Ver light weight and comfortable. This is my second pair, love them!
Good sturdy boot, comfortable straight out the box. They offer a good ankle support. Not the lightest of boots but still very comfortable.
Love this boots very comfortable, easy to get on and off, I don’t undo the laces and use a shoe horn due to my back so these are perfect, I’m a size 6 but due to some of the reviews I also order a 5.5 but the 6 was true to size so sent 5.5 back, they are not a heavy boot I will definitely buy again in the future
Second pair of these, love them. They are so comfy and hard wearing. My first pair are still good on uppers but sole has worn down over time.
Fantastic walking shoe that is becoming more comfortable the more they are worn.
Only a personal preference, but would like the shoe to fit higher up around the ankle.
Better than many other walking shoes that I have tried.
Love these boots but small fit, get a size bigger if you want thick socks
Great boots – Recommended! Fit well, are comfy and look like they will last well.
Comfortable from day one, sturdy sole, light weight and feet dry after hours of wear. What more could you wa
Very comfortable and well made boots. I walk my dog everyday, often in rain/mud, they do not disappoint. Fit is great and so is comfort, so far waterproof ( used for nearly 4 months).
I wore the boots around the house and for a short walk on pavements, then for a 6 mile country walk. No blisters and so comfortable. Would definitely recommend
I’ve been a professional dog walker for 9 years & these are by far my favourite to date. Walk on average 1000 miles a year (according to step count) not the cheapest but quality never is. Super comfy & sturdy & because of applying regular dubbin still leak proof. Worst nightmare is day long soggy feet xx Early days, very hopeful xx could be my new go to brand of boots xx just need a leak proof coat now, happy winter xx
Perfect for my weekends in the hills. Would definitely recommend
Bought these to replace my existing boots. They are super comfortable, walked several miles in them on the second wearing and no problems, whereas previous boots have had to be ‘worn in’. Good price too.
I walk my cockapoo dog twice a day and never had a problem with the boots this is my second pair and I just love them
Bought to replace a pair of TNF which began to leak. Had a pair of these previously when they were Brasher. These are just as they were.great!
This is my second pair, they are worth every penny, my Dad now has a pair too – that he really loves as well. My old pair still look good until you get to the soles – which are really worn down now after over 2,000 miles. I get blisters terribly easily and have to wear orthotic insoles and these boots are good to wear with 1-3 pairs of socks for padding on really long walks. They are the best boots I’ve ever had and will never buy any others from now on. For the amount of wear you get, comfort, ankle support and waterproofing they provide they are exceptional value for the regular daily walker and hill walker.
My son was looking for good hiking boots in a size 6 but the most of the quality brand mens started at a 7, so wasn’t sure if these would be any good as they’re supposedly for women.
They’re off on a hiking/camping trip in a month or so and he wanted some really good quality hiking boots and these looked the part. Seems it’s rather difficult to get good quality hiking boots in his size, all the mens boots for some reason begin at a size 7 which would have been too big – yet, when you look at (allegedly) womens boots they cater for sizes 6 and lower…bit odd but what can you do?
Luckily he loves them, they fit perfectly and they look really nice.
Very sturdy, well made boot and seem very durable, he says they’re very comfortable. Not sure what the difference is between the mens and womens boots but he has no issues with them, I thought they’d perhaps be slightly narrower but they’re a great fit and pretty rugged.
Sure, they seem a bit pricey but you can’t deny the quality of the product and they seem built to last, they’re really very smart looking and delivery was fairly rapid – would definitely recommend the product.
I love the boots, they were comfortable from the start. I have done several walks on them and absolutely delighted with them. I would certainly recommend.
Most comfortable, lightweight, warm and sturdy walking boots ever! This is the 8th pair I’ve bought over the years for my partner. She wears them everyday to walk our two large dogs but unfortunately the sole and heel are worn out after 10 months!
Had similar boot before and was a good comfortable walking boot, so when old pair needed replacing brought like for like.
