I liked that it was easy to use but very cheaply made that the plastic end that fits under the door knob broke of just by accidentally dropping it while removing from the doo
I own a Masterlock bar and Amazon Basics is virtually identical far as I can tell.
I have bought 2 of those after there were a couple of burglaries in the area I leave.
They were delivered really quick.
They come packaged really nice in a cardboard box.
The bar is height adjustable and it has many different levels height which makes it pretty much universal.
I have tried it straight out of box,my partner set it in place which only took a few seconds.
I went outside and tried to open the door it was impossible, the door would have fallen of the frame if I tried any harder.
I’m a 15 stone guy and I did push really hard .
They do what they are meant to.
Nice and easy to use no fuss needed.
I had one of these growing up and when it was on the door we couldn’t get in the house so I decided to get one it works it brings back childhood memories

It took me some time to get i5 right as I wanted it for an oversized door that opens outwards.
It took me a little while to work out where to position the pole whereby I couldn’t open the door as it slid around a bit on my wooden floor.
When all sorted it does what it says on the packet. My son went outside anD tried to open the door (unlocked) but couldn’t so very happy with the produc
Bin zufrieden mit der Fenstersicherung. Leider habe ich es selbst nicht hinbekommen, auch nicht ber das Einlesen mittels eines YT-Videos, daher einen Punkt Abzug. Beschreibung hat gefehlt.
Ein Freund hat es dann nach einigem Tfteln hinbekommen.

ich habe den Versuch bei meinen Zimmertren gemacht wo ich eine Abtrennung zum restlichen Haus haben mchte. Die Tren haben keinen Schlssel und sind nicht aushebelsicher – daher kann – selbst bei straff eingestellter Stange am Trgriff – bei einem Gegendruck von auen die Tr aus der Zarge gehoben werden. Diese Stange hilft hier sogar dabei., da sie bei Gegendruck eben mit Kraft nach oben reagiert. Egal wie ich die Stange einstelle und festziehe, ich schaffe es immer die Tr auszuhebeln.
Somit mu hier immer die Tr abgeschlossen werden, denn hier verhindert das Schlo ein Aushebeln, nicht die Stange.
Ich wei, das Problem mu ich bei denTren angehen, diese mit Schlo ausstatten und – wenn es gent – die Scharniere mit einer Aushebelsicherung versehen.
Das Handling war soweit OK, bei dem Preis habe ich mir aber auch nicht mehr erwartet.

The lock on my patio door is a little wonky so I bought this as a back-up. After getting the door replaced, I’ve kept this around to have for piece of mind if I ever had lock or security issues.

Got this because there was a rumors of some home invasions at my condo, but the rumors were false, regardless I kept it and use it nightly on my front door, easy to install and I’ve tested it, no one is getting in unless they use a ton of force. It will def keep you safe and deter potential invaders.
Bought 2 of these to jam it up against my front entry door and place it on the rails of my back sliding door to keep them from opening.
They are sturdy. Once placed ,there is no way anyone is pushing through the door and coming in. And best of all , you can swing it to cause some damage to protect yourself.
This is basically an easily adjustable bar, that you set up to brace between the door handle and the floor. The trick is not to set it up too long so it juts out from the door. The rubber base pad only needs to be about 8-10 inches away from the door frame at the base.
It takes a few minutes to adjust, and then every time you go to bed you can wedge this gently up against the door you are trying to secure and you are done. It basically works by converting horizontal energy into vertical energy. I.e. if someone tries to force the door, when they kick or barge the door, the brace transfers the energy into the floor, and effectively drives the door upwards, jamming into the frame.
You are practically going to have to kick the door off its hinges or kick until eventually the bar drives loose (if it does indeed vibrate loose)
The great thing about this was that it was dirt cheap, leans next to the door, taking up no space, and forces any intruder to use a lot of force, and make a hell of a lot of noise, to defeat the door.
I used to work in security and Ive kicked in a few doors when people have been locked in and needing help. Trust me when I say that doors might be strong, but the lock area is the weakest part. You have to drill out about 60% of the wood to insert the handle and lock mechanism, thats why the door always fails at that point. These bars work so well because the change the direction of force and push it upwards. Making the door effectively MUCH stronger.
I really hope Amazon starts selling these again because I would like one for inside the house to deploy if I had a house invader scenario.

