IL PRODOTTO: Obiettivo pancake (che in gergo definisce quegli obiettivi molto schiacciati con una focale corta) grandangolare specifico per Canon EOS della serie M. Il nome completo della sigla EF-M 22mm F/2.0 STM.
EF-M indica la compatibilit con la serie mirrorless di Canon;
PRO:
– qualit ed estetica le plastiche sono molto solide, e l’attacco in alluminio;
– l’obiettivo si comporta sempre bene, ma con una giusta illuminazione pu tampinare le soluzioni professionali senza alcuna paura;
-dimensioni e peso rendono un prodotto gi molto portatile di suo come la mirrorless, assolutamente non ingombrante e pratico;
CONTRO:
-assenza di una stabilizzazione;
PARERI & CONCLUSIONI:

It is so Small ! Brill quality –
Easy to pocket with 50mm Lens in jeans & you have two lens + and the one camera to play with no space no weight – but good quality
I am a keen photographer and own a Canon M50 mkii. I also own a Canon 5d mk3 and a 6D mkii. Anyone who tells you an M50 is a toy camera is very wrong. You can use any Canon lense with a 40 adaptor. However, with this EFM series 22mm lense you can carry the camera in your pocket or bag. It gives fantastic results and the 22mm pancake lense is fantastic. Great DOF and ideal for Street photography where you font want yo stand out with big SLR. This lense is probably the best lense you will buy its amazing.
Well made and very light, compact lens. Ideal to carry around when fitted to the M50.
If you bought a mirrorless cannon because you love the smaller size, you will love this lens. It’s great for close ups (will focus at 15cm), using autofocus gives great results, inside photos are good in less light, much better than with the 15-45mm that came with my m200 (altho that is a great under rated lens too), this is small enough to carry around in your pocket or handbag and good enough to take stunning pictures. It is 100% the most fun lens to use, I feel myself smiling whenever I put this lens on. My pics are not edited and were taken straight after getting the lens on an eos m200
Wonderful lens that can be kept on the camera almost permanently. Pin sharp, lots of light, and a genuinely small pancake lens. Beautiful pictures and video quality. Gives you the option of using the M6 mk.2 as a pocket go-anywhere travel camera.
Very handy lens for wide angle view and very sharp focusing. Excellent when it comes to low light photography. Very compact and slim, especially on a small Canon M50 mirror less camera.
I got this to expand my len range from just the kits lens with the M50 and the kit lens has rarely gone back on since.
Great for darker shots. I dont need my LED light anymore for indoor shots. I like that its so small.
Downside: its pretty loud when autofocusing.
Paired with the Canon M50, image quality is great! Recommended to anyone who shoots low-light photos and photos of the night sky. It’s portable and affordable.
It does a decent to good job with portraits, but if you shoot portraits frequently, then consider the 32mm F1.4. (much more expensive but worth it)
I’m new to photography but I’d read really good reviews of this lens and seen good reviews on YouTube. It’s fabulous. The quality from this Prime lens is outstanding. It’s small and lightweight but it really delivers the images well. I’m very pleased with this prime lens.
That’s the type of lens that you should have with you always. It’s small, light weighed and very versatile. You could use for both landscape and portrait photos and it’s very bright, which makes easier to take pictures in low light conditions. If you are in a VERY silent place and wants to record videos the autofocus noise could be a problem, it’s not very loud but you can hear it, in my tests the noise was okay and didn’t affect the final product. Rightly recommend!
This is the best lens I own. Very fast. Bokeh is outstanding. Good value all day lens.
I have pondered on buying a new lens for a while due to the cost, but after watching many youtube videos on the Cannon m50 I bite the bullett and went for it. I wasnt disapointed it works amazingly well on low light, gives amazing depth of field and the focus is great. The motor is a little nosey but it doenst affect anything. Wish I would have bought it ages ago xxx
Superb fast lens, highly recommend, slower AF than kit lens but still a superb
There’s nothing to dislike about this lens. It’s cheap and the quality of pictures is great. What else can you expect from a camera lens?
