Good specs, good price, would be better with increased resolutio
Brilliant monitor for gaming. Significant difference from my previous one. Very happy
This monitor was available for less than 120 when I bought it!
How, for that price, do you get a 24-inch screen with a 1080p resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate that make the games look smooth and crisp?
I use it mainly for gaming and it performs flawlessly. It has multiple ports for connecting different devices and it’s very easy to set up and adjust, although the 165Hz refresh rate is only available through the Display Port. If you connect it using HDMI, you will only get 144Hz.
In conclusion, for me, it’s an absolute steal at that price.
There really isn’t much to say about this monitor other than HOW IS IT AVAILABLE FOR 120. It’s an absolute steal at that price and has every desirable feature you could want from a modern 1080p monitor. Insanely good value, buy it buy it buy it! Also, deliver estimate was about 3 weeks but it came in 3 days. Absolutely unbeatable. I ordered it for my friend but now I actually want to buy one myself!
This monitor is an absolute gem. Purchased for 120 for a 165Hz, 0.5ms monitor, it’s an absolute bargain. I’m that impressed with this monitor ive actually ordered another one and currently waiting delivery.
It has a 23.8 inch Full HD top-quality display that is designed specifically for gamers. With its fast refresh rate, advanced features, and impressive visual quality, this monitor is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance gaming display.
Also having built in Audio is great. The quality is spectacular. My video doesn’t do it justice honestly.
One of the standout features is its IPS panel which gives excellent colour accuracy and wide viewing angles, which means that the monitor’s display is consistent and vibrant from any angle. Additionally, the monitor supports HDR 10, which delivers deeper colors and greater contrast, making games and videos look more lifelike.
The monitor also features FreeSync Premium technology, which eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, providing smooth and fluid gameplay. With a fast refresh rate of 165Hz (OC) and a 0.5ms response time, it ensures that there is minimal lag between what’s happening in the game and what’s happening on the screen.
It has more adjustability than i’ve ever seen on a monitor for this price point. With its height-adjustable stand which allows you to adjust the height of the monitor to your preferred viewing position, reducing neck and eye strain during long gaming sessions.
In terms of connectivity it offers both DisplayPort and HDMI ports, making it easy to connect to a wide range of devices. The monitor is also VESA mount compatible, which means that it can be mounted on a wall or desk mount for even great flexibility.
Overall, this monitor is an excellent choice for gamers who demand the best in terms of performance, features, and visual quality. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a serious pro, this monitor has everything you need to take your gaming experience to the next level.
Great Monitor Acer !!!!
Son Wanted a monitor for gaming we purchased this one, been very happy with i
The Acer Nitro XF243YPbmiiprx is a 24inch/1080p/165hz gaming monitor, although the 165hz is only available via display port as opposed to the 144Hz that the two additional HDMI ports deliver.
So my main purpose for buying the Nitro was to use in conjunction with my Steam deck, mainly for the desktop mode and 2 player games, while the Steam deck isn’t made for high refresh gaming it was still a feature I wanted to test out on my main rig. (Ryzen 3600/RTX3070 GPU > 4k 60Hz TV)
Well to cut a long story short, this monitor really has exceeded my expectations!
Even after reading numerous glowing reviews I was still a bit dubious, especially when you consider the low price, but since owning this monitor my Steam deck has remained firmly docked as nearly everything on my deck gets played via this monitor. I will be using this on my main rig for first person shooters as well!
Brightness:
One thing to note is that RTINGS tested this monitor and found the brightness closer to 400 Nits than the 250 Nits as advertised by Acer, it certainly goes very bright and does indeed seem close to the 400 Nits screen on my Steam deck.
The pictures I’ve taken are in the daytime, one is with a bright floor lamp switched on while the other picture shows the lamp switched off.
Hopefully this portrays that the monitor can easily handle brighter conditions, as well as being fine with low lighting, providing that all of these Nitro panels share the near 400 Nits that this one seems to contain.
(YMMV)
Stand:
I’ve heard people raving about the quality of the stand supplied and they’re 100% correct, as I also find the stand to be fantastic.
The stand itself is built like He-Man, whilst having great adjustability which is a joy to use, the overall quailty seen here would not go amiss if supplied with a monitor two or even three times the price!
Colours:
The IPS panel delivers colours with plenty of vibrancy and is a massive upgrade over previous budget monitors I have used in the past.
