Not having a mechanical keyboard for years this is great to type on.Feels very solid with the metal base, and the Corsair iCUE software can change the lighting easily.Recommended.
I use the keyboard for a significant amount of time every working day, and it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever used. Would definitely recommend.
Only niggle is that after just over a year, the right ctrl key has snapped, so I’m hoping that Corsair will replace it (I don’t need the whole keyboard replacing and can’t be without it in the meantime, but don’t know where to get the replacement key caps from!)
I’ve used this keyboard daily since it arrived and I must say I am very happy with it so far. The keys are responsive, consistent and the amount of force needed to press a key is juuuuuust right for me, a guy with fairly large hands. The lighting is awesome too. One thing that the keyboard would benefit from though is a wristrest, but other than that the keyboard is a solid 9/10 for the price, I highly recommend it.
I love this keyboard, I took awhile to get used to it due to it being low profile but it’s what I needed. Now I’m used to it I find it silky smooth to type with and you only have to gently press the keys to get a response. Keyboards are definitely a personal preference due to the amount of choices, this is the one that felt right for me!
So, this has been both a random and unexpected gem of a find.
I have for some time been after a keyboard featuring low profile keys and caps, a task made more difficult by there being so few.
Corsair do a ‘premium’ board with all the bells and whistles, Logitech do the G815/915 which ticks all the boxes except I wanted Cherry switches, IM not fussed on the keychron option and there was no sign of a UK layout Cherry 10N.
Then, one night quite by chance I spotted this. It ticks all my boxes, an understated look that isn’t shoving rgb down your throat, although it has it, and a clean and uncluttered design. There are two variants, the one with the budget Viola switches and the one with the premium Cherry MX Low Profile Speed switches, which is the one I opted for as the Viola’s don’t review well.
So build quality is fine. There’s a metal top plate and the board is overall solid. There’s no key wobble.
It lacks a number of refinements, the cable is rubber not braded (not an issue for me) and no usb pass through or macro keys, but I don’t use either so no loss to me but something to think about.
In use, like any new board it takes a bit of getting used to and slowly I am and honestly the more time I spend with it the more I like it.
The board is controlled by iCue software which is feature rich and whilst the board has no onboard memory for fancy programming, it will run them if icue is open. That said you can set a default light pattern that is configurable that will run without the software running, so fret not.
Overall I am really liking this board and a few tweaks would make it perfect as I much prefer this form factor to their other more premium boards
I bought this when it was heavily discounted for 68.
It’s a great keyboard.
The lighting is top tier, typing on this feels great, and it just feels like an overall quality product.
I don’t know whether I would buy this for full price, but if you see this discounted it’s definitely worth a buy.
I chose this keyboard mainly because I wanted the ability to customise the lighting for each key individually (I use it to show my keybindings in games), but I also wanted a good quality mechanical keyboard which isn’t too loud or too tall (my previous one was a Razer Arctosa which is relatively flat).
I’ve only had it a couple of weeks so I can’t comment on longevity but it seems solid and well made and should be easy to clean and maintain and the low profile keys do make it more comfortable than many mechanical keyboards (especially when I need to reach across several keys during a game) and it’s no louder (but also no quieter) than a typical keyboard.
Most importantly for me the iCUE software is easy to use, it took a bit of experimenting to get the hang of the different options and how they work together but within one afternoon I was able to set up profiles for several of my games, plus some defaults to use at other times. The lighting is very bright (I actually keep it on about 50% brightness) and there’s minimal ‘bleed’ from one key to the next so even similar colours next to each other look distinct.
The only downsides are that at full price it’s quite expensive (especially given I don’t really need the per-key lighting and there are cheaper good quality keyboards out there) and the keys are very sensitive, which takes some getting used to. But it’s still a very good product and I’m glad I bought it.
This is some keyboard, it’s not click like I expected but there is noise from the end of the travel as the key bottoms out, they keys are super smooth in operation, its very well built, and the wow factor from the rgb effects are just amazing, I have nothing bad to say about this device, syncs with icue and wallpaper engine so I have a consistent set of effects across all my rgb stuff, feels spot on when gaming, no ghosting, the rgb is bright and clear, feels like a more expensive device then it is
I love the Cherry Lowprofile speed switches they make this keyboard, one thing that lets it down is the key caps-I am trying to search for some PBT caps with no luck so far. I had to fill the space bar with blutack as it made a horrible hollow ping. If you want a good gaming keyboard at night and a good office keyboard by day this is the one- I did pay 69 in the sale- would not buy for any more than 80. Also I had a driver issue at first but reinstalled ICUE (which I use anyway) and now sorted.
