I was thinking of returning it due to me thinking the joints were stuck. My recommendation is to not try to “manipulate” the joints before assembling the whole arm. Yes with force it will work, but it will make you think something is wrong when nothing is wrong.

You first need to install the arm with the monitor, even if it faces upwards. Once set up, the motions will be much smoother due to the leverage the monitor provides, then you will be able to adjust everything very easily, assuming your monitor isn’t tiny or too light.

Even if I struggled, I’m giving this a 5/5. In fact, we can’t even say that the instructions are not clear, because they don’t ask you to play with the joints before setting up the monitor.

All perfect for my 38 inches monitor LG 38WN95C-W (8.3 kg). So far no need to screw the resistance but I’m sure they will be useful in the future.

Apparently this is manufactered in the same factory as the Ergetron arms. And just rebranded amazon basic. So getting a used one half the price on warehouse was a steal. It feels really robust and strong. Easy to move but strong to stick in the excat same place.

    Really happy with this arm.

I’ve been using the dual arms to fit a 34″ ultrawide and a 27″ monitor side by side. So far, perfect item for my needs. Moving monitors around is significantly easier. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is basically a Ergotron LX dual monitor stand, rebadged as Amazon Basic – I currently own two of the single version, saw this at a ridiculous price of 42 so pulled the trigger instantly. Currently have 2x 27 inch monitor hanging off it – steady as a rock, no droop, smooth tilt, up/down and side to side. This has to be bargain of the year for me.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBuild quality and ease of use were fine, as expected, however this is not suitable for holding up a 49″ curved monitor as some reviews have suggest, the main issue was not weight by the center of mass being further forward due to the curve, overnight the screen would tilt down, product returned.

If you’re looking for a VESA mount monitor arm, buy this. Its an Ergotron that’ll last you a lifetime, support any reasonable monitor, give control and moveability and look good on the desk. Worth the expenditure any day of the week.

I was a bit unsure of this as it’s the Amazon basics brand, which I think does this stand a disservice. It appears this is a rebranded LG stand or made from the same or very similar spec and was previously being sold at a much higher cost. Really good stand, holds my LG ultra wide 34 with ease and is sturdy and also easy to move around. Getting it setup takes a little bit of work and the joints are stiff, but to be expected (I don’t want it to move around).

Great value, I just wish they wouldn’t slap Amazon basic logos on it (I sharpied them off).

I’ve never had a monitor arm before, but I’ve been aware for a long time that my posture while sitting at my computer desk wasn’t all that great – part of that being was not being able to position my monitor quite as I would like.

Due to a recent injury to my neck I’ve decided to address a few things in my day to day life that I feel affect my back, so after researching different monitor arms I decided to go with this one after reading the good reviews and also because it was not too expensive.

I set it up yesterday. The instructions aren’t all that great, although when do you ever get good instructions these days? But once I worked it out it was pretty much a doddle. The build quality of the product is outstanding I would say, and it supports my 27 inch monitor no problem. I didn’t really need to adjust all that much. The joints are a bit stiff out of the box, which you can adjust apparently, but I didn’t bother – I just moved the monitor into place. Once I did this I just tightened the hinges with the supplied allan key so that it didn’t swing about.

There is a slot for cable management which I haven’t used so I don’t know how good or useful that is.

All in all though, delighted with this product. Wish I’d bought one years ago!

    Great value for money

This is literally an Ergotron LX with an Amazon logo on it but without the brand tax. I have used a few cheap monitor arms over the years and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the only monitor mount you will ever need. I have mounted a Wacom Cintiq 22 and it holds this thing like a mother holding her child. I tried it out with my even heavier 32inch Asus monitor and it holds it up in any position exactly the same. If you are looking for an adjustable monitor arm don’t waste your time and money on cheap monitor arms and just get this one.

Well, this is 40 cheaper then the Ergotron LX, but is the same item. If you take the bracket from the G9 stand and drill out the Amazon Basics bracket and replace, it easily holds the g9.

5 stars as it performs over what is should.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIts a great product. Sturdy, comes with everything you need, looks great when in place. Excellent range of motion.

