The phone looks good and the buttons are big enough for easy use by the elderly, the phone however was not as loud as I was hoping, my mum is very hard of hearing, even with hearing aids, and was no louder than her existing BT normal landline. For someone elderly it is a good phone, unfortunately not suitable for my mum
The phone works well and comes with well written instructions
Signal strength isn’t great with obstacles – a single skin brick wall was enough to reduce the range to a fraction of what they advertise so we had to place the base station in a weird place to get a signal in a wooden outbuilding that was no problem for the previous Panasonic phone we had. On the plus side it’s been good for an elderly relative because of the big buttons and reasonably simple interface, and the volume boost for hard of hearing makes a big difference.

Disappointed with sound quality, callers voices were muffled, not as distinct as my old phone.
Instructions were too detailed and complicated. I just wanted a simple landline with basic functions.

Overall good phone with a sound boost for someone who is hard of hearing. Buttons and display characters good size.
Prominent call block button a bit of a problem and can be accidentally pressed.
A more mature user found the time out of menu display options a bit fustrating, hesitating for a few seconds means the display reverts to the home screen and you have to start the process again.
I bought these for my dad as he is hard of hearing. The volume controls make it so much easier to have a conversation with him.
The phone was excellent, but it’s difficult to use if you have arthritis ..such a shame

Bought these for my 96year old mum who is deaf. The large buttons are great and they’re hearing aid compatible. She loves them.

3. necessary to read booklet prior to installation and also after charging/installing equipment- important
4. learning curve- allow a couple of days to inwardly digest and fully understand the facilities available-important
5. sound quality -on maximum setting for base set (BS) should be better-Needs action
6. as product is sold as a BT item- should have facility to easily transfer phone book from other BT phones- action needed
7. overall worthwhile and hope that increased volume provided satisfies the reason for purchasing this item
Good phones but given these are purchased for the hard of hearing etc the amplified ear volume button should be on all the time so the less hard of hearing can turn the amplification off when req.
In operation these are excellent for people like us with poor hearing. However the instructions to set up the DECT extension were confusing and I telephoned the support line where the automated voice was excellent but the ‘live’ person had a very soft voice – this is a company selling equipment for the hard of hearing! My problems were resolved but I pointed out that the written instructions were by no means as ‘obvious’ as she had stated.
The big buttons, volume, Ringer, Answering machine and hearing aid compatibility all.are all fantastic. The only down side if you can call it that is for the elderly all the options it has becomes a little overwhelming.
I bought these phones for my elderly mother who is hard of hearing. They are really good the sound quality is loud and they have volume control and my mum can now chat to her family and friends. I can honestly highly recommend them.
