This is the best dock I’ve used at the low $100. Most don’t work as smoothly or easily integrate.

I have had this for almost an year. It was great value for money for supporting 2(two) 4K monitors. I had searched a lot and there was nothing available at this price. To that extent this is good.
    BUT ..2 issues
    1) It’s a bit wonky and sometimes doesn’t recognise the signal & I don’t see anything in the monitorso I have to reboot the windows machine. It’s happened sufficient number of times that it does bother me.
    2) the rigid short cable that connect to the laptop invariable gets disturbed if the machine moves just even a bit and that has resulted in the usb-c port on the machine becoming loose ie again sometimes it just doesn’t connect and I have to fiddle with it which is not good for the port.

Otherwise, it seems to work wellI use it both for my Dell XPS and now mostly for my Mac Mini M1(it will stay on it from now on)

I need, like, 3 more inches of cord to be able to have this to sit squarely under my laptop riser while also reaching the port and having a usb plugged into the back. It’s just my setup, of course, but I remember reading before I bought it that other people said similar things and I have to agree.
Otherwise, it works as intended. I can plug in all the peripherals that I need, plus an ethernet cable, into my on-the-left-two-port-only MacBook.

I use this with an M1 Macbook Air to connect a charger, 4K HDMI monitor, and USB keyboard and mouse when I am at home. Its been in more or less constant use for 14 months now and works great.

This is a decent, compact hub that makes my MacBook Air 2020 more usable*.
The cost seems astronomical for what it is, but Belkin is always good quality.
It’s a bit like having a desktop “hub” – you can easily “dock” with one USB Type C cable.
The packaging for mine was very minimal – a plain brown box with a small white label on it.
    Overall I recommend the F4U110bt.

    UPDATE:
*I’ve noticed it doesn’t doesn’t give you any (extra) USB Type-C ports
    Reducing my rating to 3*
Also, the price seems ridiculously high for a USB hub? Sure, Belkin are very good quality but I still don’t understand it.

I will do more investigation. If it transpires that it’s doing special stuff then I will increase my rating to 4*. But as of now I cannot recommend it.

    UPDATE 2:
    ========
What’s confusing to me is that this says “does not support USB-C laptops”.. but thunderbolt 3 is the exact same shape as USB Type-C.
    * It seems like the special thing this device does is Thunderbolt – “WORLD’S FIRST THUNDERBOLT-CERTIFIED DUAL-POWERED DOCK”
    * It supports dual 4K UHD displays @ 60Hz
    * “this dock is a streamlined way to create an expanded, high-performing desktop through a single tethered cable”

    UPDATE 3
    =======
    * Okay i seem to have found out what’s special about “Thunderbolt”.
*It is “8x faster than USB 3.0 and 4x more video bandwidth than HDMI”
*Features: Dual 4K @60 Hz, 40 Gbps Transfer Speeds, 60 W Upstream Charging

Brilliant Docking station for my MacBook Pro 16”, now I can connect it with only one cable. The only thing (and it’s completely ok in my case) is Power Supply output is 60W, and my power supply input is 90W, so dock charging slower, but it’s ok in my case.

In general, quite happy with it. No glitches during use of it. Biggest complaint is rediculously short laptop cable. No extra cable to provide any type of strain relief. Connection to laptop always seems kinked unless docking station is perfectly in line with laptop port. Also be advised that cables come out all 4 sides of this docking station, so make sure you have adequate desk space.

Exactly what I needed: a TB3 dock with 4K HDR support.
    * 4K 60hz HDR from HDMI port and Display port
    * Two 10Gbps USB ports
    * Option to use USB-C Of power passthrough. My dell gaming laptop does not take power from TB port. So, it is nice that I don’t have to use external power for the dock.

The product works this far. I think the product is a bit pricey even though I got a discount. The cable from the hun to the laptop in only 10-15 cm which is a bit short in my opinion. An additional USB C port for charging would make the product perfect.

This is a sleek looking dock that is small but powerful. It has all the ports you would want on a dock and works with you laptops existing USB C power adaptor. It’s a neat single cable solution that works out the box with no issues so far. It doesn’t get too hot and works great with my dual screen setup, hardwired network connection and USB peripherals.

Great little compact dock, works perfectly with my dual screen set up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBezug: Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Standard mit Thunderbolt 3-Kabel (Stil: Core)
    .
    .
    Vorab:

    .
    .
    Fazit:
Verbinden – luft: Einfacher geht es nicht.

This arrived in a plain brown box with little instructions just the cable inside, it was well packaged and protected though.

It’s quite straight forward to connect all of your desired devices to it although we had a few teething problems having to restart some devices until it was running smoothly.

I’m not the best with technology so my son did most of the setting up and he has it running in his bedroom connecting his laptop and monitors , tablet and phone.

YouTube videos also helped in the setting up process so i would recommend watching if you are struggling with the connection.

It does feel a little hot after a while in use so we have made sure it’s in a safe place and not on the plastic desk just incase.

My son is happy with the performance so far , it’s a really pricey gadget so I’m not sure i would of shelled out the money for it, but it’s doing the job intended and my son is happy with it.

I’m really pleased with the packaging and delivery service from Amazon too.

The Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Core is well made and is exceptionally versatile! It features 7 ports that includes ultra fast charging support for your devices when plugged in, aswell as fast processing and connectivity speeds. I have been using this device for transferring 4K video files from my flagship smart phone and I am incredibly impressed by the processing speed that this product facilitates! I was able to process 120gb of video footage to my external hard drive In under an hour. I have tried using other products in the past, and they weren’t anywhere close as fast as this product. I would say that the ’40gbs’ statement is very deceiving as this would imply that my files should’ve been transfer in 3 seconds, which wasn’t the case. I’m assuming that this doesn’t apply to my file transferring method. Regardless, I am still very content with the speeds!

