Fantastic radiator which heats up quickly and will really warm a room.
It will cost 54p an hour to run on high according the current standard variable unit rates (accurate October 2023).
However, the good thing about these is they have a built in thermostat, so will power off and on to maintain the temperature. This will bring costs down a fair bit, depending on the level of your homes insulation.
A other bonus is that unlike fan heaters, they continue warming the room once they’re switched off. Fan heaters only create warm air which doesn’t last, so this is far better for longer term heating.
The timer is a fantastic feature, allowing you to control when it’s powering on.
It’s easy to move using the wheels, and has a great safety cut off feature.
Fantastic heater and hardly user any electricity
I have it on in my salon and would definitely buy agai
Heats up really quickly which is what you want when you come into a cold room.
Love it. Very happy with this purchase. Heats up very quickly, the heat fan gives out warm air & is relatively quiet. My only gripe is that the power lead is too short. Highly recommended for the price!
Operation good, but poorly designed mounting frame with inferior fixings.
Good value product could do with longer lead for high level plugs wheels are OK but a little cheap heats up quick and the Turbo Fan is a big asse
Im so glad I bought this, pumps out a LOT of heat for the size, timer is a god send in the cold mornings, in the evenings I blitz it for 30 mins then just 10 mins every hour or so to keep up the temperature, cannot understress how useful this i
The timer works great. It heats up well and is costing about 26ph hour. First 10 mins take about 63p hour to get oil heated then it’s as above.
Based on 2kw output uni
Ideal for attic bedroom warms up quickly
Timer a great bonus
Definetly recommend
Devola 2000W Oil Filled Radiator
Ignore that fan turbo rubbish. It sound like a turbo engine more like. What a silly silly gimmick.
The heater itself is fine. the timer I have not used yet, I may never do because I never leave these things switched on when i’m not awake.
The fan is awful. Really loud. Don’t bother
Easy to attach feet etc Worth the money? Maybe I dunno, watch this space…
simple and easy to use heater with great timer function.
Gets hot quickly but also cools down very fast after switching off so does not retain heat for long.
he instrutions are not very clear on how to use it . Once you have worked out how to use it it is easy to move and does warm a room very quickly.
Works very well. I was a little unsure about this heater but it is very efficient, keeping the temperature steady in our static caravan on cool evenings. Lots of settings, we only use on the minimum output, it’s plenty so far and seems to be economical, time will tell.
The timer can be a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper. It ones with the same wheels all the sizes come with (we bought a larger one also). This makes it a bit cumbersome and it would be better with a smaller set of wheel brackets they look really oversized for the heater.
Impossible it seems to register for the extra years warranty offered for free.
First of all, after reading some of the other reviews I think it is worth pointing out that my unit was not damaged, chipped or scratched at all when removing it from the box, so perhaps I have been lucky or a few other people were unlucky?
I have used oil radiators before, but this one is different from those as my other ones are basic on/off with a temperature dial. This device has that feature but in addition to that it has a timer and a fan, which are very handy features.
The timer looks a bit complicated but once you have used it once it is pretty easy to set, so don’t worry about it being difficult to use. The fan is a great feature, helps to heat up a room easier as the hot air travels, but it will use additional electricity of course.
It looks smart, I like the black colour and the cable wraps around a plastic part which means it is easy to stow away neatly – this is important to me as I don’t like cables to be lying around out of place.
From a price point of view, at 67 for a 2500 watt device this is cheap, and with the fact it has a fan and a timer makes this a bargain – five stars from me
Use this radiator as backup at the caravan, very neat easy to move, very pleased with my purchase
good value for money.
Found putting on the castors a bit of a struggle
In my opinion this oil filled radiator isn’t worth price they asking regarding quality you are receiving however it does have some nice features which other radiators lacking.
