Stylish and comfortable shape to hold and use. Not too noisy and does the job very well
It comes with a two pin plug and a charging base that the shaver sits upright on. Has two heads, one for close shaving that contours your face and the other for trimming beards and cutting sideburns. Five comb head sizes, 1,2,3,5 and 7 for trimming beards.
The removal of the trimming head is a little clunky and fiddly. It doesn’t always go on first time or second or third but eventually does then it’s difficult to take off. Maybe it’ll get easier with use.
All in all it’s a good shaver. It’s better than the one he has anyway 🙂
My husbands been enjoying using this and says it’s very quick, easy and leaves skin smooth with no irritation. The battery life is really good and only needs charging once every couple of weeks. The device is easy to clean and the base keeps it stood up well. Would recommend!
I got this shaver for my son, who has expressed that this shaver is excellent. It is well made, as you would expect from the Braun brand and has an ergonomic comfortable design, which is pleasant to hold and move around your face.
The shaver gives a good clean shave and doesn’t cause any skin irritation.
Also included with this shaver is a couple of trimming tools for precision trimming of beards, for styling and shaping purposes. My son likes this, as he can maintain his goatee.
You also get a charging dock.
This is the Braun Series 6 Electric Shaver, it comes with a beard trimmer head, a charging stand, and a travel case that make it pretty portable.
Pros:
– It has an amazing grip, and is definitely non-slippery even in wet conditions. I held this with my wet hands and managed to use it with no issue. The textured sides give a decent grip.
– The head is quite flexible and this insures that it doesn’t press hardly on the skin. This is especially good for sensitive skin.
– It has quick charge ability which makes it handy especially when you suddenly want to go out and you only have minutes to shave.
– The extra beard trimmer head is not a gimmick and is indeed good for trimming with good precision.
Cons:
– I wish the stand was better in terms of design.
– The travel case doesn’t accommodate all accessories comfortably.
I am very surprised with this shaver in all my years of shaving my facial hair I have never had such a clean shave ever, my skin feels so smooth it feels weird but after a while, I have gotten used to it.
The shaver feels amazing to use due to the ergonomic design and construction speaking of construction the shaver has excellent build quality it feels like a premium device and it should for the price (159.99 as of writing), the accessories are a nice addition I especially like the charging dock as it presents the shaver in a more elegant manner also the shaver charges very quickly this morning it only had 1 out of the 3 lights showing (for capacity) I placed the shaver on charge I can back 20 minutes later and the shaver was fully charged I am impressed!!! The shaver does come with a hard case that is ideal for travelling as it will protect the shaver from bangs and scratches. Cleaning the shaver is also very easy thanks to the water-resistant design a quick rinse under the tap or a quick brush (whilst dry) with the included mini brush easily removes any hair build up on the shaver I have been using this shaver for over a month now and I am more than delighted with it, if you want to treat yourself or buy this a gift you or your partner will not be disappointed I highly recommend this shaver it’s brilliant!!!
For stubble trimming and cleaning up around the neck this is an excellent shaver. The booklet is like an old comic where it’s all pictures with no clear directive on how to do things, it’s all so ambiguous which I’ve found very frustrating in that you look at a picture and then have to guess and there is no details of caring for the razor in easy to understand language. It really spoils the experience of using it.
The shaver itself is really good m, it’s comfortable to hold at different angles and the head moves smoothly and can follow contours easily and gives a close shave.
It comes with attachments to use as a trimmer which I use a fair bit to keep my neck tidy.
The build quality is excellent, I’ve been very impressed with it, using it in the shower is good and it performs almost as well in water than dry, it is more sticky to the skin and the hairs don’t stand up as much to trim stubble in the shower so I wouldn’t recommend it but I’ve had really good results using it.
It’s pricey but the quality is superb, I’d recommend this for the versatility alone.
Through my life I’ve kind of flitted between wet shaving with a traditional razor, or using an Electric Shaver.
I’ve always found that I preferred the convenience of the electric shaver, ie turn it on and shave, as opposed to having to lather my face and shave. The down side to this is that in my opinion, I had never found an electric razor that shaved as close as wet shaving.
So that’s the primary question here for me. Does it shave as well as a wet shaver? Well, it’s the best electric shaver I’ve owned. I’ve owned double rotary head. Triple rotary head. Single wide foil. They all did shave me, I looked presentable with all of them. This is so close to wet shave results though. It’s really ..really close to achieving the same finish. I do struggle to tell the difference as long as I’ve done a good job with this.
The product has some nice extras. It comes with it’s own moulded foam travelling case which is very nice. It comes with a trimmer and beard trimmer attachment which you can use instead of the foil. Obviously it comes with a plug (although a 2 pin one that will require an adapter from your favourite chemist) and also a charging stand which it sits in while charging.
It’s easy to clean. Just remove the foil by pulling it off gently and give it a rinse. Job done.
