Great air purifier. Only negative is no remote or app connectivity
We bought this to replace our Leviot branded one which died after a year.
It arrived very well packaged and with clear instructions. Two filters are in bags to protect them during transport, you remove this and fit them back in place before switching on.
It immediately read the air quality and ramped up the fans accordingly. Within 24 hours there was a noticeable difference in the air quality.
It’s auto mode is very good and manual option to increase the fans is good to. Reduced my star on the sound as the fans on high are relatively loud(to me) but they do the job well! It also doesn’t need to be in high for too long in fairness.
Would buy again.
Love the functionally of this fan. Auto mode is effective but be mindful, just because you smell it, doesn’t meant the fan will detect it. Ioniser is a bit of a weird one. Can’t be turned off and can trigger athsma. Only thing that lets it down really. That and it’s a nightmare to pick up. It’s got some heft and it’s smooth with no handles or even a groove for you fingers. Odd.
Had this working around the house in various rooms for the last 14 days since it arrived, to see what it does in different circumstances. So far it seems to react and give readings depending on the environment, for instance in cleaning out the log burner I must have created a lot of dust the purifier reacted to this giving a different reading and adjusting the fan speed to increase the amount of air processed until it cleared the air back to a nominal reading. In my work room I had it on in auto mode so it was at a reading of 21 on slow fan speed, I started doing some soldering work and the sensor picked up on this the reading went into the red and the fan onto max this took some time to process and clear, so now I make sure I put on the extractor fan it has certainly made me more aware of the air quality I am living in. I have also started using it at night in night mode for sleeping. Taking all this into consideration I am now thinking I could do with a smaller version for the bedroom and other rooms, I got this size purifier for our main large living room with the wood burner in mind and tried it in different locations, this has proved to me the usefulness of air purifiers. I hope this may be of use to someone.
Great item really helps my breathing during the night, I have asthma. I Would recommend this product.
Summary
A well made product that works!
Controls
Are mounted on the top of the unit and are operated by touching the icons. The lowest speed setting is particularly quiet and touching the sleep mode turns off the display to avoid keeping me awake.
Does it work?
I have summer allergies (hay fever and house dust) and found this device to be extremely helpful in removing pollen and dust from the air in the room. I turned it on around an hour before bed and slept well, whereas previously I had been suffering from broken sleep.
Value for money
In times of rising energy bills, I am grateful for the autosense feature that detects when the device needs to turn on – instead of having it turned on all night. It is worth paying a little extra to save on energy – therefore good value.
I was surprised how much of a difference it made just after one hour, it’s whisper quiet great for sleeping at night, I decided to upgrade to the larger model the Autosense and glad I did, having the digital dial show the level of the room as well as alter the speed based off the reading is a nice touch, does use two filters which hopefully will last 12 months, the unit was seriously light so can be moved from room to room, definitely leaves the room smelling fresh
Used this to help filter the kitty dander out of the air which can cause allergic reactions in the 9 year old.
Worked very well noticeably less sniffing, coughing and runny eyes.
Runs fairly quietly on the lower to speeds so you can have it as a background item without the noise interupting work or watching TV.
Design is nice and sleek and wouldnt look out of place in most homes.
You can replace the filter which is recommended yearly and they cost 35ish.
Only downside is the price I have previously had cheaper air filter units and by cheaper I am talking under 50 which work well although you can’t replace the filters (well you can but you cant actually find anywhere that sells them) so this unit at over 150 is definitely pricie
At the time of this review this air purifier is currently on offer for 150 instead of 199.99. I received the large room purifier. It was easy to unpack, making sure to take the filters out of the bag inside. When you plug it in it automatically goes into auto mode and will let you know from the display the quality of air. I find that on the lowest settings including the nighttime mode its not too loud and you can’t hear it over the tv. I have dogs and find the dust in the rooms can build up so have always been fond of using these to keep the air clean. My only issue with this is that the power code isn’t overly long and i struggled to get this behind the tv cabinet and plugged in. Overall a very good purifier but really could have gone with a slightly longer power cord.
It was a great purifier and very intuitive telling you how clean air in your room is etc. Very good. Unfortunately had to return it as the ioniser option by default is always on, having a parrot it means this can be possibly harmful to them as some ozone may be released into the air. I have to say that having contacted Breville about it they were super quick to respond and recommended a different model for the safety of our parrot. Overall great purifier if you’re not worried about the ioniser option.
My first ever air purifier, chosen partly because of my teenage daughter’s recently discovered cat allergy – and despite my scepticism before switching it on, I have to admit that it does actually work and I can recommend it.
It wasn’t long before we detected a noticeable difference in air quality in the home, and now, after a couple of months’ regular use, my daughter’s hayfever-like symptoms have undoubtedly diminished. She can breathe more clearly through her nose and doesn’t suffer from sniffles anywhere near as badly as she previously did. I, too, find that I can breathe better at night in bed, most welcome in these humid times we’re going through (in mid July). During the day, this device filters out such unwanteds as dust, pollen, and other invisible particles, and has reduced cooking smells considerably.
Operating it is easy. There are four different fan speeds, none of which are particularly noisy. It’s tempting to liken it to an air-conditioning unit, as it puts out pleasantly cool air which has been most welcome this summer. One of the other benefits is the LED display which provides information on the air quality.
Its discreet but upmarket style is another plus-point. Replacing the HEPA filter will cost around 35 and it’s likely to need doing once a year.
All in all, this has been a nice surprise. It does provide air purification that you can notice, making life better and probably healthier as well.
