Nothing negative to report. They are working well and improved my PC speed.
Started using an old HP Desktop and used this to increase RAM available. No longer get reports of running out of ram. Definitely faster PC after fitting.

Id bought some memory from a different source after a PC scan which I had to return because it didnt work in my PC even though its what they said I needed. Bought this as crucial recommended after a PC scan and worked perfectly first time.
If you know how these fit into a PC then putting them in is straightforward.
They seem like original Crucial items; no reason to think they are not I might add.
It is really good to get extra RAM and these do the job. So at the moment I recommend these items from Amazon.
Was a bit sceptical at first, but I needed to ensure the memory purchased was going to be compatible with my machine. I downloaded the app from crucial and hey presto it told me everything regarding the memory. How much I currently have, the maximum the motherboard could take and how many slots were already used are are free. The app gave me recommendations where to purchase the memory from. So I can confirm the memory purchased, my machine recognised both memory slots (2 banks of 8GB) and is working perfectly well. Easy!!
I bought 2 (4 cards in total) of these as a bit of a punt. My PC had 16GB at 1333MHz memory installed and I wanted to upgrade to 32GB at 1600MHz. When I tried to see if my PC would accept the upgrade the manufacturer’s web site was no help. Some of the support and help pages said you could and some said you couldn’t. It was a similar story with some of the forums I looked at. I ran a Crucial scan and it told me that I could upgrade so I went ahead and bought them. They had to come from Italy so were held up for a couple of days due to Niggle Farcearse, UKraP and Brexshit but they arrived a day earlier than estimated. It took about ten minutes to instal them. The only reason it took that long was because a, I was working in my own light and b, one of the slots was partially under the hard drive cage. When I fired the machine up it accepted them. There is a great difference of the PC’s performance.
So previously I bought the ram for upto 32GB of around 3600Mhx 2x16GB patriot but it didn’t fit nor it was supported so I was kinda little mad at myself until like a year later my friend comes to tell me to use “CrucialScanner” it scans your system for the most perfect highest upgrades your computer can use and I was astonished! Bought the ram 3 days ago and I was nervous it wouldn’t fit but it fit and made all my applications run even faster and more ram for everything as now my PC has successfully been fully upgraded!
I highly recommend using CrucialScanner for those who don’t know what parts are upgradable or not.
My old PC was running slow and had difficulty opening many tabs in a browser, but now I can open up many more without a stutter including running applications in the background which is super handy as I don’t have to keep closing and reopening programs.
I bought this to expand the RAM in my creaky PC in the hope that it would boost the performance and extend its useful life. It worked without any fuss and based on my experience so far my PC has been given a new lease of life.
Pity someone doesn’t make something like this for people.

Not available at Crucial website so I tracked it using product code. Another 3 more to go to complete the slot banks of 4, maximum 16GB.
This was delivered within 3 days, which was much quicker than I expected, and it worked as expected.
The price could be a cheaper as this is old memory tech these days, but I’m not complaining as I bought it at the price on offer, just knocking one star off.
Use the Crucial system scanner to check for memory compatibility with your existing motherboard, on the Crucial . com site and look for system scanner, to be sure this will work for you.
When installing, you need to press down quite firmly to ensure the card(s) are seated correctly. You will know it’s right when the clips for holding the card in place, rise up and clamp down as you press.
I used the memory cards to upgrade my memory from 8GB to 16GB. They were delivered ahead of schedule and I installed them on the same day. My PC is now running smoother.
I’ve fitted crucial before in my pc and it always worked very well. I’ve fitted other brands off eBay cheaper and my pc wouldn’t work. you can’t really go wrong with crucial and the prices are good on amazon. yes, i recommend it. Tony
I have long heard it said: To improve your computer’s performance increase the RAM.
It’s true.
Things do load faster and perform quicker or at least without a human perception of lagging.
I thought I could keep my old RAM in the system as well but there was an issue.
I have not had time to figure that out.
The 16GB of RAM has made a huge difference.
I’m expecting it to keep my antiquated machine going for a while.

I thought at first that this memory stip would not fit. When first you open up the Desktop there are two slots you can see straight away. These are not for this memory!!
You have to lift the hard disk assembly and the 4 long slots are underneath it.
Once found the memory is easy to install and worked straight away.