Definitely make sure you add a length of hardwood if you are using corregated cardboard desk (like most IKEA desks). This will spread the torque and stop the risk of a heavier monitor like mine (Alienware ultrawide 34″) from collapsing forward.

The smaller allen bolts are very stiff, and the included wrench is your run of the mill cheapy. I used my own which has added grip, so was able to loosen them without issue.

Fantastic product. Make sure your desk is up to the task!

I have a heavy asus 32″ rog swift monotor that weighs 9kg … this rebranded ergotron LX monitor arm is a breeze to use not a great range of motion compared to its more expensive cousin .. but for less than 80 in the UK and thats 60+ less than the OEM ..this is a bargain … had decent range of adjustment … and the table clamp can be adjusted for depth … or bolted directly through your desk with hardware supplied … good item that should last for decades and will no doubt outlive many monitors!

Had a hard time deciding between the Dell MSA20 monitor arm and this for my 38″ ultrawide Dell monitor. Went with this one as it offered next day delivery and it was nearly half the price of the Dell monitor arm. Can’t compare it to the Dell but this one does the job without issues. It lifts and comfortably holds the monitor roughly 7.5 inches from the desk. No issues with forward and backward movements.

Spent more than a few minutes wondering why it wouldn’t support the weight of my monitor and speakers despite being within the stated supported weight range. Instructions were no help with only vague illustrations as to what the adjustments were for. Eventually figured out what need adjusting to change the vertical spring pressure and now all is well. Good product let down by poor instructions.

This is a superb arm, as others have already mentioned, this is basically a rebadged Ergotron LX arm – it’s heavy, well made and super sturdy, very easy install and if you’re stuck, there are plenty of installation videos on YouTube showing what adjustments you can/need to do. I’m using it on a 32 inch monitor and it’s holding up the monitor really well. It’s locked into position and will just stay there, no droop what so ever. The arm is on the expensive end of the spectrum but considering it’s an LX arm, well worth it.

I bought this item couple of weeks ago for my 35 inch monitor and I am very pleased with the purchase. The product is predominantly metal so it feels very high quality and durable. The installation process was pretty simple although a installation manual would have made it even more simpler (it doesn’t come with a installation manual).

This is an excellent monitor arm that allows a great range of movement. It feels robust and secure with my 27 inch monitor. I bought a “used” one on Prime Day with a 30% discount, there was no obvious defect cosmetically. One of the bolts for adjusting the tilt was very tight but as it was I did not actually need to adjust that at all.

I’ve had this for just over a year now, I am using it for my 27″ Acer monitor which is listed as being 8KG. The adjustability is good and it seems very sturdy. I wasn’t able to use the main mounting points on the top and bottom of this product, so I am using the 4 smaller holes near the middle and then some other screws/mounts from a different mounting product (Corefix). There isn’t any mention of using these holes in the instructions so this would be done at your own risk, but mine hasn’t fallen off the wall yet.

Bought this over the Invision one due to better height range. It’s really well made and nicely packaged too. As others have pointed out it appears to be made by Ergotron so decent quality. I tend to always avoid included wall fixings as they rarely suit my needs. Rather than the two M8 bolts included I used 4 of my own 80mm Fischer duopower plugs which held it perfectly on dot and dab walls. About to order another one!

I purchased this as good condition, apart from the box having large white labels all over the product looks to be new, easy to install, that being said one of the fixing bolt/screws snapped off 3 quarters of the way in, luckily I had only drilled the one hole which is now hidden behind the bracket, my 32inch curved Samsung is perfect, it hadn’t tilted down unlike with some brackets claiming to hold 8kg weight, my monitors are just over 6kg, I purchased another bracket and recommended to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOne of my big concerns on this mount was would it hold up the weight of the monitor (Iiyama GB3466WQSU-B1). My monitor has a listed weight of 10.9KG and it holds it beautifully. It’s important to note there are tightening bolts which increase/decrease the weight resistance, so make sure if you’re having issues with the screen drifting from the position you place it, that those bolts are tight enough.