Never had a purifier before, but I see why one might buy it. At first I was sceptical, like why do I need it? I like the things in my air, that makes me stronger etc. And would it even work or just going to use electricity?
It works. Really works. I have not noticed much improvement in the room air quality, but what I have noticed is there is so much less dust. I do not have to wipe dust every week as I had to, now sort of once a month only. And I have a dog and a free roaming cat, plus few kids. OK, the purifier is on pretty much all the time, but that is worth it.
Very easy to clean the machine. If that removes the dust it would remove pollen and some other alegenic particles.
Good quality apparatus, and very quiet, especially in the night mode.
I know this is doing a really great job because I suffer from really bad hay fever, and as soon as I walk into my office where this is located, my symptoms disappear, even though the room is around 12 square metres with open access into three other rooms.
The device itself is quite large, but very easy to move thanks to the build in carrying handle. It’s also quiet enough that you could easily sleep with it, and impressively quieter than my stupidly overpriced Dyson.
The touch controls are very simple and work well, unfortunately there’s no app so you can’t make schedules which is something I’d expect at this price point.
Breville 360 Autosense Air Purifier for a large room.
I chose this for my lounge as the room gets dusty quite quickly, especially when we leave the patio doors open. We also have a dog which sleeps in the lounge. My eldest Son and I suffer badly with hayfever so I thought this was definitely worth a try to see if it lives up to its expectations.
It arrived well packaged and came supplied with clear instructions. The air purifier was sleek and has a matte white finish and takes up hardly any room. The controls are touch sensitive so no chunky buttons. As soon as you turn it on it detects the levels of pollution in your room and automatically adjusts the setting for whats needed.
There’s 4 speed settings. 1 is the quietest and it gets louder as you go up in speed. It’s just like having a fan on, you soon get used to it.
We’ve been using this for one month now as we’ve drastically noticed a difference. To be honest this really surprised me as I didn’t think we’d be able to notice a change at all. My son and I no longer sneeze all the time when we are sat downstairs and my younger son with asthma doesn’t cough as much. I’m presuming it’s down to the Breville air purifier anyway. If you have any allergies then I’d definitely recommend this.
The filters need changing aprox every 12 months (based on being on for 20hours per day)
I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.
The item is well packed and presented.
Contents:
1 x Air Purifier
1 x Power Supply
1 x Instruction Manual
The purifier is larger than what I expected. Nevertheless, it looks well made and also stylish. The edges are round and has a smooth finish.
It’s easy to transfer from one room to another but I chose to keep this in our living room.
It is easy to set up. It includes a manual for reference.
It is also not noisy, which is great!
Has a built in timer and can be set to 4, 8 or 12 hours and has 3 speed settings.
It has a 360 Air Intake System – meaning it draws in air from all directions and purifies it. This is great if you or anyone in the family has any allergy.
The filters are also easy to replace and are available at 35.
This unit costs 200 at the time of this review which is reasonable for the quality and performance of the product.
I got sent the Breville air purifier for review, so I’ve been testing it for the last couple of weeks in my photography studio – it’s a very old building so fairly dusty, so a good place to try out the purifier!
When you follow the initial setup instructions to properly install the included filter and turn the purifier on, it detects the amount of dust in the air and sets its fan speed accordingly. In my studio it actually only needed it on a fairly low speed making it very quiet to the point that I forget it’s on. So in an average house I expect you’d find it’s near silent! But even at the highest speed it’s still not awful, far less than a desk fan in noise levels. As well as the auto mode, you can set the speed manually if you want to, and set it on a timer, or night mode which turns off any lights on the unit.
After having it on for a while, the room feels cleaner! I have quite bad hayfever normally, but in the room with the purifier I’ve been absolutely fine, so it’s a great buy for people who do suffer from any kind of hayfever or dust allergies! It’s also great for pet owners to just keep the air cleaner as things can get dusty fast with pets!
I like this filter, it does a good job of giving you an air quality that would otherwise be very difficult to achieve. You do of course, need to use it in a space that is enclose, (shut the door) otherwise you will likely, where pollen is concerned at any rate, be trying to achieve the impossible. I have been using this for about a month and anyone who uses a filter of this sort will be ready to say what a difference it makes to the air in the room. It feels cleaner, and will change your mood. Be aware that it will cost money to run, not just the electricty but the filters will need to be cleaned/renewed and the UV light bulb every 12 months as well- and its a special bulb only available from the manufacturer. This leads me to deduct a star, which may seem curmudgeonly, but in these tough times, few of us feel particularly good about taking on extra expense. However, I do not think you are going to get a piece of kit like this to do this job, unless you are prepared to meet these costs and if air quality is important to you as it is for so many of us, then you will be quite happy to meet the cost of these items
I have owned an electric air filter before by another leading brand, and it works pretty well, but only in my small office. When I saw this Breville 360 came up for review, I was keen to see if it would help for our lounge which is considerably bigger than our office. We have up until recently had a dog in the house, and we still have a lot of dog hair floating about, additionally, we live in a greenbelt area. My son is allergic to dog hair, and I have hay fever. However, life is so much better thanks to this Breville. Easy to set up (although I felt there was a bit of excessive plastic wrapping). It is exceptionally quiet, and I was really impressed by this as I think it is quite enough for me to use in my bedroom (and I am very light and noise-sensitive). What has been remarkable is that when I have been in the lounge, my hay fever has been almost non-existent, and the HEPA filter must be working hard as there have been some high pollen counts in the past couple of weeks of using this product. The filter also seems to be doing well, as when we first started to use this the indicator light was yellow for a few days, but as it has collected the dust, dog hair and pollen, the light has switched to blue.
