I don’t use all the bits that came with it I find them unnecessary but the epilator works very well.
After less than 18 months old with what I would call average use. Once or twice a month the main head is blunt and does not pluck
Easy to use, comfortable and quick compared to my old one.
Comes with very handy accessories , bought as a present for my wife and she really liked it. Price is also fair and comes with a nice pouch for extra stuff. I would highly recommend it .
Though it’s a bit expensive it is so worth it ! I’ve always struggled with hair removal but this is great as it doesn’t nick me, or irritate my skin like shaving has. It is also painful but only for the first time. Then your skin really does get used to epilating. I also have a few tips that I wish someone gave me:
Tips for epilating:
1. Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate! You can get ingrown hairs from epilating so exfoliating is a must.
2. If you have sensitive skin like me then using aloe vera gel after epilating really soothes the skin and cools it down. Plus aloe vera gel is natural and inexpensive.
3. Clean your epilator with the little brush provided. This keeps the epilator clean and help pull out more hairs.
Though the epilator head works great the shaver head can’t give you a close shave but it is still great for trimming.

Arrived on time in excellent conditions. This is the best epilator I have ever bought. Has multiple attachments , so you can choose your preferred choice for different parts of the body . It’s overall pain free & a must have for anyone who likes staying hairless!
It works like magic , must have for everyone who hates wasting time and money on waxing and going for appointment! I should have bought it years ago
After my old one stopped working unless it was plugged in I decided to treat myself to a new one. I have had my eye on this one for awhile now and I am so glad I took the plunge and bought it! It comes with lots of little accessories to use with it for exfoliating and other things it also comes with a little bikini trimmer and a bag to keep everything in. Love it would recommend to anyone thinking of buying one!
Fantastic product. Great epilator, shaver and attachments. I love this and much to my surprise, I barely felt a thing when epilating my legs although I am used to waxing them which has desensitised them to some degree. I also did my upper lip with minimal pain and a fabulous result. Best to epilate when skin is softer after a bath or shower, I find.
The first time using it was indeed hellish, I had to tell my daughter not to worry about the shouting/screaming, and after completing my lower legs and under arms, yes sadist, I had legs that looked like uncooked chicken skin!!! A few days later, and much moisturiser, I had beautiful smooth legs. Lasted nearly a week, I was delighted. 2nd time using was considerably less painful and much quieter- me.
Since I have used it regularly, now only every 2-3 weeks its so much more like using a normal shaver but with excellent and longer lasting results.
Not used in the shower as I don’t trust the mix of water and electrical equipment, not with my luck anyway although I’m sure it is fine.
The exfoliating attachments are a bit rubbish tbh but the epilator itself is worth every penny x
I’ve used an epilator in the past, about 10 years ago, so I knew to expect a certain level of discomfort. However, the pain level was so much lower than what I expected!
The device needed fully charging before use when it arrived, which was fine by me as it arrived in the middle of the afternoon. Once charged, I’ve done both my legs whilst sitting in my bedroom in about half an hour. And a week later, I was still relatively smooth so only needed to go over my legs quickly – took about 10 minutes which is perfect for me. I have 3 children so don’t have the time to put in more effort.
It’s easy to use, cordless and relatively pain free. I’m so pleased with this product!
Remember ladies, that your hair goes through different growth cycles and each follicle of hair may be in different parts of the cycle, hence why in the beginning, you may be using it more because you’re catching the follicle in a growth stage, rather than a resting phase. But with regular, continued use, you’ll notice the hair growing less sparse and much finer.
Brilliant – never thought it would be this good at picking up the finest and tiniest of hairs. The head manipulates to the contours of your skin and it’s much less painful than my previous Braun epilators that were much cheaper.
Have used an epilator for years, my last corded one wasn’t doing the job so went with this instead. Doesnt work while plugged in but once charged it holdsa charge for a reasonable amount of time, enough for me to do everywhere. Have to say its the best epilator I’ve ever used would highly recommend. Almost pain free compared to others I’ve used as well

This was my first epilator and I was really impressed with this set! The first session can take longer and be a bit painful, but stick with it because subsequent uses are much quicker and easier. I’ve done a mix of waxing and shaving in the past but will be using the epilator from now on.
It is a nice quality product though. If you are accustomed to epilating, then you will probably not regret buying this. However, I have splashed out on a Lumea Prestige IPL device instead.

