, I stream music to speakers without any stuttering. I do not know what speeds it is capable of.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this.
Perfect for my desktop PC, in my previous house I used a powerline Ethernet which gave me a bit of lag and loss of speed but in my new house that wasn’t an option. I had a old wifi card in my PC which only ran on 2.4Ghz and I was getting unstable ping and speeds of around 20MB/s.
Since getting this I’ve plugged it in and used the extendable antenna and immediately have max speed of my router of 100MB/s up and 30MB/s down as though I was directly next to the hub when in reality its a whole floor and few walls away. Incredibly happy with this as now I have no lag in games/streaming. Bluetooth works amazingly, the last wifi card with inbuilt bluetooth I tried was very poor and kept cutting out but this card runs multiple bluetooth connections seamlessly.
Definitely worth paying a bit more initially to get a better wifi card like this if your circumstances can’t allow a ethernet cable.
Bought this as I wanted to move away from using power line adaptors and use Wi-Fi instead. So far the cards been rock solid with great speeds and no dropped connection. In fact, the speed I get through this is higher than what I was getting via power line (obviously that down to the quality of the wiring you’re using for the power line networking).
On Windows 10 I did need to download the drivers from the TP-Link website first though as windows didn’t have a generic driver it could use with this card, so bear that in mind when installing.
I Purchased this card to add wifi & Bluetooth to my rig. I chose this particular model a) bc TP-link is a trusted brand so I knew it would work & b) I thought it had red LEDs on the base (It does not ).
there is also a significant impact on internet speed depending on whether you use the extender or plug the antenna directly into the card; here are some readings I got: with that extender I was getting 7.5Mbps – very slow for the wifi I have but put it down to the distance from the router. however, i decided to try plugging the antenna directly into the card and bam straight back up to the 33Mbps I would expect … I’d recommend buying this product, possibly though a variant without the extender as the signal; degradation that causes is way too high!
I’ve got the stock TalkTalk Super router a floor below me. My internet would sometimes drop out on the 2.4Ghz frequency, and there was barely any signal on the 5Ghz freq which I put down to the quality of a stock network router. After upgrading to this wifi card, I get a full signal on the 5Ghz frequency and my signal is now fully stable; only dropping out when the network is having external issues.
I upgraded from the Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I which is still a very well rated wifi card but it’s just too old now.
Easy to install just slot into a PCI-E slot and remember to connect the little wire to the adaptor to a F-USB port on the board for bluetooth to work.
Works on Windows 10, great for streaming Prime/Netflix etc and downloading massive files like games, also the bluetooth connects Dual Shock 4 v.2 PlayStation pads too! Don’t have a different pad to hand to test PS5 or Xbox but I’d assume at least Xbox One would work.
Maybe grab the drivers online before you install unless you have an optical drive to use the diver disk (bottom of box).
Had seen quite a few reviews talking about whether this works with Windows 10 and which drivers were best to install etc.
I simply plugged it in to the PCIe slot of my PC, connected the cables for the ariels, and turned on the PC. I was immediately greeted with a Windows notification saying “Welcome to Wifi 6”, without installing any device drivers. My Wifi speeds went from 10Mbps on my old adaptor to 230Mbps on the new one (max speed for my connection). The connection has been 100% stable since I installed the new card.
I can’t comment on the Bluetooth functionality as I did not have a spare USB slot on my motherboard to connect this to. As I have a bluetooth dongle anyway, this wasn’t a problem.
Windows build is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, OS Build 19041.985. Router Asus AX5400 RT-AX82U (with Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in modem mode).
Great that this adapter card has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integrated. My Internet package is 100Mb but I actually get 112Mb, and using the speedtest app this adapter has given me 92Mb at best. Whereas my mobile phone using the same app in the same location gets the full 112Mb. So basically this adapter’s Wi-Fi could be a bit better considering it has 2 large external antennas but I’m happy with it. Signal has not dropped out at all so far.
I bought this to replace my ASUS PCE88 adapter. It had some connectivity issues and was missing settings and features for some reason. This replacement, despite being half the price of the ASUS adapter, is a significant improvement on what I had before. The connection feels much more stable than before and it has many of the features that I was missing, such as preferred band options. It’s also very easy to install as well. Maybe not exactly fool proof but close enough. The only downside I can think of is that I currently cannot use the Bluetooth functionality. This is because the socket on the motherboard that the included cable plugs into is occupied by the front USB header. Aside from that, it is certainly worth the money and I highly recommend this.
I have a mesh wifi set up in my house but have been slightly disappointed as I didnt buy the three disc pack. Ive been hoping the add on disc to drop in price but no luck. The two disc set up is not really sufficient for the size of my house, not really a big house, just tow storey three bed. Fine downstairs but no good upstairs. Lately I have been considering improving my bluetooth connection and then I thought it might be worth looking at both at the same time. Bought the tx3000e in the hope that both would improve and BANG! Fantastic! I’ve relocated my mesh discs down stairs and my PC, upstairs, is a rocket! More than happy, why have I not done this long ago.
So I bought this after building my own PC earlier on in the year only to find that a bluetooth transmitter wasn’t on the Motherboard I used.
