I’ve been using for atleast an year. It works fine and never ever had any troubles. Remote’s built quality is also great as it fell down many times from my hand but still works fine. I bought it for 45 including 3 years added warranty/insurance cover. Highly recommend
The fan comes with 3 adjustable speed settings, is remote control. Just makes it easy to operate it after one is tucked in bed. IYKYK.
This is a replacement fan as I am in the process of sending initial fan received back. The reason is that in assembling this one, it was found that the assembly instructions on page 8 I believe contain an error. It says that the small blade (D) should be tightened by turning it in a CLOCKWISE direction. Not so, it is tightened by turning it in an ANTI-CLOCKWISE direction. Please make instructions clearer, I am certain if I had known that, I would have been OK on 1st fan received and not logged it as faulty. This is also for the benefit of other purchasers.
What can I say, it’s a fan, and it works.
Took just a few minutes to assemble. The longest part was alligning the front grill.
In fact it took longer to unwrap than assemble!
To those who had trouble with the small fan, it’s a left hand thread as stated in the manual!
The fan is good enough. The remote isn’t, we’ll be throwing it away unless I discover I’ve been using it wrong. The base is sturdy enough so the machine isn’t top-heavy. But it takes up q big square of floor space.
The packaging is easy to remove, but a bit overdone with clingwrap protecting the shiny plastic.
I bought this in preparation for what looks to be a very hot summer in the UK. It’s great value for money, easy to assemble, and the remote control is simple and effective. And it keeps the mozzies off at night.
Highly recommended.
certainly has plenty of blow even on speed 1,
I just use on normal setting as I feel the other options annoying when it speeds up and slows down. I wasnt overly fussed about the remote but now I have it it is handy to have, good weight to the base so wont tip over easily if knocked
would I reccomend ? YES I would
it can be a bit loud at speeds 5+, but i may have needed to tighten the blades a bit more. very easy & satisfying assembly. the base is quite broad, needs a good bit of space. i don’t find the “sleep” and “nature” modes add much, but the oscillation is great and the timer helpful.
Bit more expensive than I expected for amazon basic 16in pedestal fan, and I’d prefer the basic 3 speed buttons vs the remote, but noise and airflow is what matters and this thing is quiet and pushes a lot of air.
Super fan (white 12 speed). Night mode is super quiet, and top speed is a great blast. Seems to be well made. Two niggles:
1. Amazon advertises this fan as if there is an identical, cheaper (black) alternative, when it’s actually a far inferior fan with only 3 speeds. The white is definitely the one to go for.
2. Instruction manual is very poor, with not enough information on operation. Doesn’t tell you that on night mode, fan pulses at high velocity for many cycles before settling into whisper quiet rhythm. This isn’t a problem but you have to work it out for yourself
Well it’s still early days as only been using for 48hrs but this fan is amazing definitely best I have ever purchased the timer is great to have especially at night time then it’s not left on all night once u fall asleep also another reason for purchasing this fan was the wattage was half compared to others which makes it cheaper to run with the price of electricity at the mome
I am amazement qmat the product it is really worth the money and delivers fantastically as a product
I would have given five star but dropped down to four as the first thing I had ro do was glue a broken base as seen in one photo. But that is my only complaint as somewhere from being sent out to delivery box got bashed and fan base damaged, otherwise it is really brilliant and would recommend.
i am so impressed with this fan. I needed a fan to help keep me cool enough to sleep. I had a pedestal fan whic was good, but had no remote control or time so although it was good at cooling, it was not ideal at night.
This Fan is amazing! I have used it at night on one of its lowest settings, so no noise at all, and it has cooled me as if it was a natural breeze – so gentle! No sound, bo feeling of being blasted by a fan. Just gentle, comfortable sleep!!
If you want the faster settings for rapid cooling, it has that, but I did not realise that the gentle cooling this provides was so efficient.
Highly recommend.
Great product. Quiet and pretty powerful. However, knocking off a star because the instructions say (at Step 5) you should tighten the small blade (D) by turning it in a clockwise direction. It’s actually anti-clockwise, so don’t waste time fiddling about with it if you can’t screw that small fan on.
I’m happy with my purchase. The build is robust and it’s very stable on the stand. Easy to assemble and delivers a good amount of cool air. I didn’t think I would need a remote control for a fan but it’s actually useful. I can’t understand what all the complaints about it making a beep when pushing a button on the remote is all about. Yes, it does beep but it isn’t loud or snni, it just confirms that the signal has reached the fan. How else are you going to know? Other complaints are about the remote not working. You do have to point it directly at the fan to get it to work
Mine does work, it’s just that sometimes I don’t aim properly. It’s a good buy! The only thing nighled me a bit at first, was the Amazon Basics logo. But I don’t even notice it now.
It’s a solid fan and the remote is a nice touch.
My only gripe is it forgets your settings and defaults back to “Low speed” and “No oscillation” whenever you press Off/On from either the main unit or the remote.
It’s bit meh especially if you have a preference for how you use it e.g. Oscillate + Max speed. It’s still connected to power so they defo could have tried to preserve your settings.
Also the remote is IR based instead of RF, so you do have point it at the main unit.
This is just a minor wrinkle and overall I’m happy.
There’s nothing “basic” about this fan. The build quality is high end and outshines more expensive models. The remote control operation is really responsive and the timer is really useful as if you’re the sort of person who likes to fall asleep on a muggy night with the fan on you can set it to run for a couple of hours (or any period between 30 mins and 7 and a half hours) and therefore dont have to have the fan running all night. Love the way that the bright red display lights turn off after about 10
seconds which is great if the fan is in the bedroom at night as a previous (much more expensive) fan didn’t have this function and lit the room up. Runs quiet too which is an advantage for light sleepers. Really can’t fault this item, would recommend it to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.
At time of review this cost 52.79, we brought 2, and day later got another one for our friend.
Daughter brought 2 last January, cost back then was 25 each
But we like them because of the base, flat weighted, so no fear of us or the dogs tripping over them.
Also, it’s a nice size fan, with 3 speeds and different modes. One is like the breeze moving through trees.
I even recommended them to my 90+ friend who needed a new fan ready for Summer.
She too likes the base, she can’t see well and fell over the normal style fan base several times last year.
The only thing that could do with an upgrade is the remote. I’m taking one of mine to her as hers doesn’t want to work, even though we’ve changed the batteries.
She’s finding it hard to press the buttons and for it to respond. She has bad arthritis in her fingers. But I’ve told her and written in BIG letters in the instruction book, how to use the buttons on the fan itself.
But I’ll recommend these fans, in black, white ones are more expensive.
Pros.
So so quiet on the lower setting, I snore louder than this fan that’s for sure so guessing that’s a real good description of how quiet this fan is.
I am not being blown away, the low levels are a gentle breeze no need to glue or tie down your precious objects, pets and children… and wonderful, higher levels are just as good , just remember to remove objects, pets and children as don’t recommend gluing or tying those down either haha,
Not at all loud even on higher tornado settings
oscillating is nice and smooth, no juddering like a wrongly loaded washing machine.
Base is heavy so no need for weighting down and fan stays in the same place.
Not too keen on the remote but it’s basic and will do it’s job, shame its so ugly,
They took a decent style fan, plastered Amazon advertising right in the centre of it just in case we forgot where we purchased it from I am guessing, was hoping it might have been a sticker but alas, not the case still purchase with that on was my choice so no down vote on that.
Cons… Was not cheap
