Works great, beautiful looking controller. Does come with batteries and it does take the ‘venom’ pack but PLEASE NOTE you cannot put the battery case back on of using the venom rechargeable battery pack. Does not affect use of controller. Just a note to the general aesthetic if you were thinking of using your venom battery
If someone you know loves pink and xbox, then this controller is going to make them very happy! Purchased for a girl who was in raptures when she received it!
Whilst I appreciate there’s a lot of starfield hype, I’ve got to say this controller is very nice indeed. It also has rubberized grips & a metal d-pad & feels a little heavier than a standard series controller. Usually this kind of thing doesn’t get me excited and I wouldn’t describe myself as a fan boy, but this controller is impressive.
I’ve had the carbon black controller previously, decided to treat myself to the Stellar Shift, so beautiful, photos don’t do it justice! Slightly rubberised rear grips are also a nice touch and make it a little more comfortable to hold than the regular controllers. I use this on my Steam Deck and works perfectly just like other Cbox controllers (although it needed a firmware update via the Xbox Accessories app on Windows (via Parallels on Mac as I don’t have a Windows Pc or Xbox) before it would work via Bluetooth with my Deck, but it’s a quick process, just something to bear in mind). Now just waiting for Razer to make the matching charging stand for it.
well mine was faulty sticky button a replacement is on its way i have found the Xbox one controller is one of the best controllers on the market the new design is excellent fits in your hand better than the previous controller that just one day stopped working it was years old and served me well so i decided to purchase a new one my first search was amazon the price was competitive my only disappointment was the now the lack of limited edition controllers that suited my tastes so for now i will just use a standard colour.

Shock Blue is a lovely colour and a great design that suits this magnificent product, thanks for actually making it work for the Xbox one but mostly only mentions the Xbox Series anyways it’s all good
I bought this as an upgrade from my Original Xbox controller and this is just much better grippy, buttons are more responsive and it now has Bluetooth which means it can be used on phones/tablets to play games.
As with the controller you get with the Xbox, it’s very comfortable to hold, even for a long time, the actions are smooth and consistent and it was so simple to set up, I let my cat do it. I also lie occasionally about my cat’s abilities.

My son wanted a newer controller, so we got this, Nice all round! can’t fault or argue
FIFA seems to break these, they seem to snap in half when my son plays that dam game
The first Xbox One controller came without a standard 3.5mm audio jack and had a terrible d-pad, but was great for analogue control.
The second Xbox Once controller did have a standard audio jack, but didn’t seem to improve much else.
This version though… is excellent. The textured grips sound like a minor change, but it makes a lot of difference. However, the d-pad is now actually usable! Great for platformers on the PC and iPad. Absolutely cannot fault it.
I will not be using my older controllers now. The new one is by far the best controller I’ve ever used.

I was using the controller xbox 360 for pc and after upgrading to this one, it is such a big diference. comfortable and argonomic.
I have recently bought myself a gaming laptop and wanted a controller. This controller is excellent for using with the laptop as it pairs via Bluetooth and the laptop and games automatically recognise the controller. I really like the feel of this controller and the buttons and string and accurate. Battery wise I ended up buying a rechargeable one as it same money in the long run. Overall very happy with this controller.
It’s the XB controller. What’s to say it’s fantastic, it’s versatile, can be used with the PC and XB. It’s sturdy, it has a nice click to everything it does. It feels good in the hand. It’s smaller than some of the past ones that really hammered people with smaller hands. I was always fine myself but it was a concern for many people. It’s now at a sweet spot of size I think.
But more importantly than everything I’ve just said. It has a ridiculous battery life. And I mean that in a good way. A very good way! Comparing it to my ps5 controller it’s an order of magnitude better when it comes to length of charge. I remember when I 1st got the XB1 with its controller I started to think the battery indicator was borked on the software and it just stayed at full all the time. Amazing. This is particularly pertinent I feel with the disaster of Sony’s new 4hour battery life for its “pro” controller.
Absolutely recommended. But if you can afford it spring for the Elite version.
It didn’t work out of the box with my PC. You need at least Bluetooth v4. Once I had also bought a new Bluetooth dongle it works great, vibration and all working great over the Bluetooth connection.

