Docking station
Just got to have one
I recommend
The built quality is great. Nice sleek design that gives it a premium feel. It is quite useful especially with modern laptops and Macbooks as most such ports are missing these days. It solved my issue by providing different sorts of connectivity.
The performance is also impressive. It has triple display support which worked well and the data transfer speed over the USB port was perfect. Apparently, it seems durable to last longer.
Arrived well-packaged. The price is slightly expensive in my opinion.
Overall, I am happy to own it and will recommend.
It is well made hub
All PRO quality, from box to performance
It has top performance in output and picture quality
It is very versatile device and can be used with any device to increase its functionality
If you need a power device that will add extra connectors and ports, this is it.
I will say that top notch performance is best description.
If you’re a Macbook owner like me, you’ll need to plug stuff in
This docking station truly is a docking station, it has independent power
It has so many ports:
USB 2s
USB 3s
HDMI
Display Ports
3.5mm Jack
Ethernet
SD Cards
This mostly seems to live up to the specs though I haven’t tested it with anything ultra high res It has worked with all the devices and the build quality is decent. Everything firs well and there haven’t been any speed or reliability issues so far.
I’ve tested several docking stations over the last couple of years, and many that have seemed great to start with have shown a few weaknesses over time. The benchmark docking station that I use to compare others to is the Belkin Triple Display dock. While it lacks memory card ports, it allows triple port display set ups using both HDMI and Display Port connectivity. I’ve been using one of this on my office system since October of last year and it’s been superb, however it weights in at three times the price that the LIONWEI dock is currently available for.
Straight off the bat, the LIONWEI catches the eye with a USB-A 3.1 port, a little seen port that allows up to 10Gbps of data transfer, and backs this up with three USB-A 3.0 ports which have half the transfer rate. There’s an additional USB-A 2.0 too. Further to that there are memory card slots, 3.5mm audio socket, a gigabit ethernet port, a USB-C port which supports PD fast charging and a USB-C 3.1 port. This is a decent line up of ports, before you consider the display options.
And, I do mean display options, because this is where you need to consider if this is the right device for you. There are two versions of this docking station available on Amazon if you look closely. This particular version supports 2no Display Port sockets and 1no HDMI port. There is another version which swaps that around, instead offering 2no HDMI ports and 1no Display Port. Think carefully here about which is right for you. Generally, in my experience, display devices are more commonly supplied with HDMI ports. TV’s will always have those, very few if any have a Display Port. Computer monitors do often come with Display Ports, but not as commonly as HDMI ports. I have two PC monitors on my desk and only one has a Display Port, while both have HDMI ports. In my example, I would be better off with the other version of this dock, not the one I’m testing. That said, I was still able to test out all of the ports with my chosen configuration so it’s been perfectly fine.
There is no external power supply for this, unlike most of my other docks, instead drawing power from the connection to your computer. That’s worth bearing in mind if you’re on the move and running off battery power, but in reality this isn’t a device for taking around with you, it’s a dock you’re going to have insitu at home or the office. The beauty of docks like these is that you can plug in all of your devices into one location, and if you do need to go somewhere with your laptop you can just unplug one cable and you’re gone.
Is this as good as the Belkin? It’s not quite at that level, but it’s so close that you wouldn’t notice. Instead, what you’d be focussing on is the huge saving you’ve just made. It’s not a “name” brand, and I can’t vouch for longevity after a single week of use, but my early experience is that it ticks a lot of boxes and is a compelling alternative to a big brand you might have otherwise been considering.
I have a MacBook which I take with me when on the go and then when I come home, I like to sit at a desk with a bigger display, more peripherals and external storage.
This dock makes it very easy to have it set up. The dock has 2 display ports and an HDMI port which allows you to connect up to 3 external displays allowing for a much more streamlined workflow. It supports 4k60hz which is plenty for most people’s uses on a mac. It has a gigabit ethernet which allows for a fast and stable connection which is great for downloading data. There are 5 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports, which gives you plenty of options for external storage and more peripherals.
The dock is well-made with a nice metal exterior. It sits nicely on the desk without taking up too much space and stays nicely where you put it.
