When I first used this product I did love the immediate result and they lasted over a week. However if you like to be constantly smooth this is not the product for you. I found that when I used this it would only focus on darker and thicker hairs and ignores any hairs that are light. This means that on my legs the parts that are lighter aren’t as smooth as what can be achieved with a razor. For the bikini area this is amazing and the results lasted almost two weeks, but for the arm pits and leg hairs unless you wait for a full growth hairs are missed. Also make sure to exfoliate!

I like everything about this device.
Even using the epilator head isn’t too painful when compared to my previous device!
Charging is quick and I can state with absolute certainty that the battery, fully charged, lasts between the manufacturer’s claimed 30 minutes and, when lightly used – a quick spot of pubic topiary rather than a full on session of epilation – 57 minutes.
Operating the device is simple, the instruction book covers everything that we need to know and even the watch the device looks is pleasing to my eyes.

I recommend this wholeheartedly and it is now my second favourite, pink thing that vibrates and makes me happier after use than I’d have been before.

Disclaimer: this is a personal appearance improving product, any other uses found by the user are simply a bonus!

Why are you all still here? Buy one now and marvel at the device’s range of skills.

If only I’d found this sooner, I would have prevented myself from the time spent using a far less capable type of machine.

So pleased with this Epilator, wish I’d bought it years ago. I’ve always waxed my legs & previously used to have them sugared, I would say that this Epilator does as good a job if not better. I expected to feel a bit of a twinge same as waxing but was pleasantly surprised, I used it on wet skin, definitely recommend it.

Firstly as others have stated, this does not come with a UK plug, and therefore an adapter is required (Which can be found on amazon for less than 5).

Aside from this issue, which is CLEARLY STATED in the description despite what some reviewers have stated, the item is epilator is excellent, easy to use and comfortable.

I have used epilators before but not for a long time, yes it hurts a bit the first time you use it especially if you’ve not waxed or shaved in a while, I’d recommend doing it in stages and taking breaks on first go, once the hairs thinned out and as long as you don’t leave too long between uses (say a week or two) you won’t have that initial overwhelming ‘ouch’ as with epilation I’ve found the hair doesn’t tend to all grow back at the same time as with shaving, I found this particular epilator leaves me with long lasting smooth legs and if you can get through the first use it’s definitely worth continuing to use, I don’t like using razors for multiple reasons and I haven’t used one now on my legs for over a month.

I have always feared epilators, and as a beginner, this was the perfect set for me. The set includes 4 accessories: an epilator head, a beginner head, a shaving head and a mini electric razor.
I found all of the accessories useful when epilating for the first time.
I did not find this a painful experience and I have very sensitive skin. I really love how I can epilate and shave in the shower, which can be more soothing. I would recommend trying the product at night as it can cause inflammation.
The wireless feature is SO helpful as I can easily access any angle of my skin and I can take the product anywhere I want to.
Overall, I found this so useful and is one of the best purchases I have made.

I’ve been waxing my legs for years so I really don’t find this painful at all on my legs. It’ll take abit of getting used to on my underarms though.

I’ve not used an epilator since the 1980s so I was pleasantly surprised by how small and comparatively quiet this is.

It does a good enough job but it doesn’t pick up very fine hairs.

I love a Braun Silk-Epil – this is my 3rd one (my last one lasted 10 years). They are built to last and they are so good. The battery life is great and I like the duel speed and the light that helps to show the little hairs. I really only use 2 of the attachments but each person has different needs. I really like these and they are pretty painless (to me anyway).

Never used an epilator before, this is BRILLIANT! First time a little stingy, but doesn’t hurt at all after a couple of goes. Only have to use twice a month. The best thing with this set is you also get the electric shaver and trimmer- perfect for the other areas!

So glad I opted for an epilator / shaver combination as it’s so versatile and useful, the extra little shaver is handy too but I feel it’s much easier to nick yourself with that than with the shaver attachment for the epilator itself. Really pleased with the purchase and results so far.

I’ve been waxing my legs for years but found that doing it myself was time-consuming and messy and getting it done professionally was equally time-consuming and expensive. I thought this epilator could solve my problems… And it has! I find it pretty painless (although I have been getting waxed for many years so that might help), it’s quick and easy to use. Personally I find that using it wet hurts less but seems to be less efficient (gets less hairs meaning you have to go over the same area multiple times, which means it also takes longer) and doing it dry hurts a tad more but is far more efficient.

One star deducted since it only has a bathroom plug and this wasn’t made clear when purchasing. Wasn’t too much of a issue but did have to buy a adapter which was around 4.

Does the job very well and you don’t get the little blotches on the legs like with some. The main criticism I have is the charger plug does not fit any 2 pin adapters or leads I have to charge it on the bathroom mirror plug. It can be fully charged when put away but does not hold the charge even if just a few weeks later, so you have to charge before every use, hassle!

A complete set for shaving and epilating.
The package comes with two main components: the epilator and shaver with several (4) heads, and a bikini styler.
The downside of the package is for sure the charger: it doesn’t come with a USB plug, but only a 2-way plug (not so common in the UK).
The strong point is the battery included for the bikini styler.
All the heads have different purposes, and all of them wor perfectly as expected.
Braun always delivers good quality product worth purchasing.

