I have bought so many hoses and they all kept bursting so glad I bought this one that retractable back in perfect and well worth the money no more burst hoses
This is an excellent piece of garden equipment – really well designed qnd works perfectly. Much cheaper too than similar items. I don’t know why Amazon call it a ‘Badic’ product – I would rename it ‘DeLuxe’ it’s that good!
This is a fantastic hose pipe. The recall mechanism works really well.
The length of the hose means that I can water both back and the end front garden.

I replaced my manual retractable unit with this. It’s easy to hang off the wall. The automatic retraction is very convenient – a real improvement on my old unit. What surprised me is the low pressure drop across the unit. It’s almost like having a mild pressure washer. Good for cleaning garden pots and lightly soiled areas. It also gives you a greater reach because the water jet goes further. Strongly recommended.
Used manual hose and reel, then 739 collapsible hoses (each lasting a year before leaking). This was easy to install, and a dream to use. how did i live without one before, i don’t know.
My only small niggles here that could be easily fixed:
– use a sticker that doesn’t leave adhesive when removed from the top
– needs a design which keeps the reel pressed against the wall, at present it just swings outwards due to weight sometimes
Well pleased with the garden hose, easy to put up onto the wall. Hose locks well after extending. ADVISE. To make sure hose doesn’t pop off due to high water pressure, leave the hose gun on and gently put on the water to a reasonable pressure level.
Replaced short feeder hose with a longer one from old hose, so could attach on side wall about 10 feet from tap. Took 5 mins. Need size 10 drill bit. Wall plugs supplied, aren’t for brick but used anyhow as only have smaller model, 6.9kg weight. Detach nozzle, water valve closes, so can walk hose where needed without wasting water. Attach nozzle, twist to get different water patterns as good as water gun. When finished remove nozzle, slight tug on hose, keep hold and walk as retracts as very powerful, turn off tap and attach nozzle. Round Cover was missing over the tensioner part, but couldn’t be bothered returning. Much superior to hand wound hoses. No leaks, no mess. Cheapest 15 M retractable hose I could find, they all look the same so why pay extra for the name.
This was bought to replace an older model made by a market leader. The old mechanism had become difficult to latch when the pipe was pulled out and fiddley compared to this one which is simplicity itself. The pipe has a guide for reeling in the pipe and the tension can be adjusted, although I’ve not needed to do that. Comes with all the fittings for wall mounting which was as simple as ABC as I had the drill and bits required to drill a hard brick wall. Only down side is you can’t lock the housing to the wall bracket to eliminate the possibility someone decides to steal it.
We bought a cheaper product which didn’t even get put up. Not had this long but been used plenty of times and works perfectly

It does what it is meant to and at a very reasonable price.
The accessories that come with the hose reel are of poor quality
I had to replace them with hozelock ones as the poor quality ones just leaked or stopped working.
Most annoying was the Internal piping was not connected and the water gushed out
After teething problems its all working now therefore 5-stars is not over rated
Lesson learned buy established branded goods instead of trying to save few quid cuz u end up paying more
What a great product, this hose is both strong and easy to install, the rewind is so easy to use and hasn’t let me down once, it is a good well made item both strong and durable.
Delighted with hose. Have quite large garden so an easily accessible hose is vital. Does the job perfectly. Easy to install and simple to use. When fully extended return can be quite quick so hold on tight and walk it back. So good that after using it better half said: “Why didn’t we get one years ago?!!”
Fitting screws raw plugs could be better , used Gratis Grip /Perfec
Good quality product well made easy to install on a wall with good anchor screws,good quality hose which i wasn’t expecting at the price this is, very happy. Life now is so easier with the ability to rewind the hose back onto the reel no more struggling,if you want a good priced hose reel this is the one to buy,must add it has a good length of hose also.brilliant.!!!
Read the instructions well before fitting,,,tension hose BEFORE extending,, Works well and retracts quickly..seems good value so far.
Great garden hose. Have not been disappointed. Easy to install and use. Can only give 4 stars for sturdiness as only time will tell. A good purchase and a very solid 4 stars overall.
Whilst the item was easy to put up the only issue I had was that the instructions stated to use an 8mm drill bit , the wall plugs claimed to be 8mm but they are very soft and crush if to dare use anything to assist them into the wall, so have another set ready.
1. The item description states there is 2 metres of “Feed Hose”, WRONG !! on mine it was only 1.6 metres long which meant I had to completely rethink where I was going to mount it.
2. The instructions state you’ll need an 8mm masonry drill, WRONG !! it is a 10mm, anything less and you’ll never get the supplied rawlplugs into the holes.
POINT TO NOTE : It is very BIG and very HEAVY so take this into consideration when choosing a site for it.
Overall this is a very good hose reel and assuming it’s long term serviceability is good, I see no reason not to give it a good 9/10 for effort
######## UPDATE ########
After a couple of months use I’d revise my rating to 10/10, it really is great, the automatic recoil is amazing, very powerful and has no issues recoiling all 30 metres of the hose at an amazing rate.
Having said that, ball race the drum runs on doesn’t appear to be as good a quality, but you do get clear ‘fuel hose’ as the link between the drum and the water supply
For the price I was well chuffed. The hose pulls out to desired length and a quick tug releases the lock to reel in like a tape measure.
I cannot fault it except the mounting screws are not really big enough for the weight.
I use it weekly to clean 3 vehicles at full stretch and the wife uses it daily in the summer to water her plants.
It always returns. Has never jammed and is still on the original attachments.
I have seen complaints about the wall bracket and I have to say I have had no trouble at all but do not over tighten the mounting screws as this could possibly cause the plastic to crack.
If care is taken fitting this unit it should last for years.
I only gave a 4 star rating as most 5 star ratings are not real and I wanted this to be see
Our old hose was well past its best, and had been needing replaced for a long time. The challenge I had was to get to the end of my garden I always had to link up another hose, and all the longer units were really expensive. I bought the 35m version of this, and I will admit it’s a heavy lump of a thing, however once the bracket was on the wall with the big screws and plugs supplied I suppose I will never lift it again. Fittings are good, actual quality of the hose itself seems really good. I like the fact it stops wherever you do, you don’t have to wait for locking clicks like my last one, and the recoil handles the whole 35m easily. I suppose my only fear is the weight combined with the spring pressure when reeling out on the mount, but only time will tell on that. Overall it seems every bit as good as premium brands at a better cos
o fitting instructions but VERY easy to see how it’s supposed to go up. I’m not entirely sure what the ‘inspection hatch’ on the top is for and can’t see an obvious need.
Was a bit surprised by the relatively small screws supplied considering the weight of the unit. That said its on the wall and solid so I’m not concerned now.
For future models, it would be handy to have some sort of wall hook or anchor. My thought is that if this is caught by a strong gust, it will start to swing out and smack against the wall.
Overall, very happy but I won’t be leaving this out on the bracket through winter. I sense that the casing won’t last more than 3 seasons if left out all year. Due to the design though, it simply slips off the mount with a lift so, again, not overly concerned. Happy so far but time will tell if it has longevity.
