I have had this ladder for just over a year and use it weekly to access an attic. It conveniently collapses and is easy to extend and collapse. It is not lightweight, but the trade-off with a collapsible ladder is weight and size for sturdiness. This ladder is not as sturdy as a non-collapsible ladder, but it is more than sturdy enough for my size – 5’10” and 195 lbs. It is a good product and I would recommend it for a household without space for a large ladder.

Awesome ladder. So easy to use and transport. Auto collapse feature makes it easy to collapse. I was surprised to see the large sturdy diameter of the legs and the quality rubber feet. Follow the instructions for tips on using .

Very sturdy, very steady. I use it for the roof and the attic, and it’s light enough to carry into the house, yet still use it for 10 ft height. Easy to raise, lock, and lower.and like I saidI have two!

This ladder is amazing! It’s lightweight and sturdy. I use it when we go camping and need to clean on top of our pull out. When collapsing it to close, it closes slow so there’s no way of pinching your fingers.

Purchased this ladder to help us replace the awning on our RV. We needed something lightweight and compact and this had great reviews. We like that it has red and green indicators that let us know that the rung is locked. Very sturdy and felt stable as opposed to a standard aluminum ladder. Extremely portable and fits great in the back of our car but extends to work on the top of our Class C motor home.

Really nice ladder was just the perfect height to get me to the gutter to clean out. Great price, good quality, seems pretty sturdy I like it a lot. The only problem I originally had was there was no mention of the plastic cylinders inside the ladder were the stabilizer was to slide in. I did not know to remove them so it would be very helpful if that would be mentioned in the directions. Would actually be nice if they had a step by step with pictures explaining how to raise & lower the ladder. The direction are a little vague and it would be nicer if the print was larger. Overall I like the ladder and gave it 5 stars.

I should have looked at the description a little more. I thought it collapsed all the way down, and would have been a little more compact. In fact, it looked EXACTLY as the picture shows. Silly me.

I purchased the ladder to be able to look at the solar panels on the top of our camper trailer. Our old A-frame ladder was heavy and bulky.

Pros: I like how this collapsible ladder is easy to carry and store. We tried it out in the house first. I was able to climb up to the top of our kitchen cabinets and clean many years of dust and ick, that I was too short to reach previously.
Cons: We are a bare foot family. I climbed the ladder and the rungs are a little uncomfortable after a minute or so of standing on them. In the future I may have to wear shoes and see if this remedies this issue. Maybe there is a small platform that I can get to help distribute my weight and make prolonged standing more comfortable. This ladder is made for flat even ground. There isn’t a way to adjust the feet for uneven ground. When camping there is often uneven ground. I will update if this is an issue with stability, as it hasn’t been tested in camp action yet.
All in all, I’m happy with my purchase. I would recommend to a friend and would repurchase this brand if necessary. I was not compensated for my review.

Used the ladder a couple of time to remove debris from our roof and repair a gutter that had come loose! The ladder is easily extended and very easily collapsed again! When collapsed it fits in a very small space in the garage! For light home owner around the house maintenance this ladder is perfect.

I purchased these ladders as my existing telescopic ladders completely snapped last year while I was on them (cheap ones & I only weigh 10.5 stone) so after a long wait & researching around for a set that was not only going to be strong! They had to offer a soft close feature as on my previous ladders my finger would sometimes get trapped when releasing them down (would hurt) I normally use the ladders for accessing alarm sirens cctv cameras or even installing new intruder systems as it saves me having to get out my double or triple extenders & having to put them on the roof rack. These telescopic ladders are very strong well built & I feel so much more safe on them compared to the cheap Chinese ones (I use to own) I’m sure these will last a long time but only time will tell. There doesn’t seem to be hardly any flexing or bowing when standing on these even when standing on the 3rd rung from the top-down (don’t go any higher) for safety reasons.
They come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty which is great so that offers some reassurance should you be interested in purchasing these ladders. I always look after my equipment I own, I clean them down when they are dirty & re-grease them as of when the runners need it.

This 4.5 m telescopic ladder is of a high quality .

No rivets found only screws .

At full extension there is minimal flex due to the thicker materials used .

    Treads are sturdy .

