We put these on our deck, have 3 sets of stairs to prevent our dog from escaping. Work wonderfully and did not remove during our Canadian winter and they have withstood very well
Instructions were easy to follow and it was super easy to install. The brackets had sticky backs so you could stick them to the wall for hands free application and to ensure correct positioning before permanently attaching it. No need for a “helper” when installing. We put it at the top of the stairs to our deck so our cats could lounge on the deck without being visited by my neighbours black lab. Kept the dog out and cats in. Should work when grand kids visit as well. I like that you can easily take the gate off the brackets and bring it inside.
Using this for my stairs to keep kids and dogs down. Great gate so far even with kids pulling on it. And dogs claws jumping on it. Wish I could purchase more hardware. Was super easy to install.
I use it outdoors on the deck. Helps keep the toddler on the deck, same with the dog! No need to worry if she runs out of the house. Keeps me from having to bring a baby on a dog hunt haha

I got this gate for my puppy. It is perfect. It serves the purpose. It was easy to install. It is simple to use! It is for indoor and outdoor use. My dog can see through it, so he does not feel confined.
We are using this at the bottom of our stairs and it works great! Just installed a week or so ago – a lot of reviews say easy on installation but I wouldn’t totally agree – needed to go out and buy longer screws to install properly.
I find that it does its job well. We have it across our hallway, to ‘deter the temptation’ of our dogs running out through the front door any time it’s opened. Its low positioned gate loops for the wall hooks seem to ensure that the gate is sturdy enough when ‘locked’. We also found it easier to use if the wall hooks are facing our front door as opposed to away from it, to save having to lean over to reach the lower hook once extended, prior to opening our front door. Care does need to be taken once unhooked as it does hold a fair bit of tension and it can easily fail to retract evenly if it’s just let go. We’re very pleased with it, it’s the right length, it’s been a godsend and doesn’t seem to freak out the dogs. I have already recommended it to friends.
I brought this for the hallway, it would have been able to find a stair gate big enough. This looks neat and tidy when not in use and keeps my dogs away from the front door when I need it. It has worn well and we have no issues whatsoever with it.

I had a stair gate at the top of my stairs but it was so annoying as there was not much room and the gate was forever in the way and you had to shimmy past it when opened so you could go through and close it again. This however folds away so is saving soo much hassle. Was easy enough to put up too, would recommend
This is a great way to keep my son and cats inside the gate.
My gate comes with bars placed away from each other.
Hence my cat and son usually slide in between the bars and roam outside.
Installation was easy since it comes with the necessary instructions and accessories which is quite handy to install.
It looks robust and very good quality, and is easy to open and close, my son try to open but he is unable which is great. If we are not using can roll.
Perfect for babies to keep them in safe place especially from stairs. I would definitely recommend this gate.
Thus, stairgates are a necessity both top and bottom and up until now we have always used the steel gate type which work but are fairly ugly and unwieldy to deal with. This gate solves those problems and frankly, its the best gate I’ve seen/’used as a parent and grandparent.
Basically, it’s a horizontal roller made from sturdy material that rolls away when not in use. If you really want to be clear you can even lift the roller unit off the slim wall mounts. We don’t because it doesn’t offend us and it is really out of the way when not in use.
To use, simply pull across the opening and then hook onto the cleats on the other side of the stairs or door. Then twist the top lock to prevent the roller from turning and hey presto! Security for your small people.
If there is a downside its the fact that you need to mount wall brackets either side of whichever opening you use this on. I don’t have an issue with this and when we are finished with toddler grandchildren I’ll remove the brackets and fill the plug holes up. It’s a small price to pay for the ease of use.
Overall? Fantastic bit of kit.
I am really impressed from this retractable gate.
It is really good quality and pretty long – about 55 inch/140cm.
It is also fairly tall,about 33 inch/86cm, and taller that the other gate that we have.
This gate is really easy to install and comes with a nice set of wall plugs and screws ,which is good.
The gate is retractable and has a pretty strong spring that is retracting the mesh back.
The gate has lock/unlock pull up and rotate mechanism,which when unlocked,you can pull the mesh to extend it and hang it on the 2 hooks.
Then you need to lock the gate to stop it from extending so it is not going to extend when your kid put hands on it.
When locked the gate the spring that retracts the gate keeps pulling back all the time so if you have locked the gate in a loose position the spring will still pull it back to get it tight,but it will not let it extend again until you unlock the gate.
The gate is priced at 46.99 at the moment with the option to apply 3 voucher.
Both with and without the voucher the price is pretty good for a gate that is 140cm long and you can always retract it completely ,while other metal gates are able to only open a door,which is not the full width of the gate.

This is great upgrade to solid gate with bars especially if using for pets as my cats would squeeze through bars and my granddaughter would try and follow them.Simple to fit and I like has no bottom bar, if I had a penny for everytime tripped on bottom bar of metal gate I’d be rich woman .Simple to open and can be done with one hand and retracts out of way when not needed.Simple to fit and reasonably priced
Retractable Stair Gate.
This gives you ‘the best of both worlds’ a sturdy gate, that folds neatly out of the way. The gate can be opened with one hand which is perfect. I particularly like how this style of stair gate doesn’t have a bottom rail. I always found the bottom rail to be a dangerous trip hazard. Probably not a deal breaker, but I think the grey colour is really modern looking too. Overall a sturdy stair gate, definitely recommended.
Now I haven’t put this up properly but I went through the steps of how to do it. I was hoping this would replace an existing one but I need to drill new holes but I hope I’ve helped anyway.
Firstly this arrived nicely packaged and the plastic and product looked and felt very good quality.
You only need basic DIY skills like drilling holes and tightening screws. The rest is very easy to put together. The spring mechanism is really strong. The lock system on the top is easy to operate. You lift up to turn one way and just turn to go the other way and it’s clearly labelled lock and unlock.
There is sticky adhesive on the wall brackets but not necessarily needed if your screws are in good. Included are metal wall plugs if required. I liked that the brackets moved up or down so you can adjust the position just right. The handle brackets were easy to fit.
Now the finished position isn’t the best in my photos as I’m mainly holding it in place but you can see how it will look. I really liked it and it let the light shine through it. It isn’t as ugly and complicated to open as the metal ones and obviously doesn’t take up so much space. I can’t comment on value for money as it’s currently unavailable but I’m happy to recommend going on how it looks, feels, ease of installation and quality. I hope my photos have helped
Fairly easy to install. I use this to block my dog from going into the bedroom. The colour blends very well with my walls, gate seems sturdy. So far no complaints, and nothing is broken.