This is my wifes second pair of these boots , they have ideal grip are lightweight and stand up to wearing in very muddy conditions but we do clean them off each time after use and apply dubbin regularly
I love these boots, in my opinion they’re the best walking boots around.
I do think they come up a little small: the UK6 was too tight (my usual size) but the UK7 fitted beautifully.
I’ve ‘road tested’ them hiking in winter in the Scottish Highlands and can confirm they kept me the right way up even in the muddiest/hilliest of terrain! In the right size as well they do not rub a jot, there was no ‘breaking in’ process at all.
Very comfy on, tested so far on two shortish walks. Came down a steep path in woods, didnt slip & my feet felt well protected: not bashing against front of boot. Very waterproof
Bought these a month ago to replace a 20 year old pair of boots that eventually started to leak. My new boots have now had several long walks – many through mud and puddles. They were comfortable from the first day on. Supportive on the ankles and really sturdy. Very impressed.
I really love them but as I have wide (but short) feet I was hoping that they would wear in to fit better. Unfortunately they are built so well they are taking a lot of wearing in. If only boot manufacturers did wider fittings. Wouldn’t describe them as lightweight, but then I wouldn’t want them to be.
Worse these out for the first time on a 4 hour hike. No rubbing, no aching, no soreness, nothing. Sooo comfortable and light and most definitely waterproof after deciding to dip my left foot entirely into a bog and it stayed dry! Love these boots and would most definitely buy again!
I got a half size larger as I like to wear thick sox.
Boots hardly needed wearing in.
Perfectly comfortable.
I have been looking for walking boots that fit like a glove for years.
These are my favourite boots, owing to the shape they do not aggravate my achilles area which I find high fitting ones do. They are also really comfortable for my wide feed. I wear them literally every day so I do go through these much more quickly than someone who only wore them for weekend hiking. Even having them for 10 or 12 months at the price and daily wear – work, dog walking, weekend hiking – I find them to be really good value for money.
I have bought several Berghaus boots and they are all guaranteed to fit, be comfortable, and to do their job in keeping my feet dry. I highly recommend this product.
I’m very happy with these boots, great purchase. I wanted boots for all weather walking that were waterproof, these definitely fit the bill. Comfortable from my very first walk in them then yesterday I tried them in some very slushy snow we’d had overnight, they were fully waterproof as promised with excellent grip. I’m normally a size 6 but bought 6.5 to allow for thick socks and they were a perfect fit. I would highly recommend them.
Took a few walks before these became comfortable. Was very painful around the ankles to start with when walking longer than an hour but I am pleased to say that my perseverance paid off and I now love the boots! Very water proof and sturdy too!
I had been looking at some other well branded boots for a while, but when I started reading reviews on Berghaus products I took the plunge and ordered these instead, and I can honestly say they do not disappoint. Excellent fit (I have broad feet) and these are so comfortable, Ordered a half size up from my normal size to allow for thicker hiking socks. So glad I made the switch to Berghaus.
Ordered my normal size and they fit great , had them on for a couple of medium walks and they were very comfortable, I’m sure they will be my favourite walking boots
This is the second pair of boots like this I’ve owned. I walk approximately 25 – 30 miles each week in them – my last pair lasted 4 years before I replaced them. So comfortable yet gives adequate protection and is waterproof.
Choosing a boot is quite difficult for me as I have mortons neuroma. That’s if I wear shoes that are too tight, a nerve pops out from under my foot and I have excruciating pain. I’ve bought several pairs of other boots which were OK in the shop and as soon as I walked outside they caused a problem. With this brilliant leather boot, the width is perfect and there is more give than with a sewn tech fabric. I wore them in the house first with the knowledge I could send them back if they didn’t suit, a good advantage of buying online. After a few days I ventured on a walk and my feet were fine. I’ve since been on some long and muddy walks, all perfect. I’m so grateful to have such great boots as it means I can now get back to walking again. I used the online cleaning instructions which were easy and they look like new inspite of very muddy walks.