I am so pleased with this, the filter lasts a year. I haven’t checked to see how much they cost to replace. But the price of the actual unit is currently 200 and for the quality, I think it is worth it.
I’ve been using this air purifier in my bedroom. I have asthma and allergies and I was hoping this air purifier would help.
The air purifier has 4 speed settings, a timer and a night mode. I leave the purifier on ‘Auto’ which changes speed depending on the air quality at the time. I am impressed by how automated the purifier is and how it adjusts itself – great feature.
In terms of air quality and my allergies, I have noticed an improvement in allergies. When using a fan for example, my allergies are immediately worsened. But this air purifier cools the air and also seems to filter it well.
Only thing I would say is the sound for the highest speed setting could be quieter, but this isnt a big deal! Overall, happy with the product, would recommend for any room in the house but works well for bedrooms.
This air purifier from Breville is just sensational. In just a matter of minutes, the difference in air quality is immediately noticeable.
And after running it 24/7 for a couple of weeks, my morning sneezing pits have practically stopped. No more itchy red eyes. No more stuffy nose. I can breathe better at night, making my sleep so greatly improved too. Besides filtering the dust, pollen, and other small particles, it has also helped to eliminate the cooking smell dramatically (we don’t have an extractor hood and it’s winter, too cold to open the windows).
It’s very straightforward to operate. It comes with 4 fan speeds, I find that even at the highest speed, it is not very loud to the point of disturbing. It spits out cool air from the grill, making the whole room cooler, perfect for the warm summer months.
I also like how it’s easy to see the quality of air from the colour of the LED display. It was yellow in the beginning, and now it’s always blue which indicates the air is good.
Not only that I know It’s working great, but its slim design is also aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The touch-sensitive buttons, smooth top grill, and white all around finish just add the luxury look to it.
From the price standpoint, and for its size that can cover quite a large room, I think it’s to be the best value for money. If there’s anything to be added, is a child Lock function – to stop the little hands playing with the touch button.
Its HEPA filters will last for a year and the replacement filters cost around 35.
I just had it for a couple of weeks, too soon to comment on the durability. Priced at 200 (at the time of writing), not a cheap product, but for the amazing result that I’m seeing right now, I’m thoroughly very pleased. Would certainly recommend this unit to others who are considering good quality air purification for a good size room.
Presented nicely with a high quality craftsmanship sturdy and well balanced design with simple setup for convenience. Practical in size maybe a little bulky for some areas, but may not be an issue for everyone as its a worth while performer. Stylishly designed to be fair
Good straight forward panel for easy reach that has the relevant functions and I particularly like the night mode as this will work around the clock to eliminate unwanted odours and assisting with allergies especially now in this time or the year needing it most and in terms of performance i have seen a significant difference so far.. compared to previous years without a purifier as the air quality isn’t great here. Also with the 4 speed settings thankfully these aren’t too loud not even in the night. The autosense feature is nifty and detects the lower air quality and does the job improvement thats needed.
Comes complete with large hepa filter which are also easy to add or remove.
Overall handy for various needs including pet dander to dust which we are surprised how much it collects even in our smallest or biggest room in the house. Definitely a must have if you want to neutralise odours etc and easy to use which offers good value for money.
I have always been using air purifier though it was another really good brand. This air purifier by Breville works the same way which sucks in the air and then filter it out again. A member of the family suffers from hay fever and had said that it helped reducing some of his symptoms. For me it really does cool the air which is great for summer too.
It’s a nice design just like my other air purifier. It is not a compact one but it’s catered for larger room so that you don’t have to move it round the house all the time!
It is easy to use and buttons pretty much self explanatory. I like the sleep mode as it’s not noisy like some and basically doesn’t disturb you with the light indicator which is a nice touch.. In fact very quiet. It has four different speeds and we like using it whilst we cook and takes that smell away! The filter does require changing every 12 months which you will be reminded with a light indicating that it requires changing. Like all other replacement filter it’s not cheap but it’s still worth it. However, I do hoover the filter to give it a few more months before I buy another one just so I could save some money.
This air purifier works very well for our family of four and would recommend.
A somewhat large air purifier from a trusted brand.
Instructions are easy to follow and understand.
Looks stylish.
Clear display.
Works well and seems to be efficient.
It can be rather loud, depending on the setting.
As described and as advertised.
Well packaged and presented.
Easy to setup – just remember to remove the filter to remove the plastic bag/wrap.
Good instructions but it’s pretty intuitive and likely not needed.
Good auto off / sleep timer – works fine.
We like the ionising and I’ve function but we have no means to provide a meaningful quantitative assessment on how these work. We can’t smell that ionising effect but doesn’t mean it’s not working.
night mode with reduced lighting – works fine!
Compact little unit with good carry handle – lightweight and portable.
Doesn’t look out of place in the lounge
Easy to use but not scored 5 stars as unable to notice ionising effect – we expected that ionising smell that we get with some other ionising appliances.
As an allergy sufferer I can’t believe I’ve not had one of these sooner. The difference is phenomenal, I’m no longer lay asleep being woken up from allergies and pollen in the air making it difficult to breath.
Operation is very simple and straight forward and its noise level is very quiet. It is a little on the large side, but the quality sleep is worth this inconvenience!