I love this lens – bought it for low light and street photography and it’s great small to carry around a quality item . Price is good.
This is a great lens. The bokeh achieved from the F2 is beautiful and obviously works a treat in low light. Very sharp image too. The motor is a little noisy for video however if your just speaking to camera or using an external mic away from the camera it’s not a problem. Would recommend.
well packed , prompt delivery a great addition to the camera, adds to general portability
This lense is pretty amazing, the Aperture Range makes it great for long exposure, good for scenic shots or land Skype
This lens is a killer! My production level went from semi pro – pro. I love this lens! Supper affordable, supper light, multi use! The depth of field is really nice with its f/2 and I pretty much use this lens for anything I shoot!
It’s compact and lightweight The picture quality is awesome, autofocus is very fast. This is the only lens attached to my Canon M50.
This Lens is incredibly fast and for the money represents outstanding value. Its great for street work and general photography. What I like about this lens is that it teaches you how to compose and not rely on zooming. I got mine from PC world for 99. I think this native lens should be considered when considering an adaptor and the 50mm EF lens.
Using this for Canon M50 – such a great image quality, bokeh effect, etc. Really happy with purchase
A great lens, I run this full time on my cannon m6.
Great for everything.
Very pleased with this lens! I’m a beginner at photography but so happy with the results I am getting with my Canon M-100 + this lens. Very crisp quality, however small downside for the rather slow autofocus but could be worse! (pictures edited)
What I paid for this on a black Friday deal was a steal . 99 . It takes excellent pictures and the focus is extremely quiet. It is an essential part of the Eos M camera kit … Buy one , you will not be disappointed.
I spent a day walking around the Tower and Trafalgar Sq with just this on my M50. What a great little lens. Perfect lens, perfect day.
This lens is a fixed focus lens. To us oldies it’s the equivalent of a simple snapshot camera. Because of the thinness of the lens, the camera fits easily into a jacket pocket.
The quality of the optical glass is excellent. Remember: its fixed focus so no zoom but due to the quality that’s no loss as you can just blow up and crop the image.
This lens is almost a reason to get an EOS M series camera beside the possibility to adapt EF lenses. It is as sharp as Fuji and Sony’s equivalent while being much cheaper and lighter. It’s basically a no brained. The only downside is vignetting at wide open at F/2 which can easily be corrected in camera or in post or and it goes away if you stop down to F/4.
Wow, what a lens. Only disappointed I didn’t get it sooner! Tack sharp and a solid focal length makes it a great all-purpose lens that is really compact. Haven’t used the kit zoom since it arrived
Very well made and produces a greater scope for you photography
Great buy! – really excellent lens for all round photography good price – very pleased with this lens from Canon.
This lens is one of the best things I have brought in a long time. Brought for my canon M. It’s small and lightweight but feels robust. It takes amazing pictures and the background blur is a really nice effect. You can get loads into the frame without having to stand really far back. Great product and reasonable price, quick delivery.
Superb lens obtained used from America for 90. Excellent resolution coupled with ability to handle extreme low light scenes. For me an outright bargain.
but the lens arrived without original box and seems used
Arrived as expected. Satisfied and happy. Product awesome and just as I hoped. This lens is worth every penny and must to have in the gadget se
This brilliant, sharp little lens turns any m series camera into a pocketable powerhouse that can go pretty much everywhere with you and provide dslr quality pictures. It really is a no brainer f you have an m series camera. A joy to use.
Great addition to my Canon M3, much smaller and lighter for day to day use.
Nice bright 35mm EFL lens for the EOS M/EOS M3/EOS M10. very good definition even at wide open aperture.
Nice and Clear photo and videos you can take.
Very compact size, nice and wide view
great pancake lens. Excellent in dealing with low lighting condts.
Great lens for the Canon eos M system. produces lovely pin sharp images & is very robust & well made.