The Acer is also one of the few monitors I’ve come across where the standard settings were good straight out of the box, so for those that don’t like fiddling around you’ll have zero worries although changing settings via the joystick at the back is easy as pie.
Motion:
With the overdrive left to off, I noticed no issues playing Doom Eternal at 144Hz on my main rig and for those that like FPS titles then a high refresh is a must as it’s a noticable improvement over 60FPS/Hz.
That being said with other games such as Session the difference is alot more subtle but even if you don’t play fast paced first person shooters it’s definitely a nice bonus to have.
Negatives:
While the resolution is only a mere 1080p the Acer Nitro is only 24 inches so the PPI isn’t too bad, although I wouldn’t want to go much larger at 1080p.
The only other negative that I’ve noticed so far is some slight backlight bleed on my panel. This however is only noticeable when the screen is completely black, such as a loading screen, and even then it’s only a small portion of light poking through and cannot be seen under normal use.
Overall:
When it comes to cost and performance this monitor really delivers and that’s before you factor in the non reflective finish, vibrant colours and a fantastic adjustable stand that has no right being on a monitor at this price point.
For the truly insane price of 119.99 this Acer Nitro is a serious deal or should that be steal?
Great purchase, has impressed me more than I was expecting. Cheap beastly monitor.
If you like shooting photos and will edit them in the software, it’s important that using a monitor which has an accurate colour. This is the one with quite accurate colour, given that the price of this monitor is cheap.
Good high quality, High refresh monitor for 1080p gaming.
Only thing I didn’t like was that the on/off button are controls are on the back rather than at the bottom of the monitor.
This is an amazing monitor. Ordered it for the x box. My son is thrilled with it. Good value
The colours are very vibrant, and it makes all the games look very good. Top notch
This monitor was brought to replace my old monitor which was small and not even designed for gaming. After 2 years I finally decided to invest in a new monitor. I wanted to have a nicer experience. This monitor is a brilliant buy! The bezels are very slim, and the monitor has a very modern design. The stand is great too. The size is perfect for me, and the high refresh rate has made my experience change drastically, making my games feel much more responsive and fluid.
If you are on a budget and don’t want to spend a ton of money but want to upgrade your gaming experience, for the 120 I paid, this is an absolute deal!
Wasn’t sure what to expect with this monitor. Bought two of them. They are actually pretty good. Great for gaming and picture is nice for the price.
Bought it for my partner as a Christmas present and it’s been on and working basically non stop. Looks good works perfect just the sound is a bit worse than I imagined and the lowest volume of 1 is still a bit loud when one is trying to sleep while someone is playing. Love that it goes up and down and turns as makes for easy change. Overall I’d recommend it. No technical issues with it at all. Easy to figure out and connects to everything very well
Was a smidge wary based on some of the reviews but I had a limited monitor budget and as this was on a black friday sale I thought that this was worth a punt.
Was not disappointed – no light leakage – really good refresh rate.
Would buy agai
Got this for my home.office and some gaming, very nice looking abd slick, fits okay with the monitor arm but I had to Change the screws.
Overall good buy.
Great picture. 3 inputs. Does Not have VGA. Control panel is a bit hit and miss (location is at the back).. sometimes hard to get to if you have screens side by side..
Great refresh rate options when connected to DisplayPort (60, 75(?), 144, 185), 1080p is still sufficient to me for gaming but others may want to look for a higher quality monitor if it matters to them (1440p, 4k)
Bought to be used with Xbox Series S.
Works with 120hz @ 1080p and eventually got it to work with HDR content once you check “Allow 4K” in the console settings and set your resolution back to 1080p.
Screen uniformity is ok, backlight bleed is present but it always is to some degree with IPS panels, especially off axis or near the edges when sat centrally.
Colour temperature was far too cool and needed adjusting but once calibrated it’s perfectly acceptable.
Speakers are about as good as you’d expect from a monitor.
Overall good value for money but you get what you pay for. A great monitor when paired with Series S though.
I love the diversity of the monitor and how it can be portrait and landscape.
It truly has made my gaming experiance incredible.
Only issue I came across was the power cable was too short for my set up. But I made it work 😀
bought it a few weeks ago. it came nice and packaged and it had no damages. u can pick from 60hz to 165. i did get a bit of motion sickness for the first few days of using it but it went away. worth the money forsure.
It’s bright and vivid, has all the ports you’d expect, and 165hz is super super smooth, but, it is only 1080p
Even still I think it’s a great monitor and a good price for a 165hz
Purchased to provide a larger screen to use with my laptop and for a little light gaming with an Xbox S.
