Required a travel bag to accommodate 2/3 days travel and found this excellent piece of luggage. Really pleased with it.
Purchased for my fussy 20 odd son..
Loves it. Holds his laptop and all his clothes for the weekend
Very stylish and he has been asked several times where it was purchased
Tough material, strong zips and straps. Sturdy handle and wheels. Only issue is that considering it is a fabric case and not a hardshell, it’s pretty heavy. Consider this if you fly a lot with low cost airlines
I have a large Eastpak case so when I needed a carry-on I went straight to this one. Excellent bag, perfect for 5 days away, fitted neatly in overhead lockers and the lock means you don’t have to faff about with padlocks. Eastpak isn’t the cheapest on the market but this is very much a case (pun not intended) of you get what you pay for. I’ve thrown out several cheaper carry-ons that didn’t last a holiday so have learned my lesson now and this should last me a good few years and trips.
The compartments allowed me to store a lot more items than I usually would in such case size, and it was easy to reach every item without having to take out everything above it. After one trip with a lot of rolling on pavement, it still feels as good as new.
Great case light wight and fits everything in for your sort breaks
Perfect size and shape for trips to Ireland by plane. Looking forward to taking it on Eurostar next.and it doesn’t make a noise when being pulled along.
Fitted enough clothes etc for an 18 day African safari and sat in overhead locker for transcontinental flight.
Bought for short work trips, this case is perfect for the job, reasonably priced, good quality, very light weight, handle is easy to operate and really good quality, manoeuvres very well up and down steps/on escalators/on and off the train etc., two zipped compartments for separation of items, and well padded. I’ve used it half a dozen times now and in honesty I can’t fault i
After many years with my old solid suitcase I’ve decided to go soft. This specific one is perfect, good for 4-5 days trip. Looks great and it’s incredible how much you can fit in, much more than the solid ones.
Wheels are very well builded, and the handle luggage is solid and feels it will never break!
I travel a lot, several times a week.Highly recommended!
Stylish but study lightweight carry ona weeks worth a gear for a summer break! Couldn’t be happie
My very picky daughter loves this case. She’ flown with it and is away again to a music festival with it. So it must be hip and trendy! For the adult I’m me it’s a great size for a week away. Plenty of room and sold and sturdy without having much weight ti it in the first place.
Bought to travel to the US and needed a good quality cabin bag. This fitted the brief. Exact size for Virgin airlines.
Well thought out interior, can fit a great deal into this bag.
Would recommend
Ive bought a few eastpaks over the years. Really good quality
Good item if you’re looking for a lightweight case, only issue i had was i put a small travel bag on top of it which was fine when walking as item rolls but when standing it fell over which was frustrating in airport. Stood fine without additional bag. All round very good item., would recommend.
Love the different sections in the case. Helps to keep clothes tidy. good colour as well. All in all the best of this type of bag I have had.
I’ve been using this case for weekly journeys and it is great. Really smooth wheels, hard-wearing and waterproof. Soft sides mean you can cram a lot in too and there are lots of useful pockets etc.
Lightweight and very adaptable. Perfect for a week away… Accepted on all airlines. Now just need a chance to fly, instead of holiday cancellation upon cancellatio
I like the material used, the flexibility to expand and contract.
A sturdy bag, great quality, as the bag is mentioned in the description. However, one of my zip didn’t have a zip…
This is a great well made carry-on bag that was sturdy and allowed for quite a bit of clothing to be stuffed in. Also easy to store away, which was exactly what I was looking for.
Great design, it fits a lot in. It isn’t able to stand up without falling when I put another, smaller “topper” bag in top
This is obviously I high quality product and it is from what I can feel very sturdy. But that also means it is a little bit heavier than my older takeon luggage. Still, depending on the airline, I have to be careful what I pack in it. I am happy with this purchase and the only reason I lowered the rating by one star is for something that I honestly don’t think they can do, at this price range, which is to give me that level of toughness, and very light weight. So this is really a 5 star product, as long as you only need light weight stuff inside i
Very good quality and material, very sturdy, dimensions are also good for using it as a hand luggage on a plane
Beautiful colour and the wheels work so smooth
Very pleased
Great suitcase. Well made, lightweight. I like how it can be tightened when it’s not full to take up less space. When it’s empty it’s very compact, which is great if you live in a flat and have limited storage space.