As i got the package with the docking station inside, I knew that it was going to be a good quality constructed product simply by the weight! Taking the station out of the packaging it was apparent that this is a well made and sturdy docking station and it also looks good too.
Plugging this into a PC and it was easy to run the unit using power through the connecting USB cable. Utilizing all of the USB ports was a breeze and this unit compares with others in terms of speed of connection and read/write as I added USB connections. One thing I noticed with this unit is it is maintains connection to USB sources in a more consistent way than some docking stations I have used recently. There has been no lag on peripherals or devices plugged in as there has with some (admittedly) cheaper docking stations I have tried.
Connecting monitors is easy to the HDMI port and you also have dual Display Ports to add further monitors. No problems with adding these or with the picture once they are connected – a good reliable connection for multiple screens.
Whilst a little on the high side for price this is an excellent quality docking station, easy to use right out of the box.
This is absolutely perfect, and just what I needed for my desktop – I’m always running low across my devices on enough HDMI and USB ports. This easily sorts it all out for me, as well as allowing me to plug in adapters, chargers and even put in the SD card of my camera. It’s so solid and sturdy, whilst remaining lightweight and easily portable. I’m a uni student, and I can easily bring this to university with me, no problem. Super fast, too, and doesn’t overheat. Really, really happy with this bit of kit.
I like this, I just wish it had an external power source, rather than relying on my laptop power to run everything. Very versatile, otherwise, and allows the use of three displays.
I’ve tested this with an iPad Pro M2 and a MacBook Pro M2, although IMHO I think this is better suited for Windows etc depending on your needs as per monitors etc (that’s a limit of Apple’s video over USB-C implementation not this hub). This works even without a power supply should you need it while on the road, but of course that will all depend on your laptop and what you’re plugging into it.
OK so what I tested were the ethernet, USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, DP. All worked absolutely as expected and well. I tested the USB-C with a Sandisk Extreme SSD, and I got a transfers of 850MB/s Write, 712MB/s Read which was virtually the same as connecting them directly to my Thunderbolt 4 ports on my MacBook Pro, so no complaints there. As to monitors, Looked this up to a LG 4K display plus a Dell HD display, via HDMI & DP (separately), both synced and worked perfectly.
So all in all everything I threw at this is worked great. Build quality if great, all the ports are solid, the outer casing is either metal or a hard plastic that really looks like metal, it looks smart and is very well finished. Can’t really fault it to be honest, if the ports and configuration suits you then go for it.
I’ve got an MSI that can’t be charged via UBS C. Turns out, you can just plug it in and you don’t need to worry about a power supply for it, it gets it charge from the laptop itself. I’m running it with a Two monitor set up and it works perfectly.
Bought this item to use with a WiFi Dongle. The WiFi Dongle keeps disconnecting when plugged into the USB plug. WiFi Dongle works without issue when plugged into the Laptop directly. Have not used it yet for the two monitors, will update the review if this is also unreliable.
I love this USB C dock – I’ve tried lots and this is a step ahead with one particular winning feature that I really value – extra USB C ports! This has two useful USBC ports on the top of the bar that I find I’m using at least one of almost constantly – well worth it alone in addition to adding the gigabit ethernet which I find superior for stability over even Wifi6. This is the best dock I’ve used to run two 4k monitors, albeit only at 30hz, but otherwise super responsive and the most stable for a bar dock that I’ve tried. This unit is an absolute beast and feels solid and well made, overall I’m impressed and I’d highly recommend this especially at the price point which is circa 65 at the time of review – half the price of some equivalents I’ve tried to achieve this same goal!
5.0 out of 5 stars stunner - great value - driving two high res displays and having useful usable port selectio
Great docking station, one lug and your done and transform your laptop into a complete workstation with a couple of screens.
Mainly been using the USB ports and ethernet on this instead of the screen extension and its worked flawlessly and as its powered I get a better change speed on my phones when connected than to just the laptop.
