It is Dimplex so is of good quality.
Very realistic and the customer is very happy.
If you run the flame at full whack, you will need to top up the reservoir daily.
Half power and it will last a few days.

Optymist coal effect excellent compared any other fires I had looked at which were very artificial in comparison. Also easy to control using the supplied remote. Heats up my medium sized room very quickly. My only reservation, even as someone who is slightly hard of hearing, was the noise from the fan which I found to be quite intrusive at times.

Starting with the only complaint, the cable is too short! Although it is (just) long enough to reach the nearest socket a little more cable could easily been an advantage. That said the flame effect is amazing, at least when we have it on the lowest setting. There is a need to refill the water tank every daybed compared with the faff of coal or wood fires this is a small price. The fan heater is rather intrusive but it does supply a nice background heat when required. Altogether an excellent device.
