I like that its lightweight and you can fold and put it inside your bag easily. At first I was having hard time folding it but then after sometime I got the technique but it would still take some of your time no matter how you get used to it. I’m giving it 3 stars for the comfort coz I feel like my baby’s hand is stuck inside and it’s not easy for him to take it out, he does look like he was inside a cocoon . Also when you wear it you have to be extra careful. Also I get discomfort over my shoulder when I used it in a longer time. I don’t know why, but for others it works and they feel pretty comfortable using it when they hike but for me it doesn’t feel like that. We have the infantino which is pretty comfortable but you cannot put it inside your bag and takes too much space that’s why I thought of getting Boba baby carrier for travel. I would still recommend it for its lightweight and for easy kept.

Absolutely love this carrier, super easy to use, wish id got it earlier when my little one was smaller and we were using the sling one. I love that its so lightweight and folds up into a zipper case, baby loves it too.
Would be nice if the black and grey were the same price though!

My 3, almost 4 month old HATES carriers (tried the lillebaby) but he enjoys this one. When I put him in it he didn’t like it, but within 5 mins he was sound asleep. He’s not tall enough for it yet so his eyes are covered when I put him in it. Very lightweight and fits in a purse

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy baby overheats easily which his eczema to break out really badly. This baby carrier is perfect because it is breathable and light! Easy to use and comfortable. I have been successful nursing while wearing the carrier. I just unclip the back and shuffle baby down a little bit and voila! I can nurse on the go. Amazing.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve been using an ergo carrier for the last year, but it’s been so bulky. I was looking for a more packable, travel-friendly carrier for my baby. We’ve flown probably every other month for the last year, and I was tired of lugging around a bulky baby carrier. This carrier really is compact, folding up nicely into its own little bag, and it’s comfortable to wear. I’ve been using it with my 13 month old and I really like how simple it is, and I feel like it gives me enough support to carry him around. It definitely does not allow for me to carry him forward facing, which is kind of a bummer. I was hoping I could just *make it work* but it really doesn’t. The bottom is so scooped it’s like a stiff seat that won’t bend well and allow them to forward face it just doesn’t work. Granted, this product says it’s not designed for forward facing so I kind of expected that. I still think it’s a great carrier. I mainly use this for travel and stashing it for hiking, quick grocery runs, so I always have a carrier with me if I need it. I love I can throw this in my bag and always have a carrier with me. Can’t do that with my ergo.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s light weight, basic, and made of a rain coat type material. I plan to use this in the pool this summer for my 10 month old when juggling my other two. It doesn’t have extra padding or anything. It is exactly as advertised- light weight and will dry easily. I’m 5’5″ and weigh 110 pounds and when I tighten up all the straps, it fits me fine.

I had the usual model and it was getting very old. We got this because for a short walk or a nap is great and nice support considering how light it is and easy to transport. I wouldn’t probably use as my main one if I was to but just one to use since baby is small but my toddler is nearly 2 and still very nice to use with her. Happy with the price

We LOVE the boba air carrier. Upgraded from the scarf wrap for more support for my growing baba, she likes to look around and this allows her the freedom to do that whilst being secure to me. Really quick and easier to put on and take off and store away.

Very comfortable and lightweight! I see why it’s called Boba air! I love how it’s easy to use and store. Durable and lasting as child grows and can wear on back as well. I like everything about it. My only dislike is the legs support maybe a little far fetch for my little one but still works good.

I never write reviews but I have never found a carrier I loved until this one! My baby is a couple pounds lighter than what is recommended but she loves it too. It’s so easy to use, you can have it on with baby strapped in in less than a minute. Also doesn’t hurt my back for extended wear times. I know it’s not in the instructions but i did use it in a toddler pool while chasing my 2 year old and it got submerged in water and I was not nervous about it and it dried so fast. Absolutely worth it. Just FYI you can not wear the child forward facing. Kind of a bummer but it’s still worth it.

The boba is a perfect carrier for “just in case” baby needs to contact nap or you are already taking a pram and other bulky items and don’t have the space or hands for another carrier or don’t plan on wearing the carrier the whole time.

It folds in on itself to a compact super lightweight little bundle. It’s made very well for something so lightweight.

My baby is on the heavier side but to get her from point a to b or to soothe her for a nap on the go this is perfect. When she is older we could even put her on our back.

