We bought these to replace a chipped one. We have had the original set for over 10 years and they are very sturdy and still very good to look at. I would definitely recommend.
Denby is a fantastic brand and makes a product I haven’t seen matched in quality. The plates may be pricey but you’re getting savings everytime you bump one and it doesn’t chip like all the other plates out there. Bonus that it can go in the oven and freezer, though obviously I wouldn’t recommend trying one straight to the other. Highly highly recommend! As for the colour, I wish I’d sprung for this design in the larger size as well. The inside is white the rim is a beautiful mottled blue-grey and the edge and bottom is a glossy solid black.
They’re super thick so when you warm them up in the oven (not too hot) they keep warm for ages so my food stays hotter. They’re quite thick to fit in the dishwasher but I’m not complaining.
I bought these for my mother in law. She had seen some on Emmerdale and for a while wanted to know where they were from. I tracked them down. Good quality cups with a nice sized handle-not too small. The cup itself is slightly larger than a cup but not as big as a mug. These are excellent quality, came well wrapped aswell.
Wonderful product, it would just be nice if it arrived in a few less pieces. Update- replacements received next morning, and damaged goods collected next morning. I love the bowls. Great after sales service
Bought these Denby Halo mugs to replace one of our set which had been chipped. We have been using Denby crockery all our married life (42yrs) and have had only a handful of mishaps in all this time.. so yes I would recommend Denby tableware dispite the cost premium.
These plates are fabulous! I like everything about them. They are the perfect sized dinner plates, fantastic quality, design and they are hard wearing! I’ve had my purple and grey design Denby dinner set for years and it still looks good as new! Just wanted a new design!
This was my very first purchase from Denby, impressed with the durability, however I’m astounded a the prices, had been given some vouchers, otherwise I don’t think I would have ordered them.
Would still like to collect some more items from this range if I’m lucky enough to receive more vouchers.
I ordered this set as I already had a set but went to stay with my daughter at first lock down, and when I came home my son seemed to have lost half my set. Couldn’t believe the price off this set as it was so cheap. When it came it was brilliant as it was half price I payed for first set.
We bought all the plates, cuprs/saucers, teapot, mugs etc matching Denby. It’s lovely quality, and says it is microwave proof and dishwasher safe. I’d attest to this, even the mug handles in the microwave don’t get hot.
Beautiful, and sturdy enough to last for years with our young family, we hope. For this reason we bought 8 of each just in case of some breakages!

The only thing i am not so keen on is the cups, slightly on the small side and you have to drink a hot drink fast as does not retain the hea
I guess my biggest concern before ordering this online was the risk that the items would arrive damaged or broken. Thankfully this wasn’t the case. Each item was packaged well and nothing was damaged at all.
The items itself are what you would come to expect from Denby, quality. Bought the matching pasta bowls as well. Love the design too.
I bought these plates for my own use and I’m very happy with them. However, had I purchased these as a gift I may have been disappointed. They were not advertised as “seconds” and yet one plate is less than perfect. Still a beautiful design and denby quality is unbeatable.
Denby by nature are quiet expensive to buy so when i see add on’s to the set i will get bits as they are useful to have,this bowl set is one of those useful to have,they came in a very sturdy box with protection packaging around them,there are 3 bowls which are of varying size which are handy sizes to,the 1st bowl is just down in size from the pasta bowls and the next is a size down from that,the small bowl is handy for things like herb mixes for placing over salads etc.
The price was alot better than you could get locally and cheaper than the Denby shop or site so for add on’s to a set it’s hard to resist,worth having for me but worth a look at if you would like to have matching bits on the table when doing a lunch and would like to put extra bits for people to help themselves to.