Had this monitor for a few weeks now, better than playing on 55″ Samsung 4k TV… Smooth graphics and I was surprised by how it was pretty much perfect. It has nice looking thin bezels a really nice looking stand which is very stable, picture quality and colour is impressive and monitor has no back light bleeding.
Set up is easy, the instructions on assembling the stand are clear and a search on YouTube will assist. The stand is solid and allows you to adjust height, tilt and swivel, so no need to buy a separate stand. Minimal edge around screen is great and overall display for price is great too.
big, clear screen, no concerns about the base.
this is quick responce lovely monitor, one of the best i have had, i recomend this, great for gaming,it’s so light weight and slim. Doesn’t feel like it takes up any room. I use it mostly for streaming and gaming and the graphics are fantastic.
Overall, a good purchase, no negatives at this time. would not hesitate to recommend this item especially at such a great price and of course backed by the great service I received from Amazon.
I’m used to play on TV and for some time I’ve been thinking about switching to a monitor. Last couple of weeks I used this one and it’s great, when you’re playing 1080p games (Xbox Series S). Colours are vibrant, built – in speakers are ok but you can connect your wired headset straight to the monitor.
Stand is stable and underneath there’s a “disc” do mask screw which you connect to the rest of it. There’s plenty of options to use it. You can set height, pivot it.
Initially OSD was difficult to control but after 3 days I was familiar with it. HDR is almost non existent because it’s seen when brightness is over 400 nits but it has 370.
2 HDMI ports are handy and DisplayPort, the latter supports 165HZ refresh rate and HDMI 2.0 only 120Hz.
ACER Nitro XF273 has minimalistic look and that’s great because I don’t like usual gaming monitors which are not good looking (at least for me).
If you look for budget gaming monitor, this one is one of the best in its class.
This gaming monitor by Acer is a real wow, the benefit of it’s high refresh rate is a need for todays gamers and quality seekers. However it feels a little left behind compared to other UHD screens.
Firstly, out the box great impression, comes with everything you need to get started. Built in power supply so all that goes to the back of the monitor is a kettle lead and also has a slightly on the short side HDMI cable and Display Port cable which is good to see! And of course an instruction manual.. but who needs those. The monitor looks great, all black trim, and has minimal bezels round the edges that give a seamless design. Putting it together is easy, comes in 3 parts, the screen, the height adjustable back stand and the foot. Can’t go wrong setting up, putting it together takes all of 30 seconds and with a press of the power button on the rear it powers up and finds the first active input straight away.
Coming from a smaller FHD monitor, the 27″ screen size does feel more of a benefit and has plenty adjustment for good viewing, whatever your circumstances. It does host some built in settings, however I feel they’d rather you used their pre-sets, but you can enter an extensive menu where there’s plenty of adjustment that can be done. It also has a “Max brightness” setting that really boosts the brightness which is actually very bright. This monitor supports HDR if your connected device supports it which is a good sign, and also the boasted 165Hz which is silky smooth. It’s excellent. Be aware to go into your console/PC settings to change this as my PC only selected 60Hz when it was first plugged in. The colour output is vibrant, all colours look great and not at all washed out. It also benefits from built in downward facing speakers which is good, although not the best, quite tinny and flat sounding. Not much louder than a laptops speakers, don’t expect to be wow’d.
My only gripe would be is to mention this is only a full HD monitor at 1080p, and for the size of it and the probability you’ll be sitting sort of closer to it, I noticed things aren’t as sharp compared to some of todays other performance monitors. At least QHD probably would be more ideal, but UHD is what you’d be after. I really noticed a difference comparing to a 4K screen things are a lot crisper. I feel Acer have maybe made a minor mistake making a gaming monitor in this day and age that’s only 1080p. I have attached a few images however I feel Amazon might compress these, so take my word for it.
Built quality of the monitor is excellent, very solid, no cheap creaky plastics etc. It looks nice to have on my desk. Currently at 239.99 I feel this is a respectable price and not at all bad for what you’re getting. The high refresh rate and screen size is definitely the main benefit here.
Overall this is an excellent monitor, but in my opinion, try and go for at least a QHD monitor or UHD one for the best experience in 2022, there are other options out there for not that much extra, but for me 4K resolution is the way to go and 1080p just feels a bit.. outdated now a days.