If you’re going for a full range of motion with these, you need ample space behind your desk. I just measured and they need to be 25cm from the wall behind. Mine was a pain to set up since they were so stiff, but I realised that its because they support the weight of the monitor. Once you eventually get them hooked up and use the allen keys to adjust the resistance they’re good. I have 2 different monitors and use them off center as I primarily use monitor one to play games, so I bought 2 of the indivual arms rather than the double. They are expensive I feel, but the build quality is quite good and I would say worth the money.

Good monitor stand with good range of motions. Metal construction is solid and it took me 10 minutes to mount it on the wall and now I have my desk back.
If you have limited space or you wod lime the monitor to go close to the wall.. I would recommend mounting the bracket at an offset as the swivelling mechanism will not go straight back so the monitor is skewed from the centre of the desk if pushed fully back (in the case where ypou mount it to wall in the centre of the table.)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ll let other people do the normal reviews and just say the things I want to say.

I bought this for four reasons:

    1) to improve my posture as I realised the monitor stand I had was too low even at its highest and was making me slump into my chair to be eye-level with the screen. Now with this thing, I’m being encouraged to sit up straight in my chair, which is good.

    2) to be able to rotate the entire monitor easily. This works brilliantly. The old monitor stand could sort-of do this but would get the cables all entangled. With this, it’s much easier to adjust any way I want.

    3) because if I own this, I don’t need to limit myself to buying a new monitor with an adjustable stand as this takes care of all of that, which frees me to focus on buying just the best monitor.

    4) I like bringing the monitor super-close to my eyes when I’m playing computer games. Now I can do this very easily whereas before I had to physically lift the entire monitor to bring it closer and I could only bring it so close without knocking the keyboard off my desk. Now I can give myself migraines by putting my face right into the screen!

The important thing I want to say about this product that I have not seen mentioned in recent reviews is that at the beginning, everything is very stiff, to the point where I thought it had to be broken. There seemed to be no adjustability or flexibility at all. It was a comment on YouTube about how “it is really hard to move right out of the box” that gave me hope. I carried on wrestling with it, giving up and then coming back to it. Eventually I did manage to get it loosened up and working. The instruction manual is not very good but you work it out yourself eventually.

There are only two screws you can adjust with the provided large Allen key. Turn those as much anti-clockwise as you can to loosen things up and then retighten a bit when everything is set up how you like it. Someone else on YouTube complained that the monitor attachment plate is “stuck facing the ceiling” and this was exactly what had me puzzled until I found that by using brute force, I was able to bring it down into its rightful position.

A good purchase then. It seems a bit expensive but I have to hope that means quality components and an arm that won’t just break off in the middle of the night.

Very well made, solid piece of kit that is built to last, with nice cable management to give a clean desk.
I had problem with one arm – tension could not be adjusted – but Amazon quickly sent me a replacment

    Points to note:
    1) I had hoped to mount this near to a wall – but it really limits placment of screens.
Luckily I have a window along wall, so was able to relocate on my desk, in order to get full range of movement. I would say min 20-30 cm of freespace at back to use effectively and align screens as required ( I have 2 dell 25″ screens).

    2) Also, I was worried as my desk has metal support beam underneath giving a depth of 75mm about whether G-clamp would fit and I didnt want to be drillling cutouts. Tip I flipped bottom of clamp upside down and it works fine!!

This is basically ergotron equivalent for 70 to 80 less which was my other option.

    Amazing arm for **most** monitors.
The arm is sturdy even for an Odessy G9.
The only problem is the tilt mechanism. This needs to be stronger. Even at full tension this slightly leans down over time. I have fixed it by putting the exact size Alan key between the two stopping points on the tilt mechanism and it gets me the perfect angle.

Great arm but **not** for Odessy G9 or any curved 49" without custom intervention.

Sturdy and quality feeling product. Works well with my two (24″ and 25″) monitors.

I keep the stand out of the way on the left side of my desk with the larger monitor directly in front of me in the centre of the desk and the smaller one to my left. I have seen other reviewers comment on how it doesn’t seem designed for monitors over 24″ but I’ve had no issues, although I do have one monitor oriented vertically. If I was using two >27″ monitors horizontally I can see that possibly being a problem, but I’ve not tested this.