I wanted to upgrade my ageing 5th gen PC, and have my pc to be more capable of video editing and running multiple apps, I already have Kingston 8GB ram installed which has been reliable since 2014, and decided to get the crucial 16gb DDR3 1600mhz. I chose this as I knew that Crucial is reliable and will work flawlessly with my Kingston fury memory. As a footnote you can mix different brands of memory as along as the speed is the same. I now have the 24GB RAM and my system is stable and performs well with Photoshop/ and video editor without any crashes or bluescreen. I have used Crucial previously in my laptops and have had many years of service without any issues. I recommend this item for anyone who wants to upgrade their PC without comprising on the quality and the performance.
The memory modules came packed in individual plastic cases which provided good protection in transit. The quality of manufacture appeared to be very good and they fitted easily. on powering up everything was good. No complaints – even the price was good.
Use the Crucial Advisor to get a guaranteed compatible upgrade, search for the exact Crucial part code that is given, then just swap out the old 8GB kit for the new 16GB kit. Works a treat, plus the RAM speed has gone from 1333 to 1600, so the PC feels even more sprightly than might be expected.
Upgraded my pc from 4gb to 16gb. The memory modules installed without any problems. I have been using Crucial memory modules since 1998 when I first built my own PC and they have never let me down so far.
I bought this to increase the RAM in an ageing ACER M3910. I selected the upgrade on the recommendation of the app on the Crucial website which scans the subject computer and also after extensive research to determine how it should be installed in the four available RAM slots in my ACER to obtain dual-channel operation. I am pleased that it was immediately recognised by the computer after installation. In conjunction with a Crucial SSD this has provided a significant increase in speed on my computer. Of course, it’s early days yet, and I have no information on long-term reliability of the memory.
Whilst I have a reasonable amount of practical competence I am not an electronics engineer and was more than a little apprehensive about fitting these to my 9 year old Dell. I watched and read every piece of information I could find and decided I would go for it. I followed the instructions to the letter and used tips I had found in my research, like ‘don’t use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust from inside’. The old memory came out easily, the new went in without a problem having made sure they were paired correctly. Cover on, power on and away it went! The first time it was switched on it was a little slow to start up but no problems after that. The memory is recognised, all seems to be good, and I am both relieved and pleased.
Arrived direct from Amazon and is the genuine Crucial brand, cheaper than purchasing from Crucial themselves.
Slightly awkward to fit in a Dell mini tower as the DVD and hard drives had to be removed to access the Ram slots on the motherboard.
It has made a significant difference to the performance of the desktop and would recommend. I have been using Crucial memory for many years and it is my first choice selection.
Awesome product threw it into my old pc from 2011 what was 4 gig. Its a lot faster now. Windows 7 uses a fair bit of resources and my 4gig was always at 50% usage just idling on the desktop, now i have this stuff in i idle at 23% total ram usage.
Orderd this Saturday and got it Monday between 11:00 – 12:00. Had installed 15 minutes later. Great boost to my system. Thank Amazon for a efficient service and will be using you again in the near future.
Been getting fed up with my 4 year old pc.After watching YouTube videos about laptops I realised I should look at how much memory my pc has because maybe I could upgrade the memory to boost performance.using Mr. Memory website and using their tool it gave me memory upgrades and I searched amazon for compatible memory sticks. Found this and within 2 days I upgraded the memory. Took out the 4gb that was in the pc for this 8gb stick from crucial who I know are big pc accessories company and what can I say. My pc feels like new I can open up programs much quicker it zips through my work flow. Thinking whether I will add another 8gb but rest assured the crucial stick does what it should. comes in a simple plastic cover. It’s very simple to install and really does the job. Feel confident that your getting the real deal here. My only gripe if I have one is that for memory needed for a 4yr old pc 40 is a bit expensive but it’s still cheaper than buying a new pc that will do more or less the same thing as what you have now. I use this set in my computer that I use for streaming video games. Before I installed these RAM sticks I was using a 4GB stick of RAM. My computer would crash alot. With the new RAM, GPU and a stronger PSU it does not crash.
My Intel i5 based desktop was refurbed in 2010 after the motherboard died after 3 years. My Windows OS was then 32 bit and so I was limited to 4GB RAM. I always knew this seriously impacted the performance. Today I installed this Crucial 16GB (8GBx2) and the computer now really flies with multiple applications and endless browser tabs open. RAM is really easy to install but remember to ground your fingers on the PC’s metal casing, for example, before handling the chip by its edges.
