After using Remingtons for a large number of years and having an old Braun series 3 I thought I would give a Series 6 a go. Well I wish I had bought this years ago. It’s comfortable to use and makes my daily shaving so much more pleasurable even with new foils/cutters on my old Remington it was never that comfortable on the skin.
Excellent shaver which shaves very close to the skin without any ‘pinching’. I had a Rotator shaver before which unfortunately stopped working.. A bit costly but fully worth the purchase price

I bought this shaver to replace my ageing Braun Series 3, with a rapidly deteriorating battery. Performance of this shaver is very impressive. You don’t seem to need much pressure on your skin at all to get a very close, comfortable shave.
Battery life is also impressive, giving about a month’s worth of shaves from a single charge. The only minor inconvenience is having the trimmer on a separate attachment. This doesn’t bother me as I use an old beard trimmer for trimming sideburns at home. I keep the trimmer attachment in my travel bag for when I’m away from home.
These shavers are still made in Germany and it shows in the build quality. Overall, highly recommended.
So far I’m very impressed with this shaver. The main point is that it gives me a very close shave with little effort.
The fact that the cutter/foil cartridge is a removal unit makes cleaning easy. I know many people disagree, but I like the idea of thoroughly cleaning the cartridge with water without getting the shaver body wet! Even though modern shavers are waterproof, I find it them a pain to dry out because a certain amount of water gets trapped inside.
All in all this is a great shaver.
Not sure battery charge is up to claims. Would prefer a closer shave
I chose this after looking at reviews, I moved from a rotary razor As that was not cutting close enough.
I have found this to cut a lot closer without chafing my skin
Some mentioned not being able to get close under the nose or by the ears, I have not had that problem.
The clipper adapter gets close enough to keep my side burns and round my ears as a neat and straight cut.

I’ve not used an electric razor for over 30 years but the increased costs and deteriorating quality of razor blades made me make the switch. I am liking this even though it can’t quite equal the closeness of a traditional wet shave. It’s a good weight, feels sturdy and the ‘floating’ heads do follow the skin. It takes a little longer to achieve an acceptable shave but I think that is down to me having used blades for so long.
The battery life is really good, I went almost 4 weeks before the recharge light came on, that is with shaving 6 days per week. Would I buy it again? At first I wasn’t sure but now I am happy with it and yes I would buy this model again.
Early days but very impressed so far. I have been shaving my head with various hair trimmers and have suffered with ingrown hairs. It nearly put me off trimming my head completely but my wife recommended this type of shaver so I thought to give it a try. Of all the braun models, this was the most expensive I wanted to go to. The supplied trimmer takes hair down to a good length before shaving. I do not apply much pressure and just go back and forth very slowly to give the blades a chance to cut properly. It does take abit longer than I expected but results are well worth it. So far have not had ingrown hairs after 2 shaves so this is a gamechanger for me.

Extremely good shave, the closest thing to a wet shave. Comfortable to hold, many shaves per charge, kind to your skin. I originally bought a Philips which was a complete waste of time and was returned to Amazon (without any hassle, thanks Amazon) the day after I received it. This Braun was more expensive but is well worth the extra ‘s. Highly recommended.
The shaver does not come with the stand alone charger!! I am disappointed but ha!Ho! .The shaver is the best one I have used. I always had Philips but after 2 wouldn’t run and one broke I decided to use Braun. I can recommend it but they are a bit pricy but….worth it.
I only wish I’d changed years ago as the shave is way closer than Philips and I have zero irritation on my skin.
I was recently diagnosed with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. One of the key things I was told is to avoid blades as any cut could be an infection point. So I knew I needed to replace my shaver. The braun is superb and I feel very confident I can at least have a close shave and feel better for it!

This is a good shaver for the price. It is excellent for a smooth close shave. I have been using Braun shavers for over a decade and this has not let me down. I recommend it.
The movement of the head is great for getting into the contours of the face and it does produce a fine smooth finish. The only negatives are the lack of a pop up trimmer (it does come with a separate trimmer attachment) and it doesn’t feel quite as substantial as my old 380S-4, which it replaced.
I bought this as a gift . Although there is a rather nice carry case included, there is no plastic cap to fit over the head of the razor. Having had such a cap on his previous razor, the recipient of this razor feels this is a lack
The most expensive shaver I have ever bought, but to be fair it is by far the best shave I have ever bought. When I want another shaver I will look again at these. I have the closest shave ever, the only odd thing is this design does not save the shavings in the top (they just vanish). Well done Braun.
Always wet shaved and tried my dads rotary Phillips 3 circled shaver which did not work so stuck with wet shave for years. I cannot grow thick full beard, and went for series 6 as meant for more sensitive skin. Totally happy and works really well. Yes I go over a few times but no stragglers and no issues very impressed. Maybe if I had heavier growth I would spend more and buy series 8 or 9. To be honest I think you need to do research and get a suitable shaver. One shaver does not fit all.
Really nice shaver and goes job for me. Like I mentioned if you have the best growth then you need best tool which is 7, 8, or 9. Very happy and does what I want. Would recommend you buy if suitable for your growth

I my skin felt perfectly smooth with no sign of roughness at all, just like a babies bottom!
If you haven’t used an electric shaver before, your skin will need to adjust – you may get rashes or other marks until it does so. This is perfectly normal, so if this happens to you, stick with it!
In the box came a case, the obligatory 2 pin charger (you’ll need to use an adapter) and a trimming comb.
It has a good colour, looks great and doesn’t swivel all over the shop (only up and down).
I think I know the brand and type of shaver I will by in the future!
