Excellent well made storage unit. Perfect for large patio furniture cushions. Takes a little while to build and you may need to drill a few holes larger than provided to get screws in.

Very heavy but large and sturdy. Needs 2 strong people to move this box. Very large but sturdy. Panels have to be built to put side panels together. Construction was slow . Fits loads of cushions and long sofa cushions. Very tall so hard to reach in. Long lasting

We have 2 of these now, this one slightly bigger than the first one. Keeps everything dry and tidy. Good quality instructions and fittings. Definitely a 2 man job though. The lid stays up by itself and it fits everything we need it for. Looks good too. Very happy.

Delivered really quickly, easy enough instructions taking me an hour on my own to put it together, sides feel flimsy to start with but once all together it is sturdy enough.
Some folks complaining about putting the sides on upside down but I’m not sure why, there are holes along the top and bottom of the panels, the bigger holes go to the bottom so you will be able to see the locating hole, the end panels have 2 extra holes at the top as this is for the handles. Just think about it before putting it together. Also look at the instructions and don’t get carried away with screws and washers, some of the screws do not need the washer and this is detailed at the top of the instruction page, it shows what is actually needed.
I will be sealing the panels to the bottom edge just to prevent water entering, not something you have to do but is a precaution.
A magnetic drill, screwdriver etc will certainly help as the screws are small but perfect for what they are used for.
Overall I really like this storage box, great size and outstanding price , there is not comparison against the plastic ones, this one is much better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with Storage box

This is by far the biggest cushion storage box 1450L I have seen, took 2 of us approx hour and half to put together with a few mishaps(side panels wrong way up) along the way. Once put together very sturdy, instructions easy to follow, slight dent on lid and base. All in all pleased with purchase so bought the next size down 770L. Only bought April/May now price has dropped.

Not the easiest to assemble. But good precise instructions. Well made. Well protected. All item clearly numbered for ease of assembly. All quality, self tapping screws.
All in all. Great big storage box.

Like others I struggled with all the screws. Took me over 4 hours to construct but it went faster once I realised I had put the sides in upside down. You need to align the larger holes of the sides with the smaller base holes! It also helps being an octopus and wearing gloves. I cut my hand twice on the sharp edges. But I am pleased with the finished product. You could hide about 5 bodies in there so its big!

The end product is worth the pain of putting it together- takes over 2 hours (unless I’m just very slow) and you need to be careful with the side sheets which are lethal. The instructions are fairly clear. All I needed was a screwdriver, and a small spanner. Definitely worth the money

After waiting some time for this product to come back in stock, once ordered, it arrived within 3 days. The packaging was a little damaged. It is huge. It took my builder partner just under 4hrs to build on his own. Balancing the side panels to connect to another was difficult on his own as they are quite flimsy singularly but once the top rail is on, it all holds together firmly and is light enough when empty for 2 people to carry. It would definately help if another person helps to hold bits. All pre drilled holes aligned well. Some people have mentioned that the lid was off kilt but this only happens if the box isn’t sitting square when fitting the lid. I needed it to put in three 6ft patio cushions as the 750ltr one was too small. I’ve now fit in the cushions, 12 smaller cushions, a 3m x 2m pool and frame, a filter pump and hoses, 12 filters, 3 large rugs, 4 tall solar lanterns, 26 rubber floor mats, 3 camping chairs, swing ball, snorkeles, noodles, boogy boards and there’s still room for more. There are a couple of scratches (from the damaged box) but they are at the back so I don’t mind, I’m sure it will get more over time. I’ve checked it after 2 heavy down pours before I filled it and it was bone dry. Just make sure you have enough room to put it somewhere.

Long wait for delivery but it was worth it. This is a large box and is big enough to store our bulky cushions for our garden furniture and then some. Husband ( with a little help from me holding the parts while he screwed it together ) found it fairly easy to assemble. Took about 3 hours with breaks as we were assembling it on one of the hottest days of the year. Easy instructions to follow providing it is assembled in order shown. Good sturdy box and competitive price.

This is a great storage box, but be aware that it is a two person assembly and it will take 3-4 hours.
This is flatpack extreme with every part needing to be assembled (and there’s a lot of parts). Saving grace is that the instructions are good!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great storage

Ignore reviews for 3 hr build . Took 1 hr 30 min taking my time and on my own. Excellent quality and all holes lined up great with no additional drilling like others said. .tips for assembling are build on flat surface and check labels on each part and cross red to instructions .

I cant understand what a lot of reviewers were saying about it being difficult to put together. Im no expert but it took about 1.5 hours and i did it by myself. Instructions are clear if you follow them and have basic skills. Really good product!

Miscarriages securely packed. Once open it was easy to identify the relevant bitsvto out together and which size screw boLt to use. Once compost it is sturdy though I would put to much on the li?d or it will dent. One draws back is the position and gap for a padlick, at first I couldn’t get one to fit and had to buy a smaller one and even then it was not easy.

