Berghaus are a good company and I bought these because the price was good. I’m a 2xl and the fit was good but I had to knock a star off because the quality was not quite there. Maybe worth paying more to get that !
Great jacket at a great price and true to size
Stands up well to being shoved into the school bag and meets the school strict only black coat rule. Good arm and body length for a tall teenager. Keeps him dry. It is lightweight so he doesn’t complain about getting too hot.
The jacket is great it’s excellent value for money. Really warm and comfortable.
Really light and comfortable and works well with the berghuas fleece for the colder days
Got the Deluge pro 2.0 a month ago – it’s nice to wear, sizing was good, lightweight and waterproof to a point. NB. You will sweat in this, which is understandable since it has no side zips/slots; but for the cost wasn’t really expecting otherwise. Would recommend for the money but it won’t tick all the boxes.
I got a large 42, fits well with some room for layers.
Great jacket, fits well, keeps the wi d off great to aswel as the rain. Perfect really.
This is very light and not breathable. I used this while working while it kept the rain out when I removed it I found the in side to be damp and wet.
Very light, packs into tiny space, very waterproof and good wind protection. Impressive when used correctly with layering up of base layers and so light it’s almost non existent. Highly recommended .
I like the fit of this jacket and it has performed well in heavy rain. It is only a shell so packs away small but layers up well with a microfleece or a slim down jacket.
Lovely quality and fitted well so sizing good but the arms were very long and covered all of the hands so had to return it unfortunately
Berghaus are a good brand that I’ve used and find faultless. A little in the expensive side but you get quality for your money. Hood, and waist has a draw cord, 2 zipped pockets. Good in the rain, I would recommend a decent top or fleece if it’s cold as it is not designed as a warm coat. Would recommend this.
sizing is a little on the snug side so probably order one size bigge
There’s always a balance between breathability vs waterproofing. This sides with the latter. Very good at keeping water out and a snug but nice fit. Very lightweight but not the most breathable. Wouldn’t wear during vigerous activity though as high chance of condensation on inside.
Nice lightweight rainproof jacket got this for a great price. Not the warmest of coats but paired up with a jumper it should be able to tackle the worst of the UK’s weather.
The jacket is very good for a short use only. Its lightweight and totally waterproof, but you will be all wet from your own sweat after longer use or doing some activity requiring physical effort.
I bought this to replace an ageing Berghaus Paclite. It seems just a little heavier and thicker than the Paclite, but still lightweight and packable. It is a good, comfortable fit and gives good rain protection. For the price it ticks all the boxes.
The size is definitely true, I have a 46 inch chest and 38 inch waist broad shoulders and stand well over 6 feet and there is room for a thick jumper. Not bragging just a well built specimen hehe.
The size I bought was XL and is quite long in the arms and in the body.
The quality is pretty good at 90 pounds although you are paying for the name.
Hope this review helps those guys who are kidding themselves about their size hehe.
This will keep you dry. But needs to be warm with a warm layer underneath in colder weather. It does well to keep warmth in with out over heating you. I would recommend it as a all year round waterproof layer, lightweight but with out the flimsy feel you would get from a packable waterproof.
Overall an excellent jacket and I’m now looking for a hoodless version!
Was on the lookout for a genuinely waterproof jacket for work. I’m working in a very hands-on role, outside, and didn’t want to spend a fortune due to likely rips.
I picked this Deluge Pro 2 up at an offer around the 50 Mark which I’d decided as an upper budget for work. Arrived quickly and upon unwrapping I was surprised at how little there was to it. Didn’t seem a lot of coat for 50. I tried it on and was pleased with how snugly the jacket fitted, my chest measures 43″ relaxed and I’d ordered a Large. During the autumn I’ve been wearing a Tog24 Appleby fleece with a T-shirt under it and been comfortable with warmth and movement also reasonably breathable under normal use.
The jacket material (single layer) is actually quite durable. I’ve had a couple of occasions where I’ve snagged on a rough surface and upon warily inspecting the jacket found no damage. However the inevitable happened and I did rip it on the arm. Again I was impressed that the rip didn’t run for the few days I was waiting for my repair kit to arrive, still wearing it daily for work.
I didn’t really want a hood but bit the bullet with this as I was struggling to find the ideal jacket within my budget. Also, this was for work and I wasn’t too concerned about making a fashion statement. However thd hood actually works well and some thought has been put into its design.
Would I pay full price for it? No. Too expensive for work and I wouldn’t have a hood for normal use.
The jacket came well packaged and fit as I expected, although if you are of a chunky build then I would suggest getting the large and one above just to make sure. Easy returns and no disappointments.
The hood is a little small for the size that I ordered (L)..if you zip the jacket up fully to the chin and you need the hood up then you WILL need to unzip slightly to allow room to put the hood up.
All in all, a good lightweight jacket with acceptable waterproofing material.
You can’t go wrong with this jacket. Top drawer, lightweight, warm and really really proper smart. It looks brilliant on and the zip up to the neck is quality.. Think Liam Gallagher back in the day.. Ian Brown style.. Absolutely spot on… You would know exactly what I mean if you get yourself one of these coats.. If you do buy one I would recommend getting your normal size and also the size above. This way you can keep the one that fits perfect and send the other one back. No hassle, easy return policy dropping it off at the post office.. Highly recommended this coat.. It’s boss ma