I don’t know why this is almost 100. It’s good, but that price… I have some 20 wall mounts that are almost as good.

They should include some proper screws and plugs with this for the price too…

Due to the above, I used some spare screws with 10mm hex heads, but the 10mm socket fouls on the wall mount as you screw it tight so that was fun… not.

Buy some philips screws if you’re purchasing this!

This product is really fantastic considering the price. I’ve seen other arm stands on the internet that don’t look anything near as sturdy as this one.

I have an MSI Optix MAG341CQ which is a large and heavy 34inch ultrawidescreen monitor. The stands holds it effortlessly and allows for a full range of motion when moving it around. I keep my monitor in a neutral position when working at my desk, but then I like to move it around for watching movies or working out etc and the stand allows for this with complete ease. I will note for anyone with an MSI monitor, they don’t come with the required VESA bracket for this stand so you’ll have to buy that seperately. Most other monitors come with them, just MSI seem not to.

Installation was a little tricky due to the size of my monitor, but I got there eventually and once it’s on, you shouldn’t have to adjust it much apart from tightening a few of the screws to keep it secure. Some of the tightening points are a little fiddly to get to.

Overall, great product, built well and does the job perfectly. I can’t imagine going back to a conventional monitor stand after using this.

So far it seems to hold it no problem, moving the screen is easy and it makes my desk look nicer. no arguments here its a good stand.
I am a bit worried about my desk underneath where it holds onto, seems like alot of pressure to put on such a small space.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you are one of those who do not like reading manuals, you should start doing that with this product – read it carefully or else you will end up returning it.

The product is great and can be configured in any way. I’m using it for my 32-inch Samsung 4k monitor. Since it is a bit heavy, the monitor arm kept dropping so I was furious at first. If I had read the manual carefully I wouldn’t have missed the part where the vertical adjustment was described. Embarrassing for me, they pointed out the vertical adjustment part, but I could swear, that part was not there when I had a glance at it. So if it’s not working for you just like in some Youtube channels, don’t panic, just read the manual again and again or call amazon support.

I would recommend this to anyone because it is much cheaper than its competitors with similar features and quality.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersCan be a bit on the pricey side but the quality really makes up for it

I have an Acer Predator Z35P mounted on this which weighs just shy of 10KG without the stand, after adjusting the tension up high it holds it perfectly steady and is the easiest mount to assemble.

Manoeuvrability is great, even with this large heavy monitor I can just put it somewhere and it will happily stay.

Cheap mounts you’re lucky for it to hold up a light monitor and you have to loosen parts to adjust it to then tighten it again after. This thing needs none of that Once it’s in place, it’s not going anywhere unless you move it yourself.

I used a block of wood under mine in the clamp due to the design of my desk as the clamp didn’t sit well enough on the metal bar, it was slipping off and really the bar was too small so I would recommend getting a block of wood if your desk is like this and you want it to be more sturdy.

I checked out a couple of reviews who said it was great so I jumped in and purchased one. I have to say it’s excellent I am very happy with it. Once setup the balance is perfect I can move my screen around with 1 finger but there is lag or drooping or movement of any kind when I stop pushing the monitor is held perfectly still. Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve got this in a dual monitor setup with a 27″ 4k monitor and an old Dell 30″ monster. I was worried initially that it might not support the dell as it’s well over the stated weight limit – but it handles it with no problems whatsoever.

    Big wins:
    * Mostly easy maneuverability
    * Less clutter on desk / more space

    Downsides:
    * Really does need quite a bit of space at the back
    * Tilt forward / back is surprisingly stiff – my new 4k creaks a bit when doing it.

I was hoping that the wide split needed by both a 27″ and 30″ would mean I wouldn’t need that much space behind my desk. However with only about 4″ behind my desk, the closest I can get the monitors is a 3″ gap between them. Still happy, but not ideal. If you really want an ideal setup, two separate monitor arms might be better I think – then even with limited space behind you could swing the arm all the way to one side.