I can’t cope with pain but with this one I can barley feel any discomfort.
A lot of extras a well very useful
shorter hair wouldn’t come off and you would need to go through the area several times
the brushes are nice an your skin gets with a renewed glow after use
I really feel Braun should start making products with UK plug as an option

The grey pouch is soft to touch and big enough and doesn’t look like a dirty old sad little thing like some other white plastic ones and has enough space for all the accessories but, of course, if you put all together you’ll have to look for them inside it
the little razor for the bikini area could be rechargeable as well
I prefer the dry epilation process but it works wonderful in the shower too. Cleaning the heads of the device is effortless too.
I had the plug adaptor before but Amazon will wisely suggest buying it too, in case you do not possess one, as the product is produced in Germany.
I brought the 13 pieces pack which came in a high-quality package with a silky-leather effect storage bag.
I am sure that the item will satisfy the most exigencies and I strongly recommend it!
After having waxing and threading done for years, lockdown forced me to seek alternative methods of hair removal. I had never used an epilator before so did lots of research. Have found this excellent. It’s a great all round epilator, good for face, leg and bikini area.
One thing to note is that it doesn’t come with a mains plug. It’s a shaver plug so needs a socket or adapter to charge.
New out of the box and not charging. I have arranged to send it back for a repair but understandably disappointed. I had a similar one so know they are great shavers and this one comes with lots of good extras. It would be value for money if working!