I already have a bigger air purifier in my Livingroom and I’m really happy with it. But for a smaller room or for the bedroom this Breville Air Purifier is a lot more convenient. Works well in our 4m x 5m room with a tiny window. Due to the size of the room it always gets a little bit smelly and humid after each night due to the swat and the per odour was also a problem due to our dog sleeps in the same room with us. With this Air purifier we have reduced the odour and mould significantly to a minimum level.
The setup is really simple just need to plug into the socket and turn it on. I like the design, it’s minimalistic, simple but stylish suits well in my modern style house. I love that the air enters in the unit from all sides (360 air intake) goes through the filter and enters in the unit where a UV lamp help to reduce even more the level of germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi. Then the clean air moved upwards by a fan and pushed out of the top of the unit. Because its small it has a great energy efficiency, portable and lightweight.
It featured touch sensitive control pad on the top. Very sensitive buttons but works well and is illuminated so easy to find them even in dark light condition.
The big equation of this days now is that this Air purifier with Particle filter will protect us from COVID? Hmmm. I don’t think so. All I found about is that this Afloia Air Purifier purifiers have been third-party tested for the removal of the most common viruses and bacteria with a clearance rate of over 99.99%. The tests included H1N1 influenza, staphylococcus aureus, E coli and aspergillus. Helps or not I believe it’s still better than nothing.
Highly recommend in smaller rooms up to 15-17 15m, especially if you smoke, have asthma, allergies, pets or for any other reason.
Very effective air purifier with a slim design that reduces the space it occupies.
My brother living with me has a bit of a dust allergy, so I needed an air purifier in the house, and in his room most of the time, to reduce the issue, and it’s been very effective so far.
One of the nice features about this is that the automatic function can “detect” and “determine” quality with indicators to show this. This lets us know if the air quality in the house is good or not for my brother’s allergy. It is possible to manually set the mode for stronger purposes, but not really necessary.
In terms of noise, it’s very quiet, but not silent, when it determines the air quality is good. The moment it goes into a higher purifying process, it is considerably louder, but not a big issue for me, as it largely stays in the quieter mode.
The unit is quite sizeable, but the area it claims to cover is pretty big too at 28 metres squared. My rooms aren’t that big, so I don’t know the effective area based on this, but if I use it in the hallway outside my brother’s room, it works great and the hallway and his room feels a lot better. 360 also means I don’t need to position the unit to face a particular direction and it’s equally distributed.
Currently priced at 200.00, this isn’t cheap, and when you consider the filters required, this is even more expensive, although brand dependent. The bright side is, the style of filter is more readily available and isn’t an obscure type, where you will struggle to find replacements, meaning the unit is useless once the filter goes, so in this regard, it’s good this uses something more commonly found.
Overall, not too bad, but could do with a cut in price.
I get really bad allergies all year-round with dust and pollen being the most prominent ones. Especially in spring and summer, I keep the windows open all day long in the bedroom to get some fresh air in there which means allergens fly in non-stop.
This is where the air Purifier comes in. I run it in the bedroom daily to remove these allergens and I have massively noticed the difference.
I used to wake up with a cough and my chest would feel odd. Since getting this, I don’t have an issue any more.
I would strongly encourage anybody with bad allergies to invest in a good quality air Purifier like this one.
We have primarly set this unit up in the corner of our bathroom as you enter, fairly close to our cat litter tray which serves three.
About 15 minutes into using the machine, the mild damp boggy smell in the bathroom has pretty much been eliminated. I waited and waited for the cats go go to the toilet, and it just didn’t seem to be happening, however it turns out that they were using the tray, just there was very little, to no smell coming from our bathroom.
Highly considering ordering another unit, really impressed with this machine and the cleaner air quality. In the video, I demonstrate for people with animals, it becomes a safer enviroment for them too with this machine collecting any harmful particulates in the air!
VIDEO
In my video, I had the door slightly cracked open as we normally would with my camera mounted to our towel radiator.I then used some of our body spray, which you can see that the machine picks up the additional particulates within 10 seconds and is completely done filtering around 5 minutes later.
This is a quite good and effective air purifier. It comes with the fan option as well so it really works hard for its space in our living room and it does take quite a bit of space, being 58 cm tall and 23 cm wide.
When it comes to cleaning of the air, it shows you how clean the air is (AQI) on the top display, our air is generally good and always stays below 100, usually closer to 70, we live by the sea. Still, we leave our air purifier on auto so it can start working when necessary. One of the evenings our neighbours had BBQ in the garden and air inside our house started dramatically changing and AQI went up to 300. The purifier start working heavily and within a couple of minutes, the AQI went down to only a bit over 100 and slowly back to 70.
The built-in fan comes really handy, especially during the current heat wave!
The only downside is the fact that this machine is quite loud. We often have to turn it off while watching TV to hear better. We may need to find a different place for it. At the moment it is in the middle of our living room, between the sofa, dining table and the TV.
A thing I’ve noticed as a daily reviewer of electronic gewgaws is an increasing insistence on them being designed to be visible. To light up. To be a feature. This quite hefty 15 inch tall air purifier, designed to mimic, or coincidentally looking like, a milk churn, is a pretty noticeable device. I’m not sure whether advertising the fact that your house suffers from cat dander and cooking smells is something you want brought to general attention.
So yes, it has a rope handle, which does make sense given it’s heft, but as there is only a 2M cord it isn’t really that portable, and it doesn’t seem something that you’d need to move about much anyway. It’s finished in that soft grey-white plastic that manufacturers often favour for higher-end consumer electronics.