I felt safe when at the top as advised not last 3 rungs .

    Highly recommend

    So far very impressed

I needed a collapsable ladder to take deep into my attic space to replace a failed attic-fan motor. (Fully extended folding A-frame ladders won’t cut it as the roof framing would prevent maneuverability.) This collapsable ladder did the trick. Feels good and trust worthy. The working pitch angle should not be any less than 68-80 degrees from vertical as I fear any more may make the ladder flex considerably and could be dangerous. (Come on BIVATIA, please post a recommended working pitch angle!) The soft retraction is a much welcomed plus over their competition, especially in tight quarters such as in an attic. Had no issues accessing the different extended height options as well, not sure what people are complaining about here. I only wish that each step were angled back a little so that the steps would be parallel to the ground when the ladder is fully extended & pitched forward. Right now the bottom of each foot must rest on the step edge, not sure footed on the full ribbed step surface. That small modification would earn this ladder a 5+ Star-Rating in my book. Otherwise a great ladder.

The ladder is solid but little bit heavy what can be hard to use by little women. It is easy and quick to fold using only two buttons. Good to use especially indoor and easy to storage.

    Practical and useful

After much deliberation I decided on this ladder for good reviews and price.
As previously mentioned it was a competitive price and is extremely well made and seems very sturdy.
It is not the lightest of ladders but is robust and the slow closing feature save’s trapped fingers as others seem to occasionally trap users fingers (see other ladders reviews).
    Swift delivery from manufacturer.

I bought this ladder for use on my travel trailer while on extended trips. The trailer came with no ladder, so initially I planned to add a permanently installed ladder on the back end which would have been fine for getting on the roof, but do me no good if I needed to do work on the sides. Those ladders barely extend over the top of the roof so they also aren’t very safe for the transition onto and off the roof. Make sure you get one that goes above the roof about 3 feet so you have something to hang onto when getting on and off the roof.
I read up on about twenty of these and watched a few review videos before making a selection. There were 2 main reasons for this choice. The black plastic parts on the ends of each step are thicker than most of the designs. Many people mentioned this plastic part broke on other ladders. Looking at those ladders when they are collapsed, you can see the verticle tube between each step, meaning that the black plastic part is thinner. This part also feels like it may be a nylon reinforced plastic, as it doesn’t feel like a hard brittle plastic that I suspect some of the other ladders have (there are quite a few reports of broken plastic with other ladders).
I saw pictures and reports of the tubing cutting through the feet of other ladders, so I was planning on removing the feet, cutting a disc of aluminium to fit snugly inside the foot to stop the tubing from cutting through, however these feet seem strong enough to not need that. I may still do that as I’m a cautious person.
The other big reason for this selection was the pneumaticly dampened closing system. Most of the other ladders have reports of people getting their hands pinched when closing the ladders. When closing those ladders you start at the bottom and push a release button on the ends of each steps, then the upper sections come slamming down trying to chop off your fingers. Then you do that again and again till the ladder is closed. Then you count your fingers and see how many you lost. With this one there is only one pair of release buttons at the bottom to push and then it closes gradually one step at a time. It puts on quite a show at closing time.
To extend this ladder fully you pull it up 1 step at a time starting from the top. If you don’t need the full height, you grasp it at the sides just above the second step and pull up till that step locks in, then grasp above that and extend the next step, continuing till you have the height you need, (with the unused steps remaining collapsed at the top). On the ends of each step are windows which show a red flag if the step isn’t locked and a green flag if it is locked and safe to step on.
I also liked the fact that it wasn’t a velcro strap holding it closed, but a strap with a buckle. In use it feels no springier than my ridgid aluminium ladders.
I have a muscle strength affliction so for me it is easier to extend it while laying on the ground, then tip it up against the trailer.
I’m very pleased with this purchase. Happy laddering to ya

Brought for work in narrow passage ways around machinery, slightly heavier than what I thought (but easily managed) this helps towards its rigidity. Opening and closing is easy and with the soft close system you shouldn’t get your fingers trapped. Overall very impressed for the price.

This is a super strong ladder! There was hardly any flex or bending when I was walking up it (I am 10 stone). I felt really safe.

