Perfect match for Monitor 32 inch.
Good quality screen (after few adjustments is really nice).
Personally I use it more often than iiyama G-master (my gaming monitor).
Quality is not great as it shouldn’t be for this price range, however, it has reliably served me for year with minor hiccups every other day where the screen turns off and back on within second.
Using two of these as office computer. Easy on the eye and plenty large to fit a lot on the screen. If included wires would be a little longer it would be easier to wire in to the computer and the mains
I love AOC monitors I have several and they’ve never let me down. Two of them are 10 years old! This 4K one I already owned, but then noticed they were selling them off quite cheap (for a 4k) presumably because it’s an older model and something new is coming in to replace it, so I jumped at the chance to get another one. I’m not a graphic designer or artist so if there are issues with the colour tints etc. then I wouldn’t even notice, it all looks fine to me. I am a programmer and spend 8 hours a day in front of one of these and it doesn’t give me any headaches or eye strain. Text is pin-sharp. No dead pixels (remember when that was a thing?)
Excellent screen resolution and easy to set up, ideal for WFH office.
Great cheap 4 k Monitor for working from home, works well with our macs
Bought as an upgrade for use with design software. Very impressed and with pip can have 2 inputs displayed at once
Had a dead pixel out of the box. It’s too wide for my liking. Thought I was doing the right thing getting a wide monitor, wish I’d gone for something less.
Bought this monitor as it looked good for the price with a good selection of inputs. Have since bought a second one as the extra screen space it gives over full HD is awesome. Cant comment on gaming as i use it for programming but otherwise the screen and picture quality is good
Klare kaufempfehlung
Brought 2 for my boys they are very happy
Only downside is no remote but apart from that
They are worth the money
Trying to plug it into Macbook Pro via hdmi and it does not work. The constant black screen and the Macbook keeps refreshing like I’d trying to connect. Have tried multiple HDMI’s even exchanged the monitor but still not luck. Plugged my Macbook into a TV monitor. Works absolutely fine.
Edit: So AOC was ok for support but spoke to Apple and realised it was an error on the Macbook’s side to do with Windows Server. Got that sorted and now happy with the display. For software development it’s great as 4k I don’t think is necessary but it’s better than 1080p. Lot’s of space for work.
This is a really good display for the price. The only negative is the high frequency noise which is often notable from the screen’s switch mode power supply.
The screen is a good size for both work and gaming. You can get almost everything you need on the one screen. Might be cheaper elsewhere mind.
Prefect productivity monitor, but not for gaming. But, hey. That suits me fine! Refresh rate is quite low but i needed a4k monitor with a sharp picture for coding and office apps. This is the perfect partner to my Mac and as whole load cheaper than anything Apple offer. Would definitely get a second one if I had the space for two of them.
I really like it. I don’t have the technical knowledge to provide in-depth picture quality analysis, but I’m running Elite Dangerous at 2560 x 1440 and 75Hz and it looks pretty damn good to me. For those interested in fine-tuning their picture, there is calibration software provided in a cd.
I can’t comment on the stand aside from it looking well made. I have mine fixed to a heavyweight VESA support, and it’s having no problem with it – it’s not heavy by large monitor standards.
The only letdown is the scarcity of connection ports – 1 HDMI and one Display Port, and that’s it. Not a crippling issue by any means, and I am happy with less ports ikn exchange for good build and picture quality.
The controls are helpfully on the front, and easy to use, and the cables mount vertically down quite high in the back, so your cabling won’t be too obvious.
I purchased this as a monitor to work from home, so won’t comment on gaming etc.
This monitor is excellent and the picture quality is great. The ultra wide aspect of the monitor makes working from home so much better, espeically if you are like me and need multiple windows open at once. Additionally I think the monitor looks really great and it has built in speakers (something a lot of these monitors are missing).
I would suggest before you do buy this monitor you double check your PC/ graphics card can support ultra wide (you should be fine unless your PC/ graphics card is old).
100% recommend for working from home.
I wish the screen could show two inputs from two PC’s without having to buy extra hardware to switch between the computers .
Ottimo monitor.
Come va?
Just got the monitor today wow ! ! I really love this Monitor Checked it over and – no dead pixels
I have a 27 inch 16/9 for the past 9 years which is still working good – But am getting a new computer so wanted to go – 2 screens –
Buy this monitor – you won’t be disappointed – It’s great for split screen working –
I recommend this screen .
Not much to say apart from great value and very excellent monitor just compare the price and specs with other well known brands, don’t expect this to work out of the box the monitor will need its drivers installed before it will work correctly, windows drivers are not good enough you will have display issues (Download or use the disc provided) The software to set up the various colour options also works well. Top Value.
Already got one of these and knew the quality was fine for what I wanted. Just one word of warning, and this is not the fault of the monitor, Macs with retina displays allow you to adjust the size of the text on the screen; those without are fully compatible with the 4K screen, but you can’t magnify the size of the text, just drop the resolution to make the text bigger.
After a great deal of research, I settled on the AOC 28 Inch 4K LED Monitor. After using the monitor for a couple of years, it has its positives and negatives:
Positives:
– The monitor provides a sharp display (when running in 1440p)
– It’s a good option for both the hardcore & casual gamer
– Looks particularly impressive on the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch
– Great choice for video editing
– Strong range of inputs — DVI, VGA, DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 & 3.5 mm jack plug
– Aesthetically pleasing with a black colour and glossy finish
– HDMI cable included.