I’d already purchased a tiny little adapter and had managed to hook up my Bluetooth mouse to that but couldn’t get my Bluetooth keyboard to work with it, eventually I bought this but with some trepidation.
I’ve already got a TP Link router so figured that this might work well with that, but I was a bit worried about the whole antenna bit. My main worry was that I’d end up with having to carefully place the antenna system somewhere so that it wouldn’t fall over. I hadn’t realise that the antenna base was magnetised and was delighted to see that it happily sticks to my case and actually looks good whilst doing it. Also suddenly the Bluetooth keyboard that had refused to work any distance away from the PC is actually happily now connecting and working.
It’s early days yet but if this continues I’m completely happy. Installation was a cinch but, don’t be like me and just stick it in the case and attach the antennas expecting it to work. You will need to attach the included power cable which I believe must plug into a usb port on your motherboard.

Having installed WiFi 6 in the house, I wanted to upgrade my PC to improve signal reception strength & stability with a WiFi 6 PCIe Adapter. I’ve used TP-Link products before and found them to be reliable; this TX3000E also comes out well in independent reviews. Although there are ‘generic’ WiFi 6 PCIe cards available at around 30, I thought it was worth spending more for reliability in the long term. This unit is very well-made with a large heat-sink and the option to mount antennas on a moveable base wherever signal strength is best. (But the cable length at circa 1M means options are limited). It worked first time with no need to download and install any drivers (Windows10). My PC is a standard full-size case; swapping out the card was easy with only a Phillips screwdriver needed.
I loved the aesthetics of this from the nice “clunk” of the magnetised antenna sticking to the top of the PC, to the nice red colour on the card itself.
If you’re looking at this product, you probably know the importance of which WiFi card you get… but just in case you didn’t know, make sure you know what devices in your house use the latest WiFi it can. and ensure the router you have is able to give you at least AC (WiFi 5) speeds. I would recommend this card to anyone trying to future-proof their PCs or anyone that has, or will be, getting an AX (WiFi 6) router soon.
My story:
I bought this after realising that another PC in the house had an old WiFi card (WiFi 3) which made it difficult to do conference calls. The WiFi card was throttling the WiFi speed to around ~20Mbps when we have 100 Mbps fibre internet. I bought this for MY current PC to future proof it for when WiFi 6 becomes more popular and then I installed my WiFi 4 card onto the other PC.
Windows 10 will only install the drivers automatically to connect the Wifi, but you’ll need to be connected to internet.
On the TP-Link website you’ll find the drivers and is very easy to install, it took 7 minutes to install the card on my motherboard and the usb wire from the card to enable Bluetooth (if you don’t connect this cable you’ll only be able to connect the wifi) switch on the computer while connected to internet by wire, downloaded the drivers, installed driver for wifi and then the Bluetooth, works really good. I can connect my headset and PS4 gamepad to my computer at the same time over Bluetooth.
Wifi speed is the same than a wired connection with a CAT6 cable, I only noticed 1ms more on the latency, apart of this is I haven’t found anything wrong with it.
I was, or still am, looking at routers which would replace my default issued ISP modem/router, but before biting the bullet with an expensive (300+) top-of-the-line router, I wanted to try a modern PCI-e adaptor with the latest standard in Wi-Fi tech. I wanted a Wi-Fi 6 compatible adaptor to ‘future-proof (oh how naive)’ myself. Therefore I was looking at adaptors with Intel AX200 chips, but I also wanted to find one with freely placeable antennae.
To preface, I was sceptical of Wi-Fi adaptors due to my prior experience. To put into context, my wife’s desktop in the same room with a 3 year old Netgear adaptor gets around 60Mbps (out of an ISP rated 350Mbps). I’ve never seen ISP rated speeds using Wi-FI adaptors versus direct Ethernet connection. I had an inkling that this may be due to the antennae being in a poor position because they’re directly connected to the PCI-e bracket.
Out of the AX200 chip-set adaptors, this one was one of the few that had an extendable antennae. I also chose this one because I have heard of TP-LINK in the past, others were unfamiliar brands (not to knock them, they could be great!).
Much to my surprise – with the correct positioning of antennae – I am able to receive my ISP’s rated speeds one floor above my ISP’s modem/router. The movable antennae is great because I can fix it onto the front of my desktop with its magnetic base to get a strong reception. I would say that the antennae’s cable length is slightly smaller than I anticipated – it’s around a meter or a bit long, but it was enough to reach the desk and other places in close proximity.
Will, or should I, buy a Wi-Fi 6 router after using this adaptor? Eventually, yes. Our household has an increasing number of devices, some of which already are communicating over the new ‘6’ standard. But for now I shall wait until the router offerings become more mature and tested. I am currently happy using this adaptor with an older 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) standard router.
I will knock off a ‘star’ for value for money. It is 60 quid, and a lot of the other AX200 offerings float around 30-40, albeit without the extendable antennae. I was Umming and ahing whether to get this compared to a cheaper fixed antennae card, but in the end I am pleasantly surprised, and will be buying another for my wife’s desktop.
I just wanted to write this because I was in a predicament with all the various PCI-e cards floating around, and was genuinely happy with this type.
I am unable to comment of the Bluetooth functionality – I have no desire for my desktop to have it.