It’s sort of shapeless when it’s not full, and doesn’t offer much protection on the front, but for clothes it’s fine.
I love this so much! Bought it on a friend’s recommendation and it’s fantastic – light, roomy, good wheels, looks fine, fits in overhead lockers, squashes down easily when not full etc.
It looks small but is like a tardis! I like the solid(ish) bottom with the flexible material on the sides and top to push things in and make the best use of space. The zip is sturdy and I love the combination lock built in. The wheels make little noise when being pulled and are smooth, with a long handle for pulling. All in all a great case for a few days away.
This bag is an unsung hero, the sort of thing that simply does it’s job with minimal fuss and you know you can rely on.
Have been on a handful of trips now and it’s always been reliable. Its got a 30 year guarantee, and definitely can see it getting a lot more use in the years to come.
The only change I would suggest is adding a padded laptop pocket in the middle, but wrapping a laptop in a jumper does the same thing.
I took this luggage on an overnight trip to Europe as hand carry. The luggage met the restrictions for all 3 airlines during my trip – Flybe, AirFrance and KLM. Fitting it into the overhead compartments was easy because of the slim shape (Flybe had the smallest space among the 3). There is some functionality missing because it has 2 wheels and not 4, but movement was very smooth. I don’t actually miss having 4 wheels. Delivery was also really fast (thank you). Great hand carry bag and highly recommended.
Love these bags! My son ‘assumed’ ownership of my previous model , so I replaced it with newer version (with the lock). My husband was immediately gealous on seeing it & ordered himself one for work travel the same day.
These bags are great all round flight bags. I spend most months travelling and these will last years. Having 2 sections is great for being organised. Proper skate wheels put up with abuse and handle is sturdy. Not super trendy but great if you are a serious traveller.
Good quality and feel to this cabin size bag. Only used once up to now and evrything seems ok. Only slight negative, I wish the zip pullers were slightly bigger and a different colour, it would make finding the zip a little easier when wanting to open the bag. Very pleased with bag overall.
Becoming an age when pulling a wheeled bag becomes more attractive than carrying all the time. The design and looks are great and a local test out shows that the handle and wheels work well.
OK, so not a great number of compartments, but enough, and the use of packing cubes is recommended.
Am looking forward to doing more short breaks with hand luggage. Should be perfect for local carriers Jet2 & Flybe. Wizzair may be a problem. Probably good with others as well.
I really like this bag because although it is very compact I can fit so much into it. It fits easily into the overhead lockers, is very sturdy, it rolls well and it has well placed handles making it easy to pick up and carry when needed.
This looks very smart and moves around easily. The compartments inside are really useful and keep the contents tidy and in place. The inclusion of a TSA approved lock i found to be an excellent idea.
Very happy with this suitcase. Each side has a zip cover, and it’s possible to fit a couple of things between the halves as well. I would have preferred 4 wheels, but the two work well, and the handles are sturdy. For the price I have no complaints
I love these suitcases, I now have 7 in various sizes and colours. This size is perfect as hand luggage and fits enough for a week away at a push. The rubber wheels are my favourite feature as they don’t make irritating sounds as you pull them! Super lightweight, this won’t pack on any extra kilos!
I spent a lot of time researching which carry on bag to purchase. While there are more expensive, sturdier and better looking carry ons out there, I decided to go with the Eastpak, mainly for the following reasons
BRAND – I’ve always considered the Eastpak brand name to be synonymous with affordable quality, and I knew that I would be getting a well made product if I decided to go with them. While user reviews are incredibly useful, I’ve known the Eastpak brand to be reliable for many years now and knew they wouldn’t steer me wrong
COMPRESSION STRAPS – The straps on the sides to help for compression really do make a big difference. Because of the lightweight cloth material used for the outer layer of the bag, you can really squeeze this bag into smaller spaces than expected.