The only thing I wish it could do is have het outward facing, but unfortunately I think structurally that isn’t possible – you wouldn’t be able to folding it so compact or lightweight to have that functionality, so for what it is meant for it is perfect.

This is our favorite carrier we’ve used. I’m a bigger woman with a large chest (46E) and this fits. It’s so much lighter than any other carrier we’ve used and baby girl loves it! We wore it for several hours and didn’t have any issues. I’m 5’3 & around 290lbs and still had some room once we fit it to me with baby girl in it. Highly, highly recommend! Especially for summer & warmer climates.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhen I tell you this carrier CHANGED MY LIFE I mean it. I’ve tried tons of carriers from bktan, to ergobaby to a plain cotton wrap & this one by far is the winner for me. My son is pretty giant.. he was 15lbs at 3m old & is now 31lbs at 10m old. I am 5’3 & 120lbs so he is quite a load and wants to be held most of the day so when I found this carrier it was a dream come true. We are pretty active so a huge plus for me is how compact this thing is. It takes up roughly as much space as a small makeup bag but it is still so incredibly comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

I loved the boba wrap when my little one was younger but as he grew it was a lot of weight on my shoulders and I was in pain. I finally caved and got a carrier, and I don’t regret it. It’s been amazing, I love the fact that once you’re done it wraps up into a tiny little thing. It’s smaller than the wrap. It’s so easy to use. If you’re a dad reading this, my boyfriend hated the wrap and would fail miserably if I didn’t help him, that being said he absolutely love this carrier. Would recommend!!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBest carrier ever! We love this thing so much and use it allll the time! We got it when she was 8 months old for an international trip and it was perfect! She is now 18 months old and we still use it often. On the trip it was great to have it be so compact when folded away. I was able to put her in the carrier when we had landed while she was still asleep and carry her all the was through customs and out and she stayed asleep all thanks to the top part to secure her head while I was hands free then!
Security also loved how thin it was because they can put us down easily and she can stay asleep. Happy baby =everyone in the airport is happy.
My daughter normally only can ever fall asleep in her bed but she falls asleep in this 99% of the time.
I love that it can be worn on the front or back, we use it front carry usually. I do wish that we could carry baby forward facing (as in baby facing out) but I understand why you can’t.
We asleep were able to wash it on delicate and hang dry after our trip and it is still great! Do not pass up on this baby item it is a must have!

    Must buy!

Didn’t realise it was for 3months plus so it’s still too big for my baby he vanishes into it.
Wasn’t as robust feeling as I expected, but it is nice and lightweight. Quite easy to get the baby in and out of, which some other carriers aren’t. Reasonably easy to adjust although I do wish there was more padding on the straps for my shoulders.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersNeeded a compact, lightweight carrier for traveling (and light hikes around Yosemite) with my 1-year-old daughter and this was perfect for our needs! I have an ergobaby 360 that I received for my son and have worn it maybe 3 times in 3 years. It’s huge, thick, not breathable, and impossible to travel with because it’s so bulky. It made me despise baby carriers, but this one changed my whole outlook. The Boba Air is made out of comfortable nylon, packs into itself, weighs nothing, and is super comfortable. When I was researching compact carriers, it was between this one and the Bitybean UltraCompact, so I ordered both, and the Boba Air was by far the clear winner. The Bitybean has ZERO support and I felt like I would have to hold my baby up the whole time to be comfortable. Bitybean packed up smaller, but not enough to make a significant difference to me. I also read that this version of the Boba Air has been updated from their previous carrier to include padding on the arm straps and padding where the baby’s legs fall. Thank goodness, because without it, I think it would have been super uncomfortable for both of us. I wore the carrier for several hours in 80- to 90-degree heat and never felt tired, hot, or uncomfortable. The only negative (and I think this goes for every compact carrier) is that you can’t wear the baby facing out. This wasn’t a huge issue for us yet (it might be in the future as she gets older), but if you have a curious kid who needs to be facing out, that will be an issue. I also tried wearing her on my back, but that position wasn’t as comfortable.