The controls are set into a touch panel on the (to continue the churn analogy), ‘lid’ which controls the following: power, fan speed, UV option , ioniser, filter change warning, timer, night light, and night mode. The UV light helps to kill germs and viruses. The optional nightlight, which seems to me a little redundant, suggests that this is mainly aimed at bedrooms, as does the ‘night mode’ feature which turns off all light sources on the device, a great feature if you are like me and need a completely dark room to get to sleep. On it’s lowest setting, it’s virtually silent, and at it’s highest about as noisy as a desk fan. The filter needs to be replaced every year or so, and they are about 35 pounds.
In terms of quality and features, one can’t really fault this. it’s beautifully finished, too, right down to the little polished aluminium handle on the rope that has the companies name stamped into it. On the other hand, there’s the whole milk-churn thing. As a design, I just don’t think it works visually. Each to his own taste, of course.
This Breville air purifier makes a good first impression on appearance alone. It isn’t as bulky as I feared and looks really quite smart. Best of all, it has a matte finish — no gloss, well done Breville. It isn’t heavy, at about 5 kgs, but could do with a handle or two, to help with moving it.
It’s rated as using 42 watts. Run it for 12 hours/day and it’ll burn 184 kW p.a. — that’s a little over 50 p.a. at today’s 29p/kWh, but of course you may well run it for a lot fewer (or more) hours. Dimensions are about 58 x 23 x 23 cms and the power cord is about 1.8 m long.
The packaging comprises almost entirely recyclable cardboard. There are three plastic bags but nothing else of concern.
The instructions are good, and operation straightforward. Maintenance comprises replacement of the two combination pre-/HEPA/carbon filters periodically. Exactly how long they last will obviously depend on your use of the machine and air quality in your house. An indicator tells you when the time has come, which will be at least once per year. A pair of filters will cost you 70, so do budget for them.
The controls are easy to use and intuitive. The purifier fires up on automatic and starts checking for pollutants in the air and varying the fan speed to suit. The display shows the sensor’s findings with a number and a coloured ring. The colours are useful at a quick glance but the number gives a much more precise indication of air quality between 1 (good) and 500 (very poor). The timer could be useful, to have it switch off after 2, 4 or 8 hours.
We don’t have much of a problem with air quality in the house in summer. We’re well away from roads, have no pets, generally keep the windows closed to exclude pollen, and have a very efficient extractor hood in the kitchen. The purifier will come into its own in winter, when we light the wood burning stove and an open fire. I lit a very small fire and blew some smoke around. It was interesting to observe the display and hear the fan speed change from near-silent to really quite loud. It does seem to work!
In conclusion, while it isn’t cheap, it does appear to be a first-rate air purifier (for rooms up to 28 sq. m.). I feel a 200 air purifier should come with a remote control, however. Between that and the high cost of filters, I’m going to be mean and deduct a star.
This air purifier is making our air clean. It has a pre filter that captures large particles fron dust, hair and pet dander. It has a HEPa A filter that captures airbourne pollutants as amall as 0.3 microns. Has activated carbon filters designed to reduce odours, vapours and gases from cooking, smoke, chemicals, pets and other unwanted scents. It is used for large rooms like 28m sqared, has 4 speed settings and works 360 intake system that drawns in air from all directions .
It has a filter light indicator that reminds you when the filter need to be replaced.
It is practical, easy to use, high quality, nice design and the list is open only with compliments.
I am happy with this item, came very well packaged and fast delivery.
I would highly recommend.
This a floor standing air purifier unit from breville. The unit height is around 58cm tall and weights about 5kg. It has a handy touch control panel at the top and two filter drums via a side panel.
Things I liked:
– covers large room (28 square meter)
– 3 stage filtering system (pre-filter, then H13 HEPA, then carbon filter)
– quite mode at night is a near quiet 35dB
Overall, this is a great household appliance. The design is slick and colour will blend into many homes. The only downside is it have to be placed near a power socket… as the included power cable isn’t longer than 1.5m.
Breville products never seem to disappoint me. Even by just looking at this air purifier, you can tell that it is a very high quality product and works well. It feels well built, and is easy to use. The instructions are straightforward and the touch-buttons on top intuitive. I had it up-and-running within minutes of opening the box. Due to the carry handle being portable and you can place it anywhere in your home (well, close to a plug socket!). I do not hide it in the corner as it looks fantastic! I keep it in the living room on the top of our cabinet.
Before first use you need to remove the plastic all around the filter. You just need to unscrew the bottom part to do this. You can set the timer for 4, 8 or 12 hours. There are three speed options for the fan. I found the fastest one a bit too noisy. The filter should last for a year, but the indicator will remind you if it has to be changed. The replacement filter is available on Amazon for 35.
There is an option to switch on the UV light, or activate the night mode.
We’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with this purchase. As we have pets, and unfortunately pollen allergy in our family, I find this device very useful. You can also tell the difference after cooking. All the food smell goes much quicker. The only negative thing I could say is that it is not designed for larger rooms, ideal for small living rooms, bedrooms, and there is no air quality indicator included.
Otherwise, it works well, highly recommended, as it is a great product for your health as it delivers clean, crisp air.
This air purifier draws impurities from 360 so gives an all round clean. Everything gets displayed on the display screen which is also touch screen. Would suggest that it stays in a particular place once ‘set up’ as it’s a bit awkward to move about.
I did not expect much of this little machine. We had an air filter, it is still here, taking up all the space and not used as it turned out to increase level of formaldehydes in the air when working.