Negatives:
– This is not a cheap option if you have a fixed budget (but the monitor is slightly reduced in price since I purchased it)
– Monitor does not swivel and tends to wobble slightly
– The screen does not seem to block out natural light as well as I hoped it would
– Does not come with built-in speakers
– Collects a great deal of dust — be prepared to clean often!
The monitor does not have a vesa mount the description is wrong but there is an adapter out there that works very well and easy to set up ….the monitor is ok …it’s a tn you won’t be amazed but i use it as a secondary monitor for editing and it does a cracking job in portrait mode …I’m yet to test it games but I reckon it should be ok …easy to adjust settings as well
What can I say, I was initially dubious about this reading so many negative things about it on the web but equally reading so many good things, what was the truth? The truth probably comes down to taste — some folk just don’t like TN panels and some do. So what’s the issue? TN panels have a poor field of view, i.e. if looking at them from any other angle than straight on results in the image looking a bit off, things become washed out. However if you are sitting pretty much straight on then they are fine! Generally TN panels have a faster response time when comparing to IPS, unless you buy a really expensive one.
Now that’s out the way all I can say is this one good monitor, just what you would expect from a 4K screen – razor sharp visuals and great colour reproduction thanks to its 10-bit panel. I really can’t fault it, some reviewers complained about the buttons under the screen but they are fine!
I’ve also done light gaming with my XBOX controller plugged in and didn’t experience any input lag (this was over HDMI 2.0).
If you’re an IPS lover then it’s maybe not for you, if you don’t mind TN panels then you’re going to love this!
This is an amazing deal plane and simple. With 1 day tracked shipping with Amazon logistics it came to about 285. That is amazing. If you look at other more “Well known” brands like LG or Samsung you are paying up to and well over 300.
Positives
Stunning 4K- The 4K on this monitor is outstanding and easily keeps up with 300+ monitors (I know I also have a Samsung LU28E590DS) Honestly I feel stupid for spending so much money on that monitor when I could of bought 2 of these and saved myself some money with no effect on quality.
Colour- Once again the colour on this monitor is outstanding and once again keeps up with monitors out of its price range. Fantastic.
Design- The monitor has a very nice sleek design (subject to opinion) the ports are easy to get to and well spaced out, and very easy to “plug and play”
Comes with cables!!!- It was a great surprise when I opened the box and found complimentary cables. Many fail to do this, it comes with 1xHDMI cable 1xDP cable 1xVGA cable
Negatives
There are a few little negatives with this monitor, like there is any product but they are quite small and I still stand by the 5 star rating
The buttons- The control buttons are not very good. They are hard to get to and the feel cheep, however i doubt many will go back into the settings after setting it up when they first get it, and simply turning on and off is not hard
Fitting the stand- Fitting the stand was a challenge, and took me a while to get it right, however once it is on its stable and works well. Once again not many people are going to take the stand off after original purchase.
Not fully metal stand- It would of been nice if the stand was fully metal. Unfortunately only the bottom is, however just from looking at it the top looks very very much like a brushed metal and could easily pass for it, however the plastic used is very good quality. I also think I should mention that this in my eyes is 100% forgivable seeing as this is a 275 4K monitor.
Overall
Put it this way, if anyone ever asked me on advice on buying a 4K monitor the AOC U2878VF would be my suggestion in a heart beat. It keeps up and even out preforms top end 4k monitors in some regards.
As for the negatives the buttons and the stand fitting are really one time problems on first set up, and as for the quality of the stand I think its understandable that this price point. And I will stress, its not low quality, just not super high quality.
Thanks for reading 5 STARS FROM ME.
Solid construction with only irritation being the fitting of the base. At first I didn’t realise that there is a lip on the foot and so the monitor was precarious. It was also very hard to fit into the slot. Once I discovered that, the screen was stable on the base and able to be tilted. Excellent luminance, and it worked pretty much out of the box, however the driver supplied on the CD didn’t match the model number of the monitor. I contacted their tech support who told me if the monitor was working then it didn’t need a special driver – and they agreed it was odd that the driver on their CD supplied didn’t match the product. There is no paper manual supplied, and you have to hunt round quite a bit to find the PDF. Most of the documentation OK, except for the driver issue. The other issue is the display function buttons under the right hand side of the monitor, which are documented (sort of) in the manual. Their function isn’t that clear from the nearly invisible function icons, and the behaviour is counterintuitive. Also the cable from the power supply is too short to allow you to leave it on the floor, so you risk damaging it if the ps drops to the floor by accident.
The four connection protocols (VGA, Dual DVI, HDMI, DP1.4) all work perfectly and cables are supplied for all except the DVI. I am very happy with the performance and style of the monitor, but the setting up is unnecessarily complex.
There are slight niggles, but on the whole it’s okay.
The viewing angles are worse than the Asus I was using previously.
There is a separate power brick to knock onto the floor, and the lead from that to the monitor isn’t quite long enough to reach from the ground to the monitor.
The colour of some heading banners changes from dark green to something paler and fuzzier while scrolling, I’ve seen it before with monitors, not this extreme, but this isn’t terrible.
The stand only tilts, it doesn’t swivel or pivot, but when the charge for that is 50, I don’t really need pivoting or swiveling that much.
All in all great for the price, but if you have more money to spend, you might get something better.