These boots are exactly as described. I’ve bought so many types of boots and all have been a waste of money! I realised that it’s worth paying more to get the quality. They are sturdy, lightweight, comfortable and warm and it’s lovely to have the gortex inner lining, they also have a great grip. I would definitely highly recommend them. It is November so I was going to keep them for Christmas but I couldn’t wait to wear them!!
Bought these for my wife as her old boots had started to wear from the inside to the outside. From the moment she put them on they felt so comfortable and were such a good fit.
I bought a half size bigger than usual after reading reviews and these boots are an excellent fit. 8 mile hill walk first time I wore them and really comfortable. If they are as durable as I expect them to be I’ll definitely buy again.
I have had a pair of Brasher boots now for 13 years, they have finally started to crack so therefore leak. Of course Brasher hillwalker/master have now been taken over by Berghaus. First time of wear they have been great, just like the original Brashers. They have yet to prove themselves, but review are encouraging. Looking forward to some exciting walks with them.
Sizes are correct with normal shoe size. If you want extra room get a half size bigger. Very comfortable, even on first wear. Get the cleaner and leather protector when you buy the boots.
Love the fact that they can been worn straight away, no rubbing just pure comfort.
Have had this boots in the past. Last pair, was returned because one boot leaked. As they have a lifetime guarantee . I recieved a refund. Then promptly bought 2 new pairs.
I bought a size 6 boot the are comfortable from the first ware. I have done about 6, 3-6 mile walks in these so far, and so far so good. I would prefer a tab at the back to help put them on, or invest in a shoe horn for easy on. I would recommend these.
I have wide feet so a bit snug to start with but as they are leather got comfortable very quickly. wore them a lot on dog walks and still comfortable and waterproof. had them for about 9 months now and very pleased.
Comfortable and light to wear. Didn’t need breaking in. A slim fit go up 1/2 a size if you have a long foot against your size. Waterproof easily cope with wet peat moorland. Easy to clean.
Bought for winter walking, they are warm and comfortable and so far have kept the weather out and my feet dry. A good sturdy pair of boots from a well known maker, should last a long time.
Highly recommended.
Excellent pair of boots. Look smart and fab quality as you’d expect from Berghaus. Very light and very comfortable, didn’t need breaking is, wore them first time and did a good walk in the Lake District, where I live. Didn’t rub my feet or ankles one bit. Great grip on a variety of terrain. Would definitely recommend them. 100% satisfied.
Bought these boots for my daughter because I have the same ones that I’ve had for about 3 years. Got her half a size up as I did for mine which fit great which good walking socks. I walked whw wearing them not a blister in sight. Very sturdy for walking along rocks and climbing etc. Medium weight to hold and you don’t feel them on when you’re walking.
My previous walking boots were still going strong but had gotten a little too slippy for what I needed. I therefore decided to buy these boots. They are incredibly comfortable, light and have great grip which was a huge improvement from my old boots (which I had for 17 years!). Looking at th sole construction I can see why other reviewers have experience issues with longevity of the boots, but I think my expectations are well managed based on reviews. If these last me around 2 years with regular use then I think I’d buy these again.
It’s so wonderful to find my much loved Brasher boots alive and kicking under cover of the Berghaus brand. Apart from the Berghaus badge, they are identical to my orginal if now battered old Brasher Hillwalkers. Thankfully this is also the case with the men’s variant which I have also bought for my husband. Both size 7 in the women’s and size 9 in the men’s seem true to size. We both find them snug, but in a good way, with the fine interior tailoring so nice that you don’t need overly thick socks. For both of us, they have hit the trail with no breaking in whatsoever and without issue. These are very fine boots!
Put these on and they fit like a glove, no end to wear them in they were comfortable straight away. I have recently had cheaper pairs of walking boots but it’s definitely worth paying a bit more money for quality. I am off to the Lake District next weekend and they should get a real test them. I had a pair of Berghaus boots previously that lasted me 15 years, wish I’d bought another pAir straight away rather than waste money in the cheaper pairs.