This little machine is one quarter of the previous whopper’s size, it is much quieter, has no emissions ( I have checked, I have a piece of equipment to do that) and it is so lightweight you can easily carry it. If you have weak hands it might be a slight issue as it does not have wheels but you can push it carefully and it would yield, too, unless the carpet pile is too catchy.
It is a small thing that is quite powerful and arrives with clear instructions and a handy display. I find it useful and knowing it is not poisoning my family but does what it promises to do is the exact thing I want from such a piece of machinery. Well done to the manufacturers.
I’ve always associated Breville with small home appliances and I was intrigued that the company has now ventured into air purifiers as this is a subject close to my heart. My children suffer from eczema and the impurities in the air make my children’s condition flare up. Thus, I’ve always wanted to find an air purifier that would do the job while having a good reputation behind it.
Breville has not let me down, the compact machine has sucked up and filtered out the impurities in the air and my daughters have had far fewer flare-ups. I’ve even sneezed a lot less.
Normally gadgets abs machines like these bamboozle you with jargon while explaining how the tech works clumsily. All I know is that of it works or notand this machine definitely worksoh it looks stylish too.

Short review:
Floor standing, controls for fan speed, timer, night function, monitors PM2.5 particles and adjust speed accordingly in automatic mode. Takes 2 x 3 in 1 HEPA filters, these include a charcoal layer that also removes smells. Low power consumption at 42watts. Looks good, cleans the air.
Longer review:
This is a genuine Breville air purifier, it comes in a retail box and is very well packed with high density cardboard. The air purifier is very stylishly designed, it stands quite tall at almost 58cm and has a square footprint of 23cm, it doesn’t look out of place and can sit in the corner of a room but as this has a 360 air intake then you need to leave a gap behind.
Before use, the rear cover must be removed and the filters taken as they are stored in plastic bags, after removal of the plastic bag, the filters can be refitted. The rear cover is held on by magnets and so access to the filters is very simple.
The air is taken in from the sides and goes through the filters and is blown out of the top. There are 4 speeds, a sleep mode, a timer (2, 4 or 8 hours) and automatic mode. Automatic will monitor the amount of PM2.5 (Particles less than 2.5 microns) and adjust the fan speed to help clean the air around. It contains 2 x HEPA filters which can filter particles down to 0.3 microns and have a carbon layer which can removed odours too.
On the top is an OLED display, it will indicate the current particle count (PM2.5 level), constantly monitoring it, and has a colour indication to show if the air quality is good (blue), moderate (yellow) or poor (red). Also on the top are touch sensitive controls for the speed, night mode, timer, and power. There are no heaters in this unit, it is purely a fan with filters, so the power consumption is quite low at just 42 watts. It is very quiet on its low setting but when on high it is much louder but not disturbingly loud.
When first powered on it will carry out an air purity test by running the fan at high speed to gain a particle count, after which it will run the fan speed dependent upon the current particle count (auto mode).
They recommend changing the filters once per year based on 20 hours a day usage, the cheapest price from a reputable company I can find so far for 1 filter is around 16 each and you will need two of them. As this will only be once per year it’s not too bad.
This is a very useful unit to have especially if you suffer from dust or pollen allergies. It can remove bad smells as well as dust and other airborne particles, this helps with breathing and allergies. Night mode is quiet and dims the display too.
This has to be the least-expensive, but most effective air purifiers I’ve seen over the years. I like to do the “flashlight test,” with every air purifier I buy, because combating dust in my older Bay Area home is the main reason I bother with these machines. I hold a bright flashlight beam up against the entry points to the filter and see how much dust is being drawn in. If a lot of dust is being drawn in, I know the purifier is a keeper. If not, then either the room I’m in is somehow cleaner than the rest of the house or it’s just not moving a lot of air. With this one I can always see a lot of dust being drawn in. So I’m very happy there.
This air purifier works quickly (tried it after cooking broccoli)! The high speed is a little louder than an oscillating fan but not too bad that it causes anyone to be unable to hear the TV. I have it in an open living/dining/kitchen area and it seems to be working very well. This is great for those adoring smells that linger. The room always smells fresh after an hour or so.
I do have an asthmatic brother who was unable to sleep through the night. He would wake up gasping for air. After just one day of this running in his bedroom he slept though-out the night. This has been a lifesaver for him and he is certainly thinking about getting another so that we don’t have to keep moving it around d the house.
This air purifier works amazing for the price! I have had on high for 5 hours and half my apartment just felt better! The air was not thick anymore and it was so much easier to breathe. My allergies are so much better as well, Its build quality is quite impressive as well. It is a very attractive looking piece of kit that will certainly blend in with its surroundings. Highly recommend
Hope this review helps you
Update I have now been using this for many months and it’s still excellent in removing dust particles.
I have it placed in the living room with a wood burning stove and it’s made a dramatic impact on me first thing in the morning when I used to sneeze a lot, now i do not.
Well packaged product arrived in perfect condition. This is very. intuitive to install and use. Open the back cover and remove the plastic covers protecting the filters first.
See video on initial turn on it makes a bit of noise then settles down to a extremely quiet full operation.
3 stages of operation move seamlessly through
night modes particularly helpful as its almost silent and the lights get turned off.
There’s an indicator for the filters. when they require changing(as new this has not been tested) they should last 12 months.
This is a little more expensive than comparable models but you get a well known brand and the confidence that goes with that.
