Plumber installed very quickly within 20 minutes had no problem putting together looks and feels expensive. I bought it because I didn’t want to go through the expense of having an electric shower fitted and having a thick wire run right through my house to the front electric box I have good pressure with my water. Quite a strong , easy to manage temperature keeps it at a constant temperature very happy
Nothing to dislike, made by British company so hoping for long use and good quality.
Easy to install looks and feels well made
Only time will tell
paid a bit more than your average amazon special (unknown make unknown reliability of reviews) hoping for better quality and a longer life, seems good easy to fit.
The right hand side controls the flow and I will be watching the fact that when you turn the flow off it does not seem to be returning to the stop position completely~( it did at first, now fitted for 4 weeks) , ie there is a bit of resistance and you have to again to close (water drips if you don’t).
Also water is not hot enough to fill a bath no matter how high I have my water. I don’t know if there is a setting somewhere ( I didn’t get any instructions in the box)
after going from an electric shower at our old flat to a mixer tap from a combi boiler at our house we really missed having that consistent flow and temp you get, didnt even know a thermostatic bath mixer from bristan even existed until we saw one in a hotel. Way overpriced (as are ALL taps) and the rrp was supposedly 339 which is laughable, just really hope it lasts. Hardly the prettiest of taps but im more than happy to take functionality over looks.
A well made mixer that works well and is easy to adjust the temperature.
This was an emergency replacement for a cheaper mixer tap that had failed twice.
I had someone fit it for me but was very easy if you know how as it took about 10/15 mins to do. This is just the tap, so it will fit onto your existing shower unit and bath fixings.
I’ve not had it long but it’s ok so far.
Does what it says is a thermostatic valve for bath for which there are few models.
Looks wise is good but not outstanding as the tip looks like a nose of plane. Prefer the grohe model but wanted in a hurry so ordered this.
The temperature control works though it let’s in cold water in case boiler struggling to cope which I think is normal. Also the opening knob can be overtightened whicb I think is a drawback.
In case you are looking to fit a shower head the only compatible model with this is either grohe 260 euphoria or hansgrohe latter is like 400. So in case of fittng shower, there is another model from bristan to use.
Happy overall
It’s a Bristan tap so is top quality in materials, manufacture and function. A fantastic price too. Far less than my local plumbers merchants even at trade.
Good quality tap ,decent price, fitting easy and works well, plus 5 year guarantee
Bought this to replace a mixer tap so that my 3 year old could get in the shower and not burn/freeze when turning the water on. The thermostatic feature reacts in a fraction of a second when there is water demand elsewhere in the house, meaning that the water temperature coming out is constantly stable.
Only slight against giving 5 stars is that the hot/cold controller is horribly plastic.
Works fine, keeps the shower a nice constant temperature and it was easy to fit.
Nice to have a product giving a set temperature rather than having to juggle the hot and cold tap