Of all the ladders I saw on Amazon this had the thickest tubing. It is a bit heavier than most but fine if you are not using it everyday or have muscles! I believe there is another super strong ladder on the market called “Extend and Climb” but this is a lot more expensive.

When you telescope the ladder from the first rung, you can only extend it to your height. It is easier to telescope the ladder from the top rung, but you have to extend it to the full length of the ladder. This was fine for me.

    OK here we go.
+ Size. Ease of use. The safety aspect. You won’t trap your fingers. Some others the sections drop down Very quickly. Price is great. The safety strap has a clasp not velcro so it doesn’t come undone.
    – The weight. It is very heavy.
    But better than being flimsy.
    Overall a great ladder.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is not the lightest ladder on the market, BUT, it is very sturdy and I feel safe on it.
Easy to extend and very easy to retract. I like the simplicity of it. Only 2 buttons to push (instead of 2 at each rung) and the it comes down slowly to avoid crushing fingers. I would recommend this item.

I’m a woman of a ‘certain’ age and though this is a reassuringly sturdy piece of kit and seems well made, at just over 13 kilos the ladder is quite heavy to lift and manoeuvre around.

  24. AngelinAHBJ says:

Little heavier that I expected, but I trust that results in more sturdy. I was able to extend just a portion to make a shorter ladder; worked well. It has a shock absorber type setup to keep each rung from slamming closed. I hope that does not fail.

I wanted to replace an aging wood-slide ladder that was occupying 12ft of space.
The Bivatia ladder does this really well…it sits unobtrusively in any small space you can imagine.
It’s reasonably easy to move around when fully retracted, and the retraction process is fun to watch.
It’s feels very sturdy and does not have to be fully extended when performing lower tasks.

Very Sturdy and simple to use.
A bit more expensive than other brands but these aren’t the usual wobbly and thin metal collapsible ladders and they don’t squash your fingers because of the single action retraction mechanism.

This ladder is fantastic. Some say the ladder is heavy for around the house. I find it easy to handle around the house. A little heavy on the 15′ ladder but the compact way it retracts is great and offsets the weight. Try handling a regular ladder. If that’s your complaint then buildup your muscles! Lol very sturdy and I love the way it retracts with 2buttons. I would recommend this ladder no if ands or but. The weight defines how well constructed its built! Your getting your best bang for your buck! I have 2 of these 8′ for my rv and 15′ for my home. Both work great.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had this problem in the beginning – All of the sudden the little green and red indicators no longer worked – the ladder rungs didn’t click into place when lifted and the green/red indicators are locked in between the two (showing a little red and green but not either fully). There isn’t much you can do when this happens. After leaving my initial review the company contacted me to try to help me figure out what was going on. They sent a video to try to fix it. Not sure if the initial problem was fixed or if I just started doing it correctly but the last two times I used it it worked OK. So fingers crossed. They definitely need to provide more troubleshooting information and the label on the ladder itself is confusing because it says to start lifting at a certain rung but the arrow points to the rung above the one you should lift. You have to lift from the very bottom rung and don’t go by that arrow.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI needed to get a telescopic 12′ ladder for a new job. I read lots of reviews and settled on this one. It’s very similar to other telescopic ladders, but slightly sturdier, and this one has a closing mechanism that greatly reduces the chance of trapping fingers and other things inbetween the descending rungs. In fact, my colleagues who have different telescopic ladders were very impressed with the slow closing mechanism on this ladder. The only downside, and it’s a pretty big downside if, like me, you’re carting this ladder around for work and getting it in and out all the time, is that it’s very heavy. I’m a 6′ fit male and I struggle to carry anything else while carrying this ladder under my arm.

UPDATE: There is another downside to this ladder, depending how you intend to use it. Unlike other telescopic ladders, you are restricted to how you can adjust the rungs. Options are 1) lay it down and extend fully from the top, then walk it up or b) you can use it at a shorter height by extending each rung one at a time starting at the bottom. Only problem with this is that if you’re not in a situation where you can lay it down, it means that once you extend it past a rung at reachable height you can’t extend it any further. So basically it’s either a 6′ ladder or a 12′ ladder, nothing in between. This doesn’t suit my needs since I am using it predominantly to access attic hatches in clients’ homes.