Very easy to install and think it’s worthe money. Wasn’t that expensive
It did its job well, but it doesn’t look brand new as there are several scratches and signs of peeling paint.
I just made a trip from CA to FL and I used this bar at a number of different hotels. I never saw an issue with this bar. I double checked the bar when I wedged it in the door and it worked as expected.
Most of the time the bar was on carpet, but 40% of the time it was on tile floor. We did NOT have any problems with slipping or breakage of the bar.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who travels.

I had a problem with someone coming in my bedroom locked door at night with a butter knife. This stopped them, they couldn’t get the door open with this product on the other side. Love it!!!

Very Good To slow the crooks down! This is my second one Does what it suppose to do. Don’t rest it on carpet or it will slide if the door is pushed open..
I have a walkout basement and wanted to make it harder to enter the house from there. Set up takes seconds and secures the door well. I am a big guy and I was not able to even budge the door.
You can’t beat this as a Security Device for the price! It showed up exactly when it was supposed to. I opened the box, adjusted the length/height to fit my door in about 10 seconds and wedged it in place. The only way anyone is getting through my front door is to shoot the hinges off with a shot-gun, or they would literally have to smash down the front wall of my house.
This is easily the best money I’ve spent in home protection! Nobody and nothing is getting into my house unless I move this out of the way to let them!
Feel safe now. The door will break before these do
This product exceeded my expectations given how much it cost. First of all, this product (bought two) is NOT cheaply made. It appears to me (non-engineer) that a lot of thought went into the design and construction. We had purchased a similar product years back for our two daughters – so we were pretty familiar with what we were looking for. This product is a no-frills winner in my book. The informational booklet that came with the product could have been more descriptive.
I traveled by car with my attractive granddaughter across USA. I didn’t always book ahead on hotels. It can be a crap shoot on the quality of accommodation for just sleeping.
I carried this into only a few hotels and used. You wouldn’t know how effective unless it was aggressively tested. We attempted. It did not break or budge. It’s really heavy. Swing this and connect with a head or rib you WILL hurt someone. That’s all I write.
The bar is really good for fitting behind doors, it stops you from being able to open them from the opposite side. Useful if you are worried about intruders. You can fit it to patio doors as well horizontally to stop them being drawn open. Might be handy to keep in your car in case the zombie apocalypse happens (joke).
Seems good enough. Pole is sturdy. The rubber stopper that touches the floor doesn’t seem to grip all too well on my tiled floors but seems decent, it does glide a few times when I test opening the door with rod in place. The pin that keeps rod length in place is difficult to put back in. You get what you pay for. Value is good for what I wanted to pay.
I love this product. When I received it my mother wanted to make sure it worked so she had me set it to her front door, put me outside and locked me out. I tried to open her door and I tried my hardest. The door would not budge. Needless to say after a few seconds of laughter we determined it worked. I also recommend it to my neighbor. Should get a referral check but if it keeps us safe I’m good. I’m also drunk
Very easy to use once you figure it out. The one I was sent didn’t have any instructions but within a minute or so it was in position against our front door.
It seems relatively robust and wedges in place pretty tightly. As an extra bit of security and for peace of mind its not bad. It doesn’t demand complex installation and it’s a quick, simple solution.
It’s metal and plastic and how well the plastic parts would hold up under determined assault I can’t say but plastic can be strong, afterall most modern external doors are plastic.
Either way it would be difficult to quietly get around this security solution so it’s a deterrent.
This is a great invention! I really like the idea, especially when you go in holiday and you want to secure one of your doors or the windows!

This Adjustable Security Bar is quite qualitative and durable. It is easy to adjust the length extension to the required size. It is quite comfortable to use.