I had a Silk Epil 6 before. Decided to buy the SensoSmart version now even though I have experience, and I don’t regret it. I scratched myself with the previous one when I turned the device around in some angles. The new special head have protected me from that so far 🙂
* Battery Life:
The battery lasts for me for two full body sessions.
* Exfoliation Head:
As I read some other reviews I didn’t expect a lot. It’s fairly gentle, so it can’t harm your skin but won’t take out so ingrowths.
* Shaving Device:
Shaves close to the skin. Doing a great job. I sometimes struggle to turn it on. Not sure if a new AA battery would help with this…
This review is written by Peters wife. I have used epilators for years. This is the best one I have ever owned. I use it on legs, upper lip and bikini line. It is so lovely being cordless as you can use it anywhere. Comfortable to hold, quiet, effective at removing really short, fine hairs. I cannot praise this enough. I got it in a sale so I am extra happy at the price although I would have paid more.
The first time I did my underarms I was in pain for 2 hours but since then I don’t have any problems, the hair grows less and less. I’m not exaggerating, I think I get 4-6 hairs under each arm after so many years of using it so ladies, it’s totally worth the money and the initial pain. You’ll save much more after! Bought to replace another Braun Epil that started to show wear and tear after 13 years’ frequent use! I debated whether the basic model would suffice but got this one for the exfoliating heads and am so pleased I did! As always with a set like this I won’t need all the accessories but am very impressed with the waterproof, cordless epilator – wider head so more efficient, and less sting in the shower! And the shaver and exfoliating heads are brill. Put it this way: a stranger stopped me at the gym to enquire about the light coming from my shower cubicle and I spent 5min saying how brilliant this is. Do it. Treat yourself to smooth legs and tidy everywhere!
I tried everything that came in the box today and I am really happy with my purchase. The mini trimmer is such a nifty little thing for bikini line and facial hairs. It works well but you have to use a good light when trimming facial hairs and your bikini line to make sure you don’t miss any areas. It’s light and easy to manoeuvre. I have quite fine facial hair and standard bikini-line hair so the true performance of this tool would probably be determined by the thickness of your hair. The thicker or courser the hair the more you’ll have to go over the surface area.
I epilated my legs and forearms as well. Yes ok it stings but I find it less painful than waxing. You’ll need to set a good amount of time aside to do a good job at grooming. It plucks most of the hair out but does require going over the surface area more than once. I shaved my armpits too. I couldn’t gather the courage to epilate the armpit but the shaver works equally as well as a razor in my opinion.
I also used the brushes. Loved how soft they are to touch and the exfoliation is gentle.
The downside with this product is grooming time is a lot longer than razor shaving or salon waxing.
Hopefully this product won’t fail to impress and perform but I do recommend 🙂
This is my 4th epilator….been using them for a long time. I have been using Braun for a long time now….never disappointed!! Got this one to upgrade. Amazing, as usual. Once fully charged, works for days.
I love it!!! Virtually pain free, lasts ages before needing to be charged. Gets even the really short hairs and has saved me so much money as I no longer need to get my legs and under arms waxed. Fantastic quality, good value for money and would 100% recommend.
It is more than I have imagined. Better than waxing, twizers and depilation creams. I’m extremely happy with this product and I would highly recommended it to every lady with hairy issues; -) including those on face.
This is a good epilator. It catches more hair first pass than most, and somehow seems to be less painful too (I’m used to epilating though – if you’ve not done it before, it will hurt regardless of which epilator you choose). The light is really useful.
I love it.. if you are used to waxing this is no more uncomfortable. Great to take on holiday if you need to for the stray hair or two. The exfoliating brushes are a plus.. not sure about the light?? Does it make a difference, maybe if your hair is darker, or there is a power cut!!
Works great for me. I do have thick hair, still works well. Especially harsh rashes of waxing, my skin being quite sensitive. It does take 1-2 rounds to get used to it… But if u have been waxing, this is not much different. It’s works better n less painful on wet skin for me. Thi you.
The pressure sensors don’t work and it’s not better than any of the previous models. I went from model 5 to 9 and I can’t find a difference except for the extra 60 pounds and the fact that it’s wireless
I already have an old silk-epil 7 skinspa which I’ve had for probably 6 or 7 years and is therefore a bit tired so thought I would replace with this later version as on offer for prime day. I haven’t used it yet but I’m so glad it’s a replacement for the same brand as it DOES NOT COME WITH A UK BATHROOM PLUG!! It’s 2 pin yes but not UK no idea where it’s for, the pins are longer and thinner and blew the trip switch on my fuse board!! When I tried it again it wouldn’t charge so I compared the input / output and voltage / wattage ratings etc on the plug and the ratings matched the adaptor for my silk-epil 7 so currently it’s charging on that. Will update my review later if I ever get to use the thing!! Im hoping after all the problems caused by just plugging the thing in it IS a vast improvement on my old one or I won’t be happy!!
Love it! Had the series 1 and upgrades to this one. The difference is huge. The pain level is minimal, the battery lasts for multiple uses, can use in shower and the little led light is so helpful.
I am never going back to shaving/waxing again!! My hair growth has slowed right down and it doesn’t hurt at all…. absolutely love the brushes too- makes my skin glow!!
This is the best epilator I’ve ever used and I’ve been using them for years. Different brands and styles but this one is by far the best. Gets rid of the tiny white hairs, there’s no cord so you epilate in the bathroom, the light helps catch places you’ve not noticed really really happy with it.
It takes a while to get used to and I’m still getting used to it! It takes longer to do legs than shaving so you need to set a bit of spare time to use it. It does hurt but after a while you get used to the pain. It leaves your legs with red pimples but these go after a day.
It did what it was suppose to do but for safety reason it doesn’t work plugged into the mains due to the wet capability so it is visiblly less powerful than my previous one (Philips Satinele) still very good though.
It’s great but I saw that some hairs are not pulled with the root they are just torn . So now after a few weeks those hairs have grown and the others not.
Took me ages to decide because of the price. But went for it and so happy I did! Love that it charges in 2 hours and removes hair amazingly and so much less painful than my other epilator which was an old braun. All the attachments are brilliant too!
Replaced my old decrepit epilator with this. It’s fab. My legs stay smooth for longer, it gets super tiny hairs and it’s quite quiet . Being cordless is a huge bonus. For me the best thing about it is that it’s sparkly. Crucial.
Since I use this epilator,my hair grows less and there’s no need to shave for 3 weeks.
I use the brush to exfoliate and also the softer brush to exfoliate my face aswell.very pleased with my purchase,especially it was on sale.