Gigabit lan was the main kicker for me as my surface doesn’t have a lan port. I’ve gone from transferring data at around 20mps to 240mps. Its mean that moving videos across from a file server to my tablet now takes no time at all.
At the time of review, this LIONWEI 10-in-1 USB-C docking station is in the Black Friday sales in November 2022 at 52.79, but even at its full price of 65.99, this is one serious bit of kit. I have used this with my MacBook Pro (2018) and an LG monitor, and have had no issues with extended or mirrored use between the two devices. There is no flickering or lag, and the docking station doesn’t overheat. Data transfer seems fast, and I certainly have no problems opening files and folders from a USB Pendrive. It feels robustly designed and manufactured, and I expect it will last a decent amount of time!
Extremely efficient and versatile usb-C hub which delivers massive work station. This 10in1 is perfect to maximise usability of device in case you don’t have many inputs which in these days unfortunately is most of devices.
I plugged it to my ipad pro which obviously has only type C input and nothing else so this kind of hub is perfect for that. It has everything you need which is ethernet port, 2x hdmi 4k & 8k support, 2x usb-A 3.1 and 3x usb 3.0, 1x usb-C and one type C for purely power purpose. If you want utilise all usb at same time you need plug it in to external power otherwise it won’t have enough to support all usb’s.
Worked flawlessly in my case, well build and powerful also considering support 10gbps data transfer. Very happy with whole experience.
I have an M1 MacBook pro and often get tired of only having the 2 USB-C ports, this dock solves that.
You just plug it into one of the USB-C ports and you instantly get access to 10 new ports, 5 of which are USB-A ports which means you have plenty of space for connecting peripherals and external storage devices.
This adapter is very well-made and looks great. It is quite big due to the number of ports, this means it isn’t the best for travelling however it is great to leave with all your peripherals and displays plugged into at your desk, then when you get home, you just plug it into your MacBook and everything just connects.
The hub has a nice metal finish which looks very modern on your desk whilst still keeping it fairly light. Overall, I would say this is a great option to add more ports to your MacBook.
An one USB C and does it all dock.
Mainly using for its dual screens, working fine on both my laptop and tablet. – and support up to 8K on one, although can’t test it, but happy with the 2 full HD currently.
The gigabit ethernet port also handy to have stable and fast connection.
All the USB is just great accessing or using for the external devices.
The USB C also does PD charging.
Some of the 8 in 1 functions could have been retained here, ie: the switch and the card reader.
The built quality is pretty solid, and nice shinny aluminium throughout.
Good price for under 60.
I have tried & tested various different brands of Type-C Hub in the past. I work in the IT field and this is one of the better USB-C HUBs / Docking stations I have tried.
The docking station is all metal and feels quality. It looks quality too! As soon as you unbox the device, it delivers the power that is promised.
Upon connecting to my Windows 11 laptop, all ports came to life and were immediately recognized. The 2x USB 3.1 works with no issue as well as the 3x USB 3.0. I have not experienced any data drops or lags when using with multiple drives connected simultaneously.
It comes with dual HDMI ports which is a bonus for me and does support extended display and mirror display, the Gigabyte network ports work seamlessly.
I am very pleased with the Lionwei docking station. The dock is versatile and works with my Note 10 Plus too(see video) It perfectly replicated the HDMI whilst the USB 3.0 ports were also detected.
The price was a bit step at time of purchase at 65.99 for the 10in1 hub, but you are paying for quality. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Grabbed this to use with my steamdeck. Wasnt sure if it would work, as the steam deck can be funny with hubs, but it does!. I have connected a keyboard and mouse, 2 monitors, and also an eithernet cable. Its very light and has a nice design that looks high end Ive tested memory cards and usb drives on it and all work. The main feature though that has impressed me is that it powers the deck throught his hub also. Great device and eliminates my need for a steamdeck dock.
I received this product from Amazon Vine Program and it arrived on time. This is usb-C Hub, 10 in 1 essential tool for computer, tablet and cellphone users. This hub is very sturdy and durable. It can be used long years. It is made from aluminium.