Battery life is good. I’d say it lasts around an hour. The battery life indicator – three dots – is a little disappointing for something with (at time of writing) a 229.99 RRP and 114.99 selling price. Even 4 dots would be better, but can we not manage a digital display? Well, we can it just makes the price more presumably. Who buys a shaver though based on the battery life display?
The full RRP would make it a luxury item really. I don’t think I would pay that. If you can get it for 120 or under, you’re going to have a very good electric shaver that will give a really nice smooth finish when shaving and that I expect to be using for quite a while. I wouldn’t have been disappointed if I’d paid 120 for this at all and I’m certainly happy to recommend it.

I needed an upgrade as the electric shaver I had was previously my dads from about 7 years ago so I felt that it was about time to get myself a upgrade and an upgrade it certainly is. I have quite sensitive skin so this was ideal for starters. It has different heads for different types of shave. Battery life is long, it comes with a great stand/charger. Overall I’m very impressed.
As described and as advertised.
Excellent brand with a good reputation at least in our eyes.
Well packaged and presented and this would make a nice gift.
Well designed from an ergonomic perspective – not usability issues and comfortable to hold and use.
Cordless and suitable for dry and wet shave as it’s 100% waterproof.
We love the quick charge option but…. the battery life could be better as the three weeks adding up to 50 minutes suggests we take too long shaving!
We like the easy to change heads and the beard trimmer but the shave isn’t as good as a bladed wet shave and we’d use this for a normal WFH shave but have a wet shave on days going into the office etc.
I gifted this shaver for my partner to try as he likes the brand and always uses his other electric shaver. He highly recommends this shaver and hasn’t used his other one since. He says it doesn’t pull or tug, and shaves very close to his skin, the closest he’s managed with an electric shaver. It comes with an extra attachment for beard trimming. He’s very happy with this shaver and wasn’t disappointed!
Blimey, 165 – Braun may well be the brand leader of all things electronic but wowser, this is expensive. My husband had another, very similar style shaver (big name brand beginning with P) and the cat managed to knock it off the basin onto the tiled floor. It’s survived knocks before but this time simply shattered. So I leapt at this and he’s not disappointed, far from it – this hugs all the contours of his face with such deceptive ease, he can dry shave in minutes and a wet shave leaves him smooth as silk. Nice for me!
It’s clever, of course, and the technology is ace as you’d expect. Butit’s definitely an easier shave than his lamented, broken P word one, which was half the price as it’s effortless to use and needs only the lightest touch to move it around his face. Is it worth twice as much? No, not really, in husband’s estimation. Impressive, and would make a generous Christmas present, but costly, very much so.
Braun is a well established and trusted brand in the UK.
It would be almost impossible to browse through any Health & Beauty or Electrical departments and not come accross this particular brand.
This is a Braun Series 6
Senso flex
Model – 60-N4500CS
It has 3 flexible blades
Swivelhead
Wet/Dry option
Quick Charge – 50 minute use off 1 hour charge
Unfortunately, this is supplied with a 2 pin plug and no 3 pin UK adapter.
Although this may not be a major problem to some of the people residing in the UK, as some bathrooms have this type of wall plug already installed.
For others, like my father, this plug hasn’t been integrated into his bathroom, and he doesn’t possess a 2 to 3 pin plug converter, so the option to use this shaver has been delayed until an adapter has been purchased.
It’s relatively so much safer in hands than many others I guess.
My father in law had a spinal injury recently hand had some neurological issues to hand. He likes to be independent as much as he can and this is so much suitable to him.
The shaving is so close and smooth especially after a trim with minimum length of the hairs.
The contours of the face are well covered thanks to the flexibility of the shaver head.
Overall, it’s great product without a doubt.
There is a charging stand but I feel it is totally redundant for my opinion unless you want to showcase your hair trimmer/ shavers to others.
The charger can be directly plugged in to the shaving set to recharge anyway.
This is such a good shaver and the Braun brand does not disappoint. As you would expect it’s very good quality and works very well as well as having a long battery life and excellent quality accessories .
I’ve had electric razors in the past and the results have not been up to the standard of a traditional wet shave.
Well things have moved on and this product from Brain delivers first class results with the minimum of fuss. The flexible foils do a great job of following the contours of your face and leave your skin feeling really smooth.
The beard trimming accessory is easily installed and does the job of both edging and clipping to length extremely well.
Can be used wet or dry but I found a quick dry shave was all that was needed for great results.
Recharges quickly and has impressive battery life.
One point to note: my product came with a European two pin plug so you’ll need an adapter for use in the UK.
Recommended.
Braun is a huge name in shaving and has been for decades.