This isn’t a brand I’d have thought to look at when it comes to air purifiers — I associate Breville fairly firmly with kitchen gadgets — but this is a well-rounded and effective air purifier complete with sensors and adaptive responses. Air quality in your room changes? This automatically changes to accommodate that.
The air purifier is a slim, cuboidal unit with rounded corners – nothing sharp here for younger children to hurt themselves on. The unit is fairly light weight and is easy to move around, though doesn’t have either a carry handle or inbuilt wheels.
The housing is mainly made from a matte-effect white plastic. I think it looks quite smart — but my Mum was rather rude about it, and suggests that it looks like a cigarette bin. I can see this enough to include mentioning it.
The air intake holes are on the bottom half of the housing. None of the holes is particularly big, and these are a mix of larger lozenge shapes, graduating to tiny circles, getting smaller and more spaced apart the further up the unit you go. The effect here is quite attractive. There is a light grey matte-finish base, a matching light grey outlet panel on the top of the unit, and a shiny, black-finish touch screen control panel in the centre of the outlet. The control panel has a digital display.
The controls are easy to use. When the air purifier is first switched on it enters an auto sensing mode, testing the air quality of its environment. Unless you manually set the fan to a higher/lower speed, this continues to test air quality whilst it’s running.
The digital display gives a numerical rating of air quality — between 0 and 100 is ‘good’. 101-200 ‘moderate’ and 201-500 ‘poor’. These numbers are accompanied by a semi-circular band which lights up blue for ‘good’, ‘yellow’ for moderate, and red for ‘poor’.
The one small criticism I have of this air purifier is that the colour changes for the air quality sensor display are abrupt and not graduated. There is just one point in difference between a 100 and a 101 rating — but one is ascribed a blue light which suggests that all is good here, whilst the other gets a flat yellow light for ‘moderate’. It seems to me that if the colours were graduated — with a blue green that lightens into yellow, and a yellow that darkens through orange into red this would give a more realistic understanding of changing air quality (and make it easier to do something about it) than the abrupt transitions this has.
By and large it seems that for everyday purposes the air quality in our house is pretty good. This mainly stays in the blue zone — and comfortably so. Mostly in a range between the mid-high teens and the twenties. We’re a 4-person, mixed generation family and own a small dog. We live out in the countryside, and air pollution is basically not a problem — though high pollen count can be. So far though, the thing which seems to impact most is cooking and the resultant smells permeating through from the kitchen via the hall and into the lounge, where I’m currently running the air purifier.
This can swing the air quality up into the poor zone — at which point the fan kicks in quite strongly, making a fair amount of noise. Most of the time, with this running in the ‘good’ air quality zone, the fan is almost whisper-quiet. It’s not at all intrusive.
Something I always check when it comes to buying devices which require consumables is the availability and price of the consumable items — this helps to inform my purchasing decisions. I carry this practice over into items I’m reviewing: I don’t make decisions before I receive my review items — but I do check straightaway to find out how practical it is to maintain the item I have been sent, and what the running costs will be.
The filters for this Breville air purifier are easy to replace. They’re available on here. At 34.99 each at time of writing, and with a unit that needs two filters replaced simultaneously, they’re not particularly cheap — but not prohibitive either. Within the range I would expect for high quality HEPA filters designed to fit a brand name air purifier. Per the manual, these last ‘up to 12 months’. The basis for this calculation is not defined, though I suspect this will be based on part-time usage in mainly low-polluted rooms.
This came boxed and packaged around with cardboard. The unit was held securely in place in its box with moulded cardboard holders. The only plastic bits to the packaging were a bag around the unit as a whole, bags wrapping the filters, and a couple of pieces of tape. The manual wasn’t bagged, and there was no plastic cover over the pins on the plug.
Solidly Constructed And Stylish Air Purifier | Makes A Noticeable Difference To Air Quality
This Breville 360 Air purifier is all around working 360 degree in&out air filtration system representing present market standards fitted with autosense sensor which basically detects when air quality is good, moderate or poor and than displays all the relevant readings on the touch screen panel for your convenience.Above auto soft start procedure and settings are delivered in 3stages ,sage 1 pre-filtration
stage 2 HEPA filtration and
stage 3 activated carbon filter for smells. This Breville 360 is one good performer , functional and easy to set up or operate .The build quality is flawless with no single defect or imperfection.Devivce is lightweight ,got nice ergonomics but for some reason there is no single handle designated for easy transport as no wheels included ?!
Also ,bit inconvenience is the same HEPA filters which apparently will* last up to 12 months but being honest or lucky (based on the contamination level or same environment use ) it should last ( working up to full specification ) more around to 6-8-12 months looking at the same type of the filter and that it’s just being realistic as using foreseeable number. Anyway ,THE price. I see this brilliant air purifier a bit on the expensive side and if anyone would ask me I would rather advise considering the price tag somewhere around 159 -169 based on the single filter price , quality of the materials used in this design, performance output , functionality, and user friendliness basically THE whole market package closed and delivered by Breville 360. Here ,as being completely frank 200 worth of an air purifier could include at least one washable pre filter(to knock down the price and rise more interest around) or maybe having remote controller included in the bundle within that 200 price tag asking at the time of this review ,just maybe ,I repeat maybe could be sufficient idea just to be more competitive at the market offering value for the money product or other way marketing around.Still, after long consideration and intense review of this great piece of Breville tech I am more than happy to put my recommendation as I can see the value in it and worth it.Thanks.Regards.PS.This is 42W unit .