Fast lens and very convenient size makes for a very good combination with the Canon EF-M. Louvre
This lens is amazing in low light. The photo’s are almost like daylight when in reality, it can be nearing dark (Great if flash is not an option). Another benefit is it shrinks the EOS-M to a similar size of a medium compact point and shoot making it more likely you will have your camera with you. Picture quality is excellent and the STM focussing is very fast (even on the EOS-M) and all but silent. A very well made product and I’m enjoying playing with the almost retro experience of a short prime lens. If you have an EOS-M, you need one of these!
I purchased the EOS M on a whim, I was looking at going abroad and travelling light, so that’s why I purchased the camera that came with a 18-55mm lens. But after using the camera, I love it, there is certainly something about it and I use it alot more than I do my Canon EOS 60D, although it won’t replace my 60D, it’s a fantastic camera for the type of photography that I do, mainly landscapes and a bit of architecture.
I was looking for another lens for the EOS M, as I have been using my other lenses on it with the Canon adaptor, and thought I would buy a prime, I did have a 50mm f1.8 lens for my 60D, but I rarely used it, as I thought the 50mm on a crop is a bit too much at times, so I decided to sell that and purchase this lens, I have to say, I am very very impressed, the 22mm is alot more of a manageable than a 50mm, it’s such a great lens, has great bokeh and the picture is sharp.
Other reviews have mentioned that there is a bit of chromatic abberation on this lens, but I’ve not had the chance to thoroughly test this yet to see the chromatic abberation, but at the end of the day, if you use lightroom or camera raw, this can be easily fixed.
If you have a EOS M, I highly recommend this lens. I bought the EOS M with no intention to buy any other lenses, now I have this, the 18-55mm and the wide angle 11-22mm lens, all which I can recommend for this fantastic, but underrated camera.
Haven’t really had a chance to try it out properly but even on the computer monitor the results appear sharper than any other camera I’ve used.
This is the EOS M version of the Canon EF 40mm F2.8 STM and shares with that lens, excellent optical properties and relative dimensions. It gives roughly the same image size on the EOS M, as does the EF 40mm on the EOS 5D MKIII
The results are stunning, giving razor sharp results with the EOS M.
Thoroughly recommended, with it’s small compact size, as a superb discrete sized daily lens, good for situations, where a full size
DSLR kit would be indiscrete or likely to attract unwelcome attention.
I am very pleased with this lens, that came (unexpectedly) with a hood. Needs to be used stopped down to avoid too much distortion, but this is what you would expect from a lens of this type. A really handy lens for everyday, street photography use.
I have been using this to take images of flowers. The results are clear and crisp for the flowers with a depth of field that sets them off nicely.
I purchased an EOS M with the 18-55mm Kit lens, then bought this as a lightweight carry around. It produces nice sharp images, even wide open (and it is fast at 2.0) with nice Bokeh. Auto-focus, for me has been fine. I’ve seen some reviews saying the auto focus is unusable but I have had no problems-I’m not going to pretend its hugely quick and I don’t shoot sports, but its fine. I guess it depends on your expectations, I am getting great images and that’s what matters.
This is the lens I keep on the camera all of the time now, don’t get me wrong the 18-55mm is a great kit lens, but the 2.0 maximum aperture just makes this a really versatile partner for me. I’ve also bought a Lowepro Dashpoint 20 bag which fits the EOS M and 22mm Lens perfectly, and makes this a truly portable pairing as a compact walk around camera. My cumbersome DSLR takes great pictures, but so does this-the difference is I can take this combo everywhere with me.
I added a circular polarizer and used this lens most of the time for our 3 week trip through the parks of Arizona and Utah.
This fast (f/2.0) lens generates absolutely excellent image, in terms of sharpness, contrast, and colour. It’s short distance (15 cm) really works when shooting still object like food on the table. As many people mentiones at various review sites, its autofocus is very very slow. So, personallyI would not recommend it to shoot moving subject like children. It’s not for fast shooters either. But I do recommend this for landscape or still object. Perfect companion when travelling too.
I like the size of it! It’s small and perfect for holiday/everyday use.
Some reviews on web complained about the AF speed.
I agree but I use MF so it did not bother me much, but problem arise when someone who is not familiar with MF using my lovely camera. Some of my holiday pictures were blurred…
Received in good time, and good quality…. many Thanks
