Good 1080p 144hz monitor
144hz refresh rate works great but the colour accuracy is notably worse than other monitors I have. Brightness levels are good though
Stand is nice and provides a nice range of motion without taking up too much space
Excellent for high fps games but suffers when colour accuracy is needed (watching videos or viewing photos)
So I’ve had this monitor for just over a year. It’s an okay monitor overall, can’t say the colour is true to life (especially compared to another BenQ monitor I have) but the performance so far is pretty good. Queue today when I turn on my monitor and find that half of my screen is darker than the other side by a good bit, turns out the backlighting on half the screen has gone bad and replacing it would cost more than the monitor itself cost.
This wouldn’t be a problem if the monitor itself was a bit older, but it’s not, it’s a year and 2 months or so and should still be in good condition. Off to buy a different monitor this time.
It is a TN panel, so don’t expect anything amazing from the colours or viewing angles. AMA works amazing in Premium setting (no artifacts, ghosting or inverse ghosting). But this might be panel lottery and it variates between each individual panel/screen for the same XL2546K.
What makes this monitor have an edge between other monitors that are 240hz and even the big boys of 360hz is the DyAc+. This black frame insertion has been implemented perfectly and it makes a big difference, the brightness does not drop as much as you would expect and not only that objects in motion even at 1600 px/s (done in Frog Pursuit) you can still see the objects as clear as if they weren’t moving.
I come from another 240hz, the AW2521HF, that I gaveaway to my brother but the leap in pure gaming performance it’s amazing, even though the colours aren’t the greatest they are more than good enough for gaming if you tweak it and play with the colour vibrance. Only negative part of this monitor it’s its lack in contrast.
Overall the 2nd best gaming monitor in the market, only behind the Benq 2566K. This same monitor but with 360hz.

If you’re mostly going to be playing FPS games then this monitor is for you. I wouldn’t recommend it for watching videos since the colours aren’t exactly the best. It is compatible (120 fps) with the newest consoles.
Is it worth keeping to 1080p? It sure is. I play Call of Duty at 1080p, as well as Apex. Pretty much any other shooter I play from Battlefield, to Destiny, to Borderlands, I just raise the res scale to 1440p and still hit great FPS. I don’t have the best card (6700xt), but it’s up there for its 1440p performance, so if you have anything a lot lower then you may struggle running up that res scale.. so instead of 1440p (1080p x 133), just run it up as far as you can with your desired FPS and you’ll still have a great time. The one thing I can say about DyaC+ is that it makes you feel like you’re getting more FPS than you actually are, especially at the low end. 200fps, you don’t get MUCH of a difference, just the blur reduction.. BUT, if you’re only getting 80-120fps in game, you feel like you’re on 140-150. So maybe it IS beneficial with lower end graphics card. Take the plunge, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

And on settings it’s max 60hz? Where is 144hz or 120hz? Please don’t tell me I paid for a 60hz 1080p TV basically…
This is perfect for gaming, easy to set up and looks and feels professional to handle.
Works great with another monitor and the quality of the pictures on games is not comparable. This is perfect for someone who wants to take there gaming to a new level
I had a 144hz viewsonic before this. I knew I was paying quite a lot for a small gain and it worked out like that. Over the 144hz I can see a small difference moving to 240hz plus the dyac tech. Is it worth spending the money if you already have a144hz, depends how ocd you are. Still happy as will no doubt use it for a number of years
Very easy to set up and a lot of versatility in how you can place and angle it. Additionally, the colours and colour options are great for a TN panel. Switching to standard or movie mode gives a good viewing experience. You can tell it’s a 1080p panel when watching UHD videos or movies, but it’s definitely not noticable when playing games. Fantastic brightness as well – I prefer my monitors to be set quite bright, and whereas other monitors are usually a bit dark for me, this one isn’t. It still looks good with indirect sunlight in the room.
As for CSGO –
I got this monitor for high level CS and there is a clear difference between 144 and 240hz. It’s not ground breaking, but it is definitely smoother and a lot easier to track opponents. The game is a lot more fluid with this monitor and lets you feel more comfortable taking 1v1s and rushing a site. The default monitor setting FPS 1 is specifically tailored for CSGO and makes it really easy to see through mollies. Don’t get me wrong, the colour settings don’t completely negate bad vision through molotovs, but it is a LOT easier to see enemies compared to other monitors I’ve used.
Quality on the monitor is just unbelieveable! Also i love the mode features as mode 1 is preset for CS:GO Which i play a lot.

Really good product I heard a lot about how the colours was washed out can’t say I felt the same way! Can really get a lot out of the monitor has different colour corrections if you are in to that. Dyac feature is good as well as the monitor doesn’t come with g sync or free sync but it’s fine I play Fortnite and warzone and works perfect at 144hz
It is a good monitor for game,BUT it is really bad for video and picture.If you use the PS or other design App, don’t choice this one.
Great monitor; I bought this to use alongside my older BenQ XL2430T. Colours aren’t the best but otherwise you can’t really beat it – especially not at this price. Very responsive, durable, and I’ve never had issues with BenQ products.
In comparison to my older one:
Plus: Running 60hz is fixed on this model. The other has noticeable input lag on everything but the native refresh rate. (Also makes it better for console use.)
Con: The buttons to control input / settings are such a downgrade it’s unbelievable. On the back and overly confusing. They were fine before.
Unless colours or higher res are huge deals to you, I cannot recommend this monitor enough. At 150 it’s a steal. I remember buying my first 120hz panel almost 10 years ago for quadruple the price (not even accounting for inflation!) that had such worse picture. Tech sure moves fast.
Games look really good and run very smoothly compared to my old 60hz monitor, the stand is very sturdy and has a lot of adjustment, the design is nice, has fairly thin bezels, nice response time too, very little ghosting, only issue is a small dead pixel but it usually goes away
Now with my gaming pc I just couldn’t get it to sync with gsync. It’s obviously a freesync monitor but all reviews I read online from reputable websites stated it works with gsync no problems but mine wouldn’t sadly which was a deal breaker for myself.
This ergonomics of the monitor are exceptional as is build quality. And as I said for a TN panel the colours are very good in standard mode.
Sadly my gsync problem was the only problem but big enough for me to return it.
Very good for gaming – runs Rust at over 120hz.
I bought it because of the small footprint and it could be lowered down. The slight problem is that the stand is tall and vertical, not sloped like many others, so it didn’t fit very well against my sloped ceiling in the bedroom. I removed the screen from its stand and put it on a box. Not ideal but it works fine