I read a few of the negative reviews but thought I’d give it a punt… Took about 3 hours to build and the instructions were reasonably easy to follow along with all the bits being clearly marked. I must have got lucky as all holes lined up, all corners were square, no parts missing and the correct hinges supplied.
A criticism agreeing with others is the box is not secure even after setting the handle internal latch to fit tight. I may fit a couple of padlock clasps if I feel the need. For its size, it seems reasonably well priced IMO.

Two of the three hinges supplied were incorrect. (Amazon were happy to offer a full refund). I just wanted two correct hinges. I telephoned duramax on their freephone number, I used the contact form on their website and I emailed them. Absolutely zero response from Duramax. Product is great but if anything goes wrong – you are on your own. (Just to confirm – Amazon great, Duramax rubbish).
Update (2 weeks later). Finally managed to call a freephone number in the USA and got through to a person who immediately got someone from Europe to contact me. Replacement hinges were Fedexed to me within 5 days (from UAE). So, ultimately, I am happy with a fully functioning and well made product.

Once it’s assembled it’s great. Massive. Takes corner sofa cushions plus parasol and bench seat pad easily. BUT it’s not easy to put together. Don’t even try to do it alone.

Great storage container. Little tricky to assemble but well worth it. Great value for money. I put a few lengths of wood (2×1) underneath the base (as it is slightly raised so rain doesn’t get in) just to make it a bit sturdier as I am using it for kids toys and scooters etc rather than cushions as it is recommended for.

Takes a bit of time to assemble but easy enough if the instructions are followed. As other reviews have said it looks flimsy to start with but when built is sturdy enough.
Great amount of storage space and the hydraulic arms are a good addition.
Very happy with purchase, especially after being bought to replace a previous item, (Keter Midi box), which was utter rubbish.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFirstly, I assembled this by myself, i would suggest a second person even if they only steady the panels whilst you insert the screws.
I am well educated & work hands on in the construction industry, so i know what im doing.
4 hours & very difficult to follow instructions. Some of the parts were missing there identification numbers. Trial & error is inevitable, but with a little persuasion & intuitiveness all went together well. I strongly suggest you construct it in situ as moving the box causes the panels to buckle.
The whole box can be assembled with one Philips screwdriver other than the final tightening of the handle bolts which due to there small size an adjustable spanner is best.
Would I recommend, yes when constructed, no if your diy skills are limited or if you have a short fuse.

The box is adequate for our needs, and of good quality, however, it was quite tricky to put together, instructions could be better. Also, the pArcel when it arrived, was badly damaged, the box inside was dented on the lid and the base. We didn’t make a fuss, but right at the end of putting it together, one of the gas rams won’t work. So in all very disappointed, but it Is not so much with the item but with the delivery firm. Would maybe have refused delivery but due to corona virus the van was gone before we looked at i

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBought this as this was the only garden storage box available with decent internal dimensions to take our cushions without having to squeeze or fold them to fit. The instructions are ridiculous. Not clear to follow at all. On completion there are small gaps at the bottom so it would probably benefit from being raised off the ground should there be a torrential downpour and you have any standing water, as I would imagine the water would find a way through. I ended up putting some bubble wrap around the inside base / edges and taping it to the inner walls just to ensure the sofa cushions don’t get wet. Other than that it seems ok.
ADDITIONAL NOTE- rainwater came through the holes on the top lid where the screws are for the brackets under the lid 🙁 wet cushions.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe cushions for our garden furniture are huge. This box swallows them. It has seen some awful weather, and the cushions are completely dry. The lid is large and quite heavy, but the hydraulic rams make it easy to use. It has a good finish, and looks OK in the garden. The only downside, and why I gave it four stars instead of five, was that the assembly process is quite lengthy. It is best with two people for most of the time, and you need to take very careful stock of where all the little screws and washers and nuts are hiding as you go along. A terrific storage box, once you’ve built it.

Lovely large storage box and very secure. No chance the rats will chew through that to get to the bird feed like they did with the previous plastic one. Colour blends in to my garden and the lid having pistons really helps. Knocked one star off because it took over 3 hours to put together and I was a whizz at Meccano as a kid!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGood box offering great storage potential but the metal sheet is really thin. It has been corrugated for strength; however, by the time I had finished wrestling with assembly it had two creases – one each in the side and lid – my fault but shows just how thin is the sheet metal. Lots of reinforcing at the corners and for the lid – which is just as well. Interested to see how rust-proof it is after a year outside. God to have the two support struts for opening. Instructions clear.

Pay attention to the instructions and you shouldn’t go wrong. Assembly is much easier with assistance from a friend. Leave tightening the screws until the box shape is complete as lining up screws and holes is difficult once the screws are tight. This is a capacious box – plenty of room for more than a few cushions. The metal is quite thin but once assembled the box is reasonably sturdy. Very good value for money compared to similar products (and probably better for the environment than plastic).
