Bosch Home and Garden Fontus GEN II Baretool

This machine has been every bit worth its price. Very happy with its performance. I work in the refrigeration industry has a very strong spray and is perfect of protable cleaning. Great value for money !!!

Um mir den lstigen und enttuschenden Waschstrassengang zu sparen, putze ich mein Auto selbst.
Das Gert ist eine sehr gute Untersttzung:
+ keine Kabel im Weg, da Akku
+ kein langer Schlauch im weg, da 15L Tank
+ 20 bar, also genug Druck um auch hartnckigere Flecken aus einem Stoffdach zu holen
+ mitgelieferte Aufstze die schon vieles knnen
+ Akku sowohl von Bosch als auch Gardena passend sodass man sich die Kosten sparen kann wenn schon andere Gerte im Haus sind
+ klein / handlich, passt in eine Ecke in die Garage oder Keller

– man muss, wenn keine anderen Bosch oder Gardena Gerte vorhanden sind einen Akku kaufen
– Aufstze (z.B. fr Reinigungsmittel) knnen fr wenig Geld nachgekauft werden
– sobald der Tank voll ist, ist das Gert schwer

also fr mich eine klare Empfehlung.

I gave up washing my car. Shock horrors you say, so why did I buy this?
The reason I bought this is that car washing at my house without a hose at the front of the house (where the car sits on the driveway) was really inconvenient. First either to use multiple buckets filled and carried from back to front or have the faf of S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G the hose to it’s limit from the back garden tap around the house to ‘near’ the car – could only do one side then had to turn the car around on the driveway.
I offered to buy one of these a few years back. I bought it without the battery as it was cheaper and I had batteries from the Bosch range that would fit. I then bought the higher ampage battery with charger as I found it on special offer but my ordered Bosch Fontus never arrived. The model I bought was the version ‘I’ cheaper than ‘II’ as it has a lower pressure and stocks of these were low and eventually I cancelled the order after it had not arrived 6 months later. The good news was that the battery fitted my other Bosch products and I decided to keep the battery for this reason.
I waited about a year. I wasn’t sure about spending extra for the Fontus II, thinking would I even use it having given up washing my car as reasoned above. It’s not a pressure washer in the normal sense. It does not have sufficient pressure to blast your paving stones to clean them of moss but what it is good at is delivering water at reasonable pressure, even at the lowest setting, to the supplied brush and upping the pressure to the highest setting will obviously use more water but can reproduce a reasonable hose pipe equivalent wash, great for shifting dirt from alloy wheels where the brush can’t reach.
Having waited a year I also considered that this would also be suitable for watering the potted plants at the front of the house. Some of these potted plants are suspended and even watering cans were difficult to raise high enough to perform the required watering.
So I purchased the mark II version and haven’t looked back. With the car in the street away from neighbours cars I can rinse my car fully if using the lowest pressure setting with the brush fitted. it’s so portable and the wheels make it fairly easy to pull the loaded water to the car. You can put it in the boot of the car to take to an event where washing bikes before loading them on car cycle carriers is useful but be aware it is heavy – I’ve not done this but storing it in my garage fully loaded with water has proven it does not leak.
I’m washing my car more often now. My neighbour passing thought it was great and I’ve now bought the additional adaptor for the pistol grip that allows water to spray car shampoo (or weed killer!).
It’s a shame the extra adaptor is not part of the original kit so be prepared to pay about 20 for it. I like the idea that the adaptor is easily fitted to the pistol grip and stay in place and pleased to say that it’s very easy to remove it when you want to.