Let me start out by saying I love this carrier for what it is! Buying a carrier seems to be as complicated as buying a car – ALL the options!
I finally took the plunge and ordered the Boba Air after it was recommended in my baby wearing group.
This one I looove for its light weight and how compact it. I have not yet used it in the water, but I’m excited to do so! My little guy does not like the ring sling, so I started looking into this carrier to use around water. But now I love it for a quick run in the store and to just have it in my purse in case I need it.
The light weight is great and in the hot summer makes me and my little guy a lot more comfortable.
My guy is 6months and 18lbs, and i am pretty short 5′ 4″,so if I plan on wearing for a long time, I will opt for my more structured carrier even if it’s hotter. That’s about the only con I can think of, but I also expected that.
This one is for sure worth its money.
I did get the grey version, with the hope it will be less hot.

Really like this product, easy to use and carry around.perfect for travelling or on the go.
This new model is better for the baby leg (the previous was always living marks on my baby) but they should have make the bag a little bigger as is a bit hard to squeeze everything back in after the use.
Also the shoulder straps feel a bit rigid, hopefully they just need to get used a bit.

Last but not least, the baby gets a bit sweaty so I suggest not too use for long long walk. (But I think is a general problem of the slings)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have a lillebaby complete, moby wrap, a sling style, and a cheap infantino carrier. This boba air is amazing for carrying heavy baby around the house and during short outings. My 25 lb 8 months old baby sits comfortably in this on a hot summer day. She even fell asleep in it multiple times. It is surprisingly very comfortable compared to my well padded lillebaby complete and much cooler for both baby and mama. Highly recommend!

Hope the hood can be taken off tho because baby hates it on her head and when it’s put away in the pouch, the extra layer of fabric placed right on her back makes her hot.

I cannot say enough good things about this carrier!! My babe is super picky and has only liked being carried in the baby K’tan but since she is getting bigger I wanted something more comfortable for me. Enter boba air! I tried a few different ssc’s before ordering this one and she hated them all! This is the first buckle carrier I can get her to relax and go to sleep in! I love that it folds up into its little zipper pouch and has an attached hood! If you’re still on the fence just order it!

Very compact for travel. Only dislike is the shoulder straps are very wide and I am not a small framed girl, pretty average height and weight. Baby was very comfortable in carrier but I felt like straps were going to fall off my shoulders, had to wear as tight as it can go to feel safe carrying baby in it. Once you pull it all the way right the amount of strap hanging behind you is ridiculous.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Boba carriers were recommended by a friend who has a 4G. I tried hers and liked it but couldn’t afford one so thought I would try this cheaper version as it doesn’t look too different! However…The biggest disappointment for me is that the Boba air is made of nylon which looks and feels like a rain mac not the soft brushed cotton feel of the 4G! I tried it in the house for a short time and the baby although comfortable got very warm and sweaty. Her hair was all wet! The material is also slippy and the baby seemed to be slipping down into/below the waist band part which is not padded! I think the 4G has a padded waist band! Otherwise the design is very good! It is comfortable, easy to put on and take off and folds into itself and zips up few easy storage and would easily for into a bag or even a large pocket (if you have one)!
Unfortunately I have decided to return it to buy one which is not made of nylon!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had a Mei Tai wrap for my first baby but my second baby did not like it. I decided to give this a try and it is so much easier and faster to put on! I live in the south and it’s very hot here but the carrier is quite breathable. The two things I would change about it is having more structure around the waist band, like what the shoulder straps have, to make it more comfortable. And I would put a second clasp around the back to keep the arm straps from pulling forward so much, as others have complained about. It’s not the perfect carrier but it is quite good.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI am so impressed with this little carrier. I’ve been babywearjng for the past 6 years and own most of the big brands of carriers, and a lot of smaller brands, and I was so impressed with this.

I bought this to wear at the splash pad with older kids. Water play is not the intended use for this carrier, nor is it advertised as a water carrier, but I have many friends who love theirs for just that.

My lo is 8 months and 20 lbs and it fits very nicely. We do have a boba 4G carrier as well, and they fit very similarly. This carrier was surprisingly more supportive than I expected. I wore it around the house for about 30 minutes and kept thinking Baby would start feeling heavy, but he never did. I love that it has a hood, and it was definitely breathable.

I’m a plus size momma, US size 20/22 and this fits me with webbing to spare both in straps and waist. I was genuinely shocked. That is always a fear of mine when buying a new carrier, but this wasn’t awesome.