AESTHETIC – OK so it’s not the most elegant looking carry on (the Away bags for me are much sleeker), it does retain that classic Eastpak feel. For me as long as you opt for one of the more understated colours (Black Denim, Grey etc), rather than the more outlandish options, this bag can look great being used for any kind of trip
I bought this as a travel suitcase for a short weekend away. I already have a set of medium sized and one large sized in the Eastpak range, and I can’t fault them. There is ample room in each size, and the straps can be loosened or tightened, depending how full your case is. It has one compartments in the top and one in the bottom of the case, and you can fit lots in the middle too for when you fold the top shut.
When using it as a pull along, the wheels are smooth and relatively silent.
A recent addition to newer suitcases is the combination lock, which is supposed to be to replace padlocks so that airport security can open if necessary without wrecking the case. I must admit, I haven’t quite mastered how to use it yet, but its a good idea.
Highly recommended. And if you’re not too bothered about colour, you can get a fairly decent priced one here on Amazon.
Great little travel case, I got a fantastic deal in the sale! Used it twice now and really like it! Only even better if would be if it had a few more smaller pockets on the outside of the case
Our old case had a wheel failure, so we needed a new one.
This one has good solid strong wheels, which means hauling it over many footpaths, airports, railway stations is a breeze.
Great product and would buy again.
Great little suitcase suitable for 2-4 days away (depending on how many shoes you want to bring). I fit 2 pairs of shoes and enough clothes for work for 4 days and toiletries and while full it worked great. Really sturdy and looks great. Stands upright IF you pack clothes tightly in the compartment next to the feet.
I bought these after looking at reviews of carry on bags. We used them for the first time last weekend. They lived up to their billing. A very well thought out case that can accommodate enough clothing for a long weekend.
If, like me, you are constantly on and off planes and trying to utilise the allowance to the absolute maximum without compromising quality and comfort then this definitely a case worth considering.
I’ve tried cases with 4 wheels, they lose too much capacity for the convenience of the extra wheels.
I’ve tried the minimalist lightweight backpacks, but the lack of wheels can become a real drag if you’ve had a long week away from home.
I’ve tried the combo wheel/backpack cases, but they don’t really excel in any particular aspect.
This case gets the balance of portability and capacity just right.
The fabric sides offering a bit of flexibility to really pack things in combines well with the compression straps to make sure it will pass the airline size test, without the added weight from a hard shell case.
The wheels don’t take up too much space from the compartment, but offer a very smooth and effortless movement around busy airports.
There is only 2 main compartments and no real space to organise small items like cables, chargers etc, but honestly that’s fine IMO. You can really squeeze a lot of stuff in there, so you could get separate packing cubes and organisation items if needed, plus most airlines allow you to take an accessory bag (such as laptop bag), which is something I would recommend exploiting.
The handle is very good. Feels solid and well made, comparable to most other high end suitcases. If you have an accessory bag with a handle strap, there should be no concern with using it on this case.
This is the best luggage case ever for short-stays and travelling light.
It’s light, spacious and fits in overhead storage (it even looks small when fully packed so never gets checked on the weight)
Personally, I use this for travelling with work so I’m away between 2-4 days at a time. This case easily fits 4-5 days worth of clothing.
The maximum load I’ve been able to carry so far was 4 days clean clothes (both for work + the evenings), shoes, ipad and laptop all in this case alone.
Even if you you have to use a cheap airline and only 1 bag is allowed, you can slot your laptop bag in the top very easily.
It’s also great if you have OCD about packing and/or were a tetris champ 🙂
This has proven a good buy. Storage layout works well and its very clever. I’ve learned to put high value breakable stuff on the inside comparrment and clothing outside for protection. Wheels and handle sturdy. 1 comment – volume wise its smaller than single compartment trolleys with the same external dimensions. 1 fault – it wont stand with another bag over the handle.
This is a relatively expensive cabin suitcase but it is a very good quality and quite practical with the 2 separate compartments. My son has used it all over Europe during his inter rail trip, and it still looks perfect. It has also a great capacity for the size. Hard to beat.