I wanted to up-grade my ram from 8 to 16 Gig. and since my M b is a bit –to be kind early– and less than top of the range I had to get the whole 16G in one purchase, (only two slots you see). so when I came accross this set, I checked out it’s specs. and decided to give them a go. Good choice, price too!
Arrived as declared and just made sure I touched a bare metal surface before starting, to avoid any static problems. Very easy and simple to fit, took 5-10 minutes including taking the case off and putting it back on. Restarted computer and everything checked okay. Now showing 16GB RAM rather than 8GB. The memory arrived earlier than quoted and was well packaged. All great. Installtion into desktop proved a bit tricky but managed it and the extra showed up on reports. After a couple of successful reboots suddenly had a black screen and no peripherals working. Tried a few reboots without success. Eventually found a couple of ideas from a Google search (used phone) removed the extra memory and it’s working again. Not yet tried to reinstall the extra memory, probably need a bit more reseach before brave enough to try. So the delivery etc excellant but worth checking on the installation procedures. Hope this helps the next person.
If you are not buying your Crucial memory directly from Crucial, then to be absolutely sure that you are getting the right module for your system, I would suggest that you go onto Crucial’s web site. There, you can have them check your computer system online, to advise you which of their memory modules, if any, are going to work with your computer. You just have to download a small program from the Crucial web site and run it. It will give you all the necessary advice as to exactly what you can fit into your computer. It will advise if you have any spare memory slots, or if not, might suggest that you could remove and discard existing memory to upgrade to a higher memory capacity. All you have to do then, is either buy the suggested memory directly from Crucial, or buy from elsewhere using the exact module specified by the Crucial program. AH DIREKT were cheaper.
If you have never been inside your computer before, when doing so, ensure that the computer is switched off and the power lead removed. Then to prevent static, which could damage delicate electronics inside the computer, touch a bare metal surface, not a computer component. Be sure to locate the precise memory slot that you are going to use for the new memory module and then orientate the memory, so that the small slot in between the gold connectors on the memory module, will fit onto the peg within the memory slot on the motherboard. It should fit exactly into the slot — no overhang. Press your memory module into its slot using evenly spaced, gentle, but firm, pressure. If located properly, all of the memory’s gold connectors should have disappeared into the memory slot. Do not over exert.
Easily plugged into motherboard, gave me an additional 4gb RAM, which is what they do.
If you don’t have a see-through side panel then the looks won’t bother you, but lets be serious, they are horrific to look at, painful on the eye. But if you’re like me and upgrading a crummy 10 year old pc, then who cares what the inside looks like?
No idea why I didn’t upgrade my RAM sooner. For under 150 I turned a dog of a machine into a monster. 40 for this RAM was the first step and it made an immediate difference. Saved me hunting for a new machine for over 700 for a decent one.
Made sure I was buying the right stuff by checking various motherboard guides and also recommended hardware suppliers. Landed on this pair of DIMM memory sticks.
After they arrived, popped open my PC box, removed the old pair of 4GB DIMMS, the two new ones fitted easily, powered up and Windows recognised it had double the memory, and thats that.
PC runs a bit faster but most noticeably there is almost no delay when swapping between apps on a busy toolbar.
I bought this as my RAM decided to give up the ghost. I checked through the manufacturer’s website to check it was definitely compatible with my PC and it was, so I bought it. It arrived super fast and well packaged. There’s not much else to say really as RAM is RAM, but it went in easily (why you should check compatibility!) and worked straight away. I would certainly buy this brand again with a higher RAM when I have enough money!
Things do seem to be faster now and so far the hard disc has not been at 100% – which it was before.
On this basis , I would conclude that W10 should have at least 12 Gb for best performance.
The hardest thing to do was before buying to ensure that the new memory would be compatible with the existing memory.
Once fitted double checked with Speccy to make sure that both memory modules where running at the same frequency and on the same timings, etc.
Used the Crucial DDR3 memory to build a gaming PC for one of my grandsons. He’s 11, so, as with other components chosen, effective dependable performance was more important than absolute speed. These chips are working exactly as expected and he and I are both pleased with the results.
Bear in mind that for older computer you may need to install a BIOS update in order to work properly (for instance, if Windows won’t start properly or system is extremely slow after you’ve installed). Don’t worry — updating your BIOS isn’t as difficult as it sounds! Contact your system/motherboard manufacturer (normally can find BIOS updates on the support section of manufacturers website) and they’ll direct you to where you can download the software for free. Put your old RAM back in whilst you do the BIOS update, and then swap out for the new RAM once you’ve installed the update successfully.