Overall this is not going to be the most supportive carrier you can buy, but I don’t think you can go wrong with if you need a budget carrier. This was much more comfortable than any of the other budget carriers I have tried.

So light weight and easy to use.
It easily folds into itself. I just toss it in my diaper bag and if I need it, I have it.

I have an ergo carrier that is bulky but more comfortable for longer walks walks baby carrying but it is incredibly bulky and inconvenient for short trips.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSimple, light weight, and easy enough to pack back into it’s bag. I bought this to assist with air travel when I need a free hand to bag my carseat and collapse the stroller on the jet bridge. It does the job of securing the baby well enough for me to have two hands free and bend forward. I definitely didn’t want a bulky carrier in the airport, and like being able to scrunch this up since I use a small diaper bag/backpack and only carry-on baggage. She is only 15 lbs, so I can’t say how comfortable it will be long term, but the convenience factor for travel is great. When flying, you are supposed to remove the baby for take-off/landing, but I just kept the carrier strapped to my waist the whole flight and it didn’t bother me at all. It was easy to quickly put the baby back in and deplane as a solo-traveler with a bag, stroller, and baby to handle.

The Boba Air is awesome! I only wish there had been a newborn insert for it so I could have used it sooner. As is, we had a pretty big baby who grew VERY fast, so he was quickly big enough to put in this at around 12 lbs (even though officially it says to wait until they are 15lbs). The key when they’re that little is to ensure they are up high enough and have a clear airwayas well as their chin is parallel to the ground rather than tucked down too much. As soon as we could use this, we had even more freedom to be active out and about with the baby. He loved it too! This was his favorite way to be held for quite awhile.

Bought the Boba Air in gray to take on a family vacation to MX. Absolutely so glad I did! My 2 year old average size daughter was comfortable as either Dad or I carried her in it throughout our trip. The day after we got home I wore her in it as I cut the lawn. She often fell asleep in it & it was comfortable even in a humid tropical climate. For such a sturdy carrier, it is super light and packs up into a small ball (zips into itself) I now keep it in her diaper bag and take it everywhere in case I need it. Worth more than every penny paid! Great quality- definitely would purchase again in a heartbea

I just received my Boba Air today in the mail. Really fast shipping thank you. We tried it indoor today while shopping and my babygirl was sweating a lot. I am doing a trip to Cambodia this December, can’t wait to see how this will feel. Hopefully it will be ok. Will probably do a new review once I get back from the trip. As other said, it’s really lightweight, easy to arrange the straps and baby fell asleep right away in it.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI had the 2014 version, which was far superior to the 2017 version. Previously we had two boba air for our twins. We could wear one on the front and one on the back. The boba air was light and compacted nicely in its case. We had sold our baby things and unfortunately our bobas because we now have a surprise third child. So, I bought the boba again and now have the 2017 version. So from vast experience I can say that the company has been sadly misled into widening the shoulder straps and adding this stupid mesh material. I really don’t get it. Now, I am not trying to fit another boba on my back but looking at the straps, I don’t see how I could comfortably.
Twin mamas sorry for you, the boba is no longer your ideal carrier. Good luck out there. And for my single baby, I do appreciate the padding around the leg hole, that is an improvement; however, it was never an issue before. Nonetheless, I can see the point of this. The mesh and the wide strap that bows out on my shoulder instead of forming to my body because it is so stiff is really useless.
I’m super curious why they messed with perfection. In any case I do appreciate the pocket in the front and the hood, which works really well. I do think the material is different than what I had before, which was more like a parachute material. This is stiffer so I will see if it is as nice as the previous version I had. I noticed the bag it comes in was a bit bigger than before, although not enough to be an issue. I assume that is because of these awful shoulder straps. Why?

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBrilliant quality and especially handy for travel or keeping in car/changing bag as it folds so compactly into its own pouch. Once initially set up with correct strap sizes and position it can be put on in seconds with no fiddly tying or adjusting. Very comfortable for both men and women and I have found no problems with stress or pressure on my back or shoulders. Has fit my daughter from 2-3 months and we still occasionally use it as a back carrier now she’s 2. We lost one and loved it so much we bought a replacement. Not sure if you’re supposed to but I have washed a couple of times on a low heat and comes up as good as new. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove love love this! I’ve tried a few different carrying options for my toddlers, this is by far the best and wish It had been around when they were even younger. My husband finds it easy to put on himself and described it as being just like a backpack but comfier! It adjusts well to different sized body frames / types, hes very slim tall and me who is very curvy and tall, also 16yr old very petite sister used it comfortably also. I can carry it with me in handbag or backpack it’s so compact.