These new controllers which came out with the Xbox series s and x still work with the Xbox ones.
There is much more grip on these and the share button works

After using the pad for about a mouth (out of amazons warranty time) the D-pad has developed an issue where sometimes it won’t work in one direction for the first few clicks this is on and off.
It is a good controller and it comes with batteries I got it as a present for my friend
Great value. Works, perfectly. Feels solid and responsive. A little lighter than my older official pad too. No issues at all. Not tried it on the PC yet though.
Gorgeous controller and it grips doesn’t slide out your hand
It is important to remember that there is no cable or bluetooth connection in this box. Only controller is sent. If you are a first time buyer like me, you must have already purchased or already have the xbox controller wifi adapter.
The design, key sensitivity and control are really good. I like that there is no button on the back. Because controllers with buttons on the back are annoying.
I bought it the same day to play FIFA and bought this product because Amazon sells it directly. Amazon is really fast and very good at this. I haven’t seen any better yet. I am very satisfied, thank you.
The gripes I have is that the controller is quite heavy in part because it uses AA batteries instead of a lighter rechargeable LiOn battery. So if your battery dies you have to swap out batteries. You don’t have the option to recharge it while plugged in without an expensive add-on. In addition if you play emulated games on your PC, especially PS3 or Switch you might be better off using a PS4 controller because it benefits from having touch & tilt sensors that this does not have.
With all of the previous, (Microsoft Supplied), Xbox One Wireless Controllers the build qualty was very extreemly poor. – To us: this extreemly poor build quality was evident in fact that none of them lasted very long and they all felt cheap in the hand.
Let’s face it; for years Xbox One Wireless Controllers appeared to be designed to fail while the Sony Wireless Controllers had a much better build quality and the Sony ones lasted and lasted.
Just by the weight and the feel the build quality of this new type of Xbox One Wireless Controller seams to be very similar to the Sony Wireless Controllers and we suspect that Microsoft have started to use the same manufacturer as Sony for these devices and If so, it’s about time !
Wish they’d make these things a bit higher quality, but it’s a good replacement or addition for the original controllers. Poor that they don’t supply them all with a rechargeable battery.
Pros
– The shoulder buttons, trigger buttons and analogue sticks seem to be of good quality.
– The controller includes 2x AA batteries so you are good to go if you wish to use it wirelessly, as long as your device has the bluetooth it requires to run.
– It has the usual xbox design which mainly borrows from the Sega Dreamcast in layout.
– The controller is recognised on a computer without installing extra software.
– The controller is not very heavy.
Cons
– The d-pad (especially) and it’s four main buttons are a bit loud or clicky which makes the controller feel cheap. There may be alternative controllers with better feeling d-pads out there, although if it’s for retro games you might be better getting a classic styled controller as a backup to this one.
– The battery cover is of thin plastic which also feels cheap. It may be hard to remove too, and feels like it could break. On the cover, put your finger or nail where the arrow shows and push up gently to open.
– The 2x AA batteries included are not rechargeable!
– There is no USB-C to USB-A cable included so you can’t use the controller wired for no lag and zero chance of signal dropouts, unless you have a modern phone cable available.
– For over fifty quid the gamepad is quite expensive.
ps Some wireless xbox controller chargers on here have been reported to damage controllers, so I decided to use a simple duracell AA battery charger instead. There don’t seem to be many that are compatible with the sx controllers anyway.
I avoid non branded items and made up brand name chargers for safety. If you go for any kind of charger or batteries, consider getting them offline or from a high st online store to be safe. I went for rechargeable AA batteries with the highest ‘mah’ rating I could find (highest that the charger could support) so that they would last longer before needing charged again. For the most part though, I’ll probably just use the controller with a phone cable to connect to pc or console.
There are reports of the white controllers changing pink on the back where your hands normally go, as a result of sweat and long term use. I have not had it long enough to experience this. Other than that, it’s still a good controller, and if you aren’t going to use it for many games which require many d-pad combinations (such as in retro fighting games) then you shouldn’t have a problem with it.
I really enjoy using this controller, the rb and lb pads did break early on after buying it, but I replaced them and haven’t had a problem since.