I tried this product in the shower for the first time today (first time epilating too!) and was pleasantly surprised – I was expecting something quite painful due to what others have said on the reviews, but it truly isn’t. I’ve only done my legs this time, but there weren’t any issues and I made sure to use hot water at the same time. I read that hair growth becomes less with repeated use, which is a bonus. I’m looking forward to using it again, it really was quite therapeutic! lol Highly recommended, it’s a sweet device and the waterproof feature is a huge bonus 🙂

Epilation is not pain free, no matter what anyone says. However when you use this device in the water, it’s absolutely manageable and seems to have good results. Some hair are snapped rather than removed by the root so you will need to use the device more often to start with, but eventually you’ll be able to epilate once a month and have lovely smooth legs.

Charged it for 5 minutes when i first got it to try it out and it lasted ages. I’m a first time epilator user and it does hurt but its bearable and it doesn’t hurt in areas that I’ve tweezed for years anyway. Brilliant choice, only thing is does come with a 2pin plug but an adapter is only 2/3 for the UK

Well! It’s Money well spent. I was really struggling while doing my legs, then they were irritated and hot for two day. Epilator doesn’t remove all off hair you really REALLY need to go Slow and very careful to have anything done. It’s much harder then you would think, but my legs are (mostly) smooth for a week now so that’s really different from shaving. I did my stomach today and it was much better and easier than legs. Plus !! The shaver and trimmer heads are great! Easy to use. It comes with bikini styler which I like as well. Overall- you need practice and patience but it’s a great device – perfect for beginners

Ever feel the need to self-harm but are too proud of how long you’ve gone? (6 months last week, huzzah)
Bored of buying razors or spare razor blades and having to remortgage or rob a bank each time?
No more with epilators.

Seriously though. For what you spend on razors and soothing gels for razor burn/bumps, you save so much and epilators seem to discourage your hair from growing at all eventually, so it’s all a win win.

I will say it was interesting to find that it was more painful doing my armpits than my bikini area (it’s super easy to clean!) when I expected it to be the other way round. Go figure.

Charge it for an hour or so, then tear out your hairs with about 20 sets of tweezers in a tenth of the time. You will need to buy one of those bathroom plugs (the shaver ones, with the 2 prongs) unless you have a shaver plug in your bathroom. The initial charge lasts for about 4 hours, which is more than enough time to regret ever deciding to go for hair removal instead of full sasquatch.

I’m a guy so I get pretty hairy, I got this and used it when I had longer hair, big mistake! It hurt.

What I would recommend is using the shaver attachment first going with the grain, and then using the non-beginner cap, which is the one without wheels. This lessened the pain and actually feels weirdly satisfying

The only complaint I have is that it does miss some hairs which can be a little annoying, this seems to be on areas like thighs where the body fat might be higher, so if you have a low body fat % this epilator would probably work perfectly, otherwise I suggest holding your skin tight so that it can get better grip

Definitely avoid the bikini trimmer as from what I have read it seems to hack peoples skin up pretty good and it kinda seems like a waste of money when the Epilator itself comes with a shaver attachment that functions identically (and you don’t need a AA battery for it)

Overall, if you follow the instructions you will be good!

First off I’d like to start by saying that when it comes to hair removal I’m a complete wimp. I once attempted to wax myself at home, put all the strips on, ripped the first off and then got in the shower to melt the rest of the wax! Also, when I told a family member I’d bought an epilator they actually laughed at me. I’m THAT bad.
I just want to point out that those who’ve said it’s ‘painless’ or they can ‘barely feel it’ are either lying or have some kind of nerve damage because it definitely hurts- but no where near as much as epilating used to, or waxing does. It’s definitely bearable, it’s just very uncomfortable the first few minutes but your body gets used it. I’ve found epilating in the bath really makes a difference!

Back to the review:
It’s easy to use
Battery lasts about an hour
Waterproof which can make the experience less painful
Includes a great electric razor for the bikini area
A lot easier and less time consuming than shaving- your skin also feels a lot smoother
Overall a great product

The only downside is it comes with a shaving plug, not a mains one like some reviews mention but you can buy one from Amazon for around 3 so it’s not the end of the world (like some have made out)

I bought this because my more expensive epilator broke just before christmas and I was starting to look like I should be in a circus.
Thankfully, this worked incredibly well. It didn’t hurt as much as my last epilator and the only negative is that it could do with a clear light to help you see what you’re doing.

The additional trimmer is a great bit of kit and is handy to trim up unsightly hair.

It was great value and is effective.

I was a little apprehensive using an epilator for the first time but I needn’t have been.

I used it on my legs that were waxed 5 days ago and I had a few hairs coming through. It just tickled but didn’t hurt.

I plan on keeping on top of the regrow thing now so I won’t have to epilate long hair. I started with the epilator head with the massage and then went on to the standard head and increased to high speed all in the first time trying.

I’ve ordered an exfoliating mitt to help encourage hairs through.

So happy I bought the exfoliator, just wish I’d taken them plunge sooner!

Brilliant product. Hurts like hell the first time you use it so be prepared if you’re new to epilating, but this product works well. It charges quickly and the charge lasts well. There is a shaver option which is suggested for new users which I can’t comment on having not used, and also a massage head option which is also supposed to be gentler but I found that the extra time it takes to pull the hairs adds to the discomfort so I use the double speed on the standard head. The brush is useful for clearing the hairs away, and, although it took a while to calm down the first couple of uses, the irritation to my skin has been much less than with shaving. Would definitely recommend this.