I love carrying my baby. I primarily use a Beco Gemini, but it’s quite bulky to fold up and pack. When we were travelling recently I decided to pick up the Boba Air which folds into itself like an old school K-Way. It’s lightweight (good in the heat!), and very comfortable to wear. The padding around the leg holes meant my kiddo was happy, and the hood meant that I could keep him safe from the sun and / or support his head when he fell asleep. I now leave it in my car’s glove box so I have it with me when I’m on the go and don’t want to use the stroller. I only wish it let me do an outward facing carry as well – then it could be my only carrier!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLOVE this carrier. I have had several carriers, and this is one of my favorites. This one is not the one I would choose for long hikes, but it is perfect for a toddler that hikes and needs to be carried sometimes. I love that I can pack it down (super lightweight and folds up small) then when my toddler gets tired put it back on. I can easily hike about 2 miles with my toddler without any issues, but after that you can start feeling the weight more then with other more supportive ones. I have 2 kids under 3 and this has been perfect. I have another brand carrier I use as well, but I would highly recommend this carrier for short trips, toddlers, and as a 2nd carrier to have around.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot this as a spare as i love my Boba 4G. Tried it with my 2 year old (28 lbs) and she seemed happy in it – plan to use it on holiday with my newborn once she’s big enough. Very light and compact. So far so good 🙂
Also, it’s no substitute for the 4G, I wouldn’t use it all the time, but definitely fit for purpose.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic lightweight carrier, exactly what i was looking for. my previous carrier was good but so bulky it was a nightmare trying to fit it under the buggy/ in the backpack etc. Boba air is so compact I can fit it in my changing bag. it makes travelling so much easier. Saying that I would not choose to go for long walks or hiking trips with it. but it is perfect for shopping/airports etc.

I have had this carrier for a bit over a month now. Overall I am very pleased with this carrier. This is my second child and I have tried many different wraps, carriers, etc. Although this doesn’t have as much padding as the ergo, I find that I can wear it just as long. It stuffs back into its self contained pouch very easily. It’s light weight and easily fits into my very small diaper bag. This means I always have it handy and ready to use when my little one gets sleepy, or I need to run into the store. Me and husband easily switch back and forth with ease of strap adjustment. My baby always seems comfortable in this carrier, and we both love the built in hood for when he falls asleep. My one complaint is how the shoulder straps always bow in the back no matter how many times I readjust, I think this has to do with the materials used to make the straps. This summer has been extremely hot, and I believe this carrier has provided a lot of comfort for both me and my baby.

I love this thing! I have the Baby Bjorn Carrier One, which I really like as it is padded and comfortable and fully adjustable. However, it’s bulky and I wanted another that I could travel with internationally. I ordered the Baby Ktan Active in two sizes and they were pretty uncomfortable for me (one too tight and one too loose). The Boba Air is fully adjustable, which is why I think it is so comfortable. My 2 month old (who is just at the minimum weight requirement) loves it… she falls directly asleep as it’s a little womb-like. The hood is great as it protects her from the sun while out walking. When done, it folds up into a small little bag. Bravo!

Super lightweight. Packable. But I would not wear it very long. The straps are “padded breathable mesh” but the material is very scratchy and causes me to get a rash under my arm. I wear a lt of tank tops so maybe if I had aong sleeve on it wouldn’t make a difference. Also, the adjustments feel a lot cheaper made and I find it hard to pull them tighter. Which is important. I’m still going to keep it though! Great for the keeping in the diaper bag and it will be great for summer.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI was super excited for this new release since I use the old version almost daily. I was worried it would be too bulky folded due to the extra padding…and it is (see pictures). I am willing to forgo some purse space for it though since my child isn’t getting any smaller and I need the padding in the shoulders and for his chubby legs (30lb one year old). It is also more of a struggle to get it folded back into its pouch than the previous version. All this being said, I still love it and will be keeping it.