I bought this because my monitors default stand took up a fair bit of space on my desk, I ordered this in hopes of increasing the free space on my desk.

The stand had saved space on my desk and holds my monitor well (I was initially worried it might not have been able to) this is the monitor I use [ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017U8Z61W ]

Edit: A small part of me was worried that the mount might not be able to hold my monitor stably and keep it up as long as it has managed to, but it holds it exceptionally well and based on how its fared so far I have no worries about it. I would definitely recommend this.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe bracket arm was easy to install and is very sturdy, I use it with a 27inch 7.2Kg touchscreen and when typing on the screen there is hardly any monitor movement even when the arm is fully extended. I have set the 2 tension adjusting screws about halfway thus I presume the arm would handle much heavier monitors. Positioning the monitor is effortless and the monitor nearly always stays wherever you position it, I say nearly always as my monitor doesn’t stay in portrait , this is due to my vesa fixings being near the top of my monitor and thus when I turn the monitor to portrait the vesa fixings are to one side and the monitor drops one side in this portrait position, not an issue for me but I presume if the vesa fixings are central then this wouldn’t be an issue. Also not every monitor position is achievable, positions are dependant on the positions of the lower and upper arms, for example I can have my monitor flat High up but as I drop the upper arm I have to tilt the screen slightly, this isn’t a complaint just an observation – as the multi positions achieved with this arm far exceeds expectations, I now enjoy using the touchscreen monitor both seated and standing up. Another nice thing about this arm is just being able to push the monitor right back, lift up the arm and just enjoy the desk space I forgot I had, enjoy!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using this for well over a year now and it has been one of the best purchases for my studio I’ve made in a long time. I did a lot of research as my particular situation was quite particular. I needed a stand that could position the monitor about 6 inches forward and several inches lower than the desk mounting point. This did the trick perfectly!
It has a really smooth and sturdy motion, a really pleasingly high quality build and plenty of range in all directions.
It was the first ‘amazon basics’ product I’d heard of, let alone bought, so I was a little sceptical. But it’s anything but ‘basic’, and highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersThere’s no denying that this isn’t a cheap piece of kit compared to other stands out there, but you get what you pay for and this stand is easily holding a pair of 27 inch monitors for me (A Dell UltraSharp and a Samsung). Probably the weakest part of the setup is actually my desk which I’m hoping is strong enough to take the strain as it’s not an especially good one. However, the stand is doing a god job of holding the monitors pretty close to the same height as one another which is no mean feat seeing as Samsung, in their wisdom, decided to put the mount almost at the top of the monitor whereas Dell went for the more conventional middle of the unit.

One thing to note though is that if your desk is against a wall this will give you problems: The arms need room to hang over the back of your desk to get your monitors in the right position if you have larger monitors. If this is you (and I found this) then you might be better buying two individual stands as the arms can then be arrange in a more compact manner. It does cost a little more, but I do wish I had done this now.

Still, that should not detract from what is a really well made piece of kit and cheaper than the premium brands, despite being very similar to them. Just think about how the arms will fit in your space (see photos – excuse messy desk).

I have used this to mount a 27″ Dell monitor to the wall in our home office.

It comes with huge anchor bolts, and so is unlikely to come loose if fitted to a solid wall or into a stud.

The mount itself is quite heavy, which give a good impression that it is up to the job of handling heavy monitors, whilst providing a sturdy platform and a good range of adjustability to move your screen position once mounted to the wall.

Has some simple cable management features which is always a priority for me as I can’t stand to see cables dangling from behind my screens.

Overall, very pleased and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this mount.

This wall mount is great for value. Do not be off put being an amazon basics item. I have a multi art purpose digital work station where i have included a HP monitor along with a WACOM 24 HD Cintiq on a Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm (Wall mount) which I have bought previous. In order to upgrade the existing 360 degree monitor stand this was as a better option for durability rather than a fixed position monitor stand.

If you need the extra durability and play for use of a cintiq screen, The Ergontron seems to have a much sturdier design for safety and that it won’t fall off the wall and damage the monitor, whilst the Amazon Basics one is perfect for simple monitor use and to change position on your work station, but seems probably in hindsight not best used for a cintiq because of the upgraded strength mount of the ergotron.

