Eso s, si no ests ms fuerte que el vinagre, busca una ms fina o ms corta. Esta cuesta bastante moverla durante ms de 1 minuto seguido
Bought this item for our home gym, is the perfect addition. Had no issues with it unravelling but it is being used on gym matting and coiled to store.
Update after a year: it’s been working great. It will outlive me for sure. Yes, it’s a little ragged but I actually like it. It proves I’m using it. I have no regrets buying it.
Have been using for 6 months as a replacement for lack of exercise venues during lockdown. One of the best purchases I have made. Seems durable – have been using it at the local park 5x per week. Great workou
Cons:
1. Looks like it may twist in between. So please handle it with care, don’t roll it more often. As it can loosen the twist design. Fix it at one place and use it.
2. Choose ur size wisely you may get confused. But make sure you have enough space in your house.
3: doesn’t come with an anchor.
4. Doesn’t feel heavy even though I bought the heaviest one. But my strength level is more. As I am a regular lifter. And we do 100+ kg deadlifts. You can once see reviews on YouTube.
Pros:
1. Many reviews say it is hard., But the one i Recieved is soft. It doesn’t make too much of noise as I use it in first floor. Makes perfect waves.
2. Doesn’t affect the tiles of your house.
3. Neighbourhood crush will be yours by seeing your aesthetics and strength level. #kidding
PS: If you have pets, then tie them or keep them in cage while doing this, cuz it will hit hard and may seriously injure them.
Can’t comment on durability as I haven’t had it long but it seems like a great bit of ki
I should warn that if you have anyone that lives below you that these are pretty strong. They will make some noise just by moving it across the room and dropping it on the floor. If you’re working out with them and slamming them on the floor over and over, your neighbor might hear it depending on how thin the floor and their ceiling is. And depending on how cool your neighbor is if you’re just doing it for less than an hour a day, might want to keep that in mind. Maybe get those exercise padding floor things to lessen the noise impact for them.
The quality seems really good for the price. I’ve had no frays or anything like that, it’s stayed in one piece after a decent amount of use. The plastic handles also feel good in hand.
Amazon basics are really stepping it up with their equipment. Can recommend.
This item was sold at a discount due to some cosmetic imperfections. It arrived a little later than I expected, apparently due to issues with the post and customs. It is exactly as I expected and the cosmetic imperfections were hard to spot. It is an excellent piece of kit and exactly as described. Very happy with the purchase
Got this for my birthday and have been using it since. Great for any type of excercise.
I have no issues with the quality, durability, or functionality of the the product, which are all good. My plan was to use a dry-walled load-bearing beam in my basement workout room as the anchor. I loop it around the beam. It works, but not without creating friction and damage to the drywall. So I tried wrapping a workout towel between the rope and the beam, which helps with protection. The bigger issue for me, which again is not the product’s fault, is it’s a bit too heavy. Being new to this mode of exercise, I probably should have gone a bit lighter. But I was concerned with going too light and eventually not being challenged enough. Bottom line is I’m not currently using it as much as I expected or hoped I would, but if you have the right setup (and pick the right resistance) this should work for you.
Could tie a cruise ship to the harbour with this rope
I consider the qualifying factors: weight, diameter, quality of weave and quality of the cut ends/hand area.
Weight is good. These are heavy. Very very heavy. Be careful when ordering
Diameter – full 50mm
Weave – staring to fray in places after only a very short amount of use. Whether this deteriorates remains to be seen
Cut end quality – a nice rubberised heat shrink cap on the cut ends completes these nicely
Overall a very good battle rope, I just need to gain about 20kg of muscle to be able to get started
Very nicely built. It’s hard to grip but perhaps I should have bought the thinner version. It would be nice if it comes with a solution to make it portable in home use environment where I can’t leave it in garden due to changing weather.
The rope was quite stiff right out of the box and remains so evens after some use. The handles are also quite hard. I imagine the rope will get broken in eventually but I’m uncertain the grip area will soften – it’s hard. I find the hardness of the grip area makes holding the rope a bit awkward but I’m not sure if that’s something that I’ll adapt to or the rope grips will eventually conform to my hands.
The rope doesn’t come with an anchor and I think that’s unfortunate. It’ll run you about $15 to buy one and that makes me wonder if one of those other brands that comes with an anchor would have been a better choice. I should mention that I didn’t think the anchor was necessary until I looked it around my Smith machine and realized not having an anchor was going to wear out my new battle ropes in quick fashion.
My advice: get an anchor if you buy this rope or buy a rope that includes an anchor. The lack of an included anchor and the stiffness were my only complaints and that’s why I took a star off. I think it’s a good rope and I’m glad I bought it.
I opted for this cheaper rope (I use a Rogue at the gym but I wanted a rope at home to use on off days). I usually buy quality (buy once, cry once) but for this I decided not to since it’s just a Big Friggin Rope and I wasn’t positive I would use it a ton.
This rope is supple and really heavy. I’m used to a 1.5 rope, but decided to buy the 2″ and OMFG the increased diameter makes sets brutal.
I strongly suspect this rope will fray pretty hard over time (the strands are VERY soft), especially since I use it outside for the most part. I’m not worried though because if I use it enough to wear it out, I’ll be able to justify the price for a higher quality jacketed rope.
So what’s the caveat? The rope came to me with a number of snagged threads. There’s already a photo here in Enj79’s review, so check that out if you’re curious. Mine looks exactly like hers, so I’m guessing it’s not a super unusual issue.
But I honestly don’t really care it’s just a big friggin rope, and so far it hasn’t exploded or anything.