I would say that the design on this product variation is poor, and if you were to utilise all ports, you would have wires coming from all angles of the device, which wouldn’t be aesthetically pleasing for your desk. The device is still compact and can be easily fitted into your work bag, ready to take with you to the office. The packing the product came in was a plain eco friendly box with little branding, which wasn’t a bother to me as I usually discard the packaging upon receiving the product, and I’m glad that the packaging won’t have any environmental complications.

I have yet to fully utilise this product to its full extent, however once I upgrade my setup and purchase 4K monitors, I will update this review and let you know my experience, and if the device overheats like other reviewers mentioned.

Highly versatile and compact with fast transfer speeds!

I’m reviewing the “Core” version of this item here; it’s quite a different shape and spec to the Plus and Pro models, so some of my comments only apply to the Core version.

This is a neat little block of a dock. It’s a modest, matt black little square with two (fairly bright) LED lights on it, and it looks quite smart and professional.

It works well and does what it ought. From my test Macbook I can happily drive a triple-monitor set-up- the laptop’s own monitor plus the DP and HDMI outputs from this, both of which handle my monitor’s maximum resolutions- which chugs along nicely with no apparent processor struggles or blips. I can run my ethernet connection through it and be reading files from a USB drive through it at the same time, and it just ticks along elegantly with no apparent problems and no sense of slowdown. I’ve run it for several hours straight in this set-up and it gets gently warm but I certainly wouldn’t describe it as overheating.

The cable from the dock to the laptop is really quite short, just over 20cm, which will suit some desk arrangements more than others. I can store the dock underneath my laptop stand and have the cable curve round and connect with my laptop on top, which is quite a neat solution which hides a lot of cables (until the laptop’s removed)- but it’s quite tight and there’s not a lot of spare. Other people may well find they prefer to add a little USB-C extension cable into the equation to give a bit more flexibility. It’s hard-wired at the dock end so it has to be an extension, not a replacement.

With cable connections on all four sides of the box, it’s quite a difficult box to arrange in an organised fashion, and simply plugging cables into it makes it look instantly messy, if that’s the kind of thing that bothers you. The Plus and Pro have a longer thinner layout with cables mostly on two sides, and that intuitively feels a bit neater. But if you have no concerns about cable management, and many don’t, then the compact size of the Core dock becomes a virtue.

I want to give Belkin extra credit for the fully recyclable packaging as well. Tech manufacturers (including Belkin in the past) have often used excessive plastic showy packaging, shop-style packaging, even for online orders where the customer doesn’t need it- so I was pleasantly surprised to see Belkin are shipping these in sturdy cardboard. A big improvement.

Some of the other reviews on this product seem to indicate that Belkin have had to revisit and revamp this product after initially making something that had problems. On the evidence of the one I received, everything seems to be sorted out now.

For what it can do, it isn’t the cheapest dock on the market, and depending on the specs and speed that you need, there might well be a sub-hundred-quid dock on this site that’s just as capable of doing what you need it to. Nevertheless this does its job well, and in a nicely understated way. Reliability (this time) from Belkin.

As a result whats happening around world I needed to start working from home. And was trying to use just laptop but it does not do it as the screen are too small. Plus it is just more productive to work with two monitors as i can work much faster. As I use Mac pro I wanted to use a dock which would support macOS and Windows as we have two laptops and this Belkin doc was available. It is a small black box which will not take a lot of space on a table and I really like what compactability.
As most of a docks, it charges a laptop while working which is a good function, no need to think about plugging in a laptop. It has 7 ports which cover all the needs for working from home from a keyboard/mouse to speakers. And it can support up to a 2 x 4k screens at once. So far had no big problems with it. Although i connected just two simple monitors and mouse with a keyboard so i am not using it on a full potential. However , i noticed through the day it gets quite hot. Which is a bit of concern on how it will impact its performance after using it for a longer time. As the price are really high , so i would hope it would last for a long time. Other then what i had no problems with it so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a review for the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Core with Dual 4K at 60Hz, 40Gbps Transfer Speeds, 60W Upstream Charging that was released in January of this year.

Upon using this for a while, I have experienced no connectivity issues with this model that was reported for its predecessors.

For an expensive piece of kit, I was quite surprised to receive this boxed in a simple small brown box with no other form of packaging to make it feel like a more polished product.
I dont know whether this is a result of it being relatively new and perhaps still in the final stages of development.
My job in this situation is to report on what I receive. Hence I thought it important to bring this up.

A seamless way to turn your macbook/laptop into a high powered desktop using only a single cable running into it.

Theres ports in there to connect monitors, printers , drawing pads, keyboards, flash stick, mouse, speakers, hard drives amongst other things. Essentially anything that can connect to one of its ports.

It’s a compact little unit measuring about 4″x4″ and the height of about and inch tall.
The cable length is short at 20cm, not a major thing as this needs to be placed very close to your laptop anyway.
It weights just shy of 200g. Slipping easily into a side pocket of the laptop bag. Pretty worthy to take to the office.

It allows an agreeable level of power to any connected devices, with the poss-through function.
It can even charge the laptop through the Belkin, as long as you run the laptops power cable through the device.

With a total of 7 very versatile ports, plus the charging feature and the fast speeds. I’m swimming in good, simple connectivity, across all my devices without difficulty.
It connects to the Thunderbolb ports on the MacOS Sierra 10.12 or later; and the same port in the Windows 10 or later.

A very good Macbook/laptop port expander. Shame about the simple brown packaging.
    4 stars.