I’m a bit gutted to say, but the amazon product is modular like the ergontron and cheaper than, but it is better quality than the Ergotron. Not only do they appear to be similar products- THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL except finish. You can actually use the ergontron extension arm ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006PYHYXG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) on the amazon basics mount to extend!!! Even the cable hideaway plastic strip/clips are exactly the same.

So all in all not suited for heavy durability for the big cintiqs, identical to the Ergontron products (except the mount fittings to the wall -amazon has less holes to mount to the wall surface), MODULAR like the ergotron mounts, BETTER quality than the ergotron for not only finish and no sharp aluminium cast edging (yes ergontron soft wires and a mettalic sharp mount do not mix and shred your cables inside of the arms).

Once again, in all great produc. Only wish is that amazon would sell some shorter arm extensions or extra arm extensions like ergotron do to create slightly more modular knuckle play.

It’s pretty great, definitely worth the money. But with two (kinda) drawbacks.

You need to mind the clearance behind them, on my setup I had to move my table about 20-30cm from the wall to not scratch the wall.

When disassembling them it was nearly impossible for me to undo the clip/plug that holds the stands in. There are plugs you put on to attach the arms to the base, but the only way to undo them is to reach your finger into a tiny hole and unclip the plugs. I read and followed the manual on how to do it.
But, because of the way it’s set up I had no leverage and spent a good 10 minutes trying. Fingers were hurting and close to bleeding when I finally managed it.
If the plugs were rotated 180 degrees it wouldn’t be an issue, because then I’d have had the leverage to push it with my finger.

I’m really pleased with this wall-mounted arm. I’m actually only using half of it (there is an optional extra extension piece that turned out not to be necessary for me). I have a 24″ BenQ widescreen monitor supported with ease, anchored in the wall to my study. The arm is very sturdy. Moving the monitor around is easy, and installation only took ten minutes. Word of advice – you will need a 10mm masonry bit, and a 13mm socket wrench. It took me a while to work out where to place the bracket, but in the end I figured out that the middle of the bracket needs to be approximately level with the base of where you want the monitor to rest.

    Definitely recommended.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersAfter initially searching the internet for a couple of hours to find a suitable monitor arm for my Predator x34 monitor, which weighs in at around 10kg without the monitor stand I decided to risk this option.

My main concern was the weight of my monitor vs the max load for this arm and after setting it up and mounting the monitor to the arm I must admit I was relieved to see it hold the monitor just fine.

It has very good flexibility and allows me to even position the arm fully extended without any bending or drooping.

My one suggestion for better peace of mind would be to have a slightly wider clamp / base to connect to the desk as it does seem like a lot of force being applied to a small area but as I mentioned so far no issues. I’m writing this review a few weeks after installing it too so it’s been tested.

I can add a video / photos of this arm with my X34 if anyone thinks it would be helpful for them to make a decision whether or not to get it.

Great monitor arm, very easy to setup and helped me clear a fair amount of desk space. The desk mount (clamp) is very solid, and I have no concern about it coming loose. Easy to move arms though the vertical tilt is a little bit still, but I’m gonna put that down to my second monitor being a bit flimsy as with my Dell U2515H it’s not a problem! The cable tidy solution is okay, the top part using cable ties is a little annoying, but nothing terrible. I’ve found the bottom cover alone to be enough so it’s not a real issue, just a niggle.

Overall very happy, and for the price compared to an Ergotron (appears to be the only comparable arm), very very happy. AmazonBasics always seems to satisfy my requirements and I would happily recommend this!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersAs far as I can tell, this is essentially a black Ergotron LX with an Amazon basics badge for over 20 less. The dimensions, weight/size limits, everything, except the colour, is exactly the same. On my desk its used next to an Ergotron MX which is a heavy duty arm without a pole mount designed for AIO PCs and larger/heavier/older monitors.

At the time of purchase the Ergotron is available on Amazon for 111.79 and this is 89.99. If you shop around you might find the Ergotron cheaper than on Amazon at a competing retailer, but I’m confident you wont find it cheaper than the AmazonBasics one which makes this a real bargain.