This uses SensoFlex technology which makes the blade swivel to follow the contours of your face with a very light touch. Shaving whilst reducing the possibility of nicks and cuts
This is priced at a similar price to other leading brands and comes with its own case
This Braun series 6 has really made a difference due to its convenience, the shaver is very easy to use, feels good against your skin, my husband has used electric shavers in the past but have not had the good result of this model, you can wet shave with it which is a great feature, perfect for taking on holiday with you & battery lasts well also.
If you’re looking for a razor that you can literally grab, switch on and start shaving with minimal amount of thought, this is going to be a great option.
The best piece of technology on this razor is what Braun call their ‘SensoFlex’. This essentially means that the blade swivels and moves to ensure there is minimal pressure on your face, allowing you to get into even more intricate areas, whilst at the same time making sure you don’t end up cutting yourself.
I found this technology to be excellent and I had absolutely no few of cutting myself with this razor even when dry shaving.
I equally enjoyed how comfortable this razor is to hold. It has a well thought-out grip, that means it’s easy to hold on to even when it’s vibrating and you’re maneuvering it about.
Charging is easy with the included stand, which you can leave on a shelf in your bathroom and simply turn on the plug and place the razor into it when it needs charging. The batteries pretty good though, you should get around 40-60 minutes from it, so charging for me will hopefully only be about once a fortnight.
In the box is an array of heads. These use Braun’s ‘one click’ technology, which means that you simply click them into place and click them out of place with just a single click. It’s all quick and easy and means if you have different lengths on different parts of your face then it’s only going to take a few seconds to swap over the head.
Most importantly, the finished shave is even and can be as close as you like. The asking price for this razor may not be the cheapest out there, but it does a very good job at providing plenty of value to justify its price tag.
This model sits around the middle of the range, it comes with a trimmer and comb attachments but not the self cleaning charge stand. Instead it has a smaller stand which only charges. I find it comfortable to hold and the head has great flexibility, more so than my older 3 head shaver. Its easy to use but I find the shaving parts being set into a wide surround of plastic makes shaving under the nose harder as the plastic surround gets in the way, whereas if the blades sat closer to the edge of the shaver it would be easier.
I always tend to get a little shaving irritation with a new shaver or if I’ve not used one for a while. This was no different, but not as bad as some as I found I didn’t need to rub as much over the face moving in lines rather than a circular motion of my older shaver. I did use the trimmer attachment first to reduce hair length to a stubble, which made it easier. Although I’m not a big fan of loads of attachments and would prefer an integrated pop up trimmer. Its great that its waterproof and can be used in the shower which makes it easier if running short for work and can shower at the same time. Cleaning is a little fiddly, which I find often the case with electric shavers, not sure if the cleaning station which comes with some of the Braun models makes this easier. A digital display although quite basic, and for this price would have expected a battery percentage indicator to give a more accurate battery life display. Having a 5min quick charge takes away some of the battery anxiety as its easy to top it up prior to shaving without waiting too long. Overall I found the performance ok, it has some good features it worked fine on my facial hair, and although I have tried more powerful shavers I found this gave less irritation and glided easier over my face.
It is easy to be won over by its ease of use and versatility. Beautiful design, simple maintenance and excellent battery.
Good build quality and ergonomic: it has a good grip and equipped with a single button for on / off.
The large enough display indicates the charge level.
The base takes up enough space and is difficult to place on the sink.
Besides a good battery life it has an imposing presence, combining colours and imposing lines that make it very elegant.
It has impressive power, it is one of the devices belonging to the high-end of this German brand.
Delicate that treated my skin in a spectacular way.
I am a very lazy shaver. I only ever use an electric razor. Never a wet shave. Often let stubble get that bit too long so electric shaving is a painful chore. This really helped my shaving habits. The beard attachments were more than enough to sort my long-stubble-not-quite-proper-beard moments. Still not totally pain or rash free but I think that’s more my over sensitive face then the razor itself. I suspect there’s lots more it is capable of if you’re in need of very precise shaping and tidying. For my modest and lazy needs it is great. Super smooth! Glad I trialled this!
This is a pretty good shaver.
My old shaver was a rotary one that required you to move the razer in circles and so on. This behaves much more like a “manual” razer, which is good because its much more accurate and gets into annoying places like underneath the nose
It is also very nearly as quick as a wet shave manual — indeed the lack or any requirement for the face to be wet probably makes it a near overall tie, when it comes to time.
The set also comes with a minimum of plastic junk — which is good. Too often these devices seem to try to justify their cost with a boxload of accessories of dubious value. The only pointless item here is probably the stand. I mean — seriously — why? Do you need to display your razer upright on a stand that it is pretty much certain to fall off?
There is a beard trimmer about which I cannot comment owing to the lack of a beard.
The instruction book comes from the IKEA school of instructions — that is lots of fun and informative pictures that you are meant to interpret. One — concerning the use of the beard trimmer for erm.. non-beard use – stands out. Not sure what it means. Not planning to find out.
