Love this jacket so much I have 2 now. Light weight and keeps you warm.
Bought for the cold spell we had . Very warm with only base layer, haven’t tried with sweater etc. Recommend.
Well made piece here
Fits like a dream
Warm when it needs to be also can where on a nice day best of both
Under the arms and body material starting to get bobbly
Was bought for partner. Keeps him warm more than any other jacket. No complaints. Well made. XL a snug fit but can wear vest and light sweater underneath, no problem. So good we’ve bought another. Expensive even with big discount, but we’ll worth it. Suits a man who can show off his shape in it.
Great coat, breathable and keeps you warm!
I removed a star because I’m finding the down keeps coming out whenever I wash the coat. This makes me believe that the coat isn’t as waterproof as I would have hoped.
Originally ordered a Large, usually a good fit on me with plenty of room however a Large in this jacket is more Medium.
Even with only a t-shirt underneath this was still tight.
Recieved an XL today, good fit with a fleece on as well, glad I went back for it.
Really pleased with this jacket. Keeps your core nice and warm thanks to the down and helps keep you ventilated due to the fleece side. Has nice deep pockets and also a handy inside pocket. The hood is elastic too so doesn’t come off your head when it’s windy. Much happier with with jacket than my Rab which cost much more.
One thing to note; I had to go a size up, as it’s quite tight fitting
Great looking jacket and Great fit but as most things in life could be cheaper, because its very thin , but it is quality
Nice jacket I’m normally a L but reading the reviews most said go slightly bigger XL which I did but could have gone for L .. depends really if you want a jumper under Neath .. I was disappointed that’s the sides are not all padded .. but my fault for not checking.. but over all I’m pleased mixed views I know
For this review it is worth remembering this is meant to be a tighter fitting, tailored cut jacket.
I’m 6ft 1 and 14 stone, slim build with long arms and size Large fits me well. It is a snug fit but incredibly comfortable.
Jacket looks great, is shower proof (tested) and very light, so great to roll up and chuck in a bag.
Only gripe I have is sometimes the feathers make their way out of the seams – eventually it will be empty!
Material will tear if it catches on something. Fit is a little strange. I ordered two sizes and I’m between both. The arms on both are long and quite wide. I’m a muscular build too. Waste is tight but chest has room. (I understand that’s the fit of it but my chest inst classed as small) It’s also very thin and the feathers are already finding their way through on first casual wear. So taking into account how thin the jacket is there’s likely going to be not much left inside in about 6 months I’m guessing.
The concept of it is still quite good. I just think it hasn’t been put in place correctly. Saying all those negatives I’ve still decided to keep one of them.
I got this jacket to keep warm in cold conditions without having to wear a heavy big jacket it works really well and keeps things cosy (especially with a warm jumper). The inside of the sleeves can get a bit drafty as can the sides of the waist but this is balanced out but the fact that reduces the amount you sweat when doing activities. The pockets are large and the sleeves are long as is the area back of the jacket which covers your butt when you sit down.
I found it a little bit annoying that some of the down can put through the seams, it seems that every time I pick the jacket up there are a couple of bits of down poking through. I hope that over time the jacket doesn’t lose some of its effectiveness because of this. It’s not a very good jacket for water resistance and the water doesn’t bead off so I wouldn’t recommend in wet conditions beyond a light rain shower, it would be best to match with an impermeable outer shell. I’m not a huge fan of the rustling noise the jacket makes my arms move but this is a very OCD point.