I used this with a HP ZR2440w (24″ 16:10 ~5KG) and I didn’t even have to adjust the tension settings, It was perfect right out of the box which suggests that the default position for the settings is around the middle of the min/max range. Everything is adjustable with the tools provided in the accessories package, so if you find the arm sagging or springing your monitor around there isnt anything to worry about.

Just like its bigger brother (the Ergo MX), the motion is smooth, build quality is excellent, accessories are exactly what’s required to mount this either via a bolt though the desk or the clamp for the edge of the desk. I used the clamp to allow me to adjust it at a later date.
A really nice feature of the VESA plate of these monitor arms is that you can pivot the monitor 90 degrees so that the monitor is Portrait. If you haven’t tried this before, I would highly recommend it for viewing documents and websites.

As this is an Ergo LX, there is a decent amount of additional accessories available such as laptop/tablet brackets, extra sections for longer reach arms (although the colour wont match) and VESA brackets that allow a mini PC or slim client to fit in-between the arm and the monitor.

I have previously used quite a few ‘budget’ monitor arms and have since learned my lesson. They are prone to breaking or not matching up to their specifications. Buy this and avoid any disappointment.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI managed to get the dual monitor model in a Lightning deal for 94.99. The build quality and packaging are both superb. The instructions are clear and concise and it is easy to assemble. I’m using mine a with a 27″ Dell 2713HM monitor as the main display and a 20″ Dell 2007FP to the left side. It took around 20 minutes to properly set the monitors up. Since My desk is hard against a wall I had to offset the base to the left. This allows the right hand arm holding the 27″ monitor to extend almost flat with very little backward protrusion. Initially there wasn’t enough tension in the arms to support the weight of either display. This was easily fixed with the enclosed Allen wrench.

At first I used the enclosed grub screws to lock the displays in a horizontal position. Once I’d set everything up, it turned out the displays were a fraction off level and there was a small amount of rotational play. I took the locking screws out and used the rotation to get the monitors level.

Now that I have been using them for a couple of days I realise how good they are. My monitors are 3″ higher which makes a lot of difference to my posture when working. I have a lot more desk space too with them raised up.

Great monitor arms that are definitely not basic

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersAs others have already stated, the build quality on this is superb. The parts that I though would be plastic (e.g. the base ‘cover’) are actually metal, and are finished rather well.

The weight and construction of this inspires confidence that it’s not going to let you down. I have two 28″ Acer monitors attached to this and it works beautifully.

Since the surface I’m using this on isn’t suited to the table clamp provided, I fashioned a large hardwood base out of European Walnut and used the ‘grommet’ style mounting option on that instead. This works well.

The only word of warning I have is regarding the clearance required behind the mount; If you have your table up against a wall (as I do), you may run into issues with the arms not having enough clearance to bend into position. With two 28″ monitors side-by-side, I found there was roughly 17cm of clearance needed behind the mount base (or table edge) to get them to meet in the middle, slightly forward of the mount base. Otherwise the arms hit the wall behind and the monitors cannot not be closed together.

I effectively have my stand mounted backwards to allow a reasonable monitor position. This is temporary until I get a better/proper desk.

If however your desk is fairly deep and you can afford to bring the monitors forward, this won’t pose a problem.

Great Product (But take care if you have your table up against a wall)

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersProbably the the best thing I’ve purchased this year (got it on a lightning deal for 107). Took ten minutes to install and gave me the opportunity to finally get around to tidying up the cable jungle under my desk; which is an added bonus.

You can either clamp it to your desk or use the supplied grommet mounting kit. And you will need 20-30cm clearance behind the base or you may find your displays is a bit too close for comfort. If you don’t have the space behind, an extension arm would probably solve that issue. As far as I can tell, this is an Ergotron LX (but half the price) so the extension arms you can buy for that will fit. Not sure you can buy them in black though…

The only snag I had was that one of my displays needs M4 8mm mounting bolts, and the supplied are M4 10mm so I had to pad it out with a few washers.

    All required tools are included.
