I went for the lowest specs because of the price. I enjoy the Chromebook but I would say if you can afford to pay more then go for better specs
I use this beast for all my office work and do not miss Windows at all.
The processor is really snappy and it handles multitasking effortlessly. The touchscreen and track pad are super responsive and it feels very premium.
Solid metal body but compact and lightweight.
Resolution could be higher but I find most content looks great.
Being fan-less you may find prolonged video editing will warm things up a little… But a cooling stand really compensates well. You won’t needv this unless you’re really pushing the i7 chipset with some serious demand. It’s cool as a cucumber with standard use.
Tablet mode is great for art work and taking notes with a USI pen. The built in pen is okay for brief use but has short battery life so maybe pick up the latest from Penoval…I find it works well with this machine.
It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it so far and at the knock down price it’s well worth the spend.
It stops receiving updates in 2029 but that’s plenty of use!
I’d say try it… It’s brilliant.
It is too soon to give a meaningful review but screen looks good and keys seem fine.
Touch screen also appears fine. Battery life is good and charging is pretty quick.
Now that I have the replacement model and it works flawlessly but the sound coming from the Harman Kardon speakers sounds far too tinny (not enough base) and quiet. Just search for a Volume Master chrome extension to bump up the sound on WebApps.
The laptop feels sturdy and quick, the 360 Flip screen is such a great feature it looks great driving external monitors , keyboard and mouse.
Sound and screen are probably not best available but are still very good.
The combination of components ensures it will be valuabl
It is a laptop and a tablet …you can write on it with a pencil to make notes or for drawing
It’s a very good large screen chromebook. I was using Pixelbook Go before CX5 and was a little bit worried since PBG is really well built but no worries there. If I would add something, I’d add a bit brighter screen (perfectly fine in everyday situations but would like to make it brigther in well lit situations) and then a bit better battery . If you think what you get with this price, it’s just a very very good chromebook. Recommend when you need 15.6 screen!