You can see:
-3X USB 3.0,
-2X USB 3.1,
-2X USB Type C,
-2X HDMI,
-1X RJ45
I tested them via my Android tablet and I can confirm that this hub works flawlessly. I haven’t seen any issues regarding its performance. I’m pretty sure that you will not be disappointed with this USB type C hub.
In the market there are tons of type C hub and if you need multi ports for your works, I certainly recommend usb type C hub with 7 or over the number of ports. Even you can connect to two different display via this hub.
If the type C cable was a little longer than its current length, it would be exactly one hundred percent perfect product. However, it is great hub.
Overall,
I’m happy with my choice and highly recommended.
Thank you.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, well made and can be used for long years.
Very good USB hub works wonderfully without any faults or issues literally the definition of a plug and play item so does get some plus points has of course 10 ports that can be used with dual monitor support as well which if needed is a solid plus but some people will just be using this as an expansion for having minimal slots available.
You get
x2 – USB 3.1 Slots
x3 – USB 3.0 Slots
x2 – USB-C Slots (One is considered for powering or charging devices from)
x1 – Ethernet Port
x2 – HDMI ports
The Hub itself is really light but incredibly chunky compared to others available on the market and its larger size is something I consider a negative since its being used with a laptop and travel wise smaller = better, the cable for attaching at this price point I’d preferred to of seen a braided cable.
Still a really good hub besides the points stated would recommend mainly for desk usage possibly travelling it’s just not what I’ll be taking it can have a place on my desk.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good hub but clunky in comparison to others.
My first mistake with this was realising it was a USB 3 connection – I don’t have one of those on my old laptop so had to use a USB to C adaptor. Once I did that though, this worked a treat. I work from home so I have a laptop, 2 screens, 2 printers, my portable chargers for my phone and vape and my Wifi (plus ethernet if needed when wifi is being rubbish) – I tried it all in one go thinking it would weed out the problems, but there were none! Everything connected ok, ok all my equipment is fairly new apart from my laptop so I don’t know if older devices would have any issues but I didn’t – this is great piece of equipment, it’s well made, it doesn’t slip, connections are all snug with no wiggle room and it looks good!
Housed in an alloy extrusion, this is quite a weighty hub at 166 grams. The weight and the anti-slip rubber strips on the base means that it should stay put on a desk; the satin dark gray finish means that it won’t look out of place. It appears to be destined for connection to a laptop or tablet, as the USC-C input lead is 230mm long, meaning that it’s a bit short to connect to a tower. There are plenty of connection possibilities: 1 x RJ45, 2 x HDMI, 3 x USB-A 3.0, 2 x USB -A 3.1, 1 x USB-C data, and 1 x USB-C PD charging up to 96 watts. The USBs are not switched; however, a tiny LED lights adjacent to the USB port when something is plugged in. It looks and feels well-made, and is competition for many others that are pricier.
There are number of hubs for the USB C connection – but they are not all equal, some say they are USB 3 but have some USB 2 ports, many have card readers, some have Ethernet connections, other’s HDMI, etc. etc.
This hub stands out because the ports are USB 3.1 standard giving a high theoretical speed of up to 10Gbps – device dependent.
The HDMI port is 4K/60hertz, and the USB C supports charge-through when connected to an appropriate charger and battery powered device.
This appears to be a well made device and offers more than many similar hubs.
As ever the usual caveat regarding longevity and durability applies for a new from the box review.
Lovely design has lots of ports to use
Very solid design and easy to use
The screen quality is amazing

Very nice quality hub, finished in a solid and substantial metal casing.
Connections seem very stable so far, and data transfer is quick.
I’m used to cheaper quality hubs, and I did query the price at first, but I can definitely now see a major difference, and appreciate the price.
While the cable is nice and heavy duty, I would have preferred it to be a bit longer as others have said, but it’s not a deal breaker.

Thank you.
Pros:
Well made
Solid and sturdy
High quality materials
7 in 1
Allows fast charging
Allows fast data transfer
SD reader included
USB 3
HDMI
Cons:
Price could be a little cheaper
No LAN port
I’m being asked to rate camera quality but there’s no camera on this!
Product image is accurate.