We have a number of different ionisers and fans and have certainly seen the difference these can have in the quality of your atmosphere and sleep at home. This is now in our living room and looks aesthetically impressive whilst maintaining a small foot print. The unit is pretty quiet in operation and is easy to oerpate with the simple illuminated touch panel on the top.
This air purifier is great and most importantly it works!
It filters the air making it much cleaner and fresher to breath it. I have had it on for a week and I’m starting to see the difference at home.
There are layers of filters which really does filter the dirt in the air! Features an advanced technology fan system that circulates the air through many filters.True HEPA and Activated Carbon filters reduce unwanted odors
On the base the is a cotton part where you can put some fragrance oil so when it filters it also lets out a much nicer smell, they are not expensive to get hold off.
This is really handy for someone with breathing difficulties or even someone with hayfever like myself!
The first thing you notice is that the Breville Air Purifier looks smart enough to be seen in your house — you don’t need to poke it away in a corner.
It has a large concertina filter which means it has a decent filtration area. You need to remove the plastic bag which covers it before you start.
I found the “switches” (touch sensitive on the top) difficult to see until I took it into a darker room. They are white on white and not very bright.
When turned on to the first fan level the noise level was acceptable; however level 2 was loud and level 3 TOO LOUD!
We have no pets, and are non-smokers without allergies so we really didn’t notice much difference. I think the people who will get the most benefit will be smokers, or even non-smokers who are unlucky enough to have someone smoke in their home.
Breville 360 Light Protect Air Purifier Breville 360 Light Protect Air Purifier
As expected, being a Breville product this is high quality and well made, there is nothing cheap about this whatsoever. The purifier was a little larger than expected, but it is still small enough to hide in a corner of a room. This does have a flexible rope handle on top so it can be moved around easily, although you are restricted by the cable length which is slightly shy of 2 metres.
The Air Purifier is rather a stylish unique design, it is shaped a little like a milk churn. On top is the fan outlet where clean air blows in an upward direction, so there will be no cold legs if sitting near it. In the centre top is a flat panel with several light sensitive touch buttons which illuminate when plugged into a power supply. The available controls are: Power, Fan Speed, UV Light, Ioniser, Filter Indicator, Timer, Night Light, Night Mode.
The main body of the unit is made from high quality white plastic, this is dull and soft in appearance with rounded edges on top and bottom. Around the centre is a large material section where air is drawn into the unit and through the internal filter. On the base is a removable bottom which provides access to the filter, this is removed by rotating a large locking Handle. Once the base is removed the super large 3 in 1 Hepa filter can easily be pulled out for cleaning or replacement. This filter should last for up to 12 months before needing to be replaced. The filters are not cheap, currently priced at 34.99 so it’s best to clean the filter regularly by tapping off any dust or by using a vacuum. I personally clean similar filters by using a low pressure airline, blowing from the inside to out taking care not to damage the filter.
Overall this looks good and works well. There are 3 fan settings available, the higher settings are quite noisy, but on low it is not too bad and will probably not affect sleeping at night.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
My mother recently broke her ankle and she is a smoker and can’t go outside for one, this had been ideal as it eliminates the smoke and lingering scent from a room after she’s had a cigarette.
Air purifiers in general also reduce the risk of health problems to do with your heart and lungs.
It’s a compact device that can subtly fits in without being a space hog.
It does hums in the background, no more noise then a low speed fan however.
It’s working well and I have noticed the reduced odours from not only cigarette smoke but musty outdoor pet smells too.
This review is for the Breville 360 Light Protect Air Purifier | Quiet, True H13 HEPA Filter | Removes up to 99.97% Dust, Smoke, Pollen & More | 3 Speeds | Sleep Mode | Filter Change Indicator | Touch Control Panel
A good well made art purifier, arrived well packaged and on time. Simple to setup and works really well. The purifier is fairly compact but had a lot of power. Would recommend.
My partner suffers from asthma and hay fever, we also live opposite a building site at the moment that causes the air to be extremely dusty, and I often suffer from hay fever too.
We’ve never owned an air purifier before, as we aren’t sure if they work or not. I was keen to give this one a try to see if it helps particularly with my partner who has been quite wheezy recently.
The unit itself is for a medium room so seems perfect for our bedroom. I really like the design of it and it fits in well with our bedroom. Unfortunately the size also means it isn’t too easy to tuck away.
It comes with an instruction book but I would have preferred a bit more discussion around what it does and how the UV and Ion features are supposed to work, and when you should use them. Currently I have them both switched on to see if a difference is made.
The top is a touch panel with each of the different buttons. There are 3 speed settings for the fan, the switch for the UV light, the Ioniser, a night light (which we wouldn’t be using) and also a night mode which basically dims the panel.
As mentioned there are 3 different fan settings and the 2nd and 3rd are pretty loud. On my video I begin with the 3rd setting before switching to the 1st and hopefully you can hear the bug difference. We are trying it on 2nd setting mostly when not in the room, as even the 3rd setting I can hear from my office across the hall.
We haven’t noticed any difference yet but assuming it’s early days, and will report back if partners symptoms ease.
This air purifier is very well made and extremely easy to use; the inclusion of a ‘lights off’ night mode makes it perfect for bedrooms.
The filter seems to be high quality and if it can indeed do a hepa job then that is very useful.
Inside the filter there is an ultra-violet germicidal radiator which should make the air even cleaner if it works as claimed.
The filters are more expensive than some BUT they last 12 months at 20 hours per day usage so they are actually less expensive than most that last for less time!
I hope this mitigates my hay-fever: I think it will.