This version is 1500W which is good enough for medium size room, for about 15 sq meters or slightly more. I belive this wattage is good comparing to efficiency. Doesn’t consume that much of power and warms up room very quickly. For household where during winter central heating isn’t enough, have issue with radiators this might be great solution for cold nights. Thanks to build-in timer you can schedule 24h cycle of heating which gives that control element and helps save some money when heating is no needed
When i measure in around 3 minutes this radiator reached 100 degrees Celsius on bottom part of radiator and then following another 2 minutes it reaches the top. I like that there is fan which you can turn on or off to blow hot air and heat up radiator quicker too. So actually this is 2in1 heater.
For some bad things, legs are flimsy even when tightened screws, general quality of knob is rather poor, cheap plastic, same to them red tabs on timer, it is matter of time when they might break so be gentle with them.
I like this heater. First up, it looks good, in a nice gloss black finish. Secondly, fitting the stand / wheels was a breeze and took a couple of minutes tops. The controls are good, but I found the timer a bit bewildering. Maybe my age? The heat output is good, but it does take ten minutes or so to really start putting the heat out to any real noticeable degree. The fan is a great feature, so you can get warm air blown out as well as the radiating heat. Overall, a good heater. Recommended.
We have a small conservatory with no fixed heating system and this unit has proven to be the perfect solution. We decided on an oil filled radiator because we used to have a static home on a trailer park and used a couple of these to heat the place. It’s a great size, not too heavy, is on castors and has a timer system which is so useful. There are three power settings and the cable can be stowed safely and securely if you want to “park” the radiator out the way. The fan system to speed up the initial heating process is a bit weak but it’s better than nothing. My only real complaint is that in previous radiators I’ve used they had a frost setting so in the winter if the temperature dropped to 5 degrees the radiator would automatically come on to make sure you didn’t turn to a block of ice. This has no such system.
I got this to keep a small office warm in the winter months and it will be perfect for that. The small size means it fits in unobtrusively but I can’t imagine it would be great at heating a room much bigger. Build is a bit flimsy but I’m not expecting to move it about much. The controls are simple enough with 3 power options and a thermostat dial to control room temp. There’s a dial timer too if you want to set it to come on when you’re not there and there’s even a built in fan heater if you want to warm a room quickly but I have no need for that. The radiator sections are very thin so I do wonder how much heat it will retain when turned off.
Having owned the little brother of this @ 1000W, it is sufficient for a small room.
This bigger brother should do a medium living area of 3m x 3m, it didn’t let me down.
All the addition functions, timer, turbo heating and hear settings, it does have it all. And a little extra of the fan heater to assist the circulation of heat.
It’s heats up within 3-4 mins, and quite warm/hot to touch.
Weighs about 11kg and with wheels, I can move it from room to room easily.
With the energy bill going up, thinking of using this when needed.
However, with a product at this price range and brand, I would expect more for its finishing and more attention to details. ie: the heater fins seems unevenly painted or perhaps patched.
his is a 1500w oil filled radiator, gloss black colour, it’s a 5 fin radiator, quite compact for 1500w power output, a bit assemble required, intuitive and press standard setup for radiator, not hard to figure out
4 wheels underneath for easy maneuver, there is a little handle at the front, but if there is one more at the back it will be much better as the rear fin will be very hot when in use
there are quite a lot control dials and button on the panel, 3 levels of heat (approx 600w, 1000w, 1500w) and the min max dial could fine tune the heat, i’m keeping that to max level
this radiator also got the turbo heating fan, that it makes the air circulation better, it will cause about 200w power consumption but worth it, i could feel the hot wind coming out from the vent, but not too strong
i’m using it in my study room, which is around 150 square feet, turned the radiator on for 2 hours at its max output, and the temperature raised from 14 degree to 18 degree, power consumption is around 2kwh, not energy saving but definitely make the room warmer, heat is more effective within 1 meter from the radiator i can say
well, the built in timer is comprehensive, it’s not only on/off timer but a schedule timer, that means it could be set to turn on/off the radiator throughout the whole day (15 minutes each period)
all in all, i’m satisfied with this product, would recommend
hope you find these information helpful
It heats for sure. The fan though is a feature rather than a benefit to me. However 50 is good and the build quality is good enough amongst similarly built competitors.
