This really is a great little drill – all that the slightly suspicious “Vine” reviewers say it is ;-).
Compact, powerful and with a feeling of quality, I don’t regret spending the money. The only downside is that the case it comes in is ENORMOUS – and I mean ***HUGE***!!! I suppose I can see why (because it’s part of a system that stacks up to include other 12v Bosch power tools), but really – a nice neat little case would have complemented this nice, neat little drill so much better.
Initially purchased 120li but found it slightly underpowered for anything other than screwdriving. This model is double the price but well worth it in my opinion for the extra torque and the 3ah battery. Loved the compactness of this model which is why i chose it over an 18v drill and should be suffecient for 95% of jobs
At the time of this review this cordless combi drill with charger, additional battery and storage / carry case is 191.62 instead of the RRP of 256.57.
Now this is the professional side of Bosch hence the blue colour instead of the usual colour of green for the domestic tools.
It arrives very well packaged in a blue box that is suitable for stacking if you have other tools from the professional series. There is plenty of other room in the storage box if you have a few extra things you need to add in for a particular job.
This combi drill is a lot smaller than ones i have previously used but the the power and drive is still great. I find this a lot easier to use for longer periods of time as its not as heavy and i also find you can get into smaller spaces.
I love how you get the extra battery included and you don’t have to purchase it as an optional extra. The battery seems to last for quite a while and teamed with the extra battery you definitely get a good days work from them both. The drill itself has a battery indicator on too to warn you when its getting low, very useful feature, especially if this is your trade and you want to be prepared.
Overall yes this is an expensive piece of kit but the quality is fantastic and it is durable. I can see it holding up very well to professional every day use and it being truly reliable.
At the 200 mark this drill is surely not cheap but I can surely see the high quality of the product. With a 12V battery I was not expecting as much power as this little drill can give and except for the most demanding tasks, the Bosch combi drill can easily tackle most jobs around my home while keeping the weight and size to the minimum. Personally I would have prefer the carrying box to be a bit smaller since there is plenty of unused space. but some people might like the option to store further tools inside.
This little drill feels like quality the moment you pick it up. Firm robust and slightly heavier than you would think, but that because it’s solid and well made!
It has quite a bit of torque and great control.
The batteries are great long lasting plus 2 are supplied which I love as you can be using one whilst the other charges so it no longer stops work when the battery runs out
Excellent bit of kit comes in box with charger, 2 batteries and the drill. Instructions were also easy to understand. Great Value for money would recommend
This is a really good, little, drill driver. It is significantly smaller than the usual 18 volt offerings from Bosch, Makita and similar; this means that I find it ideal to keep in my tool bag (with a spare battery, but no charger as that is big) and is capable enough to drill into concrete or use as a low end impact driver.
I say that I don’t carry around a charger and the reason for this is that, unlike many competing products, this drill driver has a battery state indicator meaning that I am sure of how much power I have for the day.
The smaller size also means that it can get into much tighter spaces than my 18 volt tools; particularly useful for installing kitchens, of which I have done many, or hanging shelves.
All in all, an excellent tool, but at a premium orice point.
