Smart looking phone with call answer facility, the only criticism is the screen is not very clear , it has a blue glow to it and is not easy to read
Needed to replace our house phone after accidentally cutting through the power lead of our old one.
Did not want to spend a lot, as nobody really calls us on home phone any more apart from a few elderly relatives and a few professionals so still needed a house phone.
We also get a lot of cold calls though, so having a call blocker was a nice little bonus, though only blocks 50 numbers.
Answer phone was also a must have so all in all this phone fitted the bill nicely. We have had it for a couple of weeks now and are happy with it.
A nice phone with some nice features for a good price so would recommend.
Lots of different sounds to handset and base. Instructions not enough information had to get user manual on line. Very pleased with them overall.
Easy use and read fantastic for blocking calls you don’t want from scammers
Very good item and works very well
Not too expensive would buy again
Highly recommend.
As expected. Dead easy to set up. Plug in, remove battery tabs and away you go. As with all new phones, setting up your contacts is the worst bit, ‘yawn’ but the procedure on this unit is good. I’m still deciding which nuisance blocker mode to use but the fact it is there is what counts. All in all highly recommended.
Bought these to replace some that were old and the batteries had worn out. These were easy to set up and use and numbers entered into the internal contact list are automatically updated to the other handset. Very pleased with them.
Just wanted to rectify my previous review but cannot seem to edit or delete the original.
The phone arrived as advertised. Any issue was my own i bought in a rush and did not read the sellers information.
The phone was sold and arrived as advertised.
Only rings 5 times before answer machine comes on and goes to 1571. Not enough time to answer although it’s a 2 set the other one is upstairs
Love this phone only gripe is the blue florescent light which is a bit annoying with one phone in bedroom other than that easy to use and set up
When on the phone you can only turn the sound up to 5 so l have to put it on speaker ,l would have though you could turn the sound up higher every thing else is fine
Bought to replace exactly same phone which was 10yr old button had gone on main handset had no issues. My only gripe is the battery life is terrible on new version . Only lasts 1 day if that off charge then goes blank. Never gad this with old set
Phoned BT OVER BATTERY ISSUE
APPARENTLY THEY DONT LAST MORE THAN 8 HOURS OFF CHARGE THESE DAYS . so you have to remember to put back
On stand after use .
Nice looking phones. Easy to handle or grip. Good sound.
The instructions are not smooth flowing. Sometimes it is easier to use intuition than follow the printed instructions. Not the best. BUT – okay for the small price.
I found this phone quite easy to set up. The instructions are fairly clear, but I had to use a bit of intuition when adding text such as someone’s name. Get a character wrong and I wasn’t sure which button allowed me to go back and correct it. It doesn’t give you very long if you pause during that kind of process either and goes all the way back to the home screen.
One thing I was really disappointed in, was the poor and limited choice of ring tones.
Too much plastic packaging inside the box.
BT 2700 Nuisance Call Blocker Cordless Home Phone with Digital Answer Machine (Trio Handset Pack)
I have had this for less than a week so if problems arise in the future I will be back to update.
It is a reasonable price for three handsets but am not sure how durable they are going to be – the buttons feel a bit squashy. It’s great that you only have to enter the data on one handset, not all three.
I went onto the BT website and downloaded the (free) pdf handbook for this model – it is 60+ pages long. It was useful as you only get an A3 sheet with the actual phone.
I really bought it for the nuisance call blocker. This has proved not so straightforward to set up as I had hoped – but I am a bit of a technophobe. I have had to phone the dedicated BT helpline twice (0800 145 6789) and on the second occasion had to hold on for nearly 20 minutes. Having said that, they were helpful and knew what they were doing and solved the couple of problems I had without difficulty.
The nuisance call blocker can block calls by EITHER type OR by number. That means you can choose whether to block calls by type – such as international, withheld, unavailable or payphone OR by specific number (ie creating a blacklist). I wanted to block specific numbers. One of the problems I had was that unlike other nuisance call blocker phones (apparently) with this one you have to switch the nuisance call blocker on – it isn’t automatically on.
I then temporarily “blocked” my own mobile number to see how it worked. When you ring the line from a blocked number, you can’t tell it is blocked – it just sounds as if it is ringing – but of course at home the phone doesn’t actually ring out. (Except if you have another phone connected to another telephone point, the blocking only applies to these three handsets). Anyway, in my house it means that unless ALL the phones are ringing I don’t answer – or I could unplug my second phone. 😉
Now I have set it up I think it is OK – and a good price – but time will tell!
Once you have entered a phone number into it’s memory it automatically tells the other two phones which is a huge bonus for me as my last B.T. phone set didn’t do this.
I love all of the facilities on these phones and I can’t find anything negative to say about them. I think they’ve used all of the money I’ve spent at B.T. over the years perfecting this set…..well done, my money has been well spent!