For a low profile mechanical gaming keyboard, this one is nice and affordable. The MX Speed switches are definitely for gaming though, for writing, I’d get something less sensitive.
Do not get the Cherry Viola version, those switches are crap, and you don’t want a low profile keyboard, you can get ones with better switches cheaper.
This is amazing . Plenty of options for your light show in the video ive shown just two from the Superman lighting pack. The keys are very sensitive to touch and very acurate. My only complaint is the lack of a wrist support not that i use one , but there will be someone out there that might need one.
There are lots of videos on YouTube to help you create your own lighting and with this keyboard you can use individual keys , but the lack of Macro keys is a slight disappointment for the heavy gamers . All i can say is im so happy with this iCue keyboard and a great price take a look for your self .
Mainly used for gaming and chat. The keys rattle a little so would’ve better with a key board specific lubrica
I have several mechanic keyboards, and this one has become my favorite since the first day because if its overall look, softness and feel. My colleagues are happy that it’s more quiet than the previous one with brown switches :))
Got this from Amazon Wharehouse and an absoloute steal at price i paid.the keys are responsive fully programable and match in with my icue case
Looks exactly like the pictures and its great for typing. As someone with smaller hands, I’ve found the low profile much more comfortable for extended periods of typing.
In terms of the switches, I switched from blues to speeds which i’ve found to be a welcome change. It may not feel as satifying to type in comparision however i’ve found the keys still have a nice deep sound as they are pressed as the key hits the aluminium base plate. The only issue is that they keys are very sensitive which means it does take a while to get used to.
The key caps are easy to take out and clean. The LED’s are fully customisable using ICUE and keyboard commands which can be synchronised with other corsair devices. The build is very good quality.
The keys and usability is incredible. Keys are not too high and the keyboard its self is light. Biggest issue is the edge of the keyboard is extremely sharp and have sliced my fingers on several occasions just moving the keyboard. If a country used these in the medieval ages they would win every wa
Great keyboard overall.
It is at its best while gaming.
Even though it is called Low Profile it is fairly high still.
That being said, it is still very confortable to type on and extremely responsive due to the low actuation distance of the switches.
It isn’t very loud which is a plus for me and has great build quality with the brushed metal top plate.
The worst part may just be the ABS keycaps but they are very easily swappable and I think it is almost a must at some point, because these do pick up a lot of fingerprints, especially if you tend sweat from your hands a lot.
The RGB is top notch, but there is no on board memory for profiles or macros.
Lighting and feel of the keys are great, only issue I’m having at the moment are the keys seem closer together than I’m used to so I’m getting multiple key presses. I think this is something I can get used to. The build seems solid with a tough aluminium chassis. Keys feel nice and a fairly quiet. Nice looking lighting and effects.
ied many keyboards but this happens to be the best for a gamer like myself
This is my first mechanical keyboard. Only wish I’d have bought it sooner. The choice out there is bewildering. After doing what felt like endless research I took the plunge with the K60. IMO the key action is perfect. Very little force needed so you end up typing lightly and therefore making a lot less noise. I haven’t encountered the metallic sound reported from other reviews, but that might be because some people have a heavier typing style. The sound level coming from a membrane keyboard is louder yes, but not distracting. The icing on the cake is the RGB which is simply beautiful and a doddle to use. I’m sure there are better keyboards out there, but for someone who types far more than they game this keyboard hits the mark.
You take out all the keys and lube the spring with Krytox 105 (gets rid of vibrations when you hit keys
and lube the stem with kryox 205 g0 (no need to take switch apart) you end up with a very good keyboard!
Also get some ISO PBT Keycaps from china and find the genuine wrist rest if u can for the non SE versions.
Only thing slightly bad is the 45g spring, its a little light, this is someone who has a daily driver of a Kailh Box Black 60G.
